It's that time of year again - let's go door-to-door in the neighborhood and steal candy from strangers! No Freshling will be without a sugar crash tonight, as they are allowed to earn and eat as much as they'd like. However, not every door gives out scrumptious delectables - some people are mean and bitter (or think they're clever), and give out lousy tricks. What will happen to you this year?
After last year's disaster, the Freshlings are being taken special care of. Each group of five or so Freshlings is closely monitored by an adult to ensure that they don't wander off into a dangerous situation, and each chaperone has a magical walkie-talkie on them in case of danger. You can trust your Freshling will be snug and safe and have a face full of chocolate when you put them in the hands of the Academy's trick-or-treat brigade!
How to play:
This is a Freshling-only ORP! ONLY FRESHLINGS ALLOWED! Looking for somewhere to roleplay your Junior or Senior? A thread is coming soon! Every day you are allowed to roll for each of your Nightmares to receive treats or tricks! You also can end up with a familiar, if you're lucky. However, you must RP your character receiving their prize, or doing something in the festival when you roll. It's suggested that while you can roll for every Nightmare you have, you only roll for the amount of responses you can handle! You can keep rolls in one post, or in individual posts. Roll a 20-sided die per Nightmare you're including in the ORP! See the guide below to determine what you'll earn. Rolling a treat not only gets your Nightmare a candy/trinket, but also a point! The three people with the most points (the most won treats) will be able to take a Nightmare home with them (which are pictured above). However, only three of your rolls a day can equal your treat tally. If you roll six Nightmare's and five win treats, only three of those will be tallied. Please keep a list at the bottom of your posts for us to easily manage how many treats you have! Failure to do so will mean you aren't included for the chance to win one of the three Nightmares. Do not delete posts. We will disqualify you from the chance to win the Nightmares if you do! If you mess up on a roll or forget to roll, please just note that in your post and make a new one (or however many you need until you roll correctly). You may RP quests! Rolling Guide: If you roll a number that ends in 2, 4, or 6, you get a Treat! If you roll a number that ends in 3, 5, or 7 you get a Trick! If you roll a number that ends in 8 you may get a Trick and a plushie. If you roll a number that ends in 9 you may get a Trick and a familiar. If you roll a number that ends in 0 you may get a Treat and a familiar. Any number that ends in 1 results in no prize.
New Tricks and Treats may be periodically added throughout the month, so be sure to keep an eye out!

Lau looked at her reflection in the mirror. She thought her sheets with cut out holes for her eyes was very clever. She hurried and got ready to walk with the group of freshling. Her friend Eight and ignatius was joining her group. Someone knocked on her door and she ran over to the door. Before her parents made it to the door to open it lau had the door open and the group leader was smiling. Lau hugged her parents headed out to the first house. -The group arrived to the first house and lau was so excited to get candy that she run and pushed people out of the way. The lady that was handing out the candy seen how rude and impatient lau was. So as soon as lau arrived up to her the lady smiled “ Well i am out of candy and i would ask if you could wait but seeing how impatient you are i have something special.” The lady reached in her bag a grabbed a notebook and out it in lau bag. Lau was sad and walked away.
Ignatius was sitting still while his mother put lips and eyeshadow on him. Ignatius decided that he wanted to be a mermaid fairy for trick or treating. The doorbell rang and Ignatius mother went and answered the door. His mothe called him to the door and in the door way he seen Lau and the group leader. Lau started waving under her sheet and Ignatius waved back. Then they headed off to to the next house. — After seeing what Lau recived Ignatius felt he was going to be disappointed. The lady smiled and seen his face. “ Dont be scared little one. You costume is beautiful. “ she grabbed something out of her bag and putbit in his bag. Ignatius looked in his bag and it was a little toy. He smiled and thanked the lady and head back to the group. On his way back he seen something shinning in the lady bush. Ignatius looked around to see if anyone else seen it but no one noticed. Ignatius walked over to where it was shinning and it was a Torti. The Torti smiled at Ignatius and it started following him.
Eight was so excited she thought her outfit was very clever, she dressed up as a DNA molecule. Her Parents tried to convince to go with a witch or something else besides that, but her other was H2o molecule. When she her costume was done Eight and her mother sat outside on their porch swing. Then Eight heard her name and it was Lau waving under her sheet walking up to her house. Eight huged her mother and ran over to the group. She greating everyone and they set off. —�- Eight loved her treat she thank the lady so much. She loved the little fake wisp. Eight walked back to her group showing her friends. As they started to walk to the next house Eight noticed her lamp was brighter, so she looked down at it and noticed a bright light was flying around her lamp. She jumped with surprise it was a real wisp. It looked just like the one in her lamp.
Jamie was excited to go out and get candy and also a bit nervous. He was smartly dressed in a little sailor uniformed, with a white and blue cap on his head. He had a canvas tote bag in white and blue stripes for his goodies. He joined the group of freshlings, with their caretaker and headed up to the first house. "Trick or Treat!"
He managed to keep a straight face when someone dropped a toothbrush into his bag, eww. That wasn't candy! His nose did wrinkle when he was heading off the porch and nearly tripped on something small and shiny. Ow!
Jamie looked down and frowned at the pretty rock! Ooh! Ooh it moved. Why was it moving? He hunkered down and lifted the small hand size moving rock up. Ooh, it was a turtle? maybe? But covered with crystals. It was pretty.
Loki moved around, her friends running off around her with joy and delight on their faces, she scoffed and sighed they almost all got treats and tricks, but the house ran out of candy just as she and Karasu got to the door. "drat" she started stomping her little feet on the ground, she was happy. But she had the whole festival to try and get something. But to help the issue of all her friends getting more or less candy than one another, she suggested they go in groups with one another.

Kahula watched as her friend threw a fit and began to talk to the others, she paid her no mind having been used to Loki's attitude as she was like that to an extent, but she was sure she could talk her father into getting more for her. she looked in her bag for her first treat of the day and inside she found a pretty lantern. it was definitely something she adored, she stuck her tongue out her brother Karasu in a mocking way, after doing this she carried her pail and lantern in hand to light the way
______________________________ Sheo pranced about happily after coming from the house with a delightful treat Like Kahula she got a lantern! it was super adorable and one of her favorite colors. she danced around as a trail of light followed the path of the lantern. she heard Loki talking about going in 2 different groups, this caused her to stop in her path and ponder this, who would she go with? she thought. she held up a lantern and said " maybe whomever else has a lantern we can split into 3 one orange, one purple, and one green!" she suggested, the others agreed as they all began to check for who had the other lantern and who didn't.
______________________________ Chon's listened to the other kids as he held his brother, Badru's hand, their mother not far behind. " momma will you check my bag?" she asked as she took his bag and began to check it, she explained to him his treats he had received inside his bag was a vespercat statue, when Chons herd this he squealed he was overjoyed, which caused his brother to open his eyes in shock " I want more, I hope I can find more!" he said he couldn't contain how happy he was dragging his brother along to chooses a group to be with. Before he could even check his bag.

Karasu rolled his eyes as his sister teased him with the fact he got nothing, but he knew he would get something eventually, so he chose the orange group as they split into teams, despite it being his spoiled sister team, he was a little protective over his sibling. ______________________________
Willow joined the green team seeing as she loved green, it reminded her of her father and the lush plants she grew at home. While waiting in the line for the group she checked her bag, Inside she found a not so sweet treat despite it not being what she thought it might be she pulled out a Turnip it looks like someone sticking to the traditional methods of jak-o-lanterns, no pumpkins just a jak-o-turnip but it did have a cute face.

Cane looked in his bag as he joined the orange team inside he found a cute bracelet with pumpkins on it but was suddenly startled by something; it was a torti, Cane had never seen the fami before so seeing it for the first time was quite startling. but after getting uses to its appearance he became attached and picked it up carrying it around belly to belly as he waddled around.
______________________________ Badru swayed his tail and opened one eye. with his blind brother distracted with his feline trinket he had time to check his own bag, he searched it and looked grabbed for his trick and or treat, well it definitely wasn't a treat but, he approved. it was a cute bad pencil.
[/spoier] ______________________________ Cinnamon was very pleased, though also upset she couldn't be a leader, at least she could join kahula's team she did like orange the neko smiled and happily swayed her tail adjusting her sweater to make sure no cold seeped in. putting her pail down after pulling out what was inside, she greedily opened the bag of sweets, luckily she didn't have to share with no one" yummy candy eyes!" she exclaimed, chons and cane looking at her odd as she said that, but that didn't stop cane and chons looking at one another as they laughed in amusement.
______________________________ xandra wondered around unsure which team to join at first, but then she considered how uneven the teams were" maybe just two but the other can be our gathering spot," she said aloud in thought " I don't have any lantern so, I think Kasumi has it" she said as every one of the freshlings took that to note and all agreed, because they knew Kasumi wouldn't bother to trick and treat much. after that Xandra checked her bag. inside was a pumpkin Pencil
______________________________ kasumi glared at xandra and shook his head" i want to trick and treat... kind of" they had a point but that didnt stop the hybrid from being exsited to check their bag inside defnetly was a lanter, but he didnt complain, it was purple like his motheres makeup. he was content and enjoyed the color purple. but after checking he tried to pick up his pail, it was a bit hevey, looking inside reviled a white torti, witch delighted the little hybrid.

Bailey looked over the other Freshlings in his grouping, He had put on his little chef hat and apron and gone trick or Treating as a cook, He was feeling a little insecure when he looked at the others who seemed to have rather splendid costumes!
He knocked on the first door holding his little collection tub expectantly, to receive... Nothing.
Clearly the Nightmare who lived behind this door had chosen not to be there today! 1 - FAIL.
Alula was feeling confident in her costume! She had borrowed a clown costume from her parent Arcadia's circus! She was dolled up to the Nines, and she was 100% pulling it off! Alula was super excited about this event, the first she'd ever been too - She sidled up to her group and honked her red nose with a big grin on her face!
She held her bag open at the First door, the nightmare opened it and Alula Jumped up in her clown costume - Making the nightmare drop the bag of treats they were holding! Alula received a Cracked crystal ball... 3 - TRICK
Clove 3: Clove was looking forward to seeing if his friends were out and about, this was one of his favorite holidays not only to see friends but you got nifty treats as well. Though Clove knew he should wait, to see if he could find his friends, he was way too excited to wait, he walked up to one of the many houses and knocked on the door, he waited patiently, and when the door opened he smiled up at them, and said trick or treat, holding his bag open. Clove waited till he had said thank you, and walked away before he looked down, he pulled the item out and laughed.
Corey 9: Corey had gone out to enjoy the festivities, last time they were taken out, and though they didn't want to at first, they really enjoyed it, this time they were going out on their own terms, not being dragged out. Like most kids, Corey walked up to the door of one of the houses and knocked, when the adult had dropped the item in their bag he walked away.
Corey walked to the next house but heard something behind them, as they looked they saw a Torti looking at them, they looked around and saw no one, Corey gently pat it on its head, before looking in their bag to see if they had anything to give.
Meena 2: Meena skipped down the path till she saw the next house, which would be her first house to get goodies from, she walked up before knocking on the door. Meena only waited a minute before someone opened the door, she just got out the trick or treat when she felt something falls in her bag. Saying thank you, Meena went on her way to the next house, only looking in the bag when the person had waved goodbye and closed the door. Meena took her time getting to the next house as she looked down to see what she got, she smiled at it and reached in her bag putting it on her wrist for the rest of the night.
Bledid 18: Bledid wasn't sure about this, he had a puzzled looked on his face, and his hand was half raised to knock at the door that he was standing in front of. Bledid looked around to see if anyone else would come up and do this, there was no one, he took a deep breath and knocked on the door, at first he wanted to bolt, but he waited, he held his bag up when he heard the door open his eyes tightly shut, and said trick or treat. When Bledid felt something drop in the bag he said thank you and started away looking down, in his bag to see what he had gotten.
Khnurn 10: Khnurn looked at the bag that was handed to him, he followed behind his brothers watching them as they went and got prizes, he fallowed them as well to get these prizes as he was not sure what to really do but follow the lead of others at the moment. Khnurn was happy that he got an item this seemed more fun than he thought when he felt a bright light on his face, he looked blinking as a whisp was hovering around him. Khnurn walked around it trying to get out of its way, and catch up with his brothers, though wherever he went he started to feel that same bright light.
Heka yawned and looked around the festival. It wasn’t like bad things happened years in a row. This haunted Hallows was probably pretty safe, but they understood that sometimes adults just got a bit paranoid. They did admit having to be in groups and chaperoned was a bit stifling. Still Haunted Hallows was supposed to be a fun time and Heka was going to have as much fun as they could.
So with a deep breath that the night was going to be fun they went up to their first house. When knocking on the door they were suddenly handed a vespercat statue that wiggled. Ah it was kind of cute. Okay it was really cute.
Saying thank you, they started moving down the stares when a tortii rounded the corner and heka tripped over them. Owwww.
“be careful little guy. You should go back to your own-“ Heka trailed off when the familiar started following them, and following them and it was still following them. This wasn’t some one’s familiar was it? He had a sneaking suspicious this was now theirs.
Eryusa was kind of excited. This was their first hallow festival that they could really go out on. Yeah it kind of sucked they needed a group buddy system but youth was the future and all that jazz. He watched others as they were either tricked or handed something he supposed would be considered a treat.
Actually he wouldn’t really mind some of the tricks. Even the more cracked ones. School supplies could be used for drawing or writing outside of actual school and the cracked balls looked kind of cool. Well watching wouldn’t get him anything to decorate his room with and remembering the tales from his siblings he went out and rang the door bell.
Ah this was a trick house and he was handed one of those balls he thought were still cool. As he walked down the steps he noticed there was something strange about the ball and held it up.
This cracked ball even had a unique glow, or so he thought. Wait that wasn’t a glow… that was an actual familiar. The wisp moved from behind the ball and danced around his head. Well he had a familiar now.
It was her first haunted hallows since coming to the academy, and the first one that she wasn’t going to be with her parents or Amatsu. Bolero was supposedly somewhere around here but that was beside the point. The point was it was Haunted hallows. Spoopy things where everywhere everyone seemed to be in good spirits and there were all these cool things. Plus you got the best flavors during the fall holidays.
So Vanhi decided she was definitely going to try out this trick or treat thing and marched up to the first door. While it was a trick house, she was still happy. She had needed a couple new note books to jot down all the ideas that came up in the café. Here they thought they had given Vanhi a tick and she was actually kind of happy. Plus it was in one of the best colors.
While it was still pretty warm during the day, the nights had started to chill down. Nothing as bad as it got during winter, but Anubis was quite used to the summer temperatures. So he adjusted his coat around himself, luckily his mother had thought ahead and when she had created the outfit, she had made a coat to go along with it.
Anubis wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about seriously. Then again his mother designed clothes for a hobby and he lived at a bakery so access to sweets was common. Maybe if he had a friend this would be something to look forward to. Still he promised his mom he would have fun, and trivia would give him hell if he came home all sad because his mom would get sad.
So he sucked it up and walked up to the first house after making sure it was okay with his chaperone. When he rang the door, the old lady imp called him cute and handed him a vespercat statue. It was a black cat and it occasionally came to life in the tail area and wiggled. He had to admit it was pretty cool.
Jin was upset, why wouldn’t they let her go with her other siblings. Sure Leto and layren were juniors, but they would protect her. Even worse was she couldn’t get a hold of orphe or haruka to try to be in their group either. So far haunted hallows was not off to a good start. She wasn’t even sure she would be able to make a fried tonight. It sounded nothing like the stories orphe used to tell about haunted hallows.
Well this haunted hallows was a sad reminder for a lot of people. She hadn’t really been affected at all being so young at the time. For her it was just a night where she was separated from her siblings. There was no reason to complain at all.
With this decision decided, she got up intent on making the most and rang the doorbell. A nightmare opened up just long enough to throw something at her before shutting the door. Blinking she looked down at what she had received.
Rosline was very excited to show off her costume, she was a Princess Knight because she couldn't choose between the two ideas and such decided on both. She had a pretty gold brown and sapphire blue surcoat with a diamond pattern on it, a tiara, and a shield. But not a sword because she didn't want to hurt anyone.
She giggled, swirling around. "Trick or Treat!" She called and was so excited to show off, she left without even getting a prize. There was so many other people to show off too! Everyone needed to see how pretty she was.
Pollux got dressed up as a green and pink dragon for his first haunted hallows, he was so excited he knew his siblings were around somewhere and he wanted to hang out with them sometime tonight. Pollux arrived at his first stop and knocked on the door and he said "Trick or Treat!!" The pink and yellow imp smiled and handed him a toothbrush. Pollux shrugged and grinned "Thank you!" He said and ran off to go to the next house. He was so excited to get to celebrate his first haunted hallows he wondered what other surprises he would find tonight.
Magi was wearing a butterfly costume she was curious about gentle things that were able to fly since her family was most water based. She smiled when she arrived at the first door, even though the cracked orb was a trick and the litch looked like they wanted Magi to cry. She smiled instead, she would collect all the strange tricks and wonderful treats. It was then the litch so mad that Magi hadn't reacted the way they had wanted her to threw a plushie at her and went back into their house. Umm well ok then she would take the plushie too.
Aelius was so happy he was dressed up as a knight his helmet specially made to fit around his horns he was with a group of other freshlings, he wondered if he sibling was in one of the groups as well. He smiled and looked around at the other freshlings in their costumes. Aelius wasn't really sure why things were so secure but he liked the feeling of safety, being in groups and watched by caring eyes. Aelius went to the first house and smiled and said "Trick or Treat." He grinned brightly and said "Thank you when he was given the cat statue it was beautiful. He carefully put it in his bag.
Shock looked around he had dressed up as a prince he was a beast every other say of the week so this holiday he wanted to be a charming prince even if he was a growling one there was only so much of him he could change after all. Shock actually grinned when he was given the pencil it was pretty kool looking really he twirled it in his hands. Then he looked down at the familiar that had joined him. Shock blinked and tilted his head to the side the familiar was pretty but he wasn't really sure what they were but they had chosen him so Shock would choose them back happily. "Come on buddy let's go get more kool stuff." Then he turned and thanked the chimera for his pencil.
Andrew was dressed as a pirate his hat had special holes in it so his fluffy antennas fit through comfortable and he had a eye patch over one of his eyes. Maybe that was why the neko at the first house he stopped at decided to give him the pretty lantern it did look pretty kool with his costume so he smiled and thanked the neko for the treat. Then Andrew looked around at the rest of his group he wondered if his freshling friend was out there somewhere in the night. He hoped so or maybe he could finally meet some more friends.
