Rein was frantically making sure that the house was well prepared for the arrival of Luska's babysitter for the day. In her frantic rush, she hadn't realized that said child had left several of her toys on the floor. Being a person who rarely wears slippers cried out in pain upon stepping onto something rather sharp.

"Luska! I told you to put your toys away when you're finished playing!" Rein cried out although the child wasn't around to hear it. She might have been off hiding somewhere. Sighing tiredly, she carried the toys and carelessly threw them into a nearby toy chest in the living room.

Rein needed a break from the tiresome days of taking care of the girl. Sure, Luska was very cute and Rein loved her to bits...most of the time. But she was quite a handful. When the woman had seen the ad a couple of days ago, Rein had almost collapsed onto her knees and prayed to the heavens. Almost. She still had a bit of sanity left inside her head.

Once she deemed that the house was neat enough, Rein awaited for the doorbell to ring so that she could greet the guest.

It didn't take long for said doorbell to ring, the babysitter usually very prompt in her arrivals. Ebony's hair was braided up and her form clad in overalls and a t-shirt. Yep, all ready for work as usual. Slung over her shoulder was the satchel she usually brought, filled with things like coloring books and markers.

Nervously twitching her wings a bit, the girl smiled as she waited to be let into the house. This would be interesting at least.

Rein immediately jumped to her feet once the bell had chimed throughout the house. "Luska, your babysitter has arrived!" The woman called out but received no reply. With a sigh, she quickly rushed over towards the door. The child would come out sooner or later and Rein didn't want her guest to stay standing outside for too long because of one stubborn kid.

Rein pulled open the door and smiled as brightly as she could (although the dark shadows under her eyes could tell anyone that she was anything but energetic and happy at the moment). "Hello! Thank you for coming. You have really great timing!"

Just as Rein was greeting Ebony, Luska was peeking from the corridor that connected the entrance to the living room. Her arms were wrapped tightly around the teddy bear in the arms as she watched the interaction going on.

"Oh, well thank you. I tried to get here as soon as I could." the preteen replied with a soft smile, noting how much it seemed the guardian needed a night off. If the circles under her eyes were any indication, that was probably a lot.

The purple skinned girl carefully stepped into the house, taking a moment to just look about and see everything. She spotted the little one poking her head out from the corridor and waved a little, smiling brightly before turning back to Rein.

"Did you have anything you needed to tell me before I take over for you?" Ebby asked, following her usual procedure to make sure she had most necessary things established with the parent beforehand.

The teddy bear was squished even closer to Luska's chest. The child blinked as she looked over Ebony several times before finally turning her head away shyly.

"Sorry about that, it takes a while for her to get used to strangers" Rein explained watching Luska's actions. "Though, it's pretty easy to get her to open up when you offer something to her. There's a chance that she'll..." Rein trailed off for a moment trying to figure out what would be the right words to say. 'Taking the bait' didn't sound really nice. "That she'll want it," The woman finally says after her brief pause.

Her eyes darted to the clock on the wall. "In a few moments need to rush out of the house and get to my bakery shop for a little while to take care of some business matters. I'm not sure if I'll be back by dinner time. If its too much to ask, would you be able to make something to eat for Luska?"

Ebony nodded a bit. "Oh, no, cooking shouldn't be a problem. I like to cook." the preteen assured her.

Glancing curiously at the little girl, she thought of something. Most of her charges lately had also been from Sevens, so maybe so was this little cutiepie? She did have slightly odd feather things poking up from her ears.

"If I might ask you, before you have to go, where might you have recieved Luska from, or is she yours naturally?"

Rein sighed with relief. "Oh, that's wonderful then!" Turning her gaze towards Luska's direction upon hearing Ebony's question, Rein smiled before answering, "I adopted Luska from an adoption agency..." She paused to recall the name. "I believe...it was known as Seven of Seven...?"

Luska quickly turned her attentive gaze towards her guardian when she heard Rein say her name. She hurriedly rushed over towards the woman who was now putting her shoes on. Clingy hands, abandoning the teddy bear, now grasping onto the ends of Rein's skirt. "Nnnn, don't go!" She whined and pushed herself even closer against her gaurdian.

Rein nearly stumbled over, but luckily managed to keep her balance. Patting the child gently on the head. "I'll come back, don't worry..." She tells the girl, reassuringly. The woman turned her head towards Ebony and smiles. "Well, I'm entrusting you with my house and my Luska." Slowly, Rein pulled herself away from the childish, who looked like she was about to cry real soon. Feeling slightly guilty, the woman could only offer the girl a hug and a few reassuring words of her return before pulling away once more.

"Well, I hope the two of you will have fun together. I'll be sure to bring something back when I return!" Rein bid a farewell before she made her leave.

Sniffling a little, Luska lightly rubbed her eyes as she continued to look at the closed door. She slowly turned towards Ebony. "She...will come back....right....?"

"Of course, sweetie." Ebby assured the other girl, crouching down to rub her back reassuringly. "She just asked me to stay with you for a little while so she can go out for a bit and you won't be alone. She's just having some grown-up time. They need that sometimes, it's good for them."

Luska stiffened little at first, but immediately came to relax. Ebony's touch was comforting, so the child wasn't quite as scared of shy now. She looked up at the older girl and tilted her head curiously. "G-grown-up time?" Being just a toddler, she wasn't quite sure what Rein did whenever it didn't have to deal with her.

Her eyes finally locked onto the bag that had been brought over by Ebony. "What's inside?" Luska asks and points at it.

"Yes, like time alone to just relax and have fun on their own. Kids like time like that too sometimes." Ebby explained, "It doesn't mean she's not coming home, just that she wants to do some things for her for a bit. She'll be home to be with you again later on."

The purple girl grinned, noting the child's interest in her bag. "Oh, that's just some activity stuff I brought in case you wanted to use it. Got coloring books, paper, markers, colored pencils, crayons, all sorts of stuff. And I have some glitter tubes but that's only for special stuff."

Luska nodded her head slowly at the explanation. It made sense. No matter how attached she was to Rein, sometimes, she enjoyed being by herself sometimes.

Her lips slowly up turned into a smile. "G-glitter?" Her tail began to swish left and right in excitement. "Lulu wants~!" She exclaims while clapping her hands with glee. Glitter is very shiny and pretty; one of the many things that can easily grab the toddler's attention.

Ebony laughed lightly. "Okay, we can play with the glitter tubes, but we have to do it over newspaper or outside so we don't make a mess of the house or ruin your clothes. And we've gotta be really careful, okay?" The older female didn't want to get chewed out by Luska's mom for getting glitter all over the house and whatnot.

Luska squealed with excitement. "Okay, okay!" She exclaims while nodding her head. The little girl quickly scrambled over to the messy coffee table in the living room. It seemed that while Rein was tidying up the house, she had neglected several things.

But it didn't seem to matter. Luska had known exactly where the newspaper was buried under amongst the other papers and magazines. She held it up high as she made her way back towards Ebony. "Lulu found newspaper! What now?!"

"Well if you're sure it's no longer needed, you can just lay it out over where we're going to be playing, and then we look for smocks." the girl explained with a nod. "A smock is a special like old dirty shirt or special apron for painting or whatever in."

Luska turned the newspaper over to inspect it. "Hm..." Although, truth be told, she wasn't the best when it came to reading sometimes. Reading current news were far from interesting. However, she did know that Rein never reads the sports section, for whatever reason may be. The toddler separates it from the rest.

"This is no use!" She replies, holding up the sports section.

Now it was time to search for a "smock". For a quick minute, the child dashes into the kitchen before reappearing with a frilly white cooking apron. "Is this good?"
