Aeleas [Dagger]
Location: D3

Aeleas swallowed and gave a little nod at Lyndin’s words, moving to follow Fae-Fae. Everyone else seemed to already be grouped up, and for a moment, she felt very lost, and very alone. But after a moment, she noticed a head of long blonde hair and paused. “...Starlight?”

The sight of the knight made her feel able to breathe again. Sure they hadn’t gotten off to the best of starts...but she knew him. She could gather strength from that. It was something that grounded her. And the fact that he looked nervous too was helpful. “It is all right, Starlight! Commodore Lyndin has never failed anything! We are ready. And you are not alone!”

She hesitated and held her hand out to him, giving a smile. She could give comfort too. No problem at all.

Eternal Sailor Lepus

Location: E3

While the family squabble was going on, Lepus kinda distantly thought about how someone (not her) needed to develop a google translate-equivalent app for the senshi phones, so she didn’t have to use her normal cellphone for that. Well, even without understanding, she got the hint that Charybdis was proooobably in trouble? Well, Lepus was no lawyer, but she was good at causing trouble and distractions- if Charybdis needed bailing out, she only need say the word!

Speaking of distractions, Pollux was asking if any of them had a plan if things went south, and Lepus was about to open her mouth to say that yes, she had a plan, and it was to distract the enemy with her magic (and maybe punch some things if needed), when not one, but three familiar faces appeared. Not only had Aomori belatedly shown up, but the Leporis twins as well? Wow, and it wasn’t even Lepus’ birthday! Sure, there was still unresolved tension between one set of twins, and then she had gone and traumatized one of the sisters from the other set of twins, but hey! Reunion!

“Wow, the gang’s all here!” Lepus remarked, as if they weren’t in the middle of a battlefield where all hell was about to most likely break loose, “Alpha, Beta, it’s great to see you two again. Aomori, glad to see you could make it, my faithful apprentice!”

Right, some kind of introductions were in order, again.

“Aomori, Hokkaido, these are Alpha and Beta Leporis- twin senshi from the same constellation as myself, and good friends of mine. Alpha, Beta, these are Chibi Aomori of zashiki-warashi, and her twin sister, Chibi Hokkaido of baku.”

Two sets of twins in one place, what’re the odds?

Sailor Amaterasu, Chibi Senshi of the Sunrise
Location:
B4
Amaterasu still didn't really know what was going on but it sounded like a fight was about to happen so she decided to stay by one of the large generators. She felt two very strong adults there. "Hi I don't really know whats going on can I stay here?" She requested of the two grown-ups "My name's Amaterasu, Senshi of the Sunrise. I have healing magic." She offered.

Sailor Minkowski
Location: E6

Minkowski was relieved to know that she wouldn’t be a bother by joining the teen, Anser, though as to if she would ultimately drag the other girl down with her uselessness was yet to be seen. To have Anser refer to her as a friend to a pair of knights, when they had only just met, was a very surprising thing for the young woman to hear, as she followed after the younger girl. Friend… when was the last time she had attempted to befriend other senshi? Minkowski was pretty certain all of the acquaintances she had made when she was younger had long since (understandably) forgotten all about her, if they were even still around…

“It’s nice to meet you…” she politely told Aokigahara, “I’m Minkowski, Senshi of butterflies. I, ah… I have healing magic- I can only heal small amounts, but I hope… I hope it won’t be needed.”

Oh, who was she kidding? People were definitely most likely to get hurt, but Minkowski could only hope she could be of some help.

Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos
Location:
C2

Hyperborea looked over at the machines as she listened to the concerns of Delphi and Læraðr, she definitely understood their concerns, she herself shared many of them. Yet this was too important to ignore, the prize too great to not take the chance. "I hear you all, and I agree but we have to see this through. Just stay alert stay ready and watch each other's back." She advised her team.

"I don't know if this will completely end the war, I hope so but it honestly seems too impossible at least to achieve in one strike. But at the very least this should weaken Chaos immensely if successful." She looked at a cadet who was nearby. "If it comes down to it and things get horrible I agree we should flee it's most important to live to fight another day. But there are children and newer fighters who we need to make sure escape first." She replied in a whisper to Delphi. "But don't worry we've got two royals, plus I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well if things get desperate." She said to her teammates as she took up a battle stance.

Squire Aogashima of Cosmos

Location: F3

What a coincidence (and a very nice surprise), to find that the alien she had joined up with was no other than her new friend, Valnyr! Aogashima beamed happily, and would have embraced the other woman in a hug if her hands weren’t full carrying her weapon, which. She still had no clue what it did, mostly.

“Valnyr! It’s so good to see you again!” Aogashima said cheerfully, “I’m doing great! I mean, my sister is still being really bossy and stuff, but that’s just how she always is.”

Tochi could probably rant all day about her sibling quarrels with her sister, but maybe it was better to save that for some other time?

“I hope you can come with me to my Wonder again after this is over- I’d really like to sing for you!”

Hania, Mauvian [X]
Location: B6

Hania had been on top of Morgan's shoulders during the talking, glad that the trio ere sticking together. He didn't say much, rather his ears were swerving around as he took in all of the conversations and his attention more on trying to keep alert to any surprise attacks before the plan starts. However her turned his eyes back to the trio at the pet and gave Morgan an affectionate bunt. "Yes, please stick together and watch each others backs, I'm not sure I will be much help." When they moved over to one of the machines where a Squire(Imbrium) was he gave a nod in greeting.

Erebus, Saturn Knight [X]
Location: B4

The message had arrived when he had been out already but far enough away for the Knight that he had time to catch the plan and then they were told to get ready. Since they were moving into position, he looked around to see where it seemed like they might need another hand only for his eyes to land on Metis standing there with another Knight (Asphodel). He moved over to them and gave his cousin a small smile and a greeting to them both.

Starlight looked up at the girl, confused at first but he relaxed a bit when he recognized her. There were so many people out here and he knew he didn't fit in but he couldn't find the people he was looking for.

Whisler and Newgrange had to be here, right? Was it wrong of him to power up? Should he leave--go home?

She was holding her hand out to him, and for whatever reason, he took it.

"Yeah? That must be reassuring to have someone like that," he said with a little bit of a nervous laugh. "I've never been at anything like this, it's kind of...I mean, you know. I don't know what's going on."

He didn't say he was scared, but.

He was.

They spread out. They waited. For a minute, nothing happened.

And then, Chaos.

At first, only one arrived:

Guine
Corrupted Eternal Super Sailor Kamacite
HP: 200/200
Location: B6

A corrupted Super Senshi suddenly appeared in the blink of an eye, near the hexagonal machine at the top of the hill. Long, sunset bright robes hung over his unimpressive figure, over his shoulders, arms, and back, concealing the black wings that were typically associated with Eternals.

The medallion seemed to be working. Instead of an Eternal Senshi, everyone in the vicinity would only feel the strength of a Super Senshi.

A Corrupted Super Senshi whose hair had been cut short. Usually known for their extremely long hair, his had been pulled up into a half braided ponytail and fell down to just above his shoulders.

He could feel the eyes turning towards him. He could sense their curiosity, their dread upon seeing and feeling undeniable proof that something was wrong.

But it was too late.

Kamacite waited just long enough for as many inquisitive eyes to turn his way as he thought was reasonable, before he quickly held his hand in the air above him and muttered, “Shock breakout.”

Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: Shock Breakout
There is a brilliant flash of light causing temporary but immediate disorientation and blindness that fades into horribly spotty vision; can last upwards of forty-five seconds.

In addition to the previous issues (devices with an electrical or magnetized charge (street lights, phones, cameras, etc) suddenly do not work during the duration of the attack - there have been cases of street light bulbs bursting from the electromagnetic surge), the heat of the flash causes the sensation of moderate to severe burns, as well as the sensation of clothing and armor being heated to uncomfortable levels.

There is also biochemical damage caused by the electromagnetic surge in the form of nausea, dizziness, headaches, and/or a decreased level of consciousness depending on the opponent. The potential for actual sunburns or lasting physical or biochemical damage is up to player discretion and, if desired, may require extended time to heal.

Has an effect radius of 12 feet (although the flash can be seen as one would see any flash), and can be used once, twice as a last resort.

Quote:
Engraved Medallion - An antique medallion with some strange, foreign symbols scrawled on the back.
The magic can only be activated and used on the owner of the medallion. The medallion allows the wearer to suppress their own energy signature by one level for up to three hours a day. First stage characters will feel like civilians; while this item has little effect on Mauvians in their cat form, it will suppress their energy signature as if they were a human civilian if activated while they are in their humanoid form. Youma will have the energy signature of a human civilian.

And then, a few:

Strickenized
General Youma Faustite (with Eternal Super Kamacite)
HP: 200/200
Location: B6

It was Eion that waited behind a building — waited until he saw the lightning-flash brilliance of his friend's attack cut a slab of noonday white against the ground near him. Waited until a brace of floodlights burst, their glass hailing staccato onto the pavement. The youth drew in a breath —

and Faustite exhaled a length of smoke that curled toward the sky. He donned the Rugose Pendant and blinked out of sight.

It was a creature of fire, terrible and bright, that appeared in the area near the corrupted Super Senshi. While human shaped and wreathed with curling fire, it was missing half its face, as if cut clean through horizontally. The rest of its face smiled something promising and private. The thing, dripping liquid flame, pulsed a wave of hungry, licking, searing fire over all in its vicinity.

"How terrible the stars are," it muttered as it joined the corrupted Super Senshi's (Kamacite's) side.

Quote:
Rugose Pendant - A blackened, wrinkled rock set into a silver pendant with an indigo glow trapped inside. It can be found discarded in Negaspace or the Rift. To use the item, an agent or Negaverse senshi must energy drain the rock. Once drained, the rock will crack and disintegrate. The rock's violet light will then envelop the user, cloaking them in the appearance of a youma. A youma aura will overwhelm the user's natural aura, though it will not disguise their aura. Their youma appearance must adhere to youma guidelines for personal or player youma. The user does not gain any special abilities while under the effects of the item, and their current abilities are not typically hampered by the item. The Rugose Pendant's effects last until the character powers down or until 3 hours have passed, whichever is sooner. The Pendant may be used once a day.

Noir Songbird
General Ashanite
HP: 200
Location: F4

If there was one thing Ashanite enjoyed, it was getting to put on a show. And there was nothing quite like a show no one was anticipating--at least when the Negaverse was the ones putting it on.

He waited, of course, long enough for Kamacite to go in first, but it was with a smug grin that he appeared, and spun his weapon in a wide circle, inky blackness trailing after the blade. As he slammed it into the ground next to him, he grinned, broadly and a little madly. This was his ideal element--shock, awe, and horror--and plenty of their enemies would be already be shocked and awed by Kamacite’s magic. It was up to the rest of them to provide the horror.

“My, my,” he said, “looks like it’s a party.”

Guine and Sunshine Alouette
General Aquamarine
HP: 200
Location: F2

He liked to think they thought themselves safe. He liked to think they were hopeful, all those people there on the hill, with their plans and their plots and their eagerness. Maybe some had their doubts, their fatalistic expectations, but even they could not possibly predict what was in store for them.

Once Kamacite’s blinding light had done its work, Aquamarine flickered into view. His dark cape fluttered on the cold breeze, but his hair, so often worn loose, had been fastened out of his face, and his rapier was drawn. He was prepared for battle.

A smirk twitched onto his face. He shared a half second of eye contact with Jet, their thoughts linked by a pair of earrings split between them. Aquamarine would like the time to gloat, to savor the surprise, to gaze upon their enemies and relish their shock, but that would have to come later. For now, there was work to be done.

Before any of their enemies could do more than gasp or curse as the realization sunk in, Aquamarine attacked. The thin blade of his rapier split through the air — and with it, a bright, startling burst of scorching flames.

Quote:
Forgotten Spell - A burst of fire that causes the sensation of burning, and occasionally (upon a player’s choice) physical burns (severity up to the player’s discretion). Otherwise it leaves no wounds behind, just patchy layers of ash. The spell can only affect a single target within a radius of 20 feet, and can be used 3 times.

General Jet
HP: 200/200
Location: F2

Weeks of preparation brought them to this moment. After learning about their otherworldly guests, Jet couldn’t help but wonder how everything was going to play out. But a surprise attack on the White Moon seemed fitting. They could only hope that the energy and starseeds they’d collected were enough.

He hadn’t bothered pinning his curls back as Aquamarine had, not needing to do so to keep them out of his eyes, but he did have his weapon already in his hand.

They waited as instructed for Kamacite to use his magic, and then he teleported in behind Aquamarine. He made sure to stay out of the way of his fire magic, not envying those who might see the receiving end of that fireball. Instead, he swung wide with his dual blades at those who hadn’t been scorched.

Quote:
Weapon Magic: Jet’s weapon temporarily "petrifies" eight inches around the area the blade cuts. Lasts up to fifteen seconds. The petrified area becomes hard and heavy, but within those fifteen seconds, it can't be cut again. The victim will also not bleed or feel pain from the wound while the petrification lasts.

Guine and Kyuseisha no Hikari
Captain Bloodstone
HP: 175/175
Location: F6

Bloodstone, always ready for a fight, appeared at his specified generator with General Lopezite. His weapon was already in hand, although he didn’t necessarily need it to do some lasting damage. Still, he swung the weapon at the first enemy he set his eyes on, allowing Lopezite to take care of the other half with his giant scimitar.

They were there to do a job, and despite being a Captain, he’d been one of the few Captains chosen above even other Generals to take on this mission. He did not intend to let their Queen down.

General Lopezite
HP: 200/200
Location: F6

Lopezite had known there was a plan, he just didn’t know what the plan was, until a few minutes before they were expected to enact it. But, he’d been ready for it. He hadn’t needed any time to prepare himself; he had been trusted with a job and he was going to see it through: claim this generator and protect it, and subdue whoever he could in the process.

It was a task he was grateful that he didn’t have to carry out alone; he had only really spent time with Bloodstone once before but it was enough that he knew he could be relied on--and if he had been chosen for this mission, he knew he wasn’t the only one who had come to that conclusion.

Mindful only to avoid hitting Bloodstone with his oversized sword, he put his full effort into subduing the forces of Order that had already gathered around the generator.

Shiningamisgirl and MoonKitsune
Captain Prehnite
HP: 175/175
Location: B2

Saw sunlights crest that ate the sky, that lit the world with daylight spread twice over, and vanished through the void in tandem. Grim steplock with a beast at his side; his weapons readily flashed in hand, steel that glimmered green and purple from the hilt.

Prehnite leveled a look at Wolframite, thin lips sewn in a stern line, a silent nod at the other. Briefest of acknowledgements before he was moving. Blade from his right thrown into the pack like a dart - aimless - and it mattered little if it hit - he would scatter the herd as a whole and let the stragglers be picked off by the wolf.

If they could keep them busy for long enough --- Keep them so busy saving each other, that they wouldn’t have time enough to think of anything else? The thought made him smile, the slightest crease at the corners of his mouth.

Serrated silver gripped in his left hand poised to strike–

Quote:
Weapon Magic: Contact with Prehnite's daggers produces mild effects of Dieffenbachia poisoning for 15 seconds - causes itching, burning, inflammation of the wound, and nausea. However, these effects are only applied the first time an individual is struck in a single battle.

Wolframite
HP: 175/175
Location: B2

He smiled to Prehnite, both aware of their game plan and their shared responsibility to one another. As Captains, they weren’t at the power of Generals, but together they could watch out for each other and be a deadly force between them. He’d be sure to stick close to the other to keep themselves from getting swarmed too badly and with each other at their back, they could attack without as much worry as if they were alone in a herd.

Grinning, he arrived with the other as he licked his claws before rushing in with the other Captain, swinging his claws out wide.

MoonKit
[Wolframite’s ✧✧Youma Abilities: ✧✧

✧Rake: Wolframite’s arms are two large paws with long claws. These will act to rip and tear at enemies. No bells and whistles to it. Sharp, large, and deadly.

✧Bite Worse than Bark: Wolframite has glands in his mouth that allows him to produce poison. With this, he can lick his claws and pass on the effect. When cut, the wound burns like hot acid and the effect continues, causing a searing hot pain through the point of contact. The intensity varies on the rank of Wolframite at the time and the rank of the enemy.

Indigo_Plateau and stari_maga
Names: General Sylvite, General Rakovanite
HP: 200/200, 200/200
Location: D6

There were only moments between briefing and dismissal.

He had his questions and concerns, though none were so pertinent that they merited voicing in this instant. Anything more than quiet obedience would just be a distraction.

Rakovanite would not insult his companion’s ability by saying that ’It would be okay.’ Sylvite was more versed in these operations than he was. She had no need for his reassurance and was probably the more optimistic between them, besides. He found himself seeking her, anyway. A flutter of a touch: two gloves fingers against her shoulder for solidarity, and he could practically feel her bubbling anticipation, confirmed at her whisper of, “We got this.”

Before his finger skated down her arm to catch her hand in his, and they teleported together to guard their objective.

An instant before their feet touched earth, Rakovanite pulled his weapons to him. One held in his own hand, the other flicked up toward the sky, caught in Sylvite’s deft fingers as she whirled to stand at his back. They landed in the grass, next to their generator. He didn’t doubt her proficiency with her blades, but this at least allowed for any distance they could keep between themselves and the enemy.

Rakovanite whipped out the chakram he held in his hand, sending it arcing in a semicircle of faintly glowing dusky colors in front of him as Sylvite did the same at his rear, scathing anyone that had the misfortune of being too close.

SSBrosB and Sleet Tempest Snape
General Arsenopyrite
HP: 200/200
Location: B4

There was barely enough time to blink in-between registering what they had been told in the meeting and then teleporting out of there. At least he had summoned his weapon as soon as he heard they were to fight. He had paired with Benitoite, something that gave him a bit more confidence. With fighting whatever Order was there AND whatever aliens were there as well, it would be a much larger fight than they were anticipating. Still, they had numbers on their side as well, and he was confident that they wouldn’t be killed at least.

When they teleported he quickly noticed that there was something behind him, what they were to protect he assumed as they were lead by Beni teleporting them to where they were, and he immediately lashed out with his Horseman’s pick, making sure there was some distance in between him and whomever may have been unfortunate enough to be standing within distance of his weapon. For a moment he wondered if he should have called Ödön to monitor from above, but considering he had no idea what the alien weapons would do, and he felt the presence of a Royal, he couldn’t risk letting the Youma come.

He muttered to Beni when he was able “Looks like they have quite the support here.”

General Benitoite
HP: 200/200
Location: B4

The bright flash of Kamacite had gone off and then they were in - among the opposition. So many gathered and all thinking they stood a chance. His weapon was summoned as soon as he’d arrived, swinging out wide in an arch to clear a path, if need be.

“Indeed, it does look like such a large gathering - and all for us.” Pressing a hand to his chest the General held his weapon tight, and kept it pointed in the direction of those who were “It’s a shame we’re here to ruin things.” Smiling, the petite General kept his gaze on the senshi and knights gathered, taking a moment to consider the alien figures sprinkled amongst them, interesting to say the least. He would have more interest in them if they were not the enemy. Ashen blond hair had been tied back in preparation of battle, he’d swept his bangs back and with a bobby pin on either side he was keeping them from his face, he did not need his hair in his face. This wasn’t the usual battle where he knew what to expect, this involved aliens, and so he was making sure he was ready and nothing would get in his way.

Quote:
Magic: Wherever Benitoite's spear cuts/slashes/stabs it will leave a very cold or chilly sensation that will last for five seconds before fading/warming up. If the other player wants lingering feelings they can go for it.

Enchantment: An ice "arrow" that looks like it's made of ivy vines twined about, the leaves making up the arrow point. With a 20 foot radius and three uses. The arrow upon impact would "shatter" and leave the area feeling frozen for upwards of 30 seconds with the feeling fading, with some lingering residual cold feelings for longer - up to the player. This attack doesn't care whether the person is wearing anything or nothing at all - they will feel the effects no matter what if they are hit.

And then, an army.

They arrived in a rush, speckled throughout the field with alarming precision.

And, because that wasn’t enough, three General Sovereigns and a Queen appeared just outside of the perimeter.

Caedus’ eyes flashed in obvious alarm and fear visibly gripped him, but before he could say anything, Commodore Lyndin’s voice boomed loudly to the Vanguard: “Protect the machines. The Negaverse isn’t here to hurt you.

Caedus spun to look, thinking surely he misheard. “Lyndin--”

He was interrupted immediately as Lyndin continued, “The Negaverse is not our concern. Do not attack them. The generators must be protected.”

Lyndin wouldn’t look at Caedus; his hand was clenched tightly at his side. His shoulders were squared and his jaw was set.

Caedus’ mouth was dry, and for all the times he’d deferred to Lyndin, trusted Lyndin, he did not quite understand right now. “We have to attack them,” he protested, “There is more than we thought.”

Only now did Lyndin look down at him. He was unreadable but his gauntlet clenched at his side.

He had no doubt that the Vanguard would comply--He was their leader, after all.

Caedus could never understand.

The burden of leadership, even now, still fell on Lyndin’s shoulders.

“If anyone gets in our way, stop them,” he commanded. “Even the White Moon.”

A Spreadsheet has been made available for a more visual representation of character location. Please do not edit the grid sizes or change font. You can use this to post where your character is going. Players do not have to utilize this resource, but the spreadsheet will be updated with the most recent location posted for a character by a staff member at the time of the next mule post.

The Negaverse has arrived, and it seems like they’re a lot more prepared for this than anyone expected. Anyone except for Lyndin and the Commanders, maybe, but even Lyndin seems uncomfortable right now. Earlier in the evening, Queen Laurelite sent an emergency message out on the tablet to all members of the Negaverse to give a brief detail of their plans: they were coordinating a large-scale attack on the Senshi and all available fighters were going to be summoned to take them on. As soon as the machine was turned on, Laurelite gathered her troops. Special, trusted agents have been tasked with protecting the generators, but everyone else has been tasked with subduing Order and keeping them from leaving. She has made one, strange request: Do not attack the aliens unless they attack you first. The destruction of Order is their immediate priority.

With the arrival of the Negaverse, the Generators have sparked to life.

This isn’t going to be as easy as everyone thought.

Vanguardians: It is your choice who to follow. This sudden change in plan may leave you confused, or you may trust Lyndin wholeheartedly. There is no wrong way to play your character right now; you may have become sympathetic to Order and question the decision to attack them. You may feel conflicted because you don’t understand. You may fully support whatever commands you are given because you know Lyndin has never let you down before.

Order: This is undeniably alarming. You can attack anyone you need to, but knowing that Lyndin doesn’t seem that surprised with the Negaverse right now, maybe you should consider that those machines probably aren’t going to do what you think they’re going to do.

Negaverse: Laurelite has given you specific instructions to subdue Order. You are only to kill if you absolutely must. Do not attack the aliens unless they attack you first. You must help protect the generators and keep Order engaged for as long as you can.

All Other Factions: Civilians should not be involved in this battle, and the Dark Mirror Court has not been invited and should feel repelled from the area. The shop will not be hosting an ORP or event for the Dark Mirror Senshi at this point in time; we do not want to ask players to divide their attention between multiple posts. However, the Dark Mirror Senshi will have an ORP at a later point in time that will tie into the events of this meta. If anyone has a meta character or a rare character that does not fit into standard factions, please contact The Space Cauldron and we will work with you!

Small Generators have 250 HP (F4)
Large Generators have 400 HP (B2, B4, B6, D6, F2, F6)

If your character was in a square with a generator you automatically take 5 damage from the surprise attack!

The next prompt will be posted in ~48 hours. Order Characters can join at any point in time but it must be handwaved that they have been here since before the Negaverse arrived. No one can arrive late ICly or leave as of this prompt; Queen Laurelite is in the Northeast corner blocking exit, General Queen Hessonite is in the Southeast corner, General King Axinite is in the Southwest corner, General King Lepidolite is in the Northwest corner, and. Engaging these characters is ill-advised; they are very powerful and seem to only be there to hold the line for the time being. They are indicated on the map with a starseed of accommodating color that also showcases their range.

There is no penalty for not responding to this prompt, however you will not be able to make up for missed rolls.

When you are posting your character, you must use the following code at the top of your post if responding to this prompt:

Character name, rank, and a link to their journal (Vanguardian Cadets do not need to post a link)
HP: First stage characters, PC Youma, and Cat/Humanoid Mauvians have 50 HP, Second stage characters and Mauvian Senshi have 75 HP, Third stage characters have 100 HP and Fourth stage characters have 150 HP. If you were contacted via PM about a special Negaverse role, please use the HP and damage information from the PM. Once a character reaches 0 HP they pass out.
Action: Please summarize whatever action you are doing; if you are attacking a specific target, please indicate that here. You must be in the same square as someone/something to attack them and can only move two squares at a time per round (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, or a mix). Teleportation is not permitted.
Damage When calculating damage: roll the base dice, add rank bonus, add faction bonus, add accessory bonus.
Location: Include which grid square they are moving to. You can move to any square at this point in time, however column 1 and 7, and row A and G are being guarded by General Sovereigns securing the perimeter. It is unwise to engage, but not impossible.

Rolling for Damage:

Each character can roll to do damage once per prompt. If you miss a roll, you cannot make it up. If you have a special IC RP Item, like an Article of Resilience or an Article of Power, please factor these into damage done and taken and note this in your posts.

To roll for damage, all characters will roll one ten sided dice.

    RANK BONUSES:
Mauvians in their Cat Form: No Bonus
First Stage Characters, Vanguardian Cadets, Humanoid Mauvians: + 3 damage
Second Stage Characters, Mauvian Senshi, PC Youma: +5 damage
      Third Stage Characters: +7 damage
Fourth Stage Characters + 10 damage

    FACTION BONUSES:
Mauvians: +5 damage to a target when using laser; can only use laser once. Mauvian Senshi should use Super Senshi magic rules if casting their magic.
Negaverse Agents: Lieutenants +3 damage, Captains +4 damage, Generals +5 damage, General Sovereigns +6 damage
Half-Youma: Lieutenants +3 damage, Captains +4 damage, Generals +5 damage
Half-Youma Magic: Lieutenants can use magic bonuses once, Captains twice, and Generals three times; offensive magic, buffs, and debuffs give +5 damage to a roll for themselves or an ally in the same square, healing magic heals 10 HP from one target in the same square, and shield magic deflects five damage from two targets in the same square. This bonus does not stack on top of standard non-magic bonuses. Do not roll dice if healing or shielding; these effects are automatic and you cannot attack in the same round as you are healing or shielding. Captains and above can use their half-youma magic multiple times in the same post but it must be on different targets. Some Half-Youma have two magical abilities; the number of uses is split between the two.
      Youma: +4 damage
Youma Magic: Youma can use magic bonuses three times; offensive magic, buffs, and debuffs give +5 damage to a roll for themselves or an ally in the same square, healing magic heals 10 HP from one target in the same square, and shield magic deflects five damage from two targets in the same square. This bonus does not stack on top of standard non-magic bonuses. Do not roll dice if healing or shielding; these effects are automatic and you cannot attack in the same round as you are healing or shielding. Youma can use their magic multiple times in the same post but it must be on different targets. Some Youma have two magical abilities; the number of uses is split between the two.
Knights: Pages +1 damage, Squires +2 damage, Knights +3 damage, Royal Knights +4 damage
Knight Magic: Squires can use magic bonuses twice, Knights three times, and Royal Knights five times; offensive magic, buffs, and debuffs give +5 damage to a roll for themselves or an ally in the same square, healing magic heals 5 HP from one target in the same square, and shield magic deflects five damage from one target in the same square. This bonus does not stack on top of standard Knight bonuses. Do not roll dice if healing or shielding; these effects are automatic and you cannot attack in the same round as you are healing or shielding. However, you can heal or shield multiple times (or for multiple targets) per round until your magic is exhausted. Healing or shielding two targets at once is considered two uses of magic, even if used at the same time.
Senshi Magic: Basic Magic has three uses, Super Magic has two uses, Eternal Magic has one use, Royal Magic has one use.
Healing Magic: +5 HP to one target when using basic magic, +10 HP to one target when using super magic, +15 HP to one target when using eternal magic, +15HP to everyone in the same square, and all adjacent squares, when using Royal magic. Do not roll the dice if using healing magic; you cannot attack and heal in the same round. However, you can use healing magic multiple times per round until your magic is exhausted. This can be done in the same post or different posts. Healing magic can revive an unconscious target; healing magic cannot heal someone beyond max rank health.
Shield Magic: - 5 damage to one target in the same square when using basic magic, - 5 damage to two allies in the same square when using super magic, - 10 damage to three allies in the same square when using eternal magic, - 15 damage to everyone in the same square, and all adjacent squares, when using Royal magic. Do not roll the dice if using shielding magic; you cannot attack and shield in the same round. However, you can shield multiple times per round until your magic is exhausted. This can be done in the same post or different posts. Shield magic can negate previous damage from this round OR prevent future damage done during this round.
Damage/Buff/Debuff Magic: +2 damage to one target in the same square when using basic magic, +3 damage to one target in the same square when using super magic, +4 damage to one target in the same square when using eternal magic, +15 damage to all targets in the same square, and all adjacent squares, when using Royal magic.

A Spreadsheet with this same information has been organized to help calculate damage; if you have any questions, please reach out to The Space Cauldron or ask in the event-planning Discord channel and we can help!

The Negaverse has been instructed not to summon youma; they need to maintain organization and youma would clutter the battlefield and the strange energy waves in the area have distorted youma control and Negaverse teleportation. Only PC youma capable of handling complex instructions may be used in this battle. They have been told not to bring starseeds or energy orbs due to the unpredictable nature of the energy in the area.

If you are interacting with any NPCs or examining the environment, please quote The Space Cauldron!

Please do not reserve posts in this thread to backfill later! We are doing our best to be transparent about post and run time so players can plan ahead. If you reserve a post, you must fill it out as soon as possible. We understand accidents may happen or things may pop up, but we are asking players to be considerate of each other and only post when they are able to write something along with it! Posts can be as short as one sentence if need be but should clearly detail what your character is doing or saying.

Cadet Nessaela
HP: 50 HP
Action: Standing in disbelief - making a split decision to back ORDER.
Damage When calculating damage: roll the base dice, add rank bonus, add faction bonus, add accessory bonus.
Location: C5

The blinding flash had been bad enough on Nessaela's eyes. When the spots finally cleared though she could see that the enemy had arrived among the group. It seemed as though they had been notified somehow about the exact setup that was being used. But only the Commanders and the Commodore knew how things were going to be set up. Did that mean that someone betrayed the Vanguard?

What, wait, wait. Lyndin and Caedus were arguing. Their king and their Vanguardian Leader. And then that awful edict came from Lyndin's throat, "Protect the generators,"

What?

Nessaela was very confused. Wasn't the mission to destroy the negaverse? Why then was the Commodore instructing them to now protect the generators even at the cost of stopping the White Moon. Those that they had chosen to ally with? Her fingers shook. Her dagger was clenched tightly in her hand again as she turned to stare at Eso and Itztenoch. Her face blanched a little as she faced a moral dilemma: Stay true to the Vanguard or disobey a direct order? For weeks they had been told they'd be taking out the Negaverse and destroying chaos. Isn't that what they wanted to do?

Determination faltered for a moment as the realization sunk in that maybe the Commodore had lied to them. "Tenoch, Eso. Follow if you will. I stand with Caedus. He's our King. Kings outrank Commodore's even if they've led our group well. There's something wrong here. How'd the agents know the setup?"

She hoped to seed doubt in their minds - to maybe turn them from Lyndin but she didn't wait for their reply - instead she turned to Oberon and grimaced, "I vow to help you in whatever way possible. My blade, short as it is, is yours to command."

Cadet Caerynn
HP: 45
Action: Staring in shock at Commodore Lyndin and protecting kitties
Damage 1d10 +3
Location: F6

She was so proud. This was to be a glorious moment! This was- This...

This was an awful lot of Chaos, and the Cadet's head swiveled to her Commodore, staring in horror. Protect the machines. The Negaverse isn’t here to hurt you.

Green eyes flicked instinctively to the two cats, the senshi- her fellow cadet. She- she had spent her whole life longing for this. A world, warm sun, soft grass, birds, bees, flowers. She had followed Lyndin, unhesitating.

"I will not let you be hurt," Rynn told Namielle and Realta, "I am sure there is a mistake. There must be... something. Commodore Lyndin surely has a plan. This must... be a trick."

It was desperately said. "Yes." she said aloud, "Commodore Lyndin is just.... summoning the Negaverse here to.... attack it..." But then... what about those who had come? Their allies? Their.... friends... who had welcomed them to Earth with such open arms? "I promise," Rynn repeated, panicked.

She stared at Bloodstone and Lopezite, putting her body between their weapons and the Guardian Cats. "The Commodore says you are not to hurt us." her voice was firm. "I will not allow you to hurt my companions. Put your weapons DOWN, please."

Chibi Super Charybdis
HP: 75
Action: Moved diagonal to F4, attacking generator
Damage When calculating damage: 1d10 + 5 + Magic (note: has a silver whistle, 1 use / day) [8+5+3=16 damage]
Location: E3 - > F4
+2 Damage (3 uses)
Chibi Sailor Attack: Seal Pup!
Charybdis creates what looks to be a baby seal. It is clearly magical. It is very cute, and the soft little squeaks it makes encourage everyone to look at it. And not at Charybdis herself. It is precious and pure. With very big, wet, cute eyes. It can remain in a 10 foot area of where Charybdis cast the ability, flopping aimlessly towards her enemies and making soft little chuffy-whuffy noises. Seal Pup can be used 3 times and it is effing adorable. The seal remains for 20 seconds unless viciously attacked; once attacked, it cries for 5 seconds and vanishes (either at the end of the 5 seconds or at the end of its duration if attacked late). (TL;DR: Look! A Distraction!)

+3 Damage (2 uses)
Chibi Super Sailor Attack: Shiny Pup!
The Seal pup that Charybdis makes, once it has some attention (defined as being within/having eye contact with an enemy within 5 feet, or being within 5 feet of 2+ Chaos agents), essentially turns into a flash-bang; It shines incredibly brightly, the brightness reaching out to a 10-foot radius, and the sweet little whiny orks and grunts it was making as it wriggled closer to the Chaos members turns to a high-pitched shriek that affects anyone in a 5 foot radius. Unfortunate allies may be affected by this, though Charybdis herself will not- it is her escape mechanism! The seal can remain for up to 15 seconds before it goes off; this attack can be used 3 times, and causes no damage. (TL;DR: Look! A small screaming sun!)

She had only just beamed a smile at Ara and bent her head to tell Etoile what her brothers had said. There were more allies coming that Charybdis would be delighted to meet, and then-- and then.

The Negaverse's attack was timed poorly, and distracted Chibi Charybdis from- well. Everything, Etoile was dropped to the ground, the oppressive waves of the General Sovereigns filling the area, and she thought she could vomit from fear.

She stared at Castor with a pale face, and then looked at everyone else. Looked around the area at the big machines, and then one little machine. Giulia was tall, but little, and she stared the Generator down until she recognized the man who stood there. "Ashanite!!!!" his name was a howl. "He tried to KILL me, and now I'm going to kick his butt!"

She was much braver with her big brothers and her best friends nearby, it seemed. Or she responded to fear with aggression? Either way, the little ballerina flung herself at the General and the Generator, flinging out her hand. "SHINY PUP!" she screeched, and a shiny little seal pup dazzled as it began to ork cheerfully around the double-G's.

Name: Commander Cydfae
HP: 100
Action: Defending the Generator
Damage: ---
Location: D6

Cydfae acted instantly. She was not visibly surprised by the chaos attacking. Quite the contrary, she closed in on the generator and drew her weapon. She knew her orders. Protect the generators. Protect her people. Protect her commodore.

“I have my orders,” she warned. “And I will follow them.”

”Guine”

---

Name: Squire Lourdes
HP: 75
Action: Asking who is going to attack the generator in D6
Damage: ---
Location: D5

She knew it.

The second she felt that sparking along her nerves and tasted the rancid stink of chaos on her mouth she knew she had been right all along. And that this Lyndin -- this traitor -- seemed to be in on it. Later, when this was all over and they had all soundly and swiftly beaten both the negaverse and the aliens back into submission and where they had come from, Lourdes would tell Scylla that she had told her so.

But now was not the time. Now, she summoned her weapon and wielded it like a baseball bat.

“I’m not waiting for this thing to warm up and show us what it’s really used for. Who else is coming with me to take one out?”

Name: Page Agrippa
HP: 50
Action: Asking Ganymede what to do.
Damage: ---
Location: E2

Hope fizzled out as Agrippa was accosted on all sides by the horrible feeling of Chaos. She may have cried out, but honestly she wasn’t sure. Almost instinctively, Agrippa drew closer to her princess, unsure if she was looking for protection or seeking to protect. Though she wasn’t totally sure how she was going to protect anyone, what with the uselessness of her weapon. Not for the first time, she cursed the little glass decanter and how defenseless it always left her.

“Wh-what do we do, Ganymede?”

Name: Super Sailor Noctua
HP: 75
Action: Following Benitoite
Damage: ---
Location: B4

Idiots. Fools. Utter and complete imbeciles. Noctua almost felt sorry for them.

Almost.

She slipped up beside Benitoite, ever the loyal acolyte, and chuckled. It was a low, almost musical sound. One that didn’t seem as though it could have, or should have come from the little burnt skeleton beside him.

“What shall we do, sir,” she purred, her hands already itching to dive into someone’s chest. Oh, she knew her orders. To subdue but not to harm. But well… mistakes happen.

Name: Beta Leporis
HP: 50
Action: Shielding Alpha Leporis and others by Generator in F4
Damage: ---
Location: E3 → F4

Chaos.

A feeling that Beta Leporis knew all too well. Her starseed throbbed in her chest as though reacting to the feeling, but she wasn’t certain that it wasn’t psychosomatic. Still, she clutched her fist above the little seed and ground her teeth together. Surprisingly… she didn’t feel helpless this time. Far from it. Something else bubbled and welled up within her, actually.

Anger

She whirled to her sister, meeting her eyes for the first time in a long while.

“You want to make up for leaving me for dead? Twice?”

She didn’t even wait for Alpha’s weak little nod before she pointed to the nearest generator.

“Then help me take that the hell out.”

She also didn’t wait for her sister to follow her before she picked up a stone and readied herself to hurl it. Alpha, she saw, had other plans.

“Shield us Beta, I’ll do the heavy lifting!”

She hadn’t seen the General (Ashanite) too late. She hadn’t been paying attention. She had been so angry. So blind. She had run into the danger that she had demanded her sister protect her from.

“Shield us, Beta. I’ll do the heavy lifting!”

But she was looking out for her. Beta clung to her sister’s voice and called on her magic, forcing the tremor from her voice as she did so.

“Rice Powder, Dust!”

Soundlessly, harmlessly, fine rice powder rose from the earth and shielded her and Alpha. It would be enough. It had to be enough.

Rice Powder, Dust
Beta Leporis calls the name of her attack and instantly a whirlwind begins to whip around her. A moment later, the air begins to grow thick with fine rice powder. This powder conceals her and any other order-aligned allies from by reducing or eliminating the vision of any chaos-aligned opponents. Along with diminished or eliminated visibility, the rice dust also causes irritation in the lungs resulting in coughing if it is breathed in. Order-aligned allies are spared from this effect as well and are able to move around freely. If a chaos-aligned opponent is wearing a mask or something that covers the nose and mouth or if they are wearing goggles they may experience lessened or no effects based on the amount of coverage. For instance, a scarf around the mouth may diminish the effect, but a gas mask will eliminate it altogether. The dust-filled whirlwind has a 15-foot radius and lasts for 30 seconds. Beta Leporis can use this attack three times per battle.

Name: Alpha Leporis
HP: 50
Action: Attacking Generator in F4
Damage: 6 + 3 (Rank) + 2 (Proximity) = 11
Location: E3 → F4

It was all happening so fast. Everything had been going to plan and then…

And then…

Alpha was only shocked to life when her sister whirled on her and demanded, “You want to make up for leaving me for dead? Twice?”

It took Alpha a moment to react, and when she did, Beta had already pointed and was moving away from her.

“Then help me take that the hell out.”

It wasn’t much… but it was an olive branch that Alpha clung to like a lifeline. She sprinted ahead of her sister, all too eager to prove herself and regain what she had lost. And it looked like she would get a chance to prove herself quicker than she had thought.

Or liked.

A general slipped into proximity without either of them noticing right away. And Alpha only realized it when her sister was within striking distance. Alpha panicked, but lucking her voice did the work without her brain.

“Shield us, Beta. I’ll do the heavy lifting!”

Now it was her turn to act without waiting for confirmation.

“Spirit Hare, Conjure!”

Her magic fired from her body, sending the spectral hare launching at the generator and landing with a satisfying sound. She turned to her sister and could swear that she saw a faint smile on her lips. And then she rushed to her sister, standing bodily between her and the general. If she needed to fight, then she’d fight.

I won’t let them take you. Not this time.

Cadet Valnyr - With Blaster (Pew Pew)
HP: 50 HP
Action: Attacking Large Generator
Damage 6 (+3 Rank Bonus) = 9
Location: F3 -> F2

What had he done? Her already pale complexion dimmed further as Lyndin's voiced rippled out across the expanse. Before her very eyes she saw them appear, small in number at first and then an army. No sooner had she glanced over her shoulder than she saw the Negaverse descend on others around her and it didn't take a genius to realise they were outnumbered.

Had Lyndin betrayed them, had he purposefully led them in to a trap? Had all the naysayers who made their protests all too well known been right to doubt them?

Regardless of what his motivations might have been she had heard the stories and the horrors that awaited those they were meant to call their friends. Those they had introduced themselves to, those they had developed bonds with. Those that had showed them absolute kindness and trust (for the most part); and now he expected her to turn her weapon on them and distract them, to cause harm where the Negaverse had already elected to do so?

Something didn't feel right.

Something told her that on this occasion she had to listen to the words of the angered Squire she had run in to previously. They had lied, they had stolen, and if Lyndin believed that he would be listened to by the Negaverse? She could only make her choice based on evidence alone and she was not one for absolute and blind faith.

She knew she wasn't on her own, she was in the company of another cadet, but in those moments she made her choice and ran towards the Large Generator, drawing her blaster to point and fire towards it. She would not betray those who had put their trust in them, she would not bring her own kind into disrepute. What happened if they, by some miracle lost and were at the mercy of an angered White Moon - would their idealists win out against the truly angry who had been silenced for the sake of false hope?

She hoped that the Page and Senshi who had joined her would be capable of at least helping her in bringing the generators down, and if her own comrade decided their loyalty lay with Lyndin... Then she would need assistance in bringing them down too.

Today her loyalty wasn't with Lyndin.

It wasn't with Caedus.

Her loyalty was to her home and what might happen to it depending on who won this fight. She could only hope she had selected those who would regard them with benevolence in the face of this betrayal.
