July, 2008 Tryst(Rysha), Emmet(Riley) Anger Management
Satin Regret Rysha was irritated. Beyond belief. Actually, that was probably a severe understatement, though she would never admit that to anyone out loud, only to herself in her head. The result? Running her hands through her hair in irritation, cracking her knuckles, and pacing about the room. Yeah, that was the extent of her anger that she let herself show on the surface. Rysha was just controlled like that. And the reason the deity-in-hiding was annoyed? That a couple of stupid mortals managed to trick her into taking a kid, because they knew she wasn't legally "alive," as it were, in any sort of legal documents. So, with threats of revealing her to law forces, they coerced her into taking on the little girl, Tryst. She agreed because it would have made things much too inconvenient for her to go through everything again, much less having to deal with the process of making another dance studio. At that thought, she couldn't help but look at the little girl sitting on the floor against the wall, curled over and around herself with her brother, eyes shut and her whitish hair draped over her face. Tryst's pale blue eyes opened as she felt the woman's gaze on her, Rysha's. Not 'the woman,' "mom." It felt funny thinking of her like that, after being with scientists. All she'd known that was constant was her brother, Emmet. She smiled hesitantly at Rysha, whose irritated expression softened as the brunette looked away. Tryst looked down at her brother, sleeping with his head in her lap, and she shook his shoulder gently. "Emmy..." She mumbled, not nearly loud enough to be heard by Rysha or the other man, the one who was gonna take Emmet. Enoh Love Riley was in a similar predicament...but his way of dealing with irritation was much different than the woman's. He stood apart from the rest of the group, his head bowed and his thumb and index finger pinched at the bridge of his nose. He was supposed to have been leaving today, to go back to his barracks and probably get a new mission...something that would keep him away from this town, and from Crescentia. But then, god damnit, he had been called to this strange place and blackmailed into taking some noseless, legless albino freak!
He had been thinking about it...the ones who had blackmailed him were ingenious. If they had been able to find the information they needed to nail him with the...boy...then they would be able to track him down, even if he left. He also couldn't risk his entire life over it, either. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and staring at him in his dilemma was a white scaled, black-eyed, red-pupiled little boy with no nose. Only he wasn't staring at him now, the noseless wonder was sleeping on his sister. The military man grumbled to himself and pushed off the wall with his shoulder, slowly moving back towards the woman and the two...creatures.
"So...how are we going to do this?" He asked the woman, standing near her with a wide stance and his arms folded over his chest.
Meanwhile, the little snake boy snoozed contentedly on his sister, unaware or at least uncaring of the predicament his guardian was in. Outside of the slow rise and fall of his chest, he didn't move...at least until Tryst shook his shoulder. Emmet gave a little grumble and moved to sit up, yawning so wide it cracked his jaw wider than a normal human's should, his forked tongue flicking out of his lips.
"Wha, Mist?" He mumbled back, lifting himself up to sit back on his tail. His slitted red pupils moved to glance at his blue-eyed twin before he closed them to rub at them with his fists. Satin Regret Rysha's green eyed gaze was drawn to the man when he spoke. What was his name again? Ricky? Waldo? He was irritated as well, quite angry actually, and, like her, was hiding it just as much as she was. "How are we going to do what?" She asked carefully, crossing her arms and watching him through her hair, her bangs having fallen over her eyes, and she didn't particularly feel like brushing them away at the moment. "About the two kids?" Rysha looked over at them again, the irritation at the situation in general present in her eyes, but when she watched the two siblings, her gaze always softened. She couldn't help it. They were adorable, especially how the two cared so much for each other. Tryst was watching their new parents talking, but she was pretty much ignoring what they said. They were probably arguing about what to do, but she already knew they'd take them home. That's what the doctors said, and she believed them. "Mmhm. Gotta wake up, sleepy head." She grinned at her brother, small pointed fangs gleaming softly in the fluorescent lights. "The labbies left, and... They're talking." Tryst hesitated before she said 'they.' It felt weird to call them momma and pops, ignoring the fact that for the man at least the title seemed severely inappropriate for his image. Enoh Love "Yes, about them." Riley paused, having given her a strange look for her initial response. "Are we going to split them up entirely, keep them in the same area? Visitation hours? I don't know where to start." He spat his last words out as his annoyance got too much to control. Unclenching his fists, the man ran his hands through his currenly long, dark brown hair. He hadn't had a chance to cut it, or to shave his goatee; but he was planning on doing that tonight. Or at least he was, now he would probably have to buy heating pads and dead, frozen mice.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what to do with...them." He hissed the word, motioning lifelessly to the snake twins that were now awake and aware, both staring at them.
"Talking." He repeated slowly. Emmet's tongue flicked out from between his pursed lips, looking thoughtful if not worried about what his sister had told him. Reaching out with a cold hand, he grabbed Tryst's and grasped it tightly. "D'you think Mist will leave...?" He said, keeping his tone hushed like they had been. The idea of leaving the familiarity of the lab and the comfort of his sister made his stomach twist painfully, and not even his free hand rubbing his white skin seemed to make it feel better. Satin Regret She rolled her eyes towards the ceiling, before heaving a big breath of air. "Well, since they're siblings, twins to boot, I think it'd be best if they're near each other at least. I've got an apartment in Barton, but it isn't exactly ginormous or the lap of luxury. I can make room for Tryst, no problem. Dunno about you two though..."Rysha trailed off, thinking. There were probably apartments for rent or sale scattered around town. But it'd be best if the two were close together. Her apartment had room for at least two bedrooms, possibly a third if she moved all her crap out've the storage room. Possibly if Sergeant Whats-his-name didn't blow his top and wouldn't mind sharing her apartment. Turning away from him, she walked over to the twins, squatting down in front of them and putting on a small, encouraging smile. "You two awake?" Rysha asked softly. Tryst clung tightly to his hand in return, feeling the familiar scales covering his fingers. She gave him an encouraging smile when he asked what she was afraid to think. "I don't know, Emmy..." She said honestly, looking up as Rysha, momma, came over, sitting in front of them. Tryst nodded mutely, watching her while she snaked her head under Emmet's arm, holding onto him around the waist. "Yes momma, we are." Tryst snuggled closer to her brother, her eyes turning to the big scary man standing behind Rysha. Enoh Love Riley closed his eyes for a moment, pinching the bridge of his nose as he always did when he was frustrated and thinking. "That makes sense...It would be cruel to split them up." Not that life hadn't been cruel to both him and the brown haired female near him. Someone in this messed up situation had to come out happy...it might as well be the little ones. They can be disappointed with life when they grow up; even Riley had a good childhood. He did ponder the situation with the living arrangements.
"I don't have enough room for four in my apartment...and they may be too young to be seperated just yet." He didn't know how it worked with clutch mates. "Do you think it would be possible to pool resources and get a comfortable apartment or a small house?" He was sure he could afford a house on his own, he didn't cost himself much money outside of his security system and weaponry...but it depended on her. When she moved towards the twins, he did too.
Emmet's eyes tilted downwards when Tryst answered...that wasn't what he wanted to hear, really. Footsteps caught his attention and like his twin, he looked up with wide black eyes at the woman who approached...then slowly turned his large gaze towards the other male in the room. A low hiss escaped his throat, but that was as far as his threat got; even before the sound left his lips he was clinging to his sister, his tail moving to curl as best as it could around them. When it came to Guardians, Tryst got the better deal...that man was scary. Satin Regret She pondered, watching the twins with a finger resting on her chin, both elbows on her knees. "Well, my apartment could probably fit the four of us, if these two don't mind sharing a room, which I doubt we have to worry about." If he was alright with moving together, she really didn't mind that much. Besides, he could help pay for rent, since being a dance instructor didn't have the best income, granted she was a good instructor, but still. "A small house would work too, though that'd be more expensive, 'cus I'm not leaving my dance studio. The apartment is cheaper cus it's in the same building, which I own. Kinda." Back to the legally "non-existing" part. Yippee. But jeez, Tryst calling her 'momma.' Oh, that'd take a little getting used to... Tryst nuzzled against Emmet's neck, making small comforting crooning sounds. "It'll be okay, Emmy. Hear what they're saying?" She said softly, looking up at him, her blue eyes seeking his black ones. "They want to keep us together, maybe even the same room!" That thought gave Tryst a real smile, which she turned to the man and Rysha, her smile was bright and grateful. "Please?" She asked them, a single plaintive plea. Enoh Love "I'm sure I could find a place nearby your studio. I have a lot of equipment that would clutter a small apartment up. Maybe a split level house would be nice." Riley was musing, wondering what would be available in Barton that could house two adult strangers, two strange snake children and a mass of technology. "I'm sure I could find something near to your dance studio...and in the name of not leaving Emmet alone I'm sure I can make it work, financially." Lord knew he wouldn't be a good father, it would do the snakeboy good to have his sister, and someone who was friendlier.
Emmet's black gaze moved down to his sister when she spoke, his tongue flicking out of his lips once more. "Uh huh!" His scaled lips parted into a grin when he looked at Tryst's smile, and his dark eyes moved towards the tall man that was to be his father. "Yes, please?" He repeated after her, his gaze focused past the woman to the man there, who seemed to already have a plan in mind.
Riley's gaze shifted uncomfortably away from Emmet's, instead focusing his grey eyes on the woman's back. "It would be good for them. We don't have to like eachother, and we don't need to keep tabs on eachother at all. Outside of the snakelings we don't even have to talk to eachother...but I think they need eachother more than we believe they do." As if Emmet's clinging didn't give that away. Satin Regret Rysha nodded, not minding. They could rent out her old apartment, bring in a little extra cash in addition to her dance fees, so Riley wasn't paying for everything. "That'll work." She said, looking at him over her shoulder and giving him a small smile. "Though personally, I'm more likely to talk to whoever I live with as opposed to pretending they don't exist. I'm sure you're an alright guy, spontaneous blackmailing and sudden parental duties aside." Rysha said teasingly, turning back to the children with a genuine smile this time. "You guys want that, right? All of us living together?" So she wasn't the best with kids, but she could try. Tryst's response was to unwind herself from her brother, slithering and pulling herself across the couple feet of floor to Rysha, and wrapping herself around the woman. She hugged her around the waist, her tail in convoluted twists underneath her and pushing her up so she was pressing against Rysha. "Yes please." The happy smile was still on her face; she wouldn't have to leave Emmet, and that made it all alright. Oh lord, was she adorable... Rysha couldn't help it, the thought came unbidden. Her bright blue eyes were so soulful, her arms slowly slid around the little girls torso too. "Momma works, just fine." She mumbled to herself. Enoh Love "I wasn't sure if you'd be the type to talk to a stranger." Riley said, with the ghost of a smile forming on his lips. "And I'm sure we can get along somehow, spontaneous blackmailing and sudden parental duties aside." Despite his expression and his choice of words, he was trying to be optimistic. But it was hard, considering their situation; Riley had lived alone for so long, and now he was going to share a house with a woman and two children...and they weren't a family.
Emmet was nodding energetically when the woman asked if it was okay to live together. Hell, he would live outside in the cold just to stay near Tryst! He stared at his sister when she moved away from him, and after staring at her for a moment, he followed her lead, slithering slowly, uncertainly, to the tall man that was going to be his guardian. When he got near the adult male, he looked over his shoulder at Tryst again, then back to Riley. Again following her lead, he reached out to put his hands on Riley's leg to help hoist himself up on his tail to hug Riley around the waist. If Tryst did it, it had to work.
"Uhh...Hi." He muttered quietly, patting the boy's scruffy, light blue haired head. "It won't be right away...we'll have to live seperately until we find a place...but we will all live together, okay?" Riley was trying to sound reassuring, but he was sure he was failing. His career demanded he be great at lying, at pretending and creating...and he was good at it, but in this situation...he wasn't so sure.
"Promise?" Emmet piped up from under Riley's arm, staring at the man with wide, glossy eyes.
"...I promise." Riley said, ruffling the boy's hair. Satin Regret Rysha shrugged in response to that, just giving him a grin. "I can deal with it." Standing up carefully, she kept a hold on Tryst, sliding her arms so they were under the girl's backside, giving her something to sit on while still holding onto Rysha. "You don't mind waiting a few days or so, do you sweet? We need a little time to find a house that we can all live in. You'll be with me in my apartment till then." She smiled at Tryst, who smiled in return. The girl wrapped her arms around Rysha's neck, burying her face into Rysha's shoulder. "Yes, mamma." She mumbled, smiling. If she could be with Emmet, she didn't mind waiting a few days. They'd still see each other in between, so it'd be fine. Rysha turned back to Riley, asking "So, should we get going then? I need a ride, if you can spare it. I, uhm, kinda took the bus here. Dunno if Tryst would want to go back that way." She said, lying through a hesitant smile; she teleported here, but that wasn't something she was going to share with anyone, Riley or Tryst. Enoh Love Emmet grabbed for Riley's hand, figuring that the man wouldn't be the type to pick him up. He clung to the Military man like he was a lifeline; his sister was going to leave him for a few days and he needed somebody, anybody, to cling to. To make himself feel comfortable. To wash away the queasy feeling that was bubbling up in his stomach.
"Yeah, lets get going." Riley said after a moment, slowly leaning down to pick up the little snakeling, holding him lightly against his chest. "I can take you two home, thats fine." It would be a good idea to remember where she lived...for future reference, anyway. With that he walked towards the door of the room, holding it open for the two females before guiding them out of the building and to his poor Cavalier, who had never had more than one person in it. Not that it would really matter.
"I should get carseats for them, I think." Riley mused. Satin Regret Rysha followed after him, holding Tryst in her arms while the girl watched their surroundings slowly pass by. When they got out to the car, Rysha raised an eyebrow at the car, but refrained from commenting. "Carseats would be good, but how would they fit? Kinda don't have legs to put in." She put Tryst in the back seat anyways, making sure she was buckled in. "And if we pass a toy store on the way, want to stop? Gonna get a two for them, something to hold onto between visits."Enoh Love "I don't know...maybe we can get one custom-made with harnesses to hold their tails." Riley mused grumpily, putting Emmet in the backseat beside his sister and buckling him in as well, though probaby not as securely as Rysha would have made Tryst. The military man wasn't much of a father.
"Yeah, we can stop. We might as well, I don't have toys for a kid. What kind of things do kids like now, anyway?" Though he spoke calmly, it was clear he was still irked and short on patience, though he was trying his best. Sliding into the drivers seat, he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot for the labs, heading out. "You're going to have to give me directions to your house, too."
Emmet fidgeted with his seatbelt, trying to get it away from his neck. This was uncomfortable! Pouting, he reached out for Tryst's hand, gripping it tightly once he found it. They had just left the only place on Gaia he knew. Satin Regret Rysha merely shrugged as he started off. "Uhm, well, younger kids generally like stuffed animals or something. There should be a Toys R'Us between here and Barton..." She trailed off, watching out her window for any sort of toy store. Tryst looked over at Emmet when he grabbed her hand, holding onto it tightly. She smiled at him brightly, leaning over as best she could and resting her forehead on his. "It'll be fine Emmy..." She said, a smile on her pale face.

July, 2008 Tryst, Rysha Solo Post
It hadn't taken them too long to arrive in Barton. The trip to the Toys R'Us between Rysha's apartment and Aekea didn't take very long, not at all. The foursome had left with two new additions. Rysha had gotten toys for the two snake children, a plush of two things called 'pokemon.' Tryst had one called Raichu, and Emmet had picked one called Weedle. Just something for the two to hold onto untill they came up with better plans. Riley dropped them off in front of Rysha's dance studio shortly after they left the toy store. So, the new mother and her "child" were standing in front of the studio, Rysha's hands occupied on one side by the little girl's, on the other side by the suitcase given to her by the doctors, containing Trsyt's small amount of possessions. As it was, Rysha couldn't help but look down at the pale little girl. Tryst was looking around avidly at her new surroundings, her head constantly turning to take in the busy street behind them, the people meandering down the side walk, and the studio in front of them that was wedged between the two buildings to either side. She coughed slightly, drawing the child's attention to her, and put up a small, if somewhat uncomfortable, smile on her face. "Well, erm, I'll show you your room, then." Rysha said, stooping slightly to lift the girl up, sitting her on her hip and putting Tryst's arms around her neck. Getting up the narrow stairway at the side of the studio took some jumbling, and a near fall, but Rysha managed it. Somehow. They got upstairs to Rysha's apartment, the dancer immediately dropping the suitcase and setting Tryst on the kitchenette counter. It wasn't a particularly big apartment; two bedrooms, a small storage room, a bathroom, and a kitchenette connected to a small sized living room. Random stuff was scattered about, and Tryst was still looking around curiously. "Can I get my colorin' book?" She asked suddenly, turning to Rysha with her pale blue eyes wide. "Erm, sure. Is it in your suitcase, doll?" At Tryst's nod, she knelt down, unzipping the case and managing to find the children's book packed on the top. She flipped through it briefly, looking at the halfway colored letters and numbers that were filled in fairly neatly, considering it was a toddler. She handed it to the girl with a friendly smile, giving her some of the markers that were in the suitcase as well, before standing up and closing the suitcase again. "You can sit on the couch and color if you'd like. I'll, uh, set up your room." Rysha said, still just a little awkward as Tryst smiled brightly, sliding off the counter and slithering to the worn down sofa. How does a Goddess get into this mess? Jeez... She thought, rubbing her face with a hand as she dragged the suitcase down the small hallway to her new daughter's room...

July, 2008 Tryst(Rysha), Lewis(Bug) Quack, Quack!
Wotcher A swaying bag of bread crumbs clutched tightly in his hand, Lewis excitedly skipped forward with a grin on his face. They were going to see the ducks again! The ducks lived at the pond in the park, and they were very nice. They swam around and made quacking noises and even swan towards him when he threw the bread into the water! Except sometimes they were mean if he ran out of bread and they wanted more. But that was only sometimes!
"Quack, quack," Lewis said, pausing to turn around and face his guardian, who was walking slowly behind him. Bug was very slow all of the time. Perhaps he was old? Maybe that's why his skin was green! "Hurry up, we's almost there," the boy called, before turning around and hopping off again, black curls bouncing.
Pushing his beak-like mouth into a scowl, Bug did not increase his pace any. It was too hot to run. Oh, how he hated these Gaian summers. The seasons on the Motherland were pleasantly mild compared to this planet. "Slow down! Don't run into the water like last time," the Zurg yelled as he passed through the gates of the park.
Joy. They were here. Satin Regret Rysha was wandering around the park, dressed for the heat in plain jean capris and a double layered tanktop, her hair tugged back in a ponytail. It was definately hot out today, though the dancer didn't mind so much. She was used to sweating, so she just ignored it. At the moment, she was basically meandering around town with Tryst, giving the girl a basic layout of Barton; it had been less then twenty-four hours since the snake girl was hoisted on Rysha, and, though it still annoyed her slightly, she could manage. Tryst was slithering along beside Rysha, her little white hand tucked into Rysha's larger, much tanner one. The toddler couldn't quite keep up with Rysha's walking pace, but she was managing well enough. She had refused to be carried, since she was used to slithering anyways, it didn't matter. As it was, her head was craning back and forth in every direction, taking in all the sights; she didn't mind the heat in the least, it felt pleasant. But it was her first time to really get a chance to look around outside of the labs, and she was taking advantage of it.Wotcher Reaching the pond, Lewis opened the small bag of crumbs hurriedly, digging his hand into and withdrawing a fistful of the crumbs. Tossing it to the already gathering ducks, the boy giggled as they snapped up the snack. "Quack, quack!" The ducks were so funny. They made weird noises and had feet that were almost like his!
Swirling around to ensure that Bug was there and enjoying the ducks as much as he was, the boy instead saw someone else. Oooh, pretty! There was a girl there with a lady, and the girl did not have any legs! Instead, she had a...thing. A thing like worms and snakes had. Looking down, Lewis blinked at his own legs. It'd be weird to not have them.
Forgetting the ducks momentarily, he ran forward until he was close enough to speak to the no-legged girl. "Cool! You has no legs and you is really white," he chirped, beaming at her.
Bug signed as he saw the toddler make a beeline for the girl and her parent. Why did this always happen whenever they went out? Actually moving forward at something faster than a walk, the Zurg frowned at the curly-haired boy. "Lewis, what I told you about bothering strangers? I hope he didn't disturb you," he said, turning towards the woman. Satin Regret Rysha hadn't really been paying much attention to what was immediately in front of her, so she stopped short when there was suddenly a fuzzy white boy with a large mop of black curls on his head, standing in front of them and peering at Tryst. Commenting on Tryst's appearance. Whoops. Rysha still wasn't sure if the girl was sensitive about anything like that or not; she hadn't said anything, so Rysha couldn't be sure. Tryst was surprised also, but her reaction was mostly contained to blinking her eyes in surprise. "You've got, uhm... Curly hair?" She ended in a question; she had no clue who the boy was, but felt as if some kind of answer was expected. He certainly looked interesting. Gangly legs, crazy curls... The snake girl couldn't help but have a small smile creep across her lips, just as the green skinned man ran up. "It's alright, it's alright." Rysha said to the man, presumably the boy's parent, father, whatever. A Zurg, huh. She hadn't seen too many around in awhile, though she didn't mind them at all.

July, 2008 Tryst(Rysha), Emmet(Riley), Clay, Romeo, Deidre(Marco) "Family Outing"
Enoh Love Riley sighed softly, resting his head back against his seat. He didn't know why he was doing this, he didn't know what prompted him to leave his house with his noseless wonder of a charge, to drive to Rysha's house, invite himself in and request a family outing. Well that was a total lie, he considered it the fault of Crescentia, the woman who indirectly was the cause of his forced adoption of Emmet. She told him he should be more friendly, that he should act like a father, and to consider what his own father had done when he was a child.
That was probably the reason he was here now; he was trying to be the way his own father was.
So he'd talked Rysha into going to the park with him and Emmet; it wasn't hard to convince Tryst to come along either, once Emmet had his scaley little hands on her in a bear-like hug not very many snakes could pull off. It may have taken some convincing to get them to go into his car, and he knew it was hard to get Emmet back into his carseat. The boy absolutely REFUSED to sit in it, claiming it was uncomfortable...but he always did it anyway. Snake or not he was still a toddler, and still far enough under the weight restriction to legally need a carseat. Riley had one for Tryst, too.
At least he didn't force them into cages and tanks like they should be. He was able to compromise!
So the four of them had a nice drive to the park in Riley's old but fuel efficient silver Cavalier, the radio playing quietly. By the time they got there, Emmet was passed out in his carseat, snoring lightly. His tongue flicked out from between his lips every so often and his little hands had a death grip on his own tail. Riley, trying to be a good father (again at Crescentia's demand), had to quietly pry the boy's fingers from around his own tail, and then lift him out of the car seat. It wasn't easy. As soon as the military man had Emmet out of the car, the boy's tail had twisted around Riley's midsection, squeezing lightly...but tight enough to know he wouldn't be able to break that hold without breaking his charge.
"Uhh, we're here." Riley said lamely, motioning to the park. He felt stupid and unsure...and those were two things he could never deal with. Stupid Crescentia. Stupid D-Corp. Satin Regret Rysha was sitting up in the front seat, one foot on the seat by her backside, pushing her knee in front of her chest, and her elbow on the edge of the window, her chin in the palm of her hand. Family outing. Right.Riley and Emmet had shown up on the doorstep of her dance studio, Mr. Oh-So-Sensitive ringing the doorbell multiple times after apparently forgetting her apartment was on the second floor. Once Tryst got a look at who was there, though, they were pretty much out the door, no point in arguing. Not that Rysha was begrudging the twins their time together, but still. A lady generally needed at least five minutes to get decent, especially after being called to the door in what was basically her pajamas. So the two of them were accompanying Riley and Emmet to the park, Rysha looking similar to a teenager woken up at 10am as opposed to 2pm, eyes gazing blankly out the window at the scenery passing by. Tryst was sitting contentedly in the back seat with Emmet, strapped into the child seat with her tail carefully wound through one of the leg holes, trailing onto the footspace of the car. The Raichu plush toy that Rysha had bought for her was ensconced in white scaled arms, as Tryst didn't often let go of it. "Momma, when're we gonna get there?" She asked, pitching her voice a little louder to be heard over the radio. "Soon, sweetie." Rysha said, turning back to look at the twins with a smile, the park coming into view and being less then two minutes away. Unaru It was a very fine day today, Marco was rather pleased with his decision to take the children to the park for the day. The man was sitting on a park bench hands folded in his lap and back straight in a very serene manner. The man had on some very peculiar garments, they were reminiscent of his times back in the old country and his stay at the Buddhist temple. His long braided black pony-tail fell almost down to the ground as it went through the back of the bench. The man was smiling, not a wide smile but one of those content smiles cheerful people seemed to always have on their face. His little girl Deidre wasn't exactly in the actual park. She was off to the side a bit, away from the wood chips and in a grassier area where there were plenty of flowers and other pretty little things. She was busying herself by making a crown for herself out of various different wild flowers. The red headed boy Claydon was goofing around on the monkey bars, he was wriggling and squirming his way to the top of them. He wanted to be like one of those stunt men who did those daring amazing things that everyone adored. Fortunately the boy was still too young and lacked the upper body strength to successfully pull himself up to the top of the bars, though Marco kept a watchful eye on him none the less.Romeo the chubbier black haired triplet was sitting in the wood chips, he had a Batman and Riddler action figure and he was muttering to himself voicing his toys. He played make-believe often with his action figures, it was his favorite mode of play. He was smiling and laughing as new ideas for the evil plots of the Riddler came into mind and then plans for Batman to thwart them. Enoh Love Riley pulled up to the parking lot for the park as quietly as his car could, putting it into park and taking out the keys with one hand while opening the drivers side door with the other. Silently he opened the door behind his, where Emmet was completely and utterly passed out, his Weedle plushie gripped tightly in his chubby little arms. Unbuckling the noseless wonder from his carseat, he pulled him out of the car and held him awkwardly for a moment, hoping to god that would be enough to wake Emmet up.
Apparently, it was not.
Sighing to himself, the military man lightly kicked the rear car door shut, before looking over the roof of it to see how Rysha was fairing with Tryst. Emmet's somewhat cold, scaley tail had long since wrapped around Riley's waist once more, holding onto him tightly.
"I'll learn eventually." He finally and sheepishly spoke to Rysha, in regards to his uhh, 'kidnapping' in order to get them here. How was he supposed to know a woman needed time to get ready? Crescentia only wore clothes when she had to, so its not like he had anything to compare it to. Then, he lightly shook the boy's shoulder, trying to get him to wake up. "Emmet...we're here, wake up." Riley said quietly, if not awkwardly.
Emmet only let out a groan, hugging his Weedle Plush tighter to his body and shifting his cheek to squish against Riley's shoulder. But when Riley persisted in shaking him lightly, Emmet's black eyes opened, his red pupils shifting in and out of focus before he yawned so wide it unhinged his jaw; a move he had been prone to do from day one. Cracking his jaw back into place as if it were nothing, he looked around the park and its inhabitants. Pure black eyes, devoid of any colour other than those red pupils of his, fell on the little girl with the flowers, the boy in the woodchips, and the boy on the monkey bars. Suddenly, he let out a tiny little noise and clung to Riley tighter than he had been before, his poor Weedle plush stuck between his white scales and Riley's grey shirt. "Go home now." He mummbled, pleading with the Guardian he knew wouldn't listen. Dark eyes turned, trying to find Rysha and Tryst to see if they would back him up.
"No, Emmet...we need out, you need out. This'll be good for you! Look at the other little kids...and Tryst is here, no need to worry." Riley explained with a pointed look at Rysha, stepping around the car to move to the park itself, wondering where to try and put the little Python down. Satin Regret Rysha had also gotten out, carefully extracting Tryst from the baby seat before making her comfortable in her arms. The snake girl's tail had also wrapped around Rysha's waist, not too tightly since they had already experienced Tryst's tail strength, but strong enough to not fall were she to suddenly drop. She had decided to forgive Riley for the intrusion, she really didn't mind too much. As he said himself, he was learning. So Rysha gave him a break and just smiled at him. Tryst was fairly awake, and looking around in interest. Apparently more outgoing then her brother, or at least more willing to give something a chance. Her blue eyes also fell on the three children nearby, though her immediate reaction, unlike Emmet, was the smile brightly, waving her hands in their direction. "Go over?" She asked, tilting her head backwards to look at Rysha, who started laughing. "Well, seems there's at least one difference in the twins. C'mon, Emmet, it'll do you good to meet some people besides me and sour-puss." The woman said, a crooked grin on her face as she shifted Tryst so that the girl was on her back, the raichu plush between her chest and Rysha's back, tail still around her waist. Unaru Marco turned his head as he noticed the others pull into the parks parking lot. He smiled at them briefly before returning his attention to his kids. He didn't want to let them play unwatched for very long. He knew what those three were capable of doing, especially Clay.Deidre noticed as well as the other two children came out of the car. Her eyes easily passed over the boy, she didn't need to deal with another one of them if he was anything like her brothers. She seemed excited though at the sight of another girl. She wondered if she would want to make flower crowns and bracelets with her.Romeo was rather oblivious to the others arrival. He was too absorbed into his fantasy world to notice. Clay noticed that other kids were coming, he though they looked pretty weird, they didn't even have legs but that was like Ter. He wondered for a moment if they knew him too, but didn't make any movements to go out of his way to greet them. Enoh Love Riley moved closer to the other man and the dark skinned little ones, and the closer he got to them he seemed to realize that they weren't all human either. They had tails, ears...and little horns. They were cute though, and normal looking outside of those little tweaks. What he wouldn't give to have been blackmailed for a normal-looking child instead. The military man mused over this, holding onto the small of Emmet's back with one arm while trying to pry the boy's tail from around his waist.
"Come on Emmet, you have to get down at some point. Rysha's right, you need to meet people." He struggled with the boy's grip, and when it appeared that wasn't going to work, he sighed heavilly and pointed to Tryst. "Emmet, Tryst is going, you should go too." Riley found that if Emmet found out Tryst was going to do something, he would do it too.
Emmet closed his lips tightly, then parted them again slowly in a sigh, unwinding his tail from Riley and letting his Guardian lower him to the ground. His cold, scaley hand gripped Riley's and he slithered slowly alongside his Guardian, eyeing the three children and the other man. His tongue flicking out from between his lips every now and then, tasting the air around him. Parks were pretty, but they were too open for his liking...he wanted to go back to that small little room he had in Riley's apartment.
"Go on Emmet, go play." Riley said quietly to the little boy after sitting himself down in the grass, letting go of the little Leucistic's hand and trying to urge him in the direction of the other three little ones.
Emmet could only stare at them with wide black eyes, his slitted red pupils shifting from one child to the other in a fit of panic. Satin Regret Rysha had already set Tryst down while Riley was talking Emmet into letting go. Squatting down and balancing on her toes, she tapped Tryst's small nose. "I don't need to tell you to play nice, do I? And keep an eye on Emmet. He's here for you." She said, smiling before giving Tryst a gentle shove in the direction of the other kids. Tryst obliged, leaning over to grab Emmet's scaley hand while making forward motions. "C'mon, Emmy." She crooned encouragingly, looking again towards the three dark skinned children. The black haired one seemed to be oblivious to everything, but the other two were watching them. Smiling, she pulled Emmet along with her, slithering slowly towards them. Tryst might be the more open one, but she was shy about approaching people just as Emmet was shy about it in general. Unaru Deidre watched the other girl closely, she was trying to decide whether or not to approach her. She had the boys hand in hers and they looked very similar, she guessed they might be siblings.Romeo didn't notice the other kids still, he continued to play with his action figures giggling to himself every once in a while. Clay was now at the top of the tunnel slide. He wasn't sure what the kids wanted to do there but the tunnel slide was his secret hide out. He slipped in and slid halfway down before stopping himself and waiting there. Enoh Love Emmet jumped a bit when someone grabbed his hand...though it didn't take him long to register that it was Tryst's hand that had his. "Okay, Mist..." He slithered after his twin, his hand gripping hers tightly. While the other kids got closer and closer, Emmet continued to stare at them, each in turn. His tongue flickered out from between his lips when the reddish haired boy disappeared into the strange tunnel, mildly curious as to why the boy suddenly disappeared...and why he wasn't coming back out the other end. The girl seemed more interested in Tryst and the other boy didn't seem to care at all.
Biting down on his bottom lip with his little fangs, he slowly let go of Tryst's hand with a deep breath. He was curious as to why the redheaded one wasn't appearing at the end of the tunnel, and he was working up the courage to go find out. Slowly and carefully, he slithered closer to the tunnel slide, occassionally stopping to look over his shoulder at Tryst, Riley and Rysha. When he finally made it to the slide he flicked out his tongue, tasting the air. The boy was still there it seemed...maybe he was stuck?
Child-like curiousity won over the careful warning his queasy stomach was giving him, and he slowly lowered himself enough on his tail to peek into the bottom end of the tunnel, his cold scaley hands resting on the warm plastic.
"H-hello...?" Enoh Love Emmet jumped a bit when someone grabbed his hand...though it didn't take him long to register that it was Tryst's hand that had his. "Okay, Mist..." Child-like curiousity won over the careful warning his queasy stomach was giving him, and he slowly lowered himself enough on his tail to peek into the bottom end of the tunnel, his cold scaley hands resting on the warm plastic.
"H-hello...?" Unaru "Hi!" Deidre said with a smile as the girl approached her, "I'm Deidre!" She offered cheerily. The girl had a half made crown of flowers in her hands, and some others that she had picked lying close next to her.Clay heard the shaky voice and went a little further down the slide to peer past the bend to see the snake child, "What do you want?" He said warily. He thought that he wanted to steal his slide, he was firm in standing his ground and not giving it up.Romeo finally noticed the other two kids were there when he heard his brothers voice snap at some one. He looked up from his toys and over to the white little snake that was looking up the slide. He scanned the area and noticed that there was also a girl by Deidre and two other adults. Enoh Love Emmet gave a surprised little hiss when the redheaded little boy suddenly appeared. Black eyes widened at the blunt words and his long tail twisted, curling defensively around himself as if he were ready to either curl into a ball or bolt at a moments notice. "Um...um..." The boy said quietly, trying to think of something to tell the other boy. "N-nothing...Its n-nothing...!" He decided on. Well he found the boy and wasn't that what he wanted to do in the first place? There! Curiousity satisfied! Mystery vanishing boy found! It was time to get out of there. Now.
With a forced laugh he slithered away from the slide, slowly at first and then faster.
At first he didn't look to where he stopped. All he knew was that he was away from the tunnel slide and the apparently territorial boy. His tail wrapped itself into a makeshift bed and he curled himself into a nervous little ball, his arms wrapped securily around his stomach as though it hurt. He shook there for a moment or two, waiting for his upset stomach to calm itself down. When it finally did, he slowly unravelled himself from his safe little ball, peeking out hesitantly to see where he was. Hopefully near Tryst...but he'd take Riley or Rysha if he had to.
Instead, he saw dark skin, a tuft black tail and toys. Satin Regret Tryst squatted down, or at least the reptilian equivalent, and leaned forward on her hands, peering curiously at the ring of flowers in Deidre's hands, and the flowers on the ground next to her. Looking back up at Dei, Tryst couldn't help but ask "How'd you do that?" Her eyes were full of wonder at the pretty crown resting in the other girls hands. She saw her brother hurriedly scurrying away from the slide, and she glanced over to see him sitting in front of the other boy. Maybe the one in the slide hadn't wanted to talk. Unaru Deidre giggled a little at the other girls amazement, "Like this." She said and weaved another flower onto the crown, "I can teach you if you want!" She offered with a smile and pushed some of the flowers next to her in front of her.Romeo was pretty surprised when the other boy slithered up in front of him and curled up before looking around again, "You okay?" He asked looking at the boy both curious and hopeful, "You look scared." He noted hoping the boy was alright. Clay was surprised when the kid suddenly took off. He wasn't disappointed though, he climbed his way back towards the top and peered his head out to watch the park.Marco looked over to the other parents, "Adorable children." He complimented them with a smile. He had a strange presence about him, it was very calming. Enoh Love Emmet's wide black eyes lifted to the boy's face when he spoke, his arms tightening around his stomach. "Y-yeah..." He stuttered out after a moment of silence, trying to figure out if this boy would be anything like the red-headed one from the slide. At least this boy looked a lot nicer...and sounded nicer, too. "...I feel sick..." Emmet informed the other boy, uncurling himself from his tight ball and recurling himself into a more casual ball, lying on his stomach over the folds of his tail. Despite looking more comfortable, he was ready to bolt if the situation called for it.
"I...uhh..." Red pupils moved, the only indication that he was looking the black haired boy over. "M'name's Emmet." He said slowly, cautiously...as if for some reason the boy wouldn't care and tell him so. He doubted it though, this boy looked like a nice one.
Riley's grey eyes moved towards the other man there, offering him a thin smile in return. Despite everything, he was eagerly watching Emmet and hoping to god that he found one other person that wouldn't send him running - slithering - in the other direction. Or that wouldn't make him throw up. "Hm." Was his agreeing noise. "Those other three are yours? They seem...cute." He finished lamely, having wanted so badly to end his sentence with 'normal'. Satin Regret Tryst watched in amazement, before nodding eagerly. "Yes, please!" She said, a faint hiss coming through her words. Her smile disappeared for a moment, before coming back again. "Oh yeah, my name is Tryst."She settled into a more comfortable position, curling around herself until she was essentially sitting on a small chair made of scales. "How do you do it?" Tryst asked again, having not quite seen what Deidre did before. Rysha looked over as the man spoke, and she grinned. "Thank you. They've been ours all of a few days." She said jokingly, before holding a hand out. "I'm Rysha. Stoneface is Riley." Rysha said, pointing at the military man with a teasing grin. He could definately be a sourpuss, the result being that she had no end of amusement making fun of him on occasion. Unaru "I'm Romeo." He said tilting his head a bit at the statement that the boy didn't feel good, "Want me to get your mommy or daddy for you? Feeling sick isn't very fun." He said with a frown reaching over and rubbing the other kids back in circular motions like Marco did for him when he wasn't feeling well. It seemed to help him so maybe it would help this boy. Deidre smiled as the other girl sat down across from her. She set her half made crown aside for a moment to start up a new one so that Tryst could learn how to do it from the very beginning. She began to instruct her and slowly do the steps herself as she explained them. "Yes, those three are mine, and thank you." Marco said with an airy laugh, "It's a pleasure to meet the both of you." He replied reaching out to shake the woman's hand as it was offered to him, "Marco Barlow."Enoh Love Riley cast a glare at Rysha when she introduced him, holding out his own hand when Rysha was finished. "Riley Grey. Nice to meet you." The military man was curious as to how he came across the three dark skinned children. He had his suspicions as to where the triplets may have come from, but when he looked at Marco, he couldn't figure out how this calm-feeling person could have possibly been blackmailed. So he was probably wrong...and he wasn't going to ask. Instead, his gaze went back to the kids, and his hands toyed with the Weedle plushie that Emmet had left behind.
"Romeo." Emmet repeated slowly, staring up at the other boy. He startled a bit when Romeo offered to get Riley for him, and he shook his head. "No, s'okay...It'll go away." A sheepish blush formed, one that was blatantly obvious on his chalky white skin. "T-thank you, though..." He said quietly, his fingers toying with the tip of his own tail...he was already feeling better. "Uh...Whattcha doin?" Changing the subject, Emmet's eyes tilted down towards the toys that Romeo had been playing with. His forked tongue flicked out from his lips, tasting and air around the toys to maybe get a better idea of what they were...he had never seen them before! Satin Regret Tryst watched as Deidre started another crown, picking up flowers and slowly following as the other girl explained the steps. It really wasn't that hard, once she got the hang of it. After a few minutes, she triumphantly held up a tattered looking flower crown, a big smile on her face. "Rysha, lookit what I made! Dei helped me make it!" She shouted towards the adults, waving the crown in the air. Rysha looked over when Tryst yelled, and couldn't help but grin. "You should make me one, Tryst." The woman said, raising her voice so the child could hear her. Turning back to Marco, she smiled again. "Nice to meet you, too."Unaru Romeo smiled at the boy when he said he'd be fine and asked him what he was doing, "I'm playing with my Batman toys, you wanna play too?" He offered holding up the Riddler for Emmet. He had a little map traced out in the wood chips, since he didn't really have anything to build Gotham with he had to use a map. Deidre smiled as Tryst finished her first crown. The little cow girl went about making a bracelet now, she thought about the two of them playing dress up with flower jewelry, it was a fun idea."It looks like the children are getting along well." Marco said noting Romeo actually coming out of his own world and noticing some one else and Dei having fun with Tryst.Enoh Love "Batman? Whats a Batman?" Emmet questioned, reaching out slowly to carefully take the toy that was offered to him, looking it over as if it were breakable. "Is this Batman? He doesn't look like a bat." His tongue flicked out at the green-dressed toy in his hands, still eyeing it curiously.
Riley's hand dropped back to himself, nodding lightly at the other man's words. "Looks like it...I didn't think Emmet would try again after his other attempt failed." The Military man was clearly in awe over the situation; he was so sure Emmet would either run away or puke...and he did neither. The little guy was braver than anyone gave him credit for.
But even then, Emmet was still a chicken to him. Scales and all. Satin Regret Smiling brightly as they made more, Tryst pushed herself up, the crown on her head and a flower bracelet in her hand. "C'mon, let's show my brother." Tryst giggled, deciding to give the flower bracelet to Emmet. Gently tugging on Deidre's hand, she pulled her towards their brothers, a proud smile on her face. "Emmy! Lookit what I made!""They're good kids. The boy is Emmet, and the girl is Tryst." Rysha said, having forgotten whether the childrens' names had been mentioned yet or not. Unaru "You don't know Batman?" Romeo asked obviously surprised, "No, that's The Riddler, one of the bad guys." He explained before holding up Batman, "This is Batman, the hero of Gotham City!" He said before going into a long explanation of the Batman series and obviously putting a lot of expression into the explanation. Batman was his favorite hero after all. "Alright." Deidre said, her new friend seemed to like her brother or so it seemed, she wondered why. Maybe this boy wasn't as mean as Clay or as weird as Romeo. She followed along as Tryst led her towards the boys.Marco laughed a little, "Sorry about that, Clay has a way of making other children feel uneasy. Romeo has a hard time making friends though, I'm glad to see the two getting along." He agreed with Riley.
He then turned to Rysha, "They seem it, the blond girl is Deidre, the black haired boy is Romeo, and the little red head holed up in the tunnel is Claydon." He said with his usual smile.Enoh Love Emmet stared at the cowlet with wide eyes. Was he SUPPOSED to know Batman? The only people he knew were Riley, Rysha and Tryst! But Batman must be a really cool guy to have his own action figure! The little Leucistic stared down at the toy in his hand as Romeo explained it to him, and then went on and explained all about Gotham and Batman and pretty much everything to do with the series. "Wow, thats cool! Are they books or movies? I'd like to see them." He said honestly, gazing down at the Riddler toy in his white hands.
When Tryst came over, Emmet was grinning. He looked over at her when she called him, and his red pupils shifted to focus on the flower crown on her head and the bracelet in her hand. "You made that, Mist? Thats pretty cool! Lookit this! Its the Riddler, he's a bad guy from Batman." He lifted the toy Romeo had lent to him, glancing over his shoulder at the other boy to make sure he was right. Shortly after that, his attention focused on the girl near his twin. "Hullo." He said shyly, pulling the toy closer to his body again. This girl was new; he'd seen her of course, and he only wished she wasn't like her red-headed brother.
Riley shifted his position a bit. "Its okay, it might be good for him." He said, mainly referring to the scare Claydon had given Emmet. Satin Regret "He's a bad guy?" She asked curiously, thinking of when she had met Cody and he was talking about the bad man. "Does he take peoples' eyes?" Tryst looked somewhat interested, unaware of how they might take her second question. Was that the person that hurt Cody? But at Emmet's question, she nodded eagerly. "Yuh huh! Here, you can have the bracelet one." She squatted down, sliding it carefully around Emmet's wrist, her black tongue sliding out of her mouth as she tried not to tear the fragile bracelet. Rysha raised an eyebrow at Riley, but didn't respond with anyone else beyond rolling her eyes skyward.

July, 2008 Tryst(Rysha), Alora Car-Nee-Val!
Satin Regret Another "family" outing. Hurrah. That was the first thought that ran through her mind, though it honestly wasn't quite true. There was a small carnival going on in Barton, in celebration of the "Rejected Olympics," Rysha assumed. She wasn't sure if Riley and Emmet were around anywhere, but she had decided to take Tryst out. Get some cotton candy, ride the ferris wheel, all that fun stuff. So the two were wandering around the large grass field outside of Barton, filled with tents and small rides. Tryst was riding on Rysha's back, her tail wrapped gently around the woman's waist, with a stick of pink cotton candy in her hand, being consumed quite readily. "You doing alright up there, sweet?" Rysha asked, grinning and turning her head to look at the girl. "Mmhm." Was the only audible sound, as Tryst was quickly discovering the sticky properties of cotton candy mixed with saliva. melodymh4 Alora herself had heard about the Olympics, when they were watching the news on television. Mereneth had immediately declared his support to Durem. She herself and Yourie preferred to just watch the results announced, neither of them taking a side. It was all supposed to be just fun and games, right? Besides, she didn't want to get into an argument with her brother if she chose to support another team.
After a while though, Yourie thought it might be fun to tease the pyro and said she was supporting Barton, who was currently in second place and constantly vying with Durem for the lead. Trying to make them stop arguing was no use, as usual, and the dove retreated outside.
She landed in the fields, a distance away from the pair. Flying was her main transport nowadays. Besides, it was rather relaxing to feel the wind blow through her hair, and it counted for practice as well. Mr Solon and Ligeia would be proud, she hoped. Satin Regret Rysha wasn't paying attention to much besides keeping one foot in front of the other without tipping over, due to the extra weight currently on her back. So Tryst was the one of the pair to notice a blonde haired girl flying above the fair, before lightly landing down nearby. Having finished her cotton candy, she started tugging on a lock of Rysha's hair. "Mamma, a girl just fell from the sky." She said, though she knew the girl could fly. That's just what she termed flying; falling from the sky. Rysha's brow furrowed when she heard Tryst's statement. "Fell? From the sky?" The first thing she thought of was a flyer, some random winged person which wasn't entirely uncommon. Rysha wasn't sure what had made Tryst point her out, though, since she had assuredly seen any number of animalistic children. melodymh4 It didn't take long for Alora to spot the pair either. One of her favorite things to do when she was out was to observe others, how they got along with their companions, their facial expressions, their gestures. She had been, for the past two occasions, drawn by the pretty scales Tyven and Drez had, despite her fear for snakes. Her experience had somewhat calmed her nerves.
Besides, this kid was rather cute, she had to admit. And was pale...white...just like her. Just like Emi. So plain, yet mesmerizing. The girl lifted a hand and waved, rather timidly at the snake girl. Satin Regret Tryst broke out in a smile, waving in return to the bird girl, before pointing ni her direction to Rysha. "Over there, Mamma." She turned Rysha's head in that direction; sometimes she just assumed her actions were fine like that. Laughing, Rysha pried Tryst's hands off her face to obligingly look in the pointed direction. She saw a pretty little winged girl watching them; yup, a flyer. She had red rings around her eyes, couldn't tell if they were a bruise or not, though. Advancing towards the other girl, Rysha gave her a friendly smile. "So, Tryst here thinks you 'fell from the sky?'" She asked, grinning though she knew it was just landing from a flight. melodymh4 She really was such a cute kid. The smile grew, lighting up the girl's face. She couldn't help but giggle as she watched the snake girl turn her mother's head towards her.
She missed her mother. Alora allowed herself to think of Melody and wonder how she was doing for a minute before smiling at the snake's parent.
"I fell?" The girl looked slightly surprised, and laughed, a melodious sweet one. "I was flying." That innocence reminded her somewhat of herself, when she was at that age. "So your name is Tryst? That's a pretty name." It reminded her of Tyven, the older snake girl. T names...Taren, the mole boy... She hadn't seen him in a long while.
"I'm Alora." She introduced herself. Satin Regret Tryst smiled, holding both hands out towards Alora, her arms brushing against Rysha's ears. "Nice t'meet'cha, 'Lora." She said, shortening the name to suit herself. Tapping Rysha's shoulder, she asked "Down now?", and she was obligingly let down onto the ground, sliding off Rysha's back. Curling her lower body under herself, she slithered foward slightly, tilting her head as she looked at Alora. "You're pretty." She said, all honesty as she smiled again, causing Rysha to grin. "Tryst is fairly friendly, as you can probably tell." The woman said, laughing softly while ruffling Tryst's pale hair. melodymh4 The bird girl smiled back in return. "It's nice to meet you too, Tryst." Quite a few people at home called her Lora, her brother, Yourie, their housekeeper, and...mother. She seemed to be reminded constantly of Melody, no matter how hard she tried not to think of it.
Mereneth didn't seem to care much, but she knew he worried as well. He had lost a mother, a guardian before, and she could see that he was afraid that it would happen again. The only thing they could do was to take care of each other.
"Thank you." A faint pinkish blush crossed her cheeks. "Your scales are pretty." She meant it as well. Satin Regret Tryst giggled, wrapping around behind Alora the end of her tail twisting gently around the dove's ankle. She peered around Alora's body to get a look at her wings. "So you can fly?" She asked, even though she had already seen her flying and landing quite well. "It must be cool to have wings." Tryst said, slithering back around to be in front of Alora, a smile still on her face. "And thank you." The snake girl said politely, unwrapping her tail from the dove's leg to curl it under herself. melodymh4 She fidgeted nervously as the scales brushed her skin. Apparently, she still was scared of snakes, despite meeting two...no, three, that were nice. It must have to do with her DNA. She thought. Maybe the next time she went back to D-Corp, she could ask a teacher. Or if she was brave enough to approach a tech...
"Mmhmm." She fluttered her wings slightly. "It is, rather. I had to practice a lot before I could fly properly though." Satin Regret "Who taught you?" Tryst asked in interest; she hadn't actually met any of the D-Corp teachers yet, so was fairly intrigued by them. Curling over herself again, she looked up at Rysha. "Can we get more cotton candy?" As she asked that, she turned to Alora with a childish smile. "Want to come with?" melodymh4 "Mr Solon." The girl told Tryst. Alora herself didn't know many teachers, and the flying teacher and the dragon teacher were the only ones she knew so far. "He's a nice man, and he's Ligegy's dad. Ligegy is an owl."
The dove couldn't help but smile back at the little girl. "Okay." Satin Regret Giggling, Tryst unwound herself, slithering back to Rysha with a smile. "Mamma, this is 'Lora. 'Lora, this is my mamma, but you can call her Ry-""Rysha." The brunette said, holding a hand out with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you. So will you be accompanying us around the carnival then?" She asked, an inviting grin on her face. melodymh4 "Hello Miss Rysha." The girl shook the woman's hand with a smile. Calling her by name seemed impolite, especially when she was older, and Tryst's mother as well.
"Alright then." She agreed. It wasn't as if she had anything to do. And she doubted that the fight would be over, and besides Yourie had always told her to go out and interact more with others. Maybe I should take her advice after all. Tricks of Chaos Tryst giggled, clapping her hands in excitement. "Yay! Can we go look at the games? The ones with the ring toss and stuff?" She asked both of them, tugging on the sleeve of Rysha's shirt. Laughing, Rysha crouched down, lifting Tryst up and into her arms. The girl's tail immediately wrapped around Rysha's waist, the end tip barely touching the ground as the woman stood back up again. "I don't care where, sweets. Alora, is there anything you want to see?" She asked the older girl. melodymh4 Alora watched Tryst, bemused. The last time she had played games was with Valens, and that had been when she was younger, wasn't it? She had always been on the sidelines when she watched her brother play games but always declined when offered to play.
She wouldn't turn down the little girl's request though. She hadn't the heart to.
"Okay." She agreed. "Anything's... fine with me, really." She shrugged. Satin Regret Tryst smiled brightly, her face lighting up. "Yay! That way ...I think?" She trailed off, looking around; she hadn't a clue where anything was around here, there were so many people walking around. Rysha held back a snort of laughter, bouncing the girl a little in her arms. "I'm sure we'll find it. Let's just wander around, how's that sound?"

July, 2008 Tryst, Cody AIM RP Thalion AIM RP between Satin Regret and ThalionCody: Cody kicked roughly at the dirt path, sending a few pebbles and chunks of dry earth up into the air ahead of him. He wasn't allowed to go to the gym without someone 'old enough'. Twelve was plenty old! He'd argue that until he was blue in the face but it didn't mean the employees there would let him in. If Paxton would stop being a sissy and take him, or Keanu for that matter.
He snorted around his nose ring and stretched his arms up over his head. Well the park would have to do. He always managed to find a way to get a workout replacement here.
Tex, his bronze dragonling, followed just behind him, yawning off the morning as best he could.
Tryst: Tryst was curled up on a blanket spread out under a tree, dozing in the warm sunlight. Her white scaley body was in convoluted twists, so if it wasn't for her torso and tail you wouldn't be able to tell where it started. Rysha was walking around with a friend of hers, some winged woman named Niko, but Tryst hadn't felt like going with them.
So, she stayed back and 'watched' their stuff. Watched being sleeping with her raichu plush buried in her arms. The sun was warm, and there was no one around to look at, so the little four year old had curled up in the nice warm sun.
Cody: The bull continued down the dirt path until he came to the actual play sets. He'd been scolded for being 'too rough' with the equiptment, then again- it wasn't his fault that they'd not let him in the gym. He took a short glance around, noting another child nearby. Another legless one- like Lae and Reese.
"Hmph." He jumped up and caught one of the monkey bars and began pulling himself up into the air until his chin touched the bar, he'd drop down and up again. His hooves crossed under him to keep them suspended from the ground.
Tex yawned and laid himself in the grass. It was routene, now and then Cody would drag him into his workouts, might as well rest up beforehand.
Tryst: Tryst shifted on the blanket, hearing someone nearby. Shaking her head, causing her hair to fall in a pale curtain over her eyes, she opened them slowly, the sunlight being blocked by her hair, as she looked over at where the sounds were coming from.
A boy was on the monkeybars, doing pullups while a small dragon was lying in the grass nearby. Tilting her head, she watched them for a moment, her light blue eyes full of curiosity. Uncurling from herself, Tryst slithered in their direction, lower body pushing herself silently through the grass towards them.
She wasn't exactly sure what she'd say to the boy, so she stopped near the dragon, bending down in her version of a squat, were she to have legs. "Hullo there."
Cody: Cody glanced over. A single chocolate eye falling on the pale figure. The other eye- or rather the lack there of- lay hidden under a black eyepatch sporting a red bullseye. Perhaps for irony.
He dropped down to his hooves and tipped the lip of his hat a bit, "Howdy ma'am. I didn't wake ya up now did I?"
So the snake thing was another female, at least that was a bit of a relieaf. He'd spent hours with Reese teaching him how to use his arms in place of arms. The limp noodle.
Tryst: Tryst looked up as the boy hopped down, tilting his hat to her and addressing her. "Ma'am?" She asked, her voice soft as she watched him. A small smile pulled the corners of her lips as she giggled.
"You didn't wake me up." Now that she saw him up close, he looked kind've like a cow. Not a milk cow, though. Definitely not. And he had something covering his eye...
She tilted her head up to look at him, and pointed a finger at the eye patch. "What's that?"
Cody: "Ma'am's the right way tah address a lady. 's a complement." He offered. Then again, she was pretty young. Didn't hurt to be polite to the little ones either. He flicked his tail a bit and tipped his head. Maybe he'd introduce her to Lae sometime, they'd make good buds.
"Ah good tah hear, I tend tah be a bit loud when I get intah th' swing of a good workout." He flexted one of his arms a bit and smirked, If only he could get rid of the gut! It wasn't fair.
The second question earned another smirk from the boy. "s' an eyepatch. I lost mah eye fightin' with some jerks that done come in an' stirred up some trouble with th' corp. Took out the boss man, or tried to. I'mma mess 'em up good next I see 'em."
Tryst: The smile broadened, and she half bobbed, a reptilian attempt at a curtsy. Though Tryst wobbled a little with the motion, she smiled anyways. "Thank you." She said politely. He was funny, and he spoke oddly, but he seemed nice enough.
"What's a workout?" Tryst asked, folding her hands behind her back while watching him flex. Something on his arm tensed when he moved it, and it caught her attention. Leaning forward, she poked his arm. "Do it again?" She looked up at him, interest in her eyes.
His statement about the lost eye, though, made her eyes widen and the smile fade. "Really? Did it hurt?" Seeing someone hurt made her sad, whether or not it was someone she had just met. She raised herself on her tail so she was on eye level with the older boy. "Mess 'em up?" So many terms she was unaware of, but she liked listening to people talk.
Cody: "Workin' out's gettin' yer body in shape. Lets ya run faster, punch harder, an' ya can take more punishment when ya gotta get intah a scrape." He grinned and flexed his arm again, this time holding it out for her to inspect, "Nice guns right? Been workin' mah tail off."
He shook his head at the second question. "Naw. I went out when it happened. When I came 'round th' healers had already gone an' taken care of it fer me. More annoyin' than anythin'. I gotta figure out a way tah get mah aim back. Shootin' cans off a fence is gettin' a bit tricky."
He blinked, "Yeah...Mess 'em up. Ya know, rough 'em up, beat in their teeth? Get 'em back?"
Tryst: She watched the muscles of his bicep with interest, pinching it and feeling the tensed muscle. "Should I work out?" Tryst asked, blue eyes wide; she and Emmet would occasionally wrestle, but they were never rough with each other. She had at least some strength in her lower body, since she gave Rysha a deadleg from wrapping her leg. She wans't too happy about that once Tryst let go...
Giggling at the memory, she listened to him talk about his eye. "Can't the labbies fix it?" Tryst asked, curious. If they could mix kids and animals, it seemed like it'd be a small matter to fix an eye.
Tryst made a face as he described 'mess 'em up.' "Like this?" She punched one hand into the palm of the other, looking back up at him. "But hitting them?"
Cody: "Ya can if ya want. Nothin' wrong with a strong lady. I've taught plenty o' leggless peoples how tah get yer upper body all nice an' toned." He nodded over to the slide, "Ya gotta use only yer arms tah pull yerself tah th' top. S' good fer ya. Th' more ya do it, th' stronger ya get an' th' easier things start tah get. Simple as that." His chest swelled up as she felt at his arm. He'd never had anyone actually listen to his...well bullshit.
"Labs? Nah...th' eye's too complicated er somethin'. I'll figure somethin' out. Thought about puttin' one of them lazer pointin' thingies in mah eye patch so's I can get mah aim back. Jus' gotta shoot where I see a dot. Saw it on TV once."
Cody nodded and swung around to punch at the air, "Gonna mess 'em up good. Punch 'his teeth out an' make 'em pick 'em up with broken fingers an' busted in knee caps. 'e shot mah buds, Keanu an' Paxton...." He paused, or did Paxton just get knocked aside? It was kind of scrambled in his mind still. "Somethin' like that."
Tryst: Tryst looked over towards the slide when he pointed it out, and looked at it in interest. "And that'll make my arms tough?" She asked, turning back to him. She didn't want arms as big as his, but it'd be cool to at least have some muscle.
She could sort of understand how replacing an eye might be difficult, but the snake girl still thought they should try. Shrugging to herself, she wasn't a lab, so she decided to forget about it, since he obviously was okay with it. "What's your name?" Tryst asked belatedly; she was having fun talking to him, and completely forgot to ask.
Tryst wasn't sure who Keanu and Paxton were, so she just guessed they were more lab kids. Instead of saying anything, she grabbed onto one of the bars on the junglegym, sliding her body inbetween and carefully winding up to the top of the bars, her lower body wound through to the ground as she looked down at him and grinned.
Cody: "Yup. Jus' gotta work at it, don't give up. It hurts fer a bit, an' ye'll be sore th' next day, but that's when you gotta work through it." He flicked an ear and glanced down to his arms, "S' called 'th burn' or somethin' like that... th' tv workout guys say it lots."
"Ah, fergot tah introduce m'self." He tipped his hat again, "Name's Cody Tayburd. An' I'm gonna be one of th' three toughest kids here at D-corp." He put his hands on his hips and looked down at the little snake girl, "Keanu an' Paxton are gonna be th' other two. We're gonna be heros."
The little display sent his arms back to his sides. Well that was one way to do it. "Huh. Ain't never seen no one do that a'fore. Guess ya can use yer uh...tail bettern' most then."
Tryst: She giggled, grinning down at him still. Leaning over the bar, she wove through another so her torso was upside down, her hair falling in a white curtain as she smiled cheerfully. "I'm Tryst. I haven't got a last name, though." She said, sticking a hand out; Rysha said it was polite to shake hands when you met someone. "Nice t'meet'cha, Mr. Tough Kid."
Tryst laughed again, wiggling the end of her tail. "Why did the other kid need a wheel chair?" She asked; she hadn't seen one, but she assumed it was the same as it's name, a chair with wheels.
Cody: "Well thank ya kindly, ya can jus' go ahead an' call me 'Cody'." He folded his arms over his chest and watched her little antics. It would have been nice to move like that on the monkey bars- then again he was quite attatched to his legs. She could never learn to kick, run, or ride anything.
"Well they didn't move their tails same as ya can. I guess they's some kinda water horse thin'. They got 'em on th' animal channel. Funky things."
Tryst: "A seahorse, mebbe?" She offered; she had watched a little TV when at the lab still, so knew a limited amount. Rysha's television was one that definitely left something to be desired, though there might be a new one after they moved in with Riley an Emmet.
That thought made a smile come to her face, lighting up her eyes. "Do you have brothers or sisters, Cody?" Tryst asked, the faintest of hisses coming through her words as she spoke.
Cody: "Somethin' like that. Harder body'n ya. Harder tah move I 'pose... th' tail's got a good grip right at th' end though." He leaned against one of the supports and started rolling one of his shoulders around to loosen it up a bit.
"Eh? Yeah I got two brothers... got Edan and Amir. Both're sissies. I can take 'em."
Tryst: When he agreed with her, she decided she was glad she was a python. She'd hate to be stuck in a wheelchair, that'd be the epitomy of suckage... Ignoring the fact that some would say being part animal in general would be bad, but it wasn't, really. Tryst liked it at least, though she wouldn't know how to compare it to being normal.
"I've got a twin brother, I call him Emmy. We're gonna be living together soon." She said gleefully, clapping her hands in front of her. Still upside down as well, but not seeming to have any issues with it.
Cody: "S' not as great as they make it seem on tv an' on th' radio ya know. They're a pain. Edan's always bossin' me around, tellin' me tah do this n' that, pick up mah room, make sure tah do th' dishes. A pain th' lot of it...and Amir's a pink fluffy.............thing. I go tah try an hit 'em and I get shocked."
He shook his head, "Messed up I'm tellin' ya. Better off by yerself."
Tryst: She shrugged slightly, deciding not to argue the point. Some siblings argue alot, others don't. Tryst and Emmet were some of those that didn't. "Me an' Emmy get along real well, and we didn't wanna be sep-sep...sep-rated." She stumbled on the difficult word, but smiled when she felt she managed it. "That's why mamma an' Riley are moving together, so me an' Emmy can be close."
"Wouldn't you be lonely by yourself, though?" Tryst asked curiously, watching him while pushing herself through the bars so she was in an upright and sitting position now.
Cody: "S' all good if das what yer intah. Mah cousin tried bunkin' up with us... she got all clingy, not my thing." He tipped his hat back and rested his arms behind his neck.
Lonely? Not really. He didn't mind the solitude. Sure he got aggrivated if he couldn't hang out with Keanu and Paxton now and then...but that was different. "Naw, I don't get lonely. I got Tex over there." He pointed to the napping dragon. "'e's plenty o' company fer me. If 'e's not up fer bein' social I jus' go work out or somethin'."
Tryst: "I'd get real lonely if I didn't have Emmet around." She said solemnly. When they had been given over to Rysha and Riley, she was frightened that they'd be seperated, and that was painful to think about. It was working out now, but still, there had been that small chance.
Tryst giggled, watching the dragon spralwed out on the grass. "You work out alot, huh?" She asked, looking back at Cody. "What kinda dragon is he?" Tryst knew she'd be getting a dragon too, eventually, but she was still curious about them. She hadn't seen too many of the hatched dragons, only the eggs on occasion before they were assigned to kids.
Cody: Cody glanced over towards the dragon, "He's the best kind there is! A copper dragon." he pushed away from the support and walked himself over. Tex rumbled and lifted his head up a bit. Tryst would note that both the dragon and the bull had a golden ring falling from their nostrils.
"An' Keanu's got a silver, Paxton a gold. Like I said- we're the three best. Gold silver an' copper." Ignore that it was supposed to be bronze- maybe she didn't know that.
Tryst: Tryst laughed, clapping her hands again. She didn't know the difference between copper and bronze, so didn't comment on that. Instead, she mused aloud. "I wonder what kinda dragon I'm gonna get..."
She leaned forward with her hands resting on the part of her tail crooked around the bar, what would equal her knees. "I wanna meet Keenu and Paxtin now." Tryst said, smiling cheerfully.
Cody: "When ya get one, come on over an' show me, er...tell me. Whatever works." He shrugged, "There's been some trouble with some of th' dragons I hear, or there was. Dunno if they got it resolved." He snorted. Too bad, he didn't get to see any of that action either.
"Eh? Keanu and Paxton. TON." He chuckled, "Y'ell meet 'em eventually. Good guys them. Real good. Do anythin' fer a friend."
