An infected has been killed.. killed not dispersed and become and undying but gone. Anya was excited for this news... except people said there was a secret weapon... And that meant they were going to go fight for it! Not good. We've just have to survive and not kill each other and make more infected (potentially) she thought as she played with her knife's handle.
It was luckily in Zone 1 and not here... except zone 1 was where the bandits were. Doubly bad! She was heading over to see if she could help.. she didn't want to but she was tired of sitting back and hiding. She was regretting that decision badly when she saw the crowd and the snipers waiting...
She saw the first shot and tried to backpedal.. but the crowd was now around her and she had nowhere to go when the grenades were launched. All she could do was try and duck and not die. The explosion knocked her to the ground, her jaw hitting the asphalt. Pain flared all over her face, and she screamed. Though not too much casue screaming just made more pain occur…. It’s broken, or badly hurt, she thought. Please don’t be broken…. We don’t have enough medical equipment to help! She sat up, not wanting to be trampled if things turned bad. The man in front of her dies, splattering her face with blood as the bullet passed over her shoulder. Anya was stunned for a second but crawled forward to check on him…. He was gone. No amount of bandage was going to help him.. not with a bullet through his lung.
She had to hurry and run, the infected and undying had come… they’d come because of the noise. She hurriedly hid behind some fallen trashcans, waiting until the gun fire died down. A sudden shrill scream caused silence to descend… She peeked above the trashcans and saw the undying drift away…. Weird… but the infected staid and were eventually killed as they fruitlessly threw themselves at the bandit’s defenses.
She waits until things are talked over, sitting and trying to see how badly hurt her jaw is… it’s bad. Her entire right side of the face feels like it is on fire and she can barely talk, plus her tongue feels swollen… At least its not like I’m missing out on gourmet food, she thought with bitter amusement.
She didn’t like what she heard after the leaders returned. It was now behave nicely with the other kids but stab em in the back to get us an advantage. Not good… not good at all…..

5. Cracked ribs. Difficulty breathing. No sudden movement. Must take breaks to catch breath.
What king of name was Harbingers. Seriously now. Did they think they were from some kind of anime or something? Ugh. Vera nearly sighed to herself at the very thought. Maybe now was not the time to be questioning the legitimacy of something after the hellish month everyone had had to experience so far; hopefully an end came soon.
Vera wasn't unfit, but a month of being contained to a poorly maintained mall with few options in the way of food didn't really help with her usual workout routine. And she was pretty sure that just because you went out for a daily jog and visited the gym a lot didn't mean you were prepping for a battlefield. It became clear how unprepared she was when a grenade sent her flying, slamming her into a nearby wall. She gasped for air and then immediately cried out with pain when she did so, rolling onto her back with a hand hovering just over her ribs. She could't bring herself to touch them. She already knew what the problem was, she'd done this before by accident. She'd never had a grenade thrown at her.
It felt like it took forever to get up, each movement of her torso was a fiery shock of pain to her system. This was going to be one hell of a day..
