It took weeks of begging, hours of whining, and a few minutes of crying for the day to come. Luska's tiny hand gripped tightly onto her guardian's as the pair made their way down the busy streets of the city. Her tail swishing side to side as she looked back on the events that unfolded to the present time.
For a while now, Luska had wanted a pet in the house. She had seen other children with them out in parks and on TV. It was about time that she should get one too! But when the toddler first asked Rein, the woman said no. She seemed prety firm on her answer too. But Luska noticed the slight hesitation.
So of course, she kept pushing the answer. Begging didn't work. Whining was starting to take affect. But Luska knew that crying would usually win the woman over and it did this time.
The pet store was in sight now. The child lets go of Rein's hand and quickly rushes over towards the window to take a peek at the puppies and kittens they had for sale.
"Luska! Don't run off like that!" Rein cried out as she walked as fast as she could over to her ward's side; running in the heels that she was currently wearing was close to impossible. A hand tightly gripped onto the girl's hand. "Now, I know you're excited about this but I'm warning you, taking care of pets is hard work!" Of course, the advice fell upon deaf ears as Luska smiles at the woman before pulling her over towards the door.
"Come on, momma! I wanna see the puppies and kitties!"
This was going to be very fun...Rein thought bitterly as she was half dragged into the shop.

Armaroq was standing by one of the many cat cages with a smile on his face. He loved watching the kittens bounce around after the little rolling balls. He also loved to pet their fur through the bars whenever they noticed he was there. He chuckled as a little black kitten pawed at his hand as he pet it before he turned his body towards a redheaded man at the counter.
"Jake! How many can I take home again?" He asked, giggling as the kitten licked his hand.
The redheaded man stared up from his position of reading a newspaper and shook his head laughing.
"As many as my dear old uncle Thomas can handle!" He exclaimed. "We need to get them homes fast!"

"Momma, look! The kitties, the kitties!" Luska cried out with joy as she bounced over towards the cages. Her tail happily swaying from side to side. She would have almost knocked into Armaroq but she quickly managed to stop herself. "Lulu's sorry~!"
"Luska, please slow down!" Rein called out with exasperation. Luska wasn't very far away from where she was currently. But having the toddler run around by herself made the woman very nervous.
She lightly pulled the girl back and away from the older boy. "E-excuse...us..." Her sentence slightly trialed off once the woman got a better look at him. Well, this was certainly a surprise...

Armaroq stepped back a little when Luska almost bumped into him. Funnily enough, he squeaked in surprise but once his good eye looked down at Luska he smiled sweetly.
"Its alright, I wasn't paying much attention." He explained, now gazing over Rein with his same smile. He bowed his head slightly as a form of apology. "I'm sorry, I didn't see her there."
By now, Jake had jumped up from his seat at the desk and was behind Armaroq. He had to stifle a laugh at his younger cousin's apology, he always wondered why the boy was always saying he was sorry. He turned he attention towards Rein and Luska quickly and extended his hand out to Rein.
"Hi there," He began, echoing Armaroq's smile. "I'm Jake, I'm one of the employees here...Are you looking for a particular pet?"

Luska giggled a little. Her tail swayed back and fourth in a rather hypnotic motion as she tried to stand on her toes to give her the extra height needed to see the cats. "So cute, so cute! Are they all yours?" She asked Armaroq.
"Oh, there's no need for you to apologize!" Rein told the boy and chuckled a little. She smiled at Jake, who greeted her and extends her own hand out to shake his. "Pleasure to meet you Jake. My name is Rein...and well, my child here..." She paused for a moment and gave Luska a uncertain look.
"Lulu wants a kitty that goes 'moo'!!" The girl exclaims when her guardian gave no reply.

Armaroq tilited his head at Luska as he glanced to the kittens and back to the young girl. Then he smiled quickly and shook his head.
"No, they aren't all my kittens!" He replied. "I haven't chosen the ones I want yet. But Jake says that I can have as many as I like with my dad's permission."
Jake smiled as he shook hands with Rein but as soon as Luska exclaimed her wish for a mooing cat he laughed.
"Oh, I don't think we have any cats that can moo!" He stated. " That would be rather funny wouldn't it though?"
