Tyler was laying sprawled on one of the couches in the living room, watching an old episode of "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" in her pajamas. Sure, most people would change into real clothes at some point in the day but, one, it was her day off and, two, she was just getting over a cold. She sniffled and sighed, shifting to get more comfortable. Her torso spasmed to the right. She ignored it.

A curt knock at her door sounded, just as the TV went to commercial. Outside stood a short woman with a blue-silver pompadour, a leather outfit, and a look that said "you're doomed. woohoo for you." written all over her face. The Powers that Be had assigned her to do a multi-assignment.......and she did NOT fancy being the person who had to have all these kids.

Tyler figured for a moment that it must be some Jehovah's Witnesses or a door-to-door salesman, but a glance out the window told her that...well. Maybe she was about to get mugged. But muggers didn't knock! With a little laugh at herself and a twinge of embarrassment at still being in her PJs, she opened the door.
"Can I help you?"

"No sadly, I'm apparently here to give you surprising and kind of annoying news, as well as essentially punch you in the face so you get weird necklaces. It won't hurt but it will be annoying and really bizarre. You may want to have a drink before I tell you. And you'd probably want to be somewhere in case you need to sit down." the woman said. She half expected the door slammed in her face - she'd do it if it were her, but she knew better - and was prepared to hold it open.

Tyler blinked.
"What? Who sent you?" Her heart knotted. Had they found another bug in her programming? Was she being turned into a war machine? Ah, likely over-reacting, but she'd never seen this woman before!

"No one you know. Irksome ruling powers in another galaxy." Dartie explained with a dismissive wave of her hand. "They're a pain in the a**, be glad you don't live in there."

Tyler may have lived in Gaia for a few years, but all of this...strange stuff was very lost on her.
"...what?"

"Can we just go in? I really want to get this damn thing over with and it's not the kind of thing you discuss out on the front steps. Particularly since I have to do magic in a few minutes and it's going to be really hard for you to explain to your neighbors - and what's going to happen in the next few days will be enough to explain." she grumbled.

Tyler itched her head again. Well, it didn't look like she was going to be attacked, and if she was, she was certain her neighbors would call for help.
"Alright. Come on in. Can I get you anything?"

Dartsmoore followed the woman in, taking care not to muss anything while not looking like she was bothering with that.
"No thank you. But if you'd like a shot before I give you the news, I can provide you with one." she intoned with a shrug.

A shot?
"Err...no, thanks," Tyler said. She sat down on her couch and looked quite relaxed, but she was still tense enough to leap up if need be.
"So...what's this mysterious 'news'?"

Dartsmoore shrugged and figured she'd get it over with. "You're going to be a mother.........to eight toddlers........starting in the next coupla of days.

"Like I said, awkward news. You will be caring for eight children. Some of them are due to arrive any day now." she intoned, a little more clearly this time. It was hard to believe which is why she'd even bothered restating it.

Tyler had heard that children show up in strange ways on Gaia, something like the Virgin Mary minus the painful birthing process.
"Why me?"
