Hvergelmir Knight of the Cosmos

A huge smile broke across Hvergelmir's face. "Blithe as ever," she laughed. "You ridiculous creature -- welcome back."

Her hands were trembling, the stress of the situation finally starting to catch up with her. He could have died, they all could have died. Some of them had come quite close to it -- or had come close to becoming Metallia's slaves.

Hvergelmir drew her shimmering cloak out of the air and spread it loosely out over Scholomance's torso like a blanket. "You know the drill by now," she told him.

Her next move was over to the eternal soldier kneeling next to her: Hvergelmir reached out her hands and three ribbons matching her cloak appeared in her grasp, one of which she tied lightly in a bow around the other woman's bicep.

"Focus your mind on it for a moment, and you should be able to feel the magic start to flow. And two more here for the two other people with the worst injuries. You pick."

She glanced around. "If anyone needs the hospital, I can take one person there directly. Otherwise, I'd like to get Scholomance home before the Negaverse gets the bright idea of coming back for our stragglers with reinforcements."

Quote:
Stardust Cloak (personal item): (being used on Scholomance)
- Fully recharges over a 48-hour period
- Holds 30 minutes of charge
- Activated when worn by concentrating on the item
- After 5 minutes, minor cuts/scrapes/bruises are healed
- After 10 minutes, moderate cuts/sprains are healed
- After 15 minutes, major lacerations (if they have not already caused death!) will have begun to scab over, broken bones not set properly will slowly have set themselves (but will still be broken)
- After 30 minutes, recovery time from major injuries will be reduced by about 1 week, and magic will be recharged by up to 50%.

Stardust Ribbons (distributable item): (1 for Scylla, 2 for Scylla to give to others present)
- Not rechargable (one-time use only)
- Holds 30-45 minutes of charge
- Activated when worn by concentrating on the item
- After 5 minutes, minor cuts/scrapes/bruises are healed, sprains are numbed, blood flow stops from moderate cuts
- After 30-45 minutes, moderate cuts/sprains are healed
- After use, ribbons become just pretty trinkets and cannot be used again.
- Since it takes her some time to make them, Hvergelmir has a limit of making 2 - 3 per month, and no "hoarding/carryover" on her part so she cannot give out a bunch of these all at once in big battles -- if she doesn't give out 2 - 3 in a given month, it will just be assumed that she didn't make as many that month.

Erytheia of Cosmos

Erytheia stay kneeling by the body as Hvergelmir brushed her light fingers on his shoulder. Her soft words reassured him that the battle was over. But it was hard for him to hear them. Was he truly a credit to his wonder? He felt as though he had not done much at all. He had stayed with the body and he could see, as the knight of Cosmos began to let the bright starseed slowly and delicately drift back into Scholomance's lifeless chest, that the very act of protecting the host was important. Was that not his duty? To protect people and starseeds? He had only done as he was supposed to. He blushed still. They had been successful and Erytheia knew he should feel proud, but it was an emotion he was not comfortable feeling - not as he was in the presense of a full knight of Cosmos and what was about to happen!

Erytheia had never seen a starseed returned to its host before and it was a breathtaking sight for him. He knew starseeds could be taken just as they could be returned, but he had never seen it - witnessed it - that it had been nothing more than a theory. A thing such as a starseed's return to its host was like a legend - not something you would actually see occur right on the earth in front of you.

But it did.

And Scholomance was alive.

Erytheia didn't know what to say or do. He was in awe as he stared at Scholomance and Hverlgelmir and Scylla. In the eternal senshi's response, he knew she was the one who had sent out the message and he was glad she was safe. He hadn't been able to find the sender of the signal before and that had bothered him greatly, but now it was no worry. Even Hvergelmir seemed happy again now as she greeted Scholomance and wrapped him in her magic cloak.

Still Erytheia couldn't help but wonder what had transpired here before he arrived.

Eternal Scylla

Phact came closer, settling her hand on Scylla's shoulder, and bare shoulders slumped, the senshi still clinging to her... to Scholomance's hand. Her other rose to touch Phact's on her skin, squeezing with gratitude. "Yeah," she whispered faintly, breath hot over increasingly familiar four fingers. "Thank you Phact. Can I- thank you. Can I ask you to get-" The hand jerking from her grasp pulled Jada's attention away from words, away from anything but her friend.

He sat up, and Scylla sat back on her heels, both hands going out to touch him, to help steady him if he needed it. He had plenty of support, it seemed; Hvergelmir was there, and Hy-Brasil, and Scylla felt herself give a breathy sigh of relief, ducking her eyes away from his face. "Never doing that again," she agreed; "It wasn't the most enjoyable adventure we've had together, gorgeous." she gave him a grin, leaned in to rub her thumb softly over his slim cheek.

She ached to lean in and press a relieved kiss to his lips, and if they weren't surrounded by strangers, she may have. Prudence and timing won out; Hy-Brasil leaned out a hand, and Hver placed a cloak over his shoulders, and Scylla leaned back, shakily, turning damp eyes up to look at the redhead wanting to lift him from the floor. Then to look at the knight who was wrapping a ribbon around her arm.

I don’t think my heart could handle that again. It was frightfully true, and yet Scylla had only herself to blame for the fall forward that had deprived Isaiah of his starseed.

Possibly. Perhaps Schörl had yanked and shoved; in all fairness Scylla had been unable to see that much detail in the hubbub. "I think the knight outside is the one in the worst shape that I saw. The one who took on Cinnabar." she cleared her throat, looking around the room. It didn't look like anyone inside was as badly wounded, she would have to look outside before she could gauge who else would get the last of the three ribbons. "I can give this to him. Feel like going home and passing out, gorgeous?" Isaiah looked reasonably exhausted, and her own strength was flagging with desperate relief.

Jada didn't want to leave Ice's side, but she struggled to her feet, swaying as her sluggishly bleeding wounds complained. Right. Ribbon. She pressed a hand to the ribbon, focusing her mind; the magic was warm, and the breath was what she needed to settle herself. "You need to get some rest, gorgeous. Remember, I promised you a vacation if we survived." Jada didn't want to leave his side, but she had to trust Hver, and Hy-Brasil clearly cared. The emotion in her voice was... clear, alongside her willingness to assist them. She and Scholomance were, at the very least, very good friends. And that was something she wasn't sure she had the brain-power to consider just yet.

All she wanted was a hug, maybe something to eat, a good long bath, and a cuddle.

Bright purple eyes settled on Erytheia, swallowing back another tide. He'd done so much in protecting Ice. "I'm going to go pass these out. Thank you." Scylla addressed Hver with a wan smile, bloodied fingers curling around the ribbons. "I'll tell them what to do. I... thank you. So much." reaching out to pat Phact on the shoulder, giving her a warm smile of gratitude, she wobbled again. "Schol, if you're gone when I step back in, I'll call you tomorrow." more lingered on the tip of her tongue, her lips quivering, but she stepped away, moing outside.

There were others to worry about; he was safe, and the allies who had responded needed care. Scylla inhaled, shoving off the itching pain. She needed to remember faces. She needed to focus on the now, not the what-could-have been. They deserved to be thanked for their aid, and the blood they had shed for people they may not even know.

Out the door first to Kaitaros, pausing before the blood-soaked knight and clearing her throat. "Thought you could use one of these," she told him, and held it out with a smile. "Tie it on, focus on the magic, it is supposed to help a little. Or a lot." she held it out for him or his partner to take, before considering the battlefield, taking in the faces of those people still behind, wounded and injured.

There was one last ribbon, and she decided her target carefully. The dark moon senshi had fought to protect Ice, and been an ally, and now he suffered for it, wounded and clearly hurting from whatever the attack had been that was cast at the door, that had affected the Agents of Chaos. Moving towards him, she paused, trying to get his attention, holding the ribbon tightly in her grip. "Hi," she said gently to Ptolemaeus. Chaos-aligned or not, he had done something good, and Jada wouldn't leave anyone in the cold who had done her or someone she cared about a good turn. She waited at his side for a moment before reaching in, wrapping the ribbon around his arm.

Ptolemaeus, DMS of Change

They were crying. A good lot of them were in tears, just as he had been a while ago when he'd been affected by Chrysocolla's magic, and it made Ptolemy regard them with a cold, distant sort of contempt. It just reminded him how weak and pitiful emotions could make people. Even now it was a struggle to block out his own - or rather, the ones that had been imposed on him by that Eternal White Moon.

Yes, Scholomance did appear to be alive and still of the Order alignment...but was that really such a good thing? As he was now, the Saturn Knight must have still recalled all the agony he had suffered at the hands of the Negaverse generals and would probably be burdened with the paranoia that they would be seeking revenge for this defeat. If he had been corrupted, perhaps he could have had a greater chance at happiness or at least contentment.

And despite what he had fought for that day, Ptolemaeus was not above entertaining selfish desires. If Scholomance had been corrupted, he would have become aligned with Chaos, just like himself. Perhaps they could have become closer, even beyond just their powered selves. And if the man had forgotten all his Order friends, there likely wouldn't have been anyone else the knight-turned-general could have turned to.

One reason the Dark Mirror felt it was okay to consider these 'what if' scenarios was because he knew the possibility of them happening now was slim to none. There was no longer anything to be tempted by; just the dregs of ponderings regarding what might have been. He knew deep down that even he wouldn't have been able to take it in stride if Scholomance had been corrupted against his will. Despite the fact that losing his memories as an Order member might have brought him some peace through ignorance, surely it was best that things ended how they had, with the knight waking up surrounded by those who loved and cared about and had fought for him, putting their very lives on the line. Lives worth more than that of a reckless Dark Mirror with little to lose.

It was the effects of the magical attack. They were still affecting him. They must have been for to be feeling like his own life meant so little. For him to be feeling this bitter toward people, especially after they'd just accomplished what he'd come here to help them do. This wasn't like him at all. He didn't want to be around these Order members while he was still seeped in such negative feelings, try as he might to block them out. However, with the bones of his foot shattered, he couldn't exactly leave just then, either.

While he was busy brooding over what to do, someone else had taken the initiative to approach him and he started a bit, surprised. He almost wasn't sure how to react, which was peculiar because he knew in his right mind he would have at least cast her his usual grin, but at the moment, it was all he could do to answer with a nod and a blank look. If she was ready to hurt him some more because he was Chaos, he would be ready for it.

Instead, though, Scylla astonished Ptolemaeus further by reaching over to wrap a ribbon around one of his youma-mauled arms and he grimaced a bit at the contact. Though he had vaguely seen a few being given to others, he hadn't been paying enough attention to know what for. It hadn't seemed to pertain to him at all until now, but if he had to make a guess, he thought it must have had magical properties. It seemed far too pretty just to serve as makeshift bandages, anyway.

A couple of minutes passed before he could force himself to speak. "Are you...sure you want to waste this on me?" A pathetic attempt at a laugh. "It's going to get all bloody. And it might not even work on a Chaos being."

Lieutenant Reinerite

At some point Reinerite had stopped screaming, although she had stayed where she was as grey eyes continued to stare blankly, uncaring of what was occuring around her.

She missed the order to retreat, was unaware of the General teleporting out or of the other chaotic auras started to fade, leaving only the sickly sweet feeling of Order...

A tug roused her - somewhat - grey eyes staring up blankly at the blond before she let him tug her off.

Later she would realise she been under the effect of some sort of magic..

Later she would be embarrassed at her loss of composure - and the Lieutenant and god knows who else had also seen her that way...

And later she would promise herself that she would not forget this - that she would find a way to somehow avenge this.

For now however Reinerite followed docilely enough as the blond Lieutenant tugged her away both from the area and the site of the Negaverse's defeat.

Red and blue flashed brilliantly while cops trickled into the area. Carefully they encroached on the epicenter of conflict, the fair few blocks where many still locked in combat. The ring of police closed on the locations, isolating them, and soon the cops departed from their vehicles to take up stance behind their doors. The procedure was familiar by this time, and those caught in the frequent crackdowns on powered mayhem were by now highly acclimated to the drill. Soon, a megaphone blared with the imperative to stand down and disperse from the area.

They would wait, naturally, for compliance. The police were known for their terribly finite patience, however; prudence dictated that one leave before further consequences occurred.

Lieutenant Huntite

When he got to the hot zone he fully planned on sticking to the edges after seeing that it was pretty much order around at this point and no one seemed to be stuck in the same situation as Witherite where they couldn't leave. Of course that plan completely changed when he spotted Ptolemaeus there looking half way beaten up and standing there with an Eternal(Scylla) standing close to him.

While the order Senshi didn't look aggressive, and instead looked like she was trying to help, he was not about to leave Kit-kat surrounded by the enemy, hurt, when then police were about to enter the area.

The Lieutenant quickly made his way over to the two, avoiding any of the other combatants though keeping an eye on all of them just the same in case they decided to make any aggressive moves toward the DMC or himself. "Ptolemaeus, come on, lets get you out of here kid." It was a bit weird calling the mirror Senshi by his powered name rather then a nickname but he wasn't stupid enough to use the normal 'Kit-kat' around anyone who could hear.

Scholomance Knight of Saturn

Welcome back, yet his time spent gone passed in a blink. Scholomance never acclimated well to the time lost during fainting spells. Hvergelmir's cloak touched his shoulders as it had before, when the lot of them gathered at Olympus. Closing eyes, he focused on the weightlessness of the shawl as it rested on him and pooled around his figure. Many times he regretted the full coverage of his uniform, and now rediscovered that regret - he never knew the feel of the material against his skin. Interestingly, direct touch mattered little; Hvergelmir's stardust cloak conferred its healing magics upon him without such close contact. He hoped that the cloak's magic might deliver him from a scar on his face.

Scholomance pinched the draping sides of the cloak together with his hand, then stood with a margin of effort. "Didn't want the cloak to fall," he explained to Hy-Brasil, who proffered a hand. The relief in her face spoke of great distress, as did Scylla's reaction earlier. Much of the room expressed similar volumes of care, though he knew few of the people in the area. The sudden interest in his survival seemed strange coming from others, but relief seldom lied; utter strangers invested themselves in his safety and put their own lives at risk for corruption if the Negaverse gained the upper hand. He and Scylla stood immensely lucky for that, alongside the Negaverse's hubris in their own abilities.

While he wasn't sure how far they stood from the battle, Scholomance knew the extent of his own injuries well enough. "While it feels like I was strapped to a Roman chariot and paraded around the city, I'm sure I can make it home fine. Cinnabar only tried to rip my face off, and the rest of it's just magic and… However I ended up here. Wherever 'here' is. I can just power down and call a cab." It seemed the safest option, given how the Negaverse may reflux back into the area. Eikthyrnr's teleportation guaranteed an easy ride to the hospital for one of the unfortunates who faced the greater Negaverse force.

And weren't conveniently knocked out from starseed loss.

"It seems a little unceremonious to just leave, but…" Scholomance shrugged his shoulders. "My starseed feels like it's trying to implode and I really have to use the bathroom." He doubted that such a defunct place retained a working restroom. Body functions often served an excellent means for excusing oneself from such socially muddled situations as owing one's entire present life and existence to everyone in the room.

He aimed a sidelong glance to Hy-Brasil next. The panic and adrenaline of the battle slackened, and weariness claimed its place in typical scavenger fashion. "I've spent nights on the floor of a Cirle K before, believe me. It's not on my list of experiences to repeat. Now, will you walk me home? I'd like to bring more people if they're willing; the bigger the group, the less chance we stand of getting picked off in a retaliatory second wave if the Negaverse decides to hold a grudge." Most of the room looked as weary and pained as he felt; a detour to the nearby hospital wasn't out of the question.

Eternal Scylla

The dark moon senshi nodded to her and gazed blankly in her direction, and Scylla smiled reassuringly, verifying that the ribbon was secure, tucking the ends to make sure it was not going to slip off. "It isn't a waste." Scylla knew how he could see it as such, and on some level... it could be seen as such. She lifted her voice, making sure anyone nearby who might be considering it so could hear her clearly as she said, "You fought to help keep him safe. Regardless of your alignment, that makes you an ally for today, and your wounds make this worth a try."

She reached out, catching his unwounded hand and lifting it up, pressing it to the ribbon. "She said if you focus for a moment on the ribbon, you should be able to feel the magic. It was a bit warm for me. If it doesn't work, I'm sorry. Either way, I appreciate your help." Scylla started to step back as the police began to arrive, yet an incoming lower-rank Chaos signature gave her pause, and she gripped that hand fiercely, shifting to see the brave soul who was risking coming here now.

Ptolemaeus. Kid. Terms of affection, of someone who knew this senshi. Still accepted by a member of the Negaverse- had they not noticed the actions he had taken? Did they not care? Would letting him go be bad? Had she given him the ribbon only to let him go to something dangerous? She released his hand, considering the Lieutenant with clear suspicion. "I can make sure you get home as well," she offered, pushing dark hair behind her ear. "Whatever you are most comfortable with." Whatever this senshi's allegiance... she owed him a favor.

Scholomance was still here; apparently not teleportation as his choice of exit, then, or he was saying a long goodbye. She stepped back slowly, giving the Dark Moon senshi time to join her if he wished, not intending to leave him out in the cold, and certainly not to potential harm at the hands of another chaos agent.

But she did have to pop her head back in, if Scholomance wasn't teleporting away. She hurried back over to him, lifting onto her tiptoes to speak close to his ear, only just refraining from smooching his cheek. "I forgot to tell you- I was thinking maybe instead of Chicago we could do something like Musha Cay, Bora Bora, Vegas. Someplace with something to do other than just eat pizza. Honestly. We survived, let's enjoy it. And figure out who we're taking."

Running her fingers through her hair, she said, "Walking him home as a group could be good, but I've got to go to the park, I promised someone a visit."

Turning to everyone remaining again, she repeated, "Thank you again, everyone."

And then, at last, she slipped away into the night.

Ptolemaeus, DMS of Change

Gazing down at the ribbon as the eternal senshi secured it on his arm, Ptolemaeus wondered vaguely what she would have thought of him if they had met prior to Scholomance requiring their aid. He looked up when she raised her voice, guessing at her purpose in doing so, and a phantom of a smile ghosted his lips. "Thank you." At least it seemed his actions and the intent behind them had meant something to someone regardless of whether or not he had actually managed to make a difference during the battle.

He watched as Scylla took his other hand to press it to the ribbon before explaining the instructions regarding its use. Even as she apologized, the Dark Mirror senshi was testing it out and found that he did, in fact, get a peculiar, yet pleasantly warm sensation upon focusing on the ribbon. It wasn't enough to fix his fractured foot or dissipate the magic imposing feelings of grief and despair, but it certainly worked wonders on his more minor injuries. Ptolemy was just registering the eternal's words when flashes of red and blue lights heralded the arrival of official law enforcers. But they weren't the only newcomers to show up just then.

The grip on his hand tightened when a new Chaos signature came into range, but he recognized the voice and appearance of the agent instantly. It was what Huntite was doing there that Ptolemy was having trouble comprehending. Though he knew the lieutenant was with the Negaverse, hadn't ever been able to picture Richard actually doing Negaverse things like getting himself involved in a fight to corrupt a knight against his will. Had he come there because he'd been asked to? Made to? Or because he wanted to?

Whatever the case, the complications of what was transpiring slowly began to dawn on the male senshi and he immediately began to worry for Huntite's safety, especially with so many of the Order still around and the majority of the other Chaos members having already retreated. There was also the matter of the eternal who had just expressed her gratitude toward him for his assistance. Would she take it back once she recognized his association with a member of her enemy's organization?

Somehow, though, she actually seemed protective of him for a moment, and Ptolemaeus found himself perplexed. Evidently Scylla seemed to trust him enough not to jump to the conclusion that he was a traitor secretly working with the Negaverse. Even if it had been his actions that had grounded her opinion of him, he knew how easy it could have been to twist such ideas by assuming that perhaps he had helped out the Order's side in this instance simply to build rapport with them. Or...perhaps it didn't matter to her because his intentions didn't change what he had done.

As intensely curious as he grew about this, the Dark Mirror still worried for Huntite, particularly because there was such a discrepancy of power between him and the eternal. Maybe now that the fight had been won, though, or maybe because she didn't feel like attacking unprovoked, the Senshi of Kraken merely cast the lieutenant a skeptical look before offering Ptolemy an alternative method of getting home.

He exhaled a breath he hadn't even realized he'd been holding once he understood that there wasn't likely to be conflict between them this night. Then he dipped his head in gratitude and answered, "You're very gracious and I deeply appreciate your proposal, but I must humbly decline. I'd hate to trouble you any more than I already have." Raising his dark eyes to meet her vividly purple ones, he added, "I hope we'll be able to meet again soon, though." There were many things he wanted to talk to her and ask her about, but not now while he was still emotionally impaired. "Until then, I hope you...and him...remain well." His gaze flickered to the Saturn Knight and he trusted the woman would understand whom he was referring to. "And I thank you for doing so much for him, too. He's lucky to have someone like you watching his back."

He might have given a proper bow at the waist, but unable as he was to stand just then, that would have proved to be quite the undertaking. So instead, he settled for another bow of his head before focusing his full attention on Huntite - Richard. Happy as he was to see the man, it was still stifled by the eternal magic emotionally crippling him and even attempting a smile turned out to be too ambitious a feat.

"Huntite," he said softy. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here. Um...would you mind helping me up? Please?" He gestured to the broken bones resulting from Keyite stomping on the instep of his right foot. "I...don't think I can stand on my own."

Lieutenant Huntite

Huntite didn't care if Scylla was suspicious of him, he was equally suspicious of her so turn about was fair play. After all she was being helpful to Ptolemaeus now but that didn't mean she wouldn't try and sway the teen over to the White Moon if she got the chance, and beyond that she could just as easily attack or rally up the other Order members to if she wanted even if those options weren't as likely with the police here. Either way he didn't trust her so why should she trust him. He had managed not to glare at the Eternal for her offer to take Kit home instead since it was clear she was just worried for the Mirror Senshi, but it was still a close call. However he couldn't quite help but let a very small smirk cross his lips when the younger man turned the Order Senshi down in her offer and she left.

He didn't relax any after she left however, knowing full well that he and Kit were outnumbered even with the Order member's injured. "It's fine, kid. I didn't know you were here either until I saw you when I was passing by." It was probably a good thing he hadn't known until now anyway. If the way that Eternal was acting was anything to go by his lover might have ended up causing him a conflict of interest depending on what he was doing to get the White Moon to be protective of him. His eyes narrowed when the younger man brought his injured foot to attention, a flash of worry and anger in in his eyes for a moment, and he got down to carefully lift up the slightly taller man. "Of course." Once Ptolemy was secure he was quick to put some distance between them and the Order. "We're going to make a stop where you can get fixed up then I'm going to take you home to rest."

Tortuga, Page of Jupiter
HP: 80 / 130

It had all happened so fast. His two attackers were counterattacked by senshi before they ran into the building. Some poor nega was tossed through a window like Eddie Murphy in that movie, not once but twice. A long haired fellow caused magic flowers to bloom and the chaos fighters around him collapsed, some screaming, others crying out. And then... then it was over. The general, her aura like a dark star, blinked out. She left, calling a retreat as she went. More and more negaverse auras faded away. Did that mean they won? Had they saved that guy? That knight who had created that ring upgrade... he still needed to get his ring... or go to his wonder for that matter.

Tortuga had stumbled to the broken door of the empty store, his body aching and bruised but whole, just in time to see the poofy haired lady pull something glittering from her cleavage. It took him a moment to connect the small sparkling stone with the starseed he had been told about at which point it was as if his brain just blanked because that knight had just pulled a freaking soul from her boobs. Man did that put a new meaning to being a 'boob guy'. The redhead was pulled from his contemplations when the purple knight sat up, had Tortuga ever gotten his name? Had it been given out at that meeting? Why couldn't he even think of the name of the knight he had just risked his life trying to save and why could did he really want to just laugh at the term 'boob guy'.

The inappropriate urge to giggle quickly dissipated when the flashing lights of emergency vehicles appeared on the buildings surrounding them. A megaphone called out for everyone to stand down and disperse unaware that it seemed they were already doing so. It looked like the part really was well and truly done. With shaky legs himself the page approached the group that was still around the awakened knight, "Come on guys. We need to scram and even though you look ok a stop at a hospital wouldn't be remis." He held a hand out towards the purple knight to help him on to his feet. Really, really glad to see the spark of life back in his face.

Hy-Brasil

She understood his not wanting to loose the cloak that the Cosmos Knight had placed on him. Whatever it did, it certainly seemed to be helping revive him some, so she pushed down the little flare of inadequecy at his refusing her assistance. She was being irrational and damn well knew it. So she offered him a smile, but didn't move to smother him or offer more assistance unless asked. The squire knew better now not to force her help on him as it seemed to breed resentment.

And then Scylla came back and Hy-Brasil felt that jealousy stir again to an almost enraging point. To keep her cool, she turned her attention away from them to glance back to see how some of the others were doing. Everyone appeared to be, for the most part, well enough. Some were more worse for the wear than others, but everyone was at least on their feet. She had been so focused on Scholomance that she hadn't even thought of some of the others until now and she felt ashamed of herself for it. She needed to pay closer attention to the allies around her next time and not tunnel vision.

Scylla left the building, and Hy-Brasil turned back to Scholomance. "I don't mind at all. Let's get you home so you can rest." She smiled warmly, glad he had asked her. Others seemed interested as well, and traveling in a group at this time of night was not a terrible idea even if you didn't factor in the negaverse and their probably bitterness at loosing their prey.

As Tortuga mentioned the hospital, Hy nodded. "That's not a bad idea." She remarked. "I am sure a visit into the ER just to get patched up would be useful for some of us."

Super Eros

The rainbow senshi watched everything with a wide-eyed sort of amazement, left alone and forgotten on the edge of the battlezone. It was hard to say if anyone had even seen her slip in, they were so wrapped up in their own fighting. Definitely how Eros preferred things in a battle situation.

She got to watch as a woman with horns got thrown about and then went insane at a newly arrived knight, doing him good damage before she fled. She watched a General in green steal a starseed and send it off with a youma while Order scrambled to move the knight it belonged to to safety.

She'd had a bit of a panic, seeing who it was being fought over. Scholomance had saved her once from an aggressive agent. He'd been... different then, though. He'd had an arm, for one. It thankfully didn't take long for a woman in shining pastel colors to arrive with the starseed and disappear into the building sheltering Scholomance. Things got fuzzy at that point, but at long last, the Negaverse began to retreat. Eros sighed, feeling a knight signature flicker to life again. It was all she really needed to know, and with the fight breaking up, she figured there was probably not much more to see, and a good time to make her own retreat.

Sidling back, the short woman slipped around the corner before she turned and set a course between the fleeing signatures she could feel, aiming for open city and a safe place to power down. She'd have to contact Quartz, let him know what happened. She'd at least gotten a good look at everyone, even if she didn't know all the names. It might not satisfy Xenotime, but the captain never complained about how little she could bring him. Thankfully.

Ptolemaeus, DMS of Change

It really was a shame that the Eternal White Moon and the Negaverse Lieutenant seemed so suspicious of each other, but after what each had just been through, Ptolemaeus knew he couldn't blame them. At least neither of them seemed inclined to take any hostile actions toward the other.

The Dark Mirror senshi did manage to catch the look that flitted across Huntite's face as he turned back to him, though, and he lightly swatted the older man, laughing weakly as he quietly jeered, "What are you smirking at?"

In truth, he was almost as surprised that Huntite hadn't assumed Ptolemy's betrayal as he was that Scylla hadn't. They may have known each other as civilians, but that didn't mean Richard understood Kit's beliefs regarding the war and its factions. Or perhaps Richard didn't care whose side Kit was on. Maybe he would have been concerned about him regardless.

It was easier to think without emotional bias and he felt his mind clear as he realized the eternal's magic must have finally run its course. Good thing, too; he wouldn't have wanted Richard to notice. He still wasn't sure what to say about what he was doing there or why Scylla had been treating him. Surely the bearded man must have had questions, but maybe he was too polite to ask just then. Maybe he was waiting for Kit to choose to tell him. Or maybe he just didn't want to know.

"Well, whatever reason you were 'passing by', I'm glad to see you. And I’m glad you don’t seem too badly hurt for the most part.” He did his best to continue grinning and bearing it when Huntite lifted him from the ground, but his features tensed in a slight grimace and a quiet gasp escaped him. The worry and anger in those narrowed, vividly lilac eyes had surprised Ptolemy, since he hadn’t thought the lieutenant had felt deeply enough toward him to express such emotions on his behalf, but he chose not to comment on it in case Richard hadn’t meant for it to be noticed.

“Thank you, Huntite,” he murmured weakly once he thought he could talk without the agony in his foot seeping too much into his voice. The shock of having broken bones and the magic was starting to wear off, making him more aware with each passing moment of just how extensive the damage dealt was. Even so, it wasn’t enough to keep him from cracking a pained smile and muttering, “If you were going to insist on carrying me, though, I wish you’d have picked something other than bridal-style.”
