[2] Preparation Solo
Tyler sighed, peering back and forth between the children's section and the adult's section. She'd been told how many children she was getting, sure, and what gender, but not anything particular about each child. And why were some in the form of necklaces, and others as actual children? It was going to be hard to prepare.
Taking a last glance at the children's toy nets, the young woman shuffled into the bed department. There were twin beds here, perfect for children. Unfortunately, she would have to make sure they'd fit in the two rooms she had cleared out for them (one had previously been an office, and the other a guest room). She purchased 8 little beds, much to the confusion of the saleswoman, and 4 each of 2 sets of bedding. Alright, that was all well and good, but she really didn't have anything for children except for her old stuffed animals. She traveled to the children's section then, picking out some fancy Scandinavian toys and oddly-sculpted kiddie-furniture. She brought all of this out to her new powder-blue van (her old silver sports car could only hold 5 people on a good day) and went back inside to get some bizarre European food.
Even for a European girl, this food was not that good. The desserts were fairly tasty, though, and so she nibbled the little things while she thought over her necklaces. What would you be like, babies? Where were you from? Oh, it was all so exciting and so depressing...

[3] The Others Come <Bogey Elena Kyle Marion>
It had been three days. Tyler awakened every morning, looked out the window for a pack of toddlers. Every time they were not there she felt a sense of both relief and disappointment. Maybe this was all some kind of sick joke. Then again, the necklaces wouldn't come off no matter how hard she tried. She'd even had to attend an audition with them on.
Now, as she headed down the stairs with her cup of tea in her M&M pajama pants and spaghetti-strap top...she heard a shifting in the nearby bedroom...one of the new ones. Suddenly excited, she ran for the bedroom allotted for the girls.
Nearest to the door sat a little girl, clutching a pillow to her chest. She was crying softly and Tyler shuffled up, crouching before her.
"Oh, honey...are you alright?"
The little girl shook her head.
"What's your name?"
A little shrug followed.
"I'm Tyler."
"Are you our new mommy?"
"I guess so. ...wait. 'Our'?"
The girl turned her head and pointed to the beds on the other side of the room. Giving the silver-haired child a little pat on the head, she moved to the other girl...a little blonde with a beauty mark. The child said nothing and only threw her arms around Tyler, crying. The other girl, so colorful and winged as she was, toddled up and handed over a little piece of paper. Tyler's brow furrowed and she read it over.
Due to strange circumstances involving the ship and its inhabitants, our darling daughter Elena needs to be sent to Gaia. Please assure her that Daddy and Mommy loved her very very much, and always will, but had to send her away to keep her safe. Yours Truly, Sasha Sachita
There was a little picture of a quaint little family stapled to it.
Tyler just blinked. Oh...so these children...they were orphans? Orphans like she was. She gathered the winged girl into her lap, although the girl just sat there and glared at the wall.
There was a small skritching from the hall and in skittered a strange red child with many legs and strange, frightening eyes. He sucked on a thumb and reached up to Tyler with one arm. Tyler arched a brow and pulled him up.
"...well, ah...welcome home. Do we all...have names? Or just Elena?"
The toddlers exchanged confused glances and little shrugs.
"Alright. That'll be a bit of an issue. How about we go over some and find ones that you like, hm? How's that sound?"

[11] Sibling Rivalry
< Elena Kyle >
Tyler was alerted of the problem at nap time by Kyle's sudden shriek emanating from the girls' bedroom. Fearing the worst, she bolted up the stairs and threw open the door. There stood Kyle, the head of a stuffed bunny rabbit hanging in her hand, the ears dragging limply. Tears stained the little deity's face. Elena stood with the body gripped so tightly that her claws were causing little pressure-holes. Tyler immediately snatched both away.
"What went on here?!" she yelped, more flustered than angry.
"'Lena took Bunbun and ripped his head off!" Kyle yelped between sobs. Elena neither confirmed nor denied the accusation which, knowing Elena, meant it was true.
"Why did you do that?" Tyler asked, trying her damndest not to snap. Nobody liked being yelled-at. Elena just glared up at her. With a heady sigh, Tyler took Elena's arm and dragged her off into the other room, Kyle trailing behind. The woman sat and began to sew the rabbit back together, scolding Elena and telling her she had to learn to share. Elena glared, barely listening.
"Why'd you hurt Bunbun?" Kyle asked, sniffling as she calmed. Elena just wheeled around and pinched her, causing a whole new bout of sobbing. Tyler gave an angry roar and dragged both girls back to the bedroom, setting Elena in the time-out corner as she sat with Kyle, trying to soothe the hysterical child. It was no more than 15 minutes when Kyle was happily napping and Tyler went to retrieve Elena, who she was admittedly still quite angry with. She said nothing to prompt what the child asked next.
"Are you gonna leave me like my old parents did?"
Tyler's eyebrows shot up, and a glance down at the girl proved that her angry glare had turned to something of a tear-barring squint.
"N...no, honey. No. Of course I'm not." She gathered the child in her arms and rocked her gently as she cried.

Official Prompt: Elena Toddlers can be very active little creatures and there are all sorts of fun things available in life. However, when the toddler in question has clawed feet and several pairs of delicate wings, not all of these activities are possible. Somehow Elena ends up in a situation where she can’t do something with her siblings due to her physical properties. What is it that happens? How does she react? How do her siblings and mother react? Is a way for the little goddess to join in found or must she wait it out?
If this prompt is unsatisfactory or a different one needs to be put up, please contact Dgcakes at once.

[13] Elena's Prompt
< Elena Kyle >
Gaia wasn't exactly the most agreeable place to live in the winter time. Snow was a given on almost any day, in any town, and the skies darkened hours earlier than the previous season. The places you could go and the things you could do shrank considerably in number, especially when you had children to entertain. Poor Tyler had eight.
"Go, go!" she sighed, making flustered shooing motions toward the nearby playscape. Chuck E Cheese had been a staple of her early life, and she figured it might as well become one of her children's too. That, and the black light hand-stamps prevented her kids from leaving without her, and that was damn handy.
Most of the boys headed for the arcade with the small bills their mother had given them (although Corey decided to go eat some pizza and chat it up with the mascot), and the girls headed for the mass of tubes and pits and netting that The Mouse called a playground. Elena followed just behind Marion into the ball pit and began up the stuffed rectangular outcroppings that one had to use as hand- and foot-holds. The girl scrabbled with her clawed feet, tearing little lines from them and struggling in an attempt to pull herself up. Her red fingers scrabbled for any sort of help, but Marion had long since disappeared down a nearby plastic tube. It seemed that Kyle had stayed behind, though, as a small dark hand grabbed Elena's wrist and tried to pull her up. With a few more terrible rending noises, the two were successful.
"You okay?" Kyle asked softly. Honestly, she was frightened of her older sister, and didn't want to be pinched. Elena just nodded, lips pursed, and Kyle scrabbled after Marion to the tube. Elena's poor ego was suffering. She'd never had this problem at the real playground! As she thought, though, she realized the general perch-like shape of the steps and...ah. It made sense. Awful, terrible, ironic sense.
Elena was the biggest of the children. That was not a hidden fact. Even she was surprised, though, when she tried to fit through the plastic tube behind the other girls and found a cutting pain in her upper wings. Ow! She looked up, glaring, and noticed that even if they were fully folded, her wings were too tall to fit through the top of the tube. Elena gave an angry growl and lunged forward, attempting to use brute force to fit. This only caused further pain, and she yelped. Tyler looked up, and then looked down. Children sometimes had to learn things on their own, and she was more worried about Corey who had leaped on stage with the animatronic band and was more than likely to get his fingers stuck in something.
Kyle, however, seemed to take a peculiar interest. Sure, she was afraid of her sister, but she was a compassionate being (a word she would learn much later in life) and Elena seemed to be in pain.
"'Lena, you need help?" she asked softly, crawling back around the bend of the tunnel.
"No," Elena snapped, trying once more to force herself through. Her wings bent at an incredibly awkward, unnatural angle.
"Well...well then could you..." Kyle paused. For a toddler, she had a matured mind, "Could you get down a second? I wanna get into the ball pit."
Elena huffed, growled, and rolled her eyes, but she hopped down and wobbled a bit to the side. Kyle crawled the rest of the length of the tube and carefully climbed down into the ball pit. She sat on an edge, holding the netting.
"I bet some kids dropped tokens in here," she offered softly, still afraid of the possible repercussions of her last-minute plan. Elena turned with her usual glare, and then looked back up to the other girls who had made it into the big hanging pen, laughing. When she looked back to Kyle, she was also looking their way. It was then she realized what was being done. For a little brat, maybe Kyle wasn't so bad.
"Okay," Elena nodded, "Let's dig around."
Kyle smiled, relaxing visibly.
"Okay."
