"My name is D'cund." (Deh-koondt) He shifted his head a bit to look around the room, his gems shifting in their sockets.
"They cannot hear me as we are not surrounded by stone." most of her rock talk went over his head. He had never once thought to study what he was made of, geology was not an intellectual advancement of his era.
"What is this gabbro and what does it mean for me?"
He was pleased that knowledge would be exchanged so freely amongst them, and in his happiness decided to give her a gift, one of his pebbles. It would likely teach her more than he could as far as rocks were concerned. In an effort to keep her hand on him he shifted his other arm around and took from his elbow joint a pebble, about 10 centimeters in diameter, and held it to her.
"Here, if you wish to study these."

"D'cund. That's an interesting name." Isa frowned at the question. It was a tough question to answer, especially since this was a creature that probably didn't understand chemistry, minerology, or earth's rock cycle. How was she supposed to translate all that to a creature who probably didn't understand of earth's science?
"Uhh...this is going to be hard to describe. I don't know how much I can tell you before you start getting confused. In layman's terms? Gabbro is a green to dark colored rock that can be made by magma. Magma is melted rock that has lots of different chemicals. Depending on what chemicals are in the magma, it can make different rocks. Gabbro is a type of magma that cooled down inside earth's crust rather than in ocean crust. Crust is the layer of earth that we stand on. Well maybe not ocean crust, but that's the layer of earth that you would see if you actually went to the depths of the ocean floor.Gabbro is made of different minerals to make a strong rock. Your father chose a good rock base for you."
When the drawing got offered a pebble, she looked ready to hug the creature. "Thanks! Once I get a better look at this, I can tell you more about your physical body. I am curious to see if there are different minerals found in your home world." At that, she actually did give him a hug. When she grabbed his arm again, she asked, "so wait, how in the world were people able to understand you earlier? No offense, but you were a bit difficult to understand when I wasn't touching you."

Sigma chose to speak up at that question. After all he could not sit there quietly not knowing what was going on between the two. As far as he could tell though, they had been discussing...rocks.
Discussing rocks with a rock monster.
"I did a bit of speaking for him, only when he really needed it though." He turned a little in his seat to face the drawing more comfortably.
"His accent is quite bad."
He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth again, and realising they were out closed his mouth. Sigma then just sat there not knowing how to continue this conversation when D'cund began humming again.
"I believe Sigma is about as versed in..." D'cund searched for a word, "socialising as I am." And so D'cund chuckled, which made the sound of two rocks grinding against each other.

Zane crouched low to pick up his dropped eraser and threw it up into the air. He caught it as he straightened up to the sight of the artist elf's creation buzzing around the room in excitement over the rock hominid. He took his eyes off of them before addressing his classmate with a shrug. "Hey man, I'm sorry." He'd only been throwing around ideas. Zane had meant no harm, himself not having enough care for the entire ordeal to consider anything seriously. Little did he know that Alex could easily smite him with his demigod powers under the right circumstances. Possibly.
The other kid had made a point though. It was strange indeed for him to not have been dubbed a mental case at the very start. He'd often be jolted to wakefulness startling and very realistic dreams of worlds he'd never imagine during the day. He'd stopped sharing his experiences with people after he noticing himself starting to get strange looks from classmates. Zane wouldn't have blew up on anyone who did call him crazy, although it probably would have opened up years-old wounds.
Having retrieved his eraser without much hassle, he returned to his desk to find the workbook centered on it. Scowling, he flipped through to the appropriate pages whenever instructed.
He wasn't very sure what to write at all. His phone beeped, alerting him of a text message. Here? Now? Where's the signal coming from? He got an anonymous tip to check his email, and when he went to his inbox and found an equally anonymous email. Fixing his tophat, he sighed and began copying out his set of answers to the profile template.
Zane
Played by: Watervoir Commitment: Hobbyist
Basics Full Name: Zane Vincent Alias: Black Hat Age: 17 Gender: Male Nationality: White; probably American, otherwise hails from a post-apocalyptic city by the name of Valhalla Ethnicity: Human
Concept A boy who'd recently come to learn that his entire existence is a figment of another's imagination. If asked for his most relevant RP world, the answer would be a post-apocalyptic society where a violent game show provides as the bread and circuses for the masses. In this world where the plot is centered around the grand city of Valhalla, Zane is an experienced computer scientist and hacker and is allied with the underground rebel movement.
Appearance Hair: Dyed jet black; his normal hair colour's brown; he has bangs that can cover his eyes if not swept away; the back of his haircut ends off at the shoulders Eyes: Midnight blue Skin: Fair Height: 5'10" Weight: 145 lbs. Build: Slender Distinguishing Features: None. Description: Dresses smartly. A black top hat is his signature accessory. He has an array of prized posessions, among them being: his iPhone, MP3 player, credit card, driver's license, (chain) wallet, ID, (the) top hat, Bicycle cards, and a laptop. He can often be found with a lollipop in his mouth.
He shook off the awkwardness of referring to himself in third person on the worksheet. There was a hasty P.S. at the end that addressed the teacher's extra bit. "Huh... My email tells me to agree with Miss Crush-us-All on the fact that most people take pictures from the Internet. It also says to express agreement that it's nice to have a picture for quick reference." Hell, who did she think she was? He wasn't going to concur with anything solely because of an email prompt. Oddly enough though, he found himself agreeing with the "anon's" sentiments. "A picture does speak a thousand words. It's always better if the player--" He cringed a little at the word. "--draws the picture themselves if possible. Otherwise it's not much different from stealing someone else's OC. In the case of photos, generally speaking, you're stealing someone's picture."
There's also some apologetic note here about my age being out of range... Not sure if I need to mention that though hm...

Isa stared Sigma for a second before chuckling. "You guys are adorable." Awkwardly adorable to be more precise. "It seems like that's something you and my creator have in common. She's not the social butterfly either." The drawing kind of wished Reina was though. I'm not always going to be around to be her social distraction. That was the problem with being self-aware. The picture knew that she'd eventually have to be taken out of the setting and watch the elf figure things out for herself.
She paused to listen to the boy talk about the extra credit a bit. That was a good addition to add, there was always the problem that pictures would get copy righted and then the player could get in trouble for using that image. She'd have spoken up and said so, but the drawing really wasn't supposed to be a part of the class. The monochrome girl supposed she'd have to wait until Reina was acting too much like a frightened mouse before doing anything else.
Reina, meanwhile, was starting to look like the drawing's description waiting for Tombstone to speak up.

Evan looked at the workbook in front of him. Listening intently to what people had to say about pictures, he frowned. Why can't Kyuu make his own drawings more often? Picking up the pencil he began to write in the book, listening to a little voice in the back of his head telling him what to write.

D'cund was the first to speak, "My understanding of 'adorable' must not be as your understanding." He frowned as he thought about it.
It would take a minute or two.
Sigma decided to speak up, his cheeks blackened by his blushing, "I'm not adorable," he put his right hand, his good hand, up to his face to try and cover it up and failed only being able to cover up one side of his face. Then he brought around his other hand to cover up the other side. Realising that he wanted to keep it hidden he quickly put it back on the desk and then gave up entirely, blushing harder.
Naturally, he went about all this as casually as he could.
"Oh what would you know, you're a drawing."
He stuck his tongue out at her. It too was black.

The drawing smiled until Sigma decided to lash out at her. "I know a lot for being a drawing. The minute Reina gets bored with me, I disappear. Can't get wet either or else bad things happen. I'm only a figment of her imagination and a representative of someone that she knows. I am lucky because I know as much as she believes I know."
That was perhaps a little harsher than what she'd intended to say. She smirked and tried to make the topic lighter. "It's a bit confusing to say the least. But at least Reina got this part of my personality correct - the original me would still think you're adorable."
The picture looked at the two before her and stated, "if you have any questions about me or how I exist, don't hesitate to ask. It's the least I can do after bombarding you with geology questions," she aimed at D'cund.

"Do you generate heat?" was the first question out of D'cund's...Hum. And now the drawing should be prepared for an onslaught. The rockmonster's curiosity was now allowed to flow.
"Are you as light as the paper you are drawn on? "Are you hollow? "Do you have organs, do they work? "Where is your original?"
He stopped as he realised he was getting ahead of himself. But the silence lasted not more than a second when Sigma spoke up.
"That scythe of yours, does it work?"
Surprising his creator, he decided to drop the "adorable" subject and move on. Probably because the scythe worried him a bit.

"Okay, let's go in order of the questions." It surprised her a little that D'cund had held back all his questions before. Maybe it was a politeness thing?
"It's...well dang, I don't know how to describe how I am. When she created me, she didn't put too much thought into my physical form as she did my personality. I don't generate heat, nor do I have organs. However, I'm not hollow or light as the paper. I do weigh approximately the same as my original. The only reason why I get to weigh that much is because she knows how much the real me weighs. If she wanted me to weigh an ounce, she would have had to think about that when she first drew me. Whatever she thinks, I can become." She smiled at the questions. "However, the more she thinks, the more magic it takes to keep it up. I don't take up too much of her magic, which is good. I don't want to wear her out."
"As for where the original me is...I can't tell you." The drawing shrugged. "Not because I don't want to but because I don't know. Reina wouldn't know either. The original tends to pop in at unexpected times."
She then looked at Sigma to answer his question. "This thing? It's real as I am, and I imagine it works, but I have never wielded one before. I don't even know why I have it."

The teacher had gone back to reading his book again but looked up after a while to squint at the clock then gave the class a weak smile and shook his head as he pushed himself up and walked back around his desk to resume a perch on its edge. "Glad ta see ya gettin along," he gave D'cund, Sigma, and Isa-drawing a smile, "but you may want to slow it down a touch and give some others a chance to speak. Maybe talk to a few of them," he nodded at the other students. "You'll have plenty of time for chatter after class but right now we want to include the whole group," he gave them a sorry smile before looking to the others. "And that group needs to do its work," Mr. Vay spoke a bit flatly. "We're halfway to deadline so pick it up, guys." Then he turned to Alex and Evan. "Also, it looks like I am going to have to say this. When one is told a little magic is fine but ' don't go hog wild on the fancy stuff' that generally means you've gone a bit too far. Being the child of a god, angel, demon, or any very powerful being is not a little magic. That's a whole lot of magic. It's also a bit cliché when you're pulling from the Greek or Christian pantheons. There's a whole world of other mythologies out there to choose from, ones that haven't been overdone since the 15th century. "If you want to be the child of a god take a look at some of the other choices. Norse and Egyptian are almost as bad as Greek but there's still Celtic, Arabic, Chinese, Oceanic, African, Native American, Aboriginal, Japanese, Syrian, and many others. Have a look at Aztec, they've got some interesting gods in there, one of which is sometimes called the Bloodthirsty Hummingbird. How's that for different? "If you really want to go with the angels and demons thing step away from Renaissance concepts of them and go to the source. Angels are not pretty blonds with wings and demons don't all have horns. Angels and demons both come in some pretty nightmarish forms when you actually read the scripture. Take the Cherubim for example. According to the Book of Ezekiel, Cherubim have "four wings, with straight feet with a sole like the sole of a calf's foot, and hands of a man under their wings. Each had four faces: The face of a man, the face of a lion on the right side, the face of an ox on the left side, and the face of an eagle." (Ezekiel 1:6-10) Not your pudgy little winged baby there. Other scriptural descriptions of angels include balls of eyes and wheels of fire. Those are real angels. "Now, I'm not gonna jump on you for being cliché. I'll mention it and if you don't do something interesting with it you'll not get a stellar grade, but I'll allow it. What I won't allow is being overpowered. Most of the kids in here are just regular people. A few of them have pointy ears or other odd features and one is made of rock but they're not demigods. That's what the children of powerful beings are. Powerful. So much so that no GM should ever allow it unless that's part of the point of the whole game. Which, for this one, it is not. Having demigods alongside regular people creates instant imbalance and just isn't fair for the other players. The demigods will not be challenged or the regulars will flat out die from whatever challenges them. That's basic party balance there. "That said, there can be tweaks made to allow for the possibility of demigod status if the player earns it. Yes. Demigod status should be earned. Unless the whole plot of the RP is that everyone is a demigod then that sort of thing is not something you can trust even a mediocre player with. Demigods are just too prone to derailing things and stealing spotlights that it takes a good player to play them alongside non-demigod characters. Also making your players earn it gives them time to establish their character outside of their demigod status because once you know you're half god that tends to overshadow everything else so it's nice to have an established personality and relations beforehand. And let's not forget that good characters need to change and grow. Finding out you're a demigod and learning about parentage and powers can make for a good subplot and excellent character development. Top that all off with it encouraging players to be better players so they can earn the power then that's a pretty good system." Vay flashed a wide grin. "So. If you want to be a demigod (or any other sort of powerful being) you're going to have to earn it," the teacher paused to let that sink in. "How's that done?" He took a step back and tapped the good chart on the board. "By being a good player and playing a good character. You shouldn't need demigod status to be a good character so shine without it and you'll find a GM's appreciation can be quite rewarding," he smiled and stepped back to resume his perch. "For this specific RP, if you want some sort of big magic then put a note after your concept that you'd like to work toward whatever power it is you want. But don't include it straight up as you might be denied. Now, that doesn't mean you can't set your character up for it. In fact you should. Just don't go straight out and say you're the son of a god. Instead have little hints and things that could be otherwise explained with other things. A tattoo or even birthmark doesn't make you a demigod but it can be a symptom of the condition. Having some small ability to control fire doesn't make you the son of the forge god but it would make sense for him. Little things like that plant the seeds for the future revelation without flat out saying it and telling a good story is all about planting seeds." The teacher paused a moment to smile at the rest of the class then looked back to Alex and Evan. "So. Let's fix those profiles and turn them back in. Probably wouldn't hurt to put a little more in your concepts either" Roll Call:Bourgeoisie Alice V Alice Valentine: a girl with a few mental disorders trying to find someone to understand her and not call her "crazy". Countess Misery Evalyn May Rose: a tiny stick of dynamite, not about to let anyone get in her way. Demon Fox Kyuu Evan Scarborough: a meek but friendly and happy-go-lucky artist. Deoxyribose-42 Ella-Brook: a driven, highly competitive, and unorthodox book lover. DragnGuy7 Alex Rider: a down on his luck slacker pushed into enrolling by his nagging parents. Keynir Levi Jemison: a home-schooled and neglected boy determined to make something of himself. Levi had an absolute blast watching the classroom. There was so much going on at the moment, and as usual he preferred listening through other's conversations. This way he tended to find out many things he otherwise wouldn't have dared to ask. The drawing-came-to-life from Reina's notebook was happily chatting with the rock guy, and other people were making conversation as well. What he enjoyed most of all was the magic. It seemed to be everywhere, although nothing like his imagination had come up with during his fantasy plays, it was still amazing. Levi startled when the books appeared on the desks out of thin air. It looked safe. Regular like the other things that had appeared on the desks. He flipped it open at the teacher's request and begun to write. LeviPlayed by: Keynir Commitment: Hobbyist, trying for Gamer. Basics Full Name: Levi Jemison Alias: Nothing other than Lev. Age: 18 Gender: Male Nationality: Nashville, Tennessee, USA, Earth Ethnicity: Human ConceptLevi was a character that appeared much out of thin air. The idea was to have this angsty kid with a mixed up childhood who was trying to make something of himself. He’d be quite an average kid from the outside, but I intended for him to have some deeper special qualities one wouldn’t have guessed from the first look. A not all too complicated character, or so I thought, to help me learn about the mysteries of being a good roleplayer. Appearance Hair: Black Eyes: Left grey, right blue. ( Heterochromia iridum Skin: Healthy pink, not tanned Height: 180cm (± 5’11”) Weight: 78kg (± 171 lbs.) Build: Slender, slightly muscled. Distinguishing Features: His differently colored eyes. Description: His favorite clothes are comfortable clothes. So at the moment he is seen in blue, faded jeans; a yellow t-shirt with a few music notes on it, a blue hooded vest and worn sneakers. His clothes are a bit tattered now, a result of him not having had a chance to change or fix them up since he entered the Academy. Out of nowhere the words seemed to be on the page. He had no recollection of putting them there, but yet there it all was, eerily correct. Then the voice he knew to be his player's sounded in his head, telling him that he did it and saying he should calm down. Levi felt silly immediately, annoyed with himself that he hadn't jumped to that conclusion. With a sigh, he tried to find some space on the page for the extra credit assignment but the whole page was filled. Suddenly there was a soft poofing sound and a new page appeared behind the one he'd just completed. He smiled once quickly for himself, as if it were a secret, and started writing. I do believe there can be some merits to choosing an image over or with a description. First off all there is the common phrase "A picture says more than a thousand words", which I believe has some truth in it. From a picture, other players can tell in one glance what a character looks like, instead of having to sift through the descriptions and hope to remember the most important features. If the roleplayer who uses the pictures is not good at making his own characters or descriptions and prefers using a premade item over having to come up with something him or herself it can be a great asset. Naturally, there are downsides to this approach as well, but those are perhaps for another piece of text as only the merits were asked. Having finished this as well, he laid down his pen and looked around the classroom again. Part of him felt a longing to talk to someone, anyone. To be part of the group. The bigger part of him, however, the one with fear, fought that urge with a vengeance, nailing Levi to his seat. He tried to convince himself there was nothing to be scared about, but it was no use. From frustration he started assembling and disassembling his pen again, for lack of ability to do much else at the moment.

Embarrassed, Evan looked up from his paper. "Sorry, my player just put that because I am based on another character of his. Probably should change that," he said the last part to Kyuu. A quick change being put into his head he quickly wrote it down. After writing it in, he watched the drawing some more.

Zane eyed the contents of his completed worksheet warily, wondering if there was anything wrong with what he had written -- scratch that, copied. Frankly, he was bored. Transferring information from one form to another only took so much time, and presently, he had a lot of it left over. He looked up and away from his sheet. Like before he started working on the latest assignment, the flurry of activity in the classroom was centered around the rock being and the gunslinger elf.
Figuring the majority of eyes would be fixated on these two pair's activities, Zane took the opportunity. Gathering his stuff, he slinkered past Ella-Brook to the desk beside her, which was right next to the wall. A drawstring pouch was retrieved from his backpack. What it held were microphones that were encased in spheres made of black glass. In other words, to anyone who didn't bother to check, in Zane's hands was an everyday bag of marbles.
Plucking one of the marbles at the top of the bag, he set it into the book compartment underneath the desk's surface. Now all that was left was to activate the microphone marble.

The rest of the class the students chatted back and forth, Basira even heard some Spanish flow over her head. Spaniards She just chuckled and shook her head. They always spoke a weird Spanish in her opinion. When the book appeared just over her desk she grudgingly picked up her pencil and began to fill out the worksheet. I ain’t never getting’ that cupcake. Might as well do this nonsense so I can get outta here
Baz, Basira
Played by: Setses Commitment: Hobbiyist
Basics Full Name: Basira Itzli Alias: Bastet Age: 18 Gender: Female Nationality: East Docks of Lexerith, lower city, Prometheus Ethnicity: Meztinos and Arawak/Afro-Bajan
Concept This is a younger Basira. A Basira pre-nanites. Despite moving to Prometheus city life is still the same. The safety found in anonymity also leads to unyielding loneliness. Despite what some may think, this has not turned Basira cold, but rather internal. Almost all of her conversations are with herself, and when bouts appear on the outside world it gives her the appearance of randomness. She is the younger sibling of two children. She loves to work with her hands particularly in technical theatre. This stems from her immense desire to escape her home, even Prometheus. Her sketches for set design never involve people, just places she would rather be. This love for set design leads her to be lackidasical in other subjects. This lack of discipline allows, frequently, other deadlines to creep up on her. Despite the frequency of this, she can still not handle pressure very well. On the other hand sometimes she is just in that 'working mood' and in this case she can be meticulous, perfecting an 'art' as she would call it. If a project is not finished she will try to hide it, she is always afraid of judgment. She received her letter in Prometheus and as quickly as possible she ran from home. Maybe this was a chance for escape.
Appearance Hair: She has her mother’s here almost to a T. Her hair is in semi-tight brown curls. When she lets her hair down it appears quite shaggy, only coming to her chin in nice defined s-shaped curls. However if she pulls down on her hair it reaches the middle of her back. Eyes: Both of her eyes are a dark chocolate brown Skin: An even tanned-tone. The best both her parents had to offer left Basira with fair, latté, colored skin. Height: 5’2” Weight: 121lbs Build: She built quite lithe. Exploring the city, building theatre sets leaves her slightly toned. Distinguishing Features: She has 3 large dark brown freckles that go across her nose and 6 smaller freckles under each eye. Description: Basira is never seen without her scale bar. It was her first large buy to aid in her drawing. When she’s nervous she spins it around in her hand. When she is thinking she taps it like a mad woman. Basira, in short, cannot keep still. She is always thinking of new places, new sets, anything to remove her thoughts from home. Basira is usually found in loose faded blue jeans and black and white sneakers that were modeled from Earthean Chuck Taylors. In addition she wears a gray button-up shirt with her brother´s black and blue stripped sweater.
