Dayanara was getting bored, she had not received anything good from the last few houses and was beginning to tire of this. Coming up to the next place to trick or treat, she decided to try once more. Running up without waiting for her group, she knocked and heard a dry cough from inside and a wheezy voice said "Go away" with that she turned and left. Nothing again for her.
His group was slowing down, the night was getting long and some of the freshlings needed something else to do. Knocking on doors and waiting for a trick or treat was getting to be boring, no good games or such at the last several houses.
Coming to a brighly lit house, with all kinds of blow up decorations littering the yard, there was what appeared to be a small maze set up. It looked like fun, of course the group all wanted to go. Paired up in a group of two and three they began to go through the maze, Dayeon was paired with a Blue Imp freshling who seemed to stumble as she went through. It was tough going but eventually they made their way through. At the end was a 3 different exits, each one gave something as a prize. Dayeon nodded and went through the one on the left while the Imp chose the one on the right. Coming out he saw a small table with treats! Giving a small Whoo he chose his candy and went off to await the rest of the group.
Pepper saw Kanda getting a small statuette at the last house and was surprised because she hadn't seen any of them. Now she was sad that she hadn't looked around well enough to spot one. "Trick or Treat," she greeted the older couple at the door. They were dressed as skeletons, and pulled out a small, wiggling, cream colored vespercat statue. Beaming, she thanked them and gently put it in her bag. If there was more than one, she'd love to get them. They would be great for her fish to fly around. Treats, Familiars & Plushies: 2

Hikito got a shareable size bag of eyeballs. He clenched it to his chest, doing a fist pump with his other hand. Candy, candy at last! The good stuff too! He could just tell. They might have been jawbreakers or gummy eyes, but he wasn't going to check until later. That way it would be a pleasant surprise. Now he just needed a few more stops like this one and he could feel free to start pulling his tricks on people.

Kanda somehow managed to work her way to the end of the group. Sadly, the grimm in front of her snatched the last treat from the house. Though he didn't seem happy about it. His tail was practically flying. Since she wasn't sure she really wanted to interact with him, she held back a bit so he could get further ahead. Not that she thought he would do anything, but. . . Red had gotten nothing but sucky stuff from this neighborhood.Pencils, broken crystal balls, broken eyeballs, and now some sort of toothbrush?! It was like this street had never celebrated Hallow's Eve before. "We should go to a different street!" he loudly proclaimed as soon as he caught up with the main hunk of the group. "This one sucks!" The words were said through a snarl. The poor caretaker who was in charge of them was quick to try and calm him, but Red refused to believe that every house would be this bad. It must be the entire street. And he knew, he knew that not everyone had gotten stuff like him. In fact, almost nobody else had gotten as much bad items from the houses. Trystine was a bit surprised to finally get their first piece of candy. It was a cute little bat that was almost too adorable to eat... almost. What was Hallow's End without sweets?
Miele was still trying to decide if it'd creep her out more to keep the doll or to set it somewhere and walk away... only to find it later. She didn't know why she was being so scared about that possibility, it was only a doll, wasn't it? She tilted her head and nearly jumped when she saw a plushie on the ground near her. Was it as creepy as the doll?
Aster had gotten a pretty little lantern from the last house. He held it up and noticed how bright the glow was when he thought he saw movement. He jumped a little until he realized that an aetherjelly had been following him!
She was getting tired and starting to drag a bit as she went from house to house. Rosline fought a yawn and blinked big eyes up at the person who answered the door, sort of drifting. No, No, she could do a few more house, yes, she could! She would show them all. She was a big girl and can last the night of trick or treating.
Though her bag was getting really heavy now. She yawned widely, following the group down the porch and not hearing the talks of the chaperons above her. Next house, next house. Keep going.
Jamie yawned slightly into his arm and blinked up at the couple that answered the door. Mmh. It was getting so very late out. Ooh, was that plushie for him? It was black and white jelly, sort of like the one hanging around with him. He reached out and took it, squishing it tightly and gave a giggle as it squished nicely. Mmh, it was so very nice. Comforting.
He chirped out thank you and followed along with his group, slowly wrapping up the tendrils in his fingers so they didn’t drag. Jellyfish, jellyfish! He had a jellyfish and it was his squish.
The way that the cute girl thanked him for the stolen goodie made him grin. His mother often referred to him as her 'Little Dark Gypsy Prince', but he liked how the word sounded from Eli much better. Exet grinned even more as Eli walked backwards in front of him, while talking. She certainly was one of those who could 'walk, talk, and chew gum' at the same time sorts. When she asked him to go to the haunted house with her, Exet couldn't have been more excited. " Of course I'll go with you. Can't let you go alone, now can I?"
Waiting for his words, even though a small pause was all it took, was like torment. She felt so shy around him all of a sudden, but that only made her hold his hand tighter as if to make sure that she wouldn't float away. At his suggestion, she gave a soft smile and nodded to him. "Okay," she managed to squeak out, before slipping her paw from his hand, linking her arm in his to lean against him. She wasn't sure she could hold herself up anymore!

Cleo had survived her first trick-or-treating encounter and, upon reflection, had done well. She hadn't heard of other freshlings receiving plushies, so she couldn't help but stare at it sitting in her bag as she walked to the next house over. Perhaps this evening wouldn't be so bad? Emboldened, she knocked a little louder on the door."Trick or treat?"She intoned, relatively quietly, but at least she managed to say it this time. The man at the door looked down at her with a smile, placing a bag of lollies in her sack. "Going it alone, dear? Maybe I should give you some more then, so you-" He was cut off by a small torti that crawled between his legs, heading towards Cleo. She almost flinched away, but she had never seen such a creature before. She watched it with mild suspicion as it rubbed against her leg affectionately. "Wow, he's really taken to you! He doesn't even do that to me. You know, I was trying to find a home for him..." He trailed off, smiling conspiratorially at Cleo. Gesturing to herself, she raised her eyebrows in shock. Well, she could certainly use a specimen to study their behaviour. Nodding happily, she bent down to stroke the familiar delicately on the head. "Now you have someone to trick or treat with!" The man exclaimed happily as he closed the door.

Connor was still somewhat confused by the statue she'd been given, and a few of her followers started asking pestering questions about it as they headed to the next house."Man, I don't know! It's just some creepy toy,"She answered, hoping that would be the end of it. Sure, the thing was pretty cool, but she was here for candy!"Trick or treat!"She almost yelled as the next door was opened. Their knock was answered by someone... curious. They seemed to cackle as they pulled a random assortment of items out of a nearby draw and placing them in the gang's sacks. Connor couldn't help but visibly pull away as a creepy doll was placed into hers. Before she could even ask what they were thinking, the person behind the door had disappeared. Shaking her head, Connor turned around angrily. Didn't any of these people just buy candy anymore?
Zeerah had asked his twin to go ahead so he could 'take care of some business', and Xero saw little point in arguing with him about it. Of course he could perform this childish ritual alone, he merely did not wish to do so. It all seemed rather pointless to him, but he'd noticed some children return with odd trinkets and, occasionally, familiars. These sounded like things he could experiment on; no doubt he would end up simply giving any candy he received to his brother. Knocking confidently on the door just once, Xero looked up at the enthusiastic teenager who answered the door."Trick. Or. Treat."He intoned every word individually, and the teenager seemed sufficiently impressed with his creepiness despite a lack of costume. She placed in his plain bag a small statue. Were the tails moving? Yes, that could be interesting to observe later. Remembering Zeerah, he pointed to his brother who was still at the first house."That is my twin. I need another item."He stated. The teenager leaned out of the door to watch Zeerah, yes, egg the house. Very mature. Xero was confident he would be rebuked, but instead the teenager just laughed. "Yeah, I used to do that too. Toothbrushes?" She asked with a wink. Xero nodded, ever-so-slightly. With a laugh, the girl placed another statue in his bag. "Just don't send him after me, k?" She requested with a laugh as she closed the door. Xero stared at it for a moment, before hearing his twin approaching."Ha! No more toothbrushes from that guy. Oh hey, what we get? Toys?"Zeerah seemed mildly displeased at the lack of candy, but to Xero's small relief didn't suggest egging the house.
Essurio seemed far more confident and at ease since she received the special toy. She still stayed at the back of the group, but she had begun chatting with the teacher who was escorting them. Stopping as they arrived at the next house, this time she spoke far more enthusiastically."Trick or treat!"She said excitedly, eager to see what she'd receive this time. Her smile quickly turned to a look of horror, however, when she was what was being handed around. Creepy zombie hands, bloody fangs, witch fingers and other disturbing items. Essurio squealed lightly when she saw the cracked eyeball that was put into her bag. The group of freshlings were quickly hurried away, but Essurio heard the teacher scolding the laughing junior at the door. Maybe every house wouldn't be as nice as the first one...
Sabera didn't understand why the other freshlings seemed disappointed in what they had received. Surely dental hygiene was essential after a night of consuming sugary products, so such a house was the most considerate of all? He was still considering this as they arrived at the next house."Trick or treat?"This one seemed to meet the standards of his fellow trick-or-treaters as an abundance of candy was handed around. There were even small trinkets here and there; the teacher made certain that Sabera received one, seeing as he was one of the few that didn't complain at the last house. Sabera observed the singing bracelet with curiosity. How was this more satisfying than something as practical as a toothbrush? He shrugged to himself as he slipped it around a wrist. No accounting for taste, it would seem.
