Elirian had assumed the torti would meander his way away after their incident, but he just kept following her. Everything time she stopped, he would begin gnawing on her robes again. Of course she found it rather amusing and decided that she'd keep him if Wynnie told her she could. Running up to the next house, she and her brother one more we're gifted with mystery items. Once more they thanked the adults and ran off to see what they'd gotten. She opened her bag and grinned when she saw the striped pencil and shaped eraser. “Oh yay! Look, Veles! I got a new pencil!” She exclaimed and shoved her bag towards him.
Veles snorted at his sister, shaking his head. “You’re so weird,” he smirked as she puffed up at him again. Opening his own bag, he grinned a caramel coated grin of glee. Inside was a bag of chocolates covered in foil coloured to look like eyeballs. “Looks like you're not gonna have any candy to give me, Eli.”
Pollux had just gotten a weird handbag of popcorn when he spotted his sister Roselin in another group, he went to join the group and then noticed that there was a torti following him. "Hey Roselin!! Look what's following me." Pollux grinned gesturing to the torti familiar that was with him now. He wondered what sort of stuff Rosie had gotten while they were apart. "Want to see my stuff and you can see my stuff??" Pollux asked in a bright cheerful tone. Then he growled to show off his cool dragon-ess nature of his costume. Pollux was so happy.
Magi decided to try braving the haunted house, she was a little nervous that she would be too frightened to make it through the haunted house, she went with her group past witches and ghosts and others spooky stuff. It wasn't so scary after all and she made it through the haunted house without crying. She was rather proud of herself the freshlings that made it through the haunted house maze were given lanterns at the end. She took the purple light lantern and looked around with it, the purple light revealed a torti. Magi smiled and greeted her new familiar friend.
Aelius Jr smiled and thanked the naga who gave him an orange toothbrush it was rather cute and he liked it. He turned and jumped spooked by the spooky atherjellie that he hadn't seen before. He let out a sigh of relief when he realized it was just a familiar and nothing to be afraid of. "Oh my goodness." He said to the familiar "Your certainly a spooky familiar." Aelius said in a cheerful tone, the jellie looked like it was covered in blood but it was just a marking nothing to be scared of at all. "Alright come on let's go get more tricks and treats!"
Shock tripped and all his tricks and treats went flying everywhere he had no time to get any treats at the moment as he rushed to gather his things before other freshlings accidentally stepped on his stuff. He didn't want someone to step on his friendly funny face turnips. Turnip was growling but he was also near tears in his many eyes at the idea of losing all his cool haunted hallows things in a stupid mishap. He didn't know if he would be able to regather everything he had gotten so far if some of his stuff was lost forever!!
Andrew was very pleased he got the earlier he wanted finally he cheerfully thanked the litch for giving him the trick he had needed. Then Andrew took his notebook, pencil, and eraser and went to sit against one of the houses to watch the other freshlings pass by. He started to draw a bunch of them enjoying taking an art break and being watching. He figured he could get back up anytime to go grab more tricks or treats at any time so it was all good. Besides if he forgot to go get more stuff that was ok too it was his choice.
All dressed up in a cute little fairy costume of glitter and pink, Aly smiled as she skipped along the way. She had drug a schoolmate out with her for the night because she didn't catch up with her siblings, but she didn't want to miss out! Turning about, she smiled at her friend, "C'mon Exet! So much candy and so little time!" but no sooner did she do that, did she fall backwards! "AUGH!" Her rump was sore and she looked under her legs that were propped up on something. "TORTI!" she exclaimed happily.
Exet wasn't as thrilled about things this year. He enjoyed the scary things of the season, but the trick or treating was kind of irritating. All the same, he went with his schoolmate. She wouldn't shut up until he agreed. The little hallowed didn't bother dressing up in a costume, content to just snitch what was there to snatch. Watching in slight amusement at the girl tripping over the torti, he shook his head and spied a kid not far from him. Sneaking over, he slipped a hand in the bag and grabbed up something. Popcorn! Not a bad score! So with that, he worked on sneaking away.
Rosline grinned up at nightmare that answered the door and gave a gleeful noise as she was allowed to pick a homemade chocolate bat. Ooh No! It was melting. She shoved it in her mouth, eating it. It was so good. She licked sticky chocolate from her fingers, cleaning them. Soo good, soo messy. She loved milk chocolate.
“Pollux?!” She exclaimed excited and spun around, beaming at her brother, licking the last of the chocolate away. “Yes! I want to see and ooh! You are so cute, Pollux. I love your costume! Dragon!” She clapped her hands. “Oooh, it a torti! Can I touch him?” She asked, leaning down to peer at the familiar and not noticing the wisp that was fliting behind her.
The odd turnip thing, creature? Was it a plant creature? He still wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do with it. Certainly not eat it. He was so confused that he didn’t chime up with the other freshlings in his group at the next door. He paused, giving out a half-hearted thank you and followed the rest of them.
Ooh, they had given him a rather cute bat pencil. That was cute but more school supplies? He gave a half shrug and followed. Maybe they thought he needed more school supplies even though he was going to have holidays soon.
Tri'yn had to stop for a moment and fix his costume, something was coming under done. While he fixed his issue Lavinia went ahead of him to the next door. He struggled trying to tie the loose piece back in place. He finally got it and went to join Lavinia, just as he close the older nightmare looked at him and had a sad face "Sorry kid, I'm all out" he said apologizing. He went back inside and turned his light off to signal he was out of things to give out. Tri'yn was sad for a moment, but remembered there were a lot more houses to go to and one little thing wasnt going to matter much.

"Ahh, here little ones; you'll doubtless need this after tonight!" Smiling a smile full of teeth as white as his coat, the chimera reached down and placed a toothbrush into Zoe's pail. Though she had really been hoping for candy, she managed a sincere thank you and tried to remind herself that the grown-up was only doing what he thought was best. Suddenly she gasped as something that looked like a floating piece of coal flitted in front of her face. She squeaked and tried to brush it away, and it floated about in agitation, apparently not liking being swatted like a fly. "Gilly! Help; what IS this thing??" She listened and shuddered; even though it was just a familiar......she couldn't help but be afraid of it, the way it seemed to watch her like a disembodied eye. She blinked as she was suddenly spoken to by another of the freshlings in their group, a young naga who already had one floating around her head and was apparently quite at ease with the fact. "Oh would you? I'm sorry if I hurt its feelings; I would be happy if it went to someone who appreciated it more than me." She smiled. "Oh no, you don't have to give me anything in exchange, but I'll be happy to send any more of these your way if I come across them."
Gilly fell into the exact same trap as her friend when she came up to the door and was met by the friendly dentist; though she did try to back away, she was too slow for the hand that shot out and plunked a toothbrush into her bucket. But then she laughed as she saw her trying to shoo away a wisp that had apparently come out from the shadows to torment her. "Those are wisps, Zoe. Familiars. Guess that one wants to go with you." She was surprised that her friend was so easily scared by the things, but everyone had their own quirks. She started suddenly as one of the freshlings that had previously been keeping to herself spoke up in a quiet, low voice, asking if she might have it if Zoe wasn't interested. The other freshling already had one, and they definitely looked more at home around the other's dark and dreary garb than with her brightly-colored friend. "Sure, no problem; at least it'll have someone to go with." She might have considered it herself, except she wasn't sure how well a little airy thing like a wisp would fare with her Vespercat.
Unlike the two that went before her to the house, Caitlyn was actually pleased with getting the toothbrush. Anything with a scary motif was fun for her to get, and she could always find a use for an extra toothbrush. Though at this rate, she wouldn't have to worry too much about dirty teeth, since she had yet to get a single piece of candy. She suddenly noticed a small basket off to the side of the porch, tilted sideways as though emptied vigorously of whatever it had once held. She reached out and carefully tilted it back up, only to hear something softly rustling inside. Without a shred of fear she reached in, and her eyes widened as she pulled out a doll. So THAT'S why this house was giving toothbrushes away; they had probably been giving out plushes instead of candy, and they ran out! This one was probably missed because it was so dark. She smiled, feeling rather lucky as she placed it in her pail. A sudden commotion among two of the other freshlings caused her to look, and she saw one of them frantically trying to shoo away one of the wisps that seemed intent to befriend her. She felt so sorry for the wisp.....she just couldn't let it be, even if she didn't really know the two. She slithered up to them and did her best to raise her usually quiet voice. "Excuse me.....if....if you don't want that wisp....." She reached into her pail and pulled out the only thing she could think the other would want; her newly acquired goat plush. She was surprised when the other insisted that she could have the wisp for free, and she managed little more than a startled nod of gratitude. She smiled as she watched the wisp move away from the other freshling and appear to study and exchange silent salutations with her own wisp. It would truly be something if she returned with her own band of apparitions to haunt her room!
Elirian snickered to herself as she watched another freshling with some amazing hair slip their hand into her brother's bag. “Maybe you're just bad luck,” she shot back, blowing him a raspberry before walking right past him! She trotted over to the thief, her torti following close behind, and linked her arm with theirs as if she knew them. She didn't, of course, but no one else knew that but them! “It's not nice to steal things,” she commented casually, smiling, “but don't worry I didn't tell Veles. He's being a butt tonight.”
“HEY!” Veles yelled as his sister ran off with someone else. What just happened? As far as he knew, Eli really didn't have any friends outside the family. Frowning, he followed after them, intent to keep his sister in his sights. He was so caught up in watching where his sister was going that he didn't see the pink glittery heap of another person until he tripped over her. Letting out a strange yelp, he smacked the ground on the other side of the girl--and apparently another torti, where were these things coming from? His head snapped up and he looked around for Eli, brows furrowing as she and whomever she went off with seemed to have disappeared in the crowds for now. He turned his attention to the person he'd tripped over and scowled slightly. “Sorry I tripped on you.”
Bailey was getting tired, this was a long evening! He didn't want to leave early as he was having so much fun! He was caught yawning when a very enthusiastic nightmare opened the door, they were wearing what looked like a doctors overcoat but had a happy tooth fairy motif on it! The other Freshling's groaned as the Nightmare handed them each a halloween themed toothbrush and reminded them to make sure they brush REALLY well after all their sweeties!
Result -
Alula was on a real high, this night was going so well for her, she wished it wouldn't end! She twirled around happily, her little Wisp friend Wilma skittered around behind her, trailing her twirl making it look all twinkly! She arrived at the next door and jumped ahead to knock on the door! She did her new and improved sparkly twirl and each of the freshlings received a bag of candy eyeballs! she was excited to shovel a few in her mouth, enjoying the squish of them bursting on her tongue! Ahh! These were amazing!
The ethereal child had been curious about this concept of trick-or-treating, curious by what had been explained to him. Things would be divvied out to them, for free? Just for stopping by a home? How interesting... Well if it meant possibly gathering some items that Monet or Noctis would enjoy, it seemed worthwhile. And so the emotion vacant, unblinking Libra floated about with his group--unfortunately separated from Noctis--and partook in the festivities. Perhaps without the gusto as the other children possessed... His first granted item was one that truly intrigued him: a singing cluster of charms that had him hone in and focus rather intently on the little tune it chimed.

It was safe to say that the already hostile, and unsocial Noctis was even more so with being away from Libra. He had to travel around with other kids that he couldn't care about... and how annoying they were... His geist tendrils rippled to express his dissatisfaction with the arrangement, focused solely on getting through the evening and rejoining his only friend. He could just feel the judgement from all these other kids... and his first item gained was a bust. School supplies? psh. Maybe Libra would like this stuff...
