Cody stared out the car window, watching the people fly by. Shadai was taking him to a bakery so they could get some bagels for breakfast the next day as well as some other things which he didn't care to listen to. As they pulled to a stop, the child looked up at the sign. Le dulce... It sounded familiar, but he couldn't think of where he had heard it before. The door was opened and he slid out of the car, wandering up to the shop with his mother.

"Hi Rein, I was hoping you were working today," Shadai called out softly, smiling as she saw her friend behind the counter. Off by one of the windows, the female spotted Luska and gently shoved Cody in her direction. "Look, it's Luska," she muttered, catching the spawns interest at last.

Cody wandered over to where Luska was sitting and stood behind her chair. "Lulu! It been while since we last saw each other," he said, grinning. He remembered the toddler quite well. They had traded feathers and he had attempted to take one of the necklaces from the museum to give to her. That hadn't ended well at all, and he had been stuck at home for close to two weeks with little to do as punishment. Well, it hadn't been punishment really, but Arytiss had to babysit him which was punishment for both her, and him.

Shadai nodded and glanced over at Cody and Luska. "Yeah, it is him. I was rather... shocked when I went to wake him up and found my little toddler disappeared and he was there instead," she replied, giggling softly.

"But enough about me, what's been going on with you and Luska?" she asked, smiling back before glancing at the different items on display. "My, you really do have quite the shop," she muttered, knowing that they would be coming over a lot more for stuff then buying it at some random store.

Cody grinned and nodded, sitting down in the chair across from her. "Yeah, it's me. Grew not too long ago, was strange," he said, glancing at the plant nearby. "Do I really look that different? Seem like no one really realizes it's still me," he added, sighing.

"Yeah, surprising is a good word. I'd stock up on some larger clothes if I were you," Shadai suggested, knowing how hard it was for her to find Cody some clothes to wear after his... surprising growth.

"I was actually kind of hoping you two would be here. I found your card again and decided to drag Cody along just in case. Obviously, I had made a good choice," she added, smiling upon seeing the two spawn happily talking at the nearby table.

"It ok, and a hug next time would be nice," Cody replied, laughing softly at her comment of him getting bigger. Now he remembered why he liked her; she was so full of energy and rather excitable. It almost made him feel tired, almost. "Can't wait for you to grow, you'd look pretty," he added with a small grin on his face.

"I can imagine, it is pretty hot outside and everyone is probably at home or the beach," Shadai replied, giggling at what Luska said to Cody about the cookies being the best. After glancing over everything Rein was selling and trying to decide on only a few things to buy. Cody was rather active, he didn't need any extra sugar to help spark his... stealing and bartering ways.

"Alright then, how about... Hm, two dozen chocolate chip cookies and... Ary usually eats about three... Six bagels," the Egyptian requested, wondering what else she should get as well. Cake seemed... A little much, sugar wise.

Cody grinned at the cake and cookies, already twitching a bit at the sight of all that sugar. His mom never let him have that much sugar, since she was convinced that was what triggered some of his more... massive stealing sprees. Well who could blame him? Having two slices of cake, then being taken to a store it was hardly a surprise when half the store ended up in his pocket.

"Thanks, it looks yummy," he said, remembering his manners almost too late. Grabbing a cookie, he took a bite out of it and nearly grinned. They WERE good! Better than Shadai's cooking any day, not to be mean or anything. Yes, her cooking was rather good for someone like her, but it wasn't the best.

"You're right, they are the best," he finally managed to say after polishing off his cookie and grinning happily. Taking a sip of his orange juice, the spawn went after another cookie, already feeling a bit of a sugar rush and the sudden urge to take whatever was shiny or held any sort of value. Oh boy, he was going to have fun when he got home.

Shadai giggled, knowing exactly how that was. "Cody hates baths too, though it's more the getting wet part he hates. Oh, and getting his hair cut. Absolutely hates that and why his hair is so... dreadfully long," she replied, ignoring Cody's glare that he sent her way.

Cody chuckled at the entire thing, until his mother started talking about him and groaned rather loudly. If there wasn't a plate full of cookies in front of him, he would have slammed his head against the table. Or at least rested it there. "Don't like wet feathers. Smell funny. And I don' like feathers cut," he muttered in explanation, grabbing another cookie and eating it as well. And cue another sugar buzz and his sugar rush becoming rather... apparent.

His eyes kept darting to the flower vase, finding it more and more appealing every second. It was as if it was the key to saving his life and he was being denied it for some reason. "I... don't think I can eat a lot... or should..." he muttered. If his constantly darting eyes wasn't enough of a hint, his constantly shifting and stretching wings had to be enough of a clue as to his just barely contained energy burst.

"Yeah, it is common, but it was still a battle to get him into the bathtub when he was younger. It's not so bad now, though I still have to nag him a lot to take one," Shadai replied, following Rein's gaze over to Luska. "A hair salon sounds fun and she doesn't seem as... afraid of having her hair cut like Cody. She'd probably have fun," she added with a smile only for it to vanish upon realizing how much Cody was twitching.

"Oh no... If he takes anything, I promise to get it back to you later when he calms down," she muttered, wondering just how long the child could keep himself like that.

"Yeah, not like feathers cut... or cut off. Nah, not full..." Cody replied, taking a drink of his orange juice to try and calm himself. Unfortunately for him, it didn't help at all. "Not... used to sugar. Can't... keep still," he muttered and with lightning fast reflexes, his hand darted away from his orange juice, grabbed the vase, and pulled it back where it was then placed on his lap. "Sorry," he muttered, blushing a bit before looking for something else that was shiny and eye-catching.

Cody jumped to his feet when Luska had started to knock it off the table. Yet, even as he tried to grab for it to save it from destruction, he couldn't help but flinch as is hit the ground and shattered. He stared at the shattered remnants of it before looking over at Luska like she was crazy for doing such a thing.

"Wasn't ugly, and sugar is reason," he replied, scowling slightly as he sat down again. He knew it was the sugar, since only it could make him twitchy like that.

Shadai sighed and walked over, looking between the two. "I think we should go now..." she muttered, looking rather embarrassed. Cody shook his head and remained seated in the chair. "No! Don't want to leave," he whined, not really wanting to leave just yet.
