Sylvia moved over to the Jousting game, no longer able to trust those straw-for-brain Rapidash, but found that her good luck all but dried up when she moved there, her human getting a near embarrassing spot of last place. As annoying as it was to have betted on a loser, however, the Serperior tried not to let that bother her too much and took her two tokens before she moved off to her favorite game-- though it was only her favorite since she was able to eat afterwards. This time she was able to get four berries and, just like before, she wolfed them all down before she slithered away. She was starting to get tired of berries though.

The fair was segmented into quarters with dirt lanes running horizontally and vertically through each quarter with a much larger gravel road cutting lines to separate the different areas away from one another. Emory had stopped to read a sign that indicated where what game could be found, how to play it and was set on a map of the fair ground. Of the games listed, aside from the Rapidash racing and there where two games that caught her eye right off the bat. The first was a cross bow shooting range and the second bobbing for berry's with the option to keep what ever berry's they where able to collect. While she'd never fired a crossbow it couldn't be any harder then a toy gun. It was after all the grandfather of the gun in many ways. The berry bobbing game however posed a challenge all its own. How to get the berry's without getting sopping wet. Emory puzzled over the conundrum for a while as she headed for the crossbow range which was much closer currently.
Once at the rang however a new and all be it expected challenged came up. A safety worker was doing routine maintenance on the crossbow which was tagged as belonging to the lane she had been signed by a ticket. The man wasn'ting pay much attention to the crossbow talking with a buddy rather then his job. Emory tried to wave the man down. "Yeah, give me a second miss." The man said ignoring her all most entirely He didn't even bother to look up at her, his buddy however had. Emory knocked on the heavy wood table holding up her the back of her right hand Im Mute. This time the man turned but ignore her tatoo only taking a glance. "Geese chick give me a second." Standing up the second man came closer. "Hay, dude shes a mute. Cut her some slack." Emory sighed as the much nicer man stepped up to help her. "Shes a wha- Oh crap my bad." The mans apology soothed over any aggravation Emory might have had. No point holding a grudge right. Emory pointd to the dissembled crossbow on the table then to the ticket he'd drawn. the number for the lane was stamped plane to see on the butt of the bow. "She needs a replacement gun, I thought you took care of that already man?" Shortly there after Emoiry had a crossbow and three darts to fire.

What he was given was, in his mind, even better. The musician broke out into the widest of grins when his hand was kissed and a rather clever line was delivered. "With you by my side I imagine I will-- you'll protect me, come thick and thin, won't you Leon?" Now all he needed was his instrument. After a few minutes Apollo found his psaltery, though it was a bit harder considering it wasn't with the usual costumes, and afterwards both he and Leon bought their costumes. "Now what should we do? Sylvia moved back to the Bean Bag Toss, once again showing expertise and skill in the game by managing to get all three bags in the hole-- just what was it with this game that made her so good at it? Maybe it was just luck... An actual smile began to appear on her face--or the best that one of her species could manage--as she moved off to the next game. She didn't know what exactly Apollo could get with all these tokens these humans kept giving her, but she hoped it was something nice.

Scarlett grin grew excited and malicious all at once as he called her threat cute, implying that because he was russian, her boast was invalid. "Oh, ya think that matters?" She laughed. "Neu that's cute." In all honesty Scarlett was just getting a little competitive. Russians were admittedly notorious for being able to hold their own as well, but that still didn't sway Scarlett's opinion that she could drink him under the table. "I'm sure you'll be able to at least keep up longer than most, but I wouldn't depend just on yer heritage love. It's gonna take a lot more than that to out drink me." She smiled smugly. That would be a fun competition to have at some point, she certainly looked forward to it, but for now, they needed to figure out where to go next. Scarlett suggested the racetrack, wherever it might be held, since it would be nice to actually bet on a few races after actually seeing and studying the competitors.
Zak seemed to agree to the idea of holding a betting contest instead of drinking for now, but first Scarlett stopped by another ballcrafter's stand to get a free bright ball. Zak commented on her choice, unsurprisingly, seeming surprised that she was into ball aesthetics. She glanced sidelong in an almost appraising way at him as he hovered over her shoulder–an admittedly nice feeling–to inspect the ball in her hand. "Call me superficial, but I do occasionally enjoy looking at something that appeals to the eye..." Scarlett's lips twitched into a sly smile. "Plus it does help keep track of which pokemon are in which pokeball." She dismissed. "I do have one of those actually." Scarlett spoke up when he mentioned a luxury ball, pulling it out and returning Cypher with it. The ball had served it's purpose long ago, but she never really changed Cypher out of it. Perhaps if she saw something that suited him....
Seeing a sign that pointed to the racetrack, Scarlett directed Zak's attention to it. "Ah, there. That looks like a good bet." She suggested, making her way towards the entryway leading out towards the tourney fields.

".... To be honest ah don' know if I knew yew had an exp share, Ralts," he admitted. He paused, thoughtful. "If ah send Quena with ya, 'n give ya some money, think yew could try'n buy another un 'n give it ta one've thuh pok'mon in the PC?" he asked. Ralts was quiet a moment. "I... believe so. Who do you want me to give it to?" he asked. Jay shook his head, releasing the dedenne and digging some money out. "Don' matter. Whoever yew think it'd benefit most. Taking point on the firing range Emory lined up her first shot taking careful aim. The Crossbow was heavy and pressed into her shoulder as it had to be was uncomfortable to say nothing of the recoil when the trigger was pulled. A sudden push back as the dart was fired at blinding speeds and burring itself into the hay bail who's flank was painted red and white. Her aim left something to be desired but she was at least hitting the target. Some people couldn't even do that much. Emory had to take her time between each shot due to the recoil. The pain from the recoil got worse with each consecutive shot. Tanked Arceus when she'd fired the last of the three dart because now she had a nice big bruise forming it felt like. He shook his head, crawled along the ground a bit, and then fluttered his wings to fly up-- and land on Tye's head. The milotic seemed a bit surprised at this, looking up at the Dustox, speechless. "Y-you! You! Get down from there!" Chansey demanded, turning a bit red-- or rather, a deeper purple-- in the face as she glared up at the bug pokemon.

Apollo chuckled gently when Leon kept the act, playing out the role of a knight rather nicely. The 'king' plucked the strings of his instrument experimentally, pleased that it was in actual working condition and well-tuned, as they paid for their costumes, freeing them up once more. He quirked an eyebrow good naturedly when Leon suggested they ride off on Kai, who seemed on board with the idea, then laughed once more. "He does appear to be a very trustworthy and stalwart steed, I imagine he makes for a great companion when on the battle field." Apollo adjusted his crown once more before he looked down at his own pokemon, Kahn who kept close in an attempt to stay out of the way of the various other people and pokemon who were out, and Pearl and her friend. The two had found a play toy in Apollo's cape, batting it back and forth between them. Sylvia was still out and about, playing games, and was easy to find-- her new form was benefitting both of them.
"Alright, let's start moving then." Taking to Leon's suggestion Apollo stepped forward to begin looking around, his eyes passing over the vendors placed throughout the entrance. Some sold food, others jewelry, though all of it kept with the medieval theme. "If you see something that catches your eye, tell me," he commented. "Or, if you get hungry. A king as generous as I has no qualms against feeding his loyal knight." In other words, the food was on him.
Sylvia was just a tad disappointed when she withdraw from the plate game, having only managed to smash two out of the three plates. It was better than nothing, however, and at the very least she had gotten a satisfactory amount of tokens. Now, onto the next game! As usual Sylvia did fairly well for herself and with her head held high she collected her seven tokens before she moved on. This attempt hadn't gone as well as her last, but she'd still done well enough for herself.
