{{_______I Want There seemed to be a large rock stuck in Rein's throat as she stood before the child whom she was instructed to play a role as guardian for. The woman swallowed. Or tried to at least. She was very nervous since she never thought of herself as a good role model or parent material. Her hands gripped even tighter onto the handle of the parasol she was holding upon seeing the child sneak behind the people clad in white lab coats.
It seemed that the little girl didn't want to be around Rein. Though was it because she being too shy or did she seem to have something against the woman? For some reason, Rein couldn't help but feel a little hurt about that. She wasn't that terrible to be around! But instead of showing that bit of sadness she was currently feeling, the woman merely laughed in a nervous gesture.
"Shy little one, isn't she?"
One of the scientists merely smiled. "Don't take it personally. It takes a while for her to adjust to new people." She explained and tried to move away so that the child was in full view again. But just as quickly, the girl quickly ducked behind the scientist once more. Had it been any other situation, Rein would have found it to be very amusing.
Finally the child decided to take a peek at Rein once more. But this time, her expression changed from that of shyness to curiosity and interest. Though clearly, it wasn't the actual person that she was interested in. Her eyes were locked onto the lacy headdress that adorned the top of Rein's silver-white head. She pointed a finger towards the headdress and lets out a whine before speaking for the first time since Rein had arrived. "Nnnn...neh, neh~! I like it! I want one too~!"
The woman blinked in confusion as one of her hands lightly touched one of the ribbons attached to the side of her headdress. She slowly took a step forward which seemed to have alerted the child who then immediately hid behind the scientist once more. Though, Rein could still see her head slightly peeking out from behind. It was obvious the child was still interested.
With a smile, she untied the headdress and pulled it off. Smoothing out the strands that had been messed up, Rein slowly held the headdress towards her.
"You want this?"
The child refused to speak but she nodded her head at the question. This made Rein smile a little. She was happy that the girl had at least decided to respond rather than ignore her. Slowly, she bent down until she was at least on eye level with the little girl. Her hand holding the accessory was still outstretched towards her. She made a small gesture indicating that the other was free to take it.
Although hesitant, the child slowly pulled away from behind her "human shield" and slowly took cautious steps over towards Rein and the headdress. Her hands reached out very slowly until they rested upon the accessory before finally, it was in the child's possession. She looked at the headdress curiously. Her hands running through the lace and the ribbons sewn onto it. A pretty smile bloomed on her face. "Pretty! So pretty! I like it!" She exclaims out loud. "Thank you....uhh...Miss....?" Her voice trialed off.
Rein chuckled again, but made no move to rise. "You can call me Rein. And who are you?"
"R-Rein..." The girl tested the name out by saying it out loud. Upon being asked for her own name, the girl had a very confused look on her face. "Me...?" At this, she lightly shrugged her shoulders. "No name." She simply answered after a short pause.
"Luska. Can I call you that then?" Rein asked.
The child tilted her head. "L-loo-suu-kah" She says out loud, however stretching the sounds of some letters longer than necessary. "Loo...loo..." She tried again.
"Luska." Rein repeated, this time a little slower. "Luu-ss-kah. You can call yourself Lulu for short if it's too hard."
"Lu....lu..." This time the child smiled and nodded her head. "Lulu~!" She dropped the headdress she was holding onto the ground and happily placed her hands on top of Rein's. "Lulu! I'm Lulu!"
"Nice to meet you Luska..." Rein replies unsure of what to do at this point. Luska's hands were still placed on top of her's. Obviously, the woman didn't want to startle the child who had just recently opened up. But it didn't seem like she needed to do anything. Luska had already pulled away which made Rein wonder if she did something wrong. She was relieved to see that she was merely picking up the accessory that had been dropped onto the ground and held it back towards its original owner.
Rein slowly took back the headdress and inspected it. There was a bit of dirt on it from being dropped onto the ground, but that can easily be remedied with some gentle washing. "Tha--" Before she could finish her sentence, she felt Luska wrap her pale arms around her neck in a hug.
"I like you! Can I have you too?" She asks in an innocent gesture.
Surely, it isn't possible for someone to be this cute right?! Rein felt herself become dizzy out of excitement and embarrassment. She chuckled nervously.
"Does this mean I can take you home...?"

{{_______Letters and Numbers Rein twirled the pencil in her hand as she inspected Luska's work...master piece as it should rightfully be called. The assignment was to practice writing numbers and the letters of the alphabet. However, aside from being able to write her name, Luska only managed to draw squiggles and blobs and fuzzy looking dust bunnies all over the paper.
"Lulu, sweetie, you were suppose to copy what I wrote here..." Rein instructed as she pointed at the first set of letters. "Here, I'll show you how to write them...again" Taking the small child's hand, Rein began to guide and trace over the symbols on the paper.
This would have been a lot easier...however, Luska's concentration was always lead astray. The first time they began practicing, she was preoccupied with watching a butterfly fluttering past outside her window. One minute later, it was a speck of dust that Rein had forgotten to clean.
Now a white fluff was fluttering past by and Luska's eyes began to trail away and locked themselves onto the distracting object.
"Luska...? Are you paying attention...?" Rein asked even though she knew the answer to the question. Surely there was an easier trick to this homeschooling stuff right? She continued to twirl her pencil as she tried to come up with an effective way to get Luska to pay attention to the task at hand.
"Boring..." Luska finally muttered after a long silence. "Too boring, don't wanna do it...."
Rein frowned at the toddler's behavior. However, an idea struck. Rising from her seat, she made her way over to the toy box placed located several feet away from them. She begun to dug around until she found a plastic zip-lock bag with colorful plastic number and letters inside.
She always kept these all the the way at the bottom since Luska never bothered to give them a second glance whenever she wanted to play with her toys. However, finally, these could be put into good use. Rein quickly made her way back towards Luska and held up the bag. "If it's boring, we'll make it fun, okay Lulu?" A large smiling bloomed as she open up the bag and spilled the contents over the table.
Luska gave the objects and Rein a look of curiosity. "Huuh?"
Rein held up an upper "A" and an lowercase "a". "This is the letter, 'a'!" She explains and sets them aside. She gave the lowercase over to Luska and kept the uppercase one for herself. Rein continued to smile as Luska gave her a look of confusion.
"This is an..." She trialed off as shew held up a capital 'L'
"L!" Luska exclaims knowing this letter very well. "L for Lulu!"
Rein smiles and hands both lowercase and uppercase L's over. This time she took out a pair of the letter 'S' which Luska was also pretty familiar of. She was given the uppercase this time.
The pattern had continued until Rein was left with one large pile while Luska only had a pile of letters that spelled out her name. She frowned as she compared how little she had compared to Rein's. "I want more~!" She complained.
"Well then, you got to start learning your letters and numbers before I can give you anymore..." Rein replied as she held up an unusual letter that Luska didn't know.
Cheeks puffed out as she pouted and reached for a pencil. "More letters!" She exclaimed with a new determined look on her face.
Seeing the spark of interest finally lighting up in Luska's eyes, Rein couldn't help but smile. It was like giving candy or toys to a baby...Rein couldn't help but think;
Just as planned!

{{_______Rein's Journal Entry 01 I've always been told--scratch that-- known that taking care of little children can be quite the handful. But I pretty much love children for the most part. It's when they start crying that I become distressed because most of the time, I don't know what to do. It's awful watching a child cry. But it feels even worse when I'm unable to do anything to stop the tears.
So that was the predicament I was in earlier today.
I wasn't sure what was hurting me more. Luska's shrill wailing or the fact that my stomach feels like it's being twisted into a tight knot. How the crying started, I wasn't too quite sure at first. But it started when Luska and I were cuddled close on the couch watching TV together. Well...it was mostly me that was watching. Apparently, Luska had fallen asleep. Eventually, I had to make a quick stop to the bathroom...which I won't get into too much detail on.
I didn't think that Luska would wake while I was gone. By the time I came back to rejoin Lulu back on the couch, she was sitting up straight. Her shoulders shaking as she cried. Watching her like that for even a second caused me to breathe with slight difficulty before I quickly rushed over towards her.
It didn't take her long to notice me. By the time her swollen red eyes locked onto me, Lulu immediately latched onto my arm like she normally would, wiping her face onto my sleeve. Although the tears and slight whimpering did not stop. I felt pretty stupid and awful for just standing still as I watched her.
Slowly and rather awkwardly, I had to give her a hug and tell her, "There, there, Lulu. Don't cry. I'm here now."
Which seemed to help. A lot.
That's when I realized a comforting hug and sweet words can work wonders for a little girl like Luska.
But...I'm starting to think that Luska might have a fear for abandonment. This has definitely not been a first occurrence and probably won't be the last...

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:
Letter Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following: Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue) Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs. Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc. Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up. Thank you.
You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

{{_______Rein's Journal Entry 02 I'm quite the newbie when it comes to taking care of kids, but I'm pretty sure normal children don't grow quite as fast as Luska does. But then again, Lulu is pretty unique amongst most children and of course the company that presented her to my care had even warned me about the sudden growth.
Lulu and I have met other children and guardians from 'Seven of Seven Inc' so I know that there shouldn't be any problems for her to make friends. I'll admit the child is not much of an delightful angel half the time, but everyone has their own bad qualities. But she does hold some good traits in her too.
Luska's cute...that's definitely one thing.
Was I suppose to elaborate more on that? Well...er...she's a sweet child too.
Though I do wish that she'd stop guilt-tripping me into buying her something. Once I buy her something, she immediately loses interest in it. I find that shopping for this child will get harder and harder.
Though it's nice to know that we share the same taste when it comes to clothes like frilly, lacy blouses. At least I know shopping for clothes wouldn't be too much of a pain. If I don't bring her along whenever I go shopping.
But that's near impossible since she hates it whenever I leave her side. She's such a troublesome child. Eugh, and the fact that she's adorable makes it really hard for me to stay mad at her. I think I should toughen up a little as a parent-figure!
But I don't think that will work out very well. I've never really liked to be too strict...
Perhaps I should consider hiring a full time babysitter?

{{_______Luska's Journal Entry 01 The lights are always on in our house. Lulu doesn't understand why it's like that, but mommy says it's because she's afraid of the dark. I thought it was silly at first. Grownups are suppose to be brave right? But mommy didn't look like she was joking at all. But now I knows why mommy is afraid.
It started when the house suddenly got all dark. I think those are called...black outs? It didn't matter though; even in the dark, Lulu can see as clear as day! But then came the sound of plates breaking and something falling from the kitchen. Lulu was confused and scared at first...didn't know what to do. But then, I remembered that mommy was in the kitchen and carefully made my over to see if she was alright.
Mommy looked very scared and confused when Lulu finally arrived. She was by the corner, with her back against the wall. Lulu could clearly see that the kitchen chairs fell over and several broken plates were all over. Mommy was breathing very hard and she was hugging her knees close to her chest. Then Lulu noticed that mommy had a cut. Not a very deep one, thankfully...
Lulu called out to her quietly, but got not response. So Lulu tries again. Mommy finally replies, but she is looking left and right, trying to find me. Lulu was standing in front of her though. She calls out my name in a shaky voice.
"L-Luska...?"
"Mommy...are you okay?"
Mommy still isn't looking my way. She doesn't say why, but she quickly answers anyway.
"O-of course I am!"
She tries to get up by using the wall as support. Then she holds her hands out, feeling the air around her. Mommy walks past me and then bumps into another chair. She almost falls back, but luckily, she didn't.
"W-where are you?" She asks.
I'm right behind you.
At least, that's what I wanted to say. But watching mommy like that makes me sad. I realized that mommy can't see very well in the dark. That is why she's afraid of the dark.
So Lulu hugs her from behind. Mommy doesn't do anything though. She still can't see. But I know this makes her feel safe. She always hugs me when I feel scared.
The lights flickered back on and finally, everything is all bright again. But most importantly; mommy can see again. So she finally turns around and I finally noticed something I didn't see before; Mommy had been crying.
She brushes it off saying that she has allergies...but Lulu knows what really happened. But I won't tell her that I know and she won't know what I saw.
Mommy has her own secrets and I have mine.

{{_______Luska's Journal Entry 02 Lulu usually only sees Aaren at mommy's bakery, she's been staying over for the past days. It's gotten very cold and mommy keeps getting sick lately and Lulu doesn't know how to clean...or cook...or any other chore. Mommy called me "hopeless" but smiled anyway. So Aaren has been helping me take care of mommy recently. Well..Aaren was mostly doing all of the work. Lulu tried to help....but didn't do such a good job...
Aaren said it was okay though. She liked to work and did everything, even clean up Lulu's room!
Lulu wonders if mommy will ever get any better though. Aaren called in a doctor and gave mommy a check up. Wasn't sure how long time had passed but finally the doctor left after talking with Aaren. Lulu wasn't sure what they were talking about and Aaren looked a little confused too. But she told Lulu not to worry. Mommy just needed to take medicine and rest for a while. But that means mommy wouldn't be able to take care of the shop!
Lulu has only ever seen one or two people work at the bakery whenever she visits. That's usually mommy and Aaren. Aaren doesn't work all the time though and the store has become very busy lately. Is it because of holidays?
Since mommy can't work, Aaren would be working in mommy's place. The idea made me even more sad. Because of this, Lulu won't have anybody to play with anymore...
But mommy and Aaren seemed to have answers for everything. Mommy was afraid that Lulu would get bored staying in the house so for the next several days, Lulu would be helping the bakery with Aaren. Lulu didn't like it at first because Lulu can't do a very good job helping out. But Aaren said Lulu can help out by giving free cookies.
Lulu didn't like that idea at first. Lulu wanted free cookies too. But then Mommy and Aaren promised they'd bake a nicer batch for me and add pink frosting on it! Mommy usually bakes the cookies and Aaren puts the pretty pictures on them. Sometimes it's a kitty's face or a heart. Thinking about them makes me very excited because Lulu loves sweets mommy and Aaren makes.
For the next few days, Lulu and Aaren worked hard in the bakery. Aaren even bought Lulu a pretty apron so that I won't dirty my outside clothes. But dirtying the apron would still make me feel bad...so I tried my best to stay clean. Aaren thought it was funny though...and tried hard not to laugh.
But she did anyway...
Aaren said she was sorry though and gave me a cupcake. Even though Lulu was still kind of mad, I still couldn't say no to the cupcake. It was pink and had white frosting with rainbow sprinkles. The cupcake was very pretty and yummy!
The bakery was still very busy. A lot of people came and called Lulu "cute" or "pretty". Made me very happy and jumpy that I almost bumped into someone with a cup of hot chocolate! Aaren quickly stopped me before someone got hurt. Aaren scolded me like how mommy would. Then it made me realize how much Lulu misses being around mommy.
Lulu always goes straight to bed after coming home and mommy is always staying in her room. Aaren said she was still really sick and wasn't allowed to come out. Plus, Lulu wasn't allowed to go inside because mommy was afraid that I'd get sick. So Lulu hasn't seen mommy for a while...
Lulu wonders when will mommy get better even though Aaren says not to worry too much. But Lulu can't help it because Lulu doesn't know how to make mommy feel better.
