"Agreed." Did these monsters never stop? Did they have some infinite source they were coming from? Were they just regenerating? He was willing to just blame the whole thing on Chaos but-- "I think I see a way?"
He smacked one of Basiluzzo's and then one of Ran's as he pointed toward where a small crowd was forming. "Just scoot through there?"

Imhotep was not happy to see the change of scenery with the new slime monster, the one that could speak. As a result of his distraction, he barely managed to get a couple hits into the ones in front of him. One went down and one staggered, but the other seemed to leer at him.
The word that slipped from his lips was not a friendly one.

Tikal felt the hit land across her body and it threw her back. It also stole her breath, and she was forced to take gasping breaths for air as she struggled, bruised, to stand. She didn't have time to try and catch her wind. There were already new monsters forming and reaching for her.
As much as she wanted to go after the monster in the center of the action, she was going to have to take care of these first. She was gratified that her next blow nearly took all three of them out.

Yddagen was about to congratulate Neryn when a new threat presented itself. He felt his heart sink, but he levelled his blaster anyway to try and get through the three new little monsters to get at the new big one. "Lysvi is going to make fun of me for not staying put."
...They were also going to make fun of him for his aim. He took down two of them, but one seemed to take it as a glancing blow at most--
Promethei was legitimately considering gathering some of the goop and was even doing so when the one decided to talk and start taunting them. s**t. "Looks like we're dealing with some kind of vengeance plotline. Wonder who pissed in his wheaties?"
Ow.
Apparently the goop minoris didn't appreciate that. He tried swinging back.

"Sounds good to me." Basiluzzo wasted no time and stepped nimbly through the goo on the ground, avoiding puddles of it. He glanced briefly over his shoulder to keep the others' positions in mind, but he didn't waste time.
He put his weight behind the kick to the newest, baddest-looking monster.

Ran debated hanging back, but it took only a moment of thought before he went haranguing off after Basiluzzo. He didn't know the gaggle of them very well yet, even though Viatrix had been the one to awaken him, but he figured that Basiluzzo wasn't foolhardy enough to entirely get himself killed.
Right?
Lucky for Ran, he still knew how to throw a punch--
Encke followed Basiluzzo and Ran to the source Ida was beckoning them to, staring it down in its face and its tentacles. Somehow, wasn't the worst thing he had seen.
"Do you mind!" Viatrix flailed at the remaining blight monster that wanted her attention as she charged after the three men who could move unfairly faster than she could. "At least one of you could carry me!"
That was probably easier to ask when she was a cat.

Imhotep's eyes darted between targets, his elbows and knees lashing out at the monsters closest to himself. As they fell--much to his relief--he went after one of the ones in front of Promethei.

She thought about taking down the last monster in front of her. It was stumbling and straining. She was pretty sure a stiff breeze would blow it over--not that there was much for refreshing wind down here. Gritting her teeth, Tikal pushed past it to focus her efforts on her initial target, throwing all her effort into the attempt.
Beira’s relief was short lived; he’d been glad to reach Rainier, but before he could tell her that he was fine, or even thank her for having his back, that thing was there.
A strange, monstrous beast that lashed out with such force and speed that he’d been helpless to do anything to stop it from colliding with Rainier.
And the little monsters were back.
He offered her a hand to help her up and kept his back angled towards her to prevent any sneak attacks. “Are you all right?” he asked quickly. “I only came when I got your message, what is all of this?”
There wasn’t much time to talk, not when the creatures were surrounding them. When she was on her feet, he lashed out and the nearest ones just to get them a little extra space.
Sailor Fang, Senshi of Chrysocyon HP: was healed in the previous round back to 46, then down to 36 after the tentacle smacked him Damage to Seed: 14
Fang had shuffled a little closer to Kerberos, feeling warm as the magic washed over him, healing him. But then—
He hissed and spat as the tentacle came close and smacked him, groaning under the weight of it before it retreated. Attacking the mini things was useless, he realized, turning his focus to the big thing that had hurt him.
"Slash," he growled again, swiping his hand and watching the pretty purple magic claw strike.
Hati growled as the Blights reappeared. Okay. Well. ******** those, then. He shifted his focus to the tentacle thing, internally recoiling at it. But this thing was operating on video game logic, it seemed, so take down the main guy and all the little guys should disappear.
Dark Mirror Murikabushi HP: 50 - 6 - 18 + 14 = 40 / 50 Physical Damage to Blights:Second d10 for this damage (2 at full HP, one at 1/5 = 11 damage necessary) 5 + 10 = 15 Damage = All Blights Destroyed (+4 bleed-over damage for any blights still attacking Fang, Kerberos, or Quetzalcoatl!)
Magic Damage to Source:First d10 for if he gets this off 10 + 1 = 11 damage to source.
Truly, something about this whole disaster made Reiki wish that Logos had been here. He would have so badly enjoyed shaking that little b***h by the shoulders, gesturing at the utter pandemonium all around them, and shouting “This is why you were ******** WRONG up on Astraya! Literally what the ******** possessed you to think like that!”
And it would’ve been his gay-given right to do so, frankly! All around him, Order senshi, Order knights, Negaverse officers and Negaverse senshi with their tacky little gaping chest wounds and exposed starseeds, Dark Mirrors, senshi like Fang who were Order but also seemed to be from space, and some who seemed like the same sort of aliens that Lysvi had been………were all easily ******** cooperating to take out the Blight-Seed and it’s children, and shockingly?! (Or at least he assumed that it would’ve been a huge shock to Little Miss Can’t-Be-Wrong over there, who had, for all Reiki knew, learned everything she ******** knew about this war from inside a ******** mirror, which would have explained why her knowledge seemed to be about as accurate or useful as Alice Liddell’s nonsense about how doth the little busy bee or whatever.)
But shockingly, nobody down in the fight was acting like they were going to be friends after this (except for some, like Kerberos and Fang, who were already Reiki’s friends).
Too bad being a magical girl didn’t come with a free cure for ADHD, because almost as soon as two new Blight monsters came squelching into existence, Everything in Reiki’s sphere of influence started to Happen So Much. First, there came a very familiar puppy in senshi fuku—“Glad to see you’re okay!” Reiki shot Fang a smile, nearly (but not quite) managing to miss an attack from one of the Blights engaging him. “Hope we all stay that way!”
Weaving around another attack, he looked to Kerberos. “Blossom, Fang. Fang, Eternal Sailor Kerberos; he’ll probably answer to ‘Kerb,’ if it’s easier for you? Blossom, Fang’s the one I messed up on accident before I came and apologiz—”
Which, while an accurate recounting of events and probably a decent enough introduction under other circumstances, was not entirely helpful at this juncture.
On the contrary, the distraction got Reiki swiped at by all three of the Blights he had before him. All of them got in good hits. The one he hadn’t taken out before had already clawed at his stomach, tearing into flesh and fabric as easily as ripping tissue paper. Now, thanks to Reiki paying not nearly enough attention, it swiped at his neck.… ********, that would probably scar, wouldn’t it? One of the others slashed under his skirt, taking a gouge out of his thigh—also likely to scar, he thought, but at least he could cover it up easily enough. If the third left any marks behind, then Reiki likely wouldn’t face any consequences unless someone caught him in a crop-top.
The one on his neck, though……? Eugh, that could end up being quite problematic.
Thankfully, though, Eternal Sparkly Kerberos-chan had healing magic up his sleeve. Reiki sighed in relief as it washed over him, not entirely closing up his wounds from the Blights, but certainly getting him back together so he could rally. “Thanks for that, Blossom,” he called out, right on time to notice the other Dark Mirror who’d come and joined them. Thankfully, Kerberos’s magic had healed her too, but……
“Oh my god,” Reiki couldn’t help himself blurting out. This girl…… Her fuku made her look like some divine monster or other, but <********> she had to be even younger than Rana! And Rana was already more than young enough! “Blossom, no worries about answering now, but? How many literal children are involved in this war, and why doesn’t your sparkly perfect Cosmos-senpai <******** do something about it?”
Not that Cosmos deserved to be called anybody’s senpai if she had anything to do with these <******** kids being here and that “anything” involving any kind of letting literal children fight in a magical girl gang war. ********, between Rana being barely old enough to drive (or seeming that way), this new Dark Mirror girl looking younger than Reiki’s and Haruhi’s baby sisters (respectively barely 18 and 19), and the actual babies he’d seen before—
No.
Reiki shook his head to drag himself back into the moment. The more the Blight spoke, the more pressing it seemed to rally, as hard as he could, and get this s**t over with (as much as he could contribute, at least, which……judging from all the more experienced and more powerful people around here wasn’t actually that much).
He took his Blights down with swift, leggy kicks (thank you a lifetime of dancing, multiple self-defense classes, and experience won as a drag queen and self-appointed Devil of Destiny City’s gayborhood!), then looked to the new girl who’d joined them. “Murikabushi. Senshi of Hunger. Pleasure’s mine.” Pointing at the Order senshi respectively, he told her, “Eternal Kerberos and Sailor Fang. They’re with me. Good guys. Stick with us? Watch each other’s backs and go for the Blight-Seed.”
That’s what Ida had said before, at her meeting about this. Plus, it was where the tentacles seemed to be coming from, and the weird, ominous voice.…… Focusing on it—trying not to let any new-forming Blights distract him, not to let his attention wander to any other potential targets but focus on hitting NO ONE but the Blight Seed—Reiki got out his attack, “Gnawing Hunger!”
He had no idea what his magic would do to the Blight-Seed. Considering its bizarre alien biology, the things it was saying about draining people dry about having been hungry and weak, and how many people were around—considering what he’d done to Kerberos, and Fang, and Captain Phoenix Force of the Negaverse—part of Reiki didn’t want to know. But……he had to do something, and his godawful horror-terror magic was all he had going for him.
Quote:
Extending an arm, Murikabushi bends his wrist back; as he calls the name of his attack, he curls his fingers into a fist, then jerks his hand down as if tugging a cord. Enemies within 10 feet of him begin to feel a powerful hunger or sense of craving, one they feel cannot be sated, and yet, they are compelled to try. This craving can be for anything—food, drink, affection/intimacy, alcohol or narcotics, the answers to the math homework, etc.—but it is quite distracting. This spell lasts for 25 seconds, and Murikabushi can use it three times per battle.
