Reporting: Please use the main Forum to report glitches and bugs in regards to GAIA Online, or to the appropriate sticky if staff have one up or the such. Please do not use this thread, as I have pretty much found myself not with the time nor patience to browse through reports people post in my sticky due to so many of them essentially being repeats and problems already listed.
How to report: To report a glitch, the most I can say is when reporting in the forum, please use this sticky as your guiding light in how to report: How to report a Bug/Glitch
Before reporting: PLEASE always make sure to review my Sticky (Not the entire thing, perhaps just the latest updates and the category in which you think the glitch would be listed under) and also the Q&A Problems Sticky, as if its listed already, there is no reason to report it again
If you are a bit too lazy to read through, try the new Glitch List Searcher feature to search for certain keywords.
After reporting: PLEASE do be patient, this is an extremely slow forum, as its stated in the rules, perhaps while you wait for myself or perhaps someone else to come along with a useful answer, please maybe take time to read over the BR&TS Rules and Guidelines Sticky so you know what to expect and what to/not to do
Informing: If there IS a glitch that IS on the list, which has been resolved, or you've thought you may have found a workaround or developed one yourself, you may contact me via PM to inform me about the fact that it is no longer a problem or post in this topic to inform me.
If you see a glitch that people have been reporting which however is NOT on the list, please do not contact me by PM or post it in this topic
I may be slow sometimes with updates to this sticky, but will get it listed as soon as I can.
Anything listed under the "Major" lists are usually critical problems that are most likely being worked on immediately by the developers staff.
These problems can often totally effect your online experience on the site either by making a feature completely unusable or multiple features unusable.
Anything listed under the "Minor" lists are issues that are still annoying and bothersome, but do not make the feature unavailable at all, as much as it just causes a certain portion of it to work incorrectly

Housing arena has been down for a long while with no explanation why last I saw, will update if I hear more.
Gift Giving Disabled
No word why this is disabled at this time, but it is.
Housing Related Issues
There are many problems apparently going on with Housing features, two of the main ones affecting many users in a wide-spread manner are:
1) Unable to view housing items in the inventory arranger (makes one unable to migrate items into the 'Suitcase' and remove from)
2) Unable to edit house through the editor (This is not related to those who cannot access the editor due to not having shockwave installed and the such)
Unable to toggle Profile Type
Many users (mostly new ones its being reported, but unconfirmed) are unable to toggle between the 'Old School' and 'New Profiles' system through the Account Management page.
Resolved Problems and Issues GAIA Friendslist
There are apparently some cases where users are unable to add users to their friendslist due to a 'Database Error', no workaround is available.
GAIA Games
All the games seem to be having issues with some users right now, not allowing them to connect and so on. No workaround at this time, staff are aware of this issue though.
World Map
The 'Teleport' function is not working properly, those which have certain error features enabled will get an error about SID being undefined probably.
GAIA Profiles
There are a lot of problems with profiles right now, some of which to note being unable to set to GMT, unable to put certain things into your 'details' sections and more, these problems however should be fixed soon as the Profiles v2 is stated to probably be coming out this week.

Major Issues Foreign Characters in Passwords
Some of the 'Password' validated features (Bank, market) seem to have issues with some passwords that have non-alphanumerical characters in it (as in, anything that is not 0-9, a-z, A-Z).
Minor Issues Donation Letters Late
It seems lately donation letters that have come late, when users send in a feedback form not all the feedback forms about donation letters are being sent through.
Please read the second post of This thread for more information on what to do due to this glitch lately.
Script Debugging Errors
People using Internet Explorer browsers at times are getting "Script Debugging Error" messages, that show up in certain areas of the site, such as moving the mouse over building on the map, the subscriptions page, and the "Close tags" button in the reply boxes, and possibly other areas.
You can workaround the annoyance of this message that pops up by doing this:
Script Debugging Tools >> Internet Options (click) Go to the Advanced tab, and check the "Disable Script Debugging" checkbox. Javascript Error Tools >> Internet Options (click) Go to the Advanced tab, and un-check the "Display a Notification about every script error" checkbox.

Minor Issues Wishlists/New Items
There is a glitch which has been occuring with newer items (over I believe with all items released over the past two months roughly atleast) where they cannot be added/viewed through the Wishlist system.
Unable to choose GMT
In the profile where you choose your timezone, it seems users are unable to choose GMT itself as a timezone they are in.
Timezones missing GMT +/- 13
The profile system is currently missing the GMT +/- 13 timezones in the selection field.
GAIA Housing - Missing Button
The button in the profiles and tool panel underneath siggy areas in posts is currently missing the View members house button. You can still view other member's housing by placing the uID of the member you wish to see at the end of this string:

Mistyped Link from Anniversary Ball Souvenir
Zrana I was going through my inventory. Remember those letters from Gambino after the Anniversary ball stuff? I went and looked at my post I recieved, then I went to click on 'okay' to go back to my inventory. Basically, if users click on their anniversary Gambino picture to view, then press "Ok," they will be redirected to an error link.
Mysterious Birthday switching!
In your profile, when you type in what your birthday is, some users are experiencing a problem in which the birthday is incremented or decremented by one day upon saving. It seems to only occur when inputting either 31 December 1988 or 31 December 1984.

Major Issues No Gold for Referrals!
In the "Grow Gaia" section (you can access by clicking the text link at the very bottom of this page), it mentions that you get 50 gold plus "a chance to win special items!" In actuality, you get a (little) better chance of getting a rare that day, and no gold. Unfortunately, the admins haven't got around to change that yet. sweatdrop
Minor Issues User Not Authenticated
If you get this error while in the stores, simply just log out of GAIA and re-log back in, as this should solve the problem.
Selling/Buying Store Items
Some users have been reporting having difficulty purchasing items from the new Shopping interface, also some have reported that when they try to 'Sell' items its actually asking them to purchase, no known workaround at this time, just refreshing might resolve it though.
Engraving
Giftwrapping recently with the release of the Avatar 3.0 System has come back up, however Engraving is still down (Rumoured to perhaps never be coming back).

Major Issues Marketplace Error - Buy failed
Some users have reported recently that when attempting to buy something in the marketplace, their gold was taken, but the bid or buy failed and did not go through. This seems to result in their gold disappearing while the item remains up for sale and the seller does not receive the gold. Use the marketplace at your own risk at the moment. If this happens to you, you will likely not get your gold back.
Updated Information on Marketplace Errors
Kava "Your Store is Full"Some users are getting an error message: "There were one or more errors while processing your request Sorry, your store is already full" though their store has less than four items in it. If you experience this, you please contact a Purple Dedicated Moderator and they should be able to help you with it. Transaction Locks #1/Expired Items Update Mar 7: Locks should now not last longer than about two days. If you get a lock on an item that fails to clear up within two days, please report it in the Transaction Reports ThreadThe transaction locks affecting a majority of Gaians occurs when an action taken in the marketplace 'fails'. This causes the item to be locked, and does not allow any further modification to the item listing by buyers or by the seller. The item also 'expires' but remains in the marketplace. The seller cannot confirm/accept bid or do anything else with the locked item. This is a known issue and is being looked into. Extra Info More Expired ItemsThere are also items that were placed up for 'auction' and do not automatically send to the highest bidder when the time expires, and require the seller to go in an manually 'accept' the bid. You can tell the difference between this and a transaction locked item by viewing the item history and seeing whether or not the last action on the item says, "Fail!" If it doesn't say fail, the seller might be able to manually accept the bid! The second transaction lock prevents sellers from placing any item into their vend stores. This is also being looked into, but we have less information on it. Minor Issues Missing Trading Pass
Some users have noted since the release of the new bank, where they used to actually own a Trading Pass, the bank doesn't seem to realize that and it makes them purchase a new one.
At this time only information I can give is wait a bit and see if it resolves itself, or purchase another one for 500 gold.
UPDATE: Lazuli Kitten has found out this may not entirely be accurate. Apparently now if you try to initate a trade with someone whom does not have a trading pass, it will tell you that YOU don't have one, where as it really should provide an error stating the other user does not have one.
Purchasing Vending Pass
With the new banking system released, seems there is already a glitch with purchasing a vending pass, as the box to enter your pass and purchase it does not always show up.
To work around this and purchase the pass, assuming you do already OWN a Trading pass, use the following link (if you hafe 1000 gold, it should show a box saying you already own a trading pass, but also giving you a box to enter your pass and purchase the vending pass):

User Shops refusing to Update *
When some users try editing the description of their shop, the message "Invalid Entry, please click back and choose a reasonable name and description." appears.
Workaround: To fix this try changing the name of your shop at the same time you edit the description. Simply changing that description as well as changing the name allowed seems to allow the description to go through. After that feel free to go back and change your shop name back to whatever it originally was.

Finally got the list updated, went through the list, got and listed all the resolved issues, updated a few entries and added a couple new ones.
Coming soon: I'll be adding a mini FAQ to the sticky, mostly for the issues that people report as glitches/bugs, which really aren't, so i'll try to have that within a few days
Important Sidenote: Tonight is the DST rollback, set your clocks back one hour if your within Daylight Savings Time affected zones, as the list now is back on EST (Eastern Standard) rather than EDT (Eastern Daylight) updates xp

I finally went through the Casino and Housing reporting threads, took things that were recently posted and things I knew were problems and finally got them listed up, copied the GAIA Towns glitch list from the one major list in the GAIA Towns forum (details found under the GAIA Towns glitches category) yesterday as well.
For now i'm going to leave the GGN listing empty, with it so fresh out of the workstation so to say xp , going to let that go since darknrgy seems to be constantly making updates to that thing and patching here and there.

Well, Glitches & Bugs v2.0 (with a side of information xd ) is now up and sorta launched.
Got bored with the old lay out, and with new features coming out and all that stuff, I wanted to make more room to expand and cover more things without having to try to clutter categories and so on and so on. Hopefully ya'll like the new style, I found it hopefully better to use (more simple and such). Yes at this time, GAIA Casino/Housing and Towns are all empty on the second page, my apologies for that, over the next day I will try to update those with glitches after I go burrowing through those threads 3nodding

Not receiving total Donations
Some users are reporting that when making donations for more than one letter, they are not receiving them all, only one or maybe two out of say 4 donation letters.
At this time, anyone experiencing this should still wait the 10 business days, and if you still have not received them, you should send in a Feedback Form (contact us link at the bottom of any page) and note how many letters are still missing (make sure to include your paypal receipts as well).
Private Messages System
It seems the PM System is having some problems again, some PMs are returning errors of several types, please just be patient and it should get fixed as soon as they can get fix it.
PM Outbox Glitch
If you read one of your Outgoing PMs from your outbox, it tags it as read and will move it to the Sentbox.
GAIA Towns - Duplicated Items
There seem to still be a few reports of duplicated Towns items for some users. If you do have the worry that you may have duplicated items (whether in towns or anywhere really), please stop whatever you were playing/doing that caused them and then contact a Green Omnimoderator.
Session Redirect
Users using Remember Me are finding when they go to just the main home of GAIA Online (www.gaiaonline.com) they are not automatically being redirected to the /mygaia/ page based on the session.
If you use Remember me, or even jsut go to that page, and it looks like you are logged out, just click on one of the nav buttons, as you are likely still logged in.
Hidden Status Glitch
There is a glitch where being 'Hidden' status doesn't actually hide you, if you are offline it shows you as offline, but if you are 'Hidden' it will show you as hidden, basically just another way of showing you are online rather than it always showing you are hidden sweatdrop
Events Error
Some users have noticed that the link when a random event pops up is not showing up at the bottom of the page. In addition, the eek face may not be showing up for random events. Expect glitches.
Terradi The pattern I'm getting reported to me about rare events is as follows: Blue giftbox: just box, no face, no link Pinklink: pinklink, no face no link Trunk: trunk, face, no link Pink giftbox: ? No one's said whether or not the pink giftboxes are acting as normal so that's still iffy at the moment. 3nodding
Deleting PMs from outbox
It seems that if you try to delete an individual PM from within itself from the outbox, it won't delete as the Delete button doesn't have the right value assigned to it.
New 'Phantom PM' Glitch
There seems to be a new Phantom PM glitch, caused by deleting PMs before reading them, it causes you to be stuck with the PM Bubble and text stating you have x New Messages.
Only way to fix this issue seems to be logging out and back in now.
Memberlist - New members
Currently new members that have registered with gaia since a certain time (Still not exactly sure when) are not showing up on the member list when either searched for or by looking at the full list.
Inventory Arranger
Most possibly due to the server migration maintenance, the inventory arranger is giving people session timed out errors and more, not letting them save their arranger. Its a known problem affecting seemingly everyone, so please be patient and wait maybe a day or two as it should be fixed by then I'd think.
Logans Ol' Fishing Hole
Apparently rods are currently not unable to be upgraded in the new store layout, no known fix for this at this time.
Journals Comment Deleting
It seems at this time that its impossible to delete comments from journals as you will get some Database related errors for the most part.
No workaround currently available.
Multiple Art Arena Issues
Brimmy Cannot Delete
I still am unable to delete the image that wasn't accepted. It goes to the delete/edit page and when I click delete, it goes back to the main arena page.
Cannot Add Art
I am now unable to enter art completely. It does not tell me that I'm over my limit or anything (I shouldn't be, I haven't tried submitting anything since the 23rd). It just goes back to the main arena page without giving any kind of confirmation, and the entry doesn't show up in my list.
Unable To Vote
I am also unable to vote on any pictures. Clicking on a rating just brings me back to the main arena page.
Editing submitted photos
I submitted a drawing and accidentally skipped a subfolder when writing the URL. I realized my mistake just after I hit send. I tried to hit edit/delete and all I got was returned back to viewing other member's art. Each time I went back to my submissions, the post in question was still there and clicking on it did the same thing. I would have fixed the address in the submission if I had been able to.
Deleting submitted photos
Same as above. Because I was unable to edit my submission, the ability to delete it would have been nice. I came back after an hour or so and I still had the same problem. Because this image wouldn't disappear, I was unable to submit another on or resubmit this one correctly.
Submission Limits
I do not know if not being able to delete my problem post was a glitch or just an oversight in the system, but I do not think that it should have counted towards my limit of two images. The system should either let you edit your posts in case you make a mistake or allow you to submit something else on the same day to replace any posts that were declined. I do not think its fair to have people like me who just made an honest mistake to be penalized for it.
Daily Submission limits
I understand your need to limit members to two posts a day, but I was wondering what constitutes a day? My submission was approved on February 22nd, it is now a quarter of the way through the 23rd. Shouldn't I be able to submit new images today?
GAIA Bank
The bank as it has been for quite awhile now is still termed as Use At Your Own Risk, meaning you are using it at the cost of understanding a glitch could happen and Gold/Item loss could occur.
UPDATE: With the new banking system out, the risk of vanishing gold and/or items seem to be less now.
Economy Systems Down
All gold earning, spending functions are offline. This means all Shopping/Store, Vending and Trading also is disabled. There is no information as to why its all down, but they are most likely aware it is down, so be patient and avoid reporting this problem : )
Flood Notices
Many users are reporting getting the 'You cannot post so fast' flood noticed between the Guilds, Main forums and even PMs, please wait at this time and the administration will try to resolve it as soon as they can I'm sure, but the problem is known.
Profiles & Journals Down
There seems to be a database error of some sort causing both features to not respond properly. Please don't think that its deleted, its most likely not so just be patient and wait for it to come back.
Unable to trade last items
When trading from your inventory, if you are trying to exchange ALL your items from one inventory to another you must have at least ONE item still in your inventory during the full trade.
The easiest way around this is to just buy a peasant shirt or something and place it into the inventory and trade the rest then.
Trading & Vending Passes
If you are having problems purchasing a Trading Pass from the Bank, just use the following link, after using the link you should notice somewhere towards the far bottom of the page a new balloon which gives you the button to 'Buy Pass': Click Here
After that, if you are interested in purchasing the Vending Pass, you need to scroll as far down as you can on the page, you should see a broken image placeholder floating somewhere way down below, just a bit above the 'About Us' link, click that for the Vending Pass bubble.
Blank name trades *
Some users have been reporting glitches where trades in their pending trades list at the bank not only show no subject line, but also blank out the name of the other user they are trading with. A workaround has been found for this, as described below. Note: This workaround works best if the blank name trade is the ONLY trade currently in your pending trades.
**If your trade shows a name of the user you are trading with, but no subject line, you can click on the name to access the trade.

Next:
Copy the part: "bank.php?mode=trade&trade_id=NUMBER" and add it to the URL I posted as the base. (top of this post... paste it without the "" thingys)

Various Market Issues
Apparently there are several glitches affecting the Marketplace right now, though they do not seem userbase-wide, as its mostly only affecting some people. Of the issues reported are the following:
'Base Items' - Users are reporting that they get an error about 'Base Item is unsellable' or something of the sort.
Buy/Bid Buttons - Members are also reporting these buttons are not showing up for them, therefore preventing them from actually purchasing or bidding on an item.
No Price - Apparently some users are also reporting that no prices are showing up for items. Now take note, these problems may be fixed by refreshing a few times, but if that does not resolve them, please be patient as I'm sure the Devs will get everything working again soon.
Faktori Shopping
There is currently a glitch affecting the Faktori interface which will not let you see any items other than Wall/Floor tiles, apparently all the other tabs are empty, no workaround at this time.
Avatar Swaps
There are two variants of this currently going around, one where your avatar completely swaps with another users avatar (Or even reported to be swapped with a snapshot of a house), and one where temporarily your avatar gets swapped with another users.
In case of the first situation, just enter your 'Dress Up' page and resave.
Arethic A bit of a subtle notice, due to these avatar swapping glitches, it also seems to be affecting avatars and housing submitted snapshots in the two arenas as well, perhaps until the system is fixed fully, you may wish to hold off on participating in any further Arena events.
Unable to PM Self
Apparently users are now unable to send themselves PMs, when they try they just end up poofing into oblivion, not to be found within the Outbox or the Sentbox.
'Malformed Cookie'
It seems many people are getting this error on the new 'Channels' homepage, refreshing around the error seems to sometimes resolve the error, or clearing your cookies and trying again also will resolve it it seems (but possibly log you out as well)
GAIA Homes
It seems GAIA Housing is currently not working for anyone, you cannot get into edit or view homes via the Shockwave viewer system.

Account Swapping
Apparently some people are reporting while browsing GAIA Online, Avatars and such are apparently another users, as if they were logged into their accounts.
Its been noted that this is NOT a security risk, as the private (Account and such) areas of the accounts cannot be accessed by this session swaping glitch.
UPDATE: Reports on this have died down again, listing as resolved for now.
Gift Wrapping
It seems that the Giftwrapping function currently isn't working or is not implemented yet in the Barton Boutique, so users cannot giftwrap items at this time.

GAIA Exchange
It seems the GAIA Exchange is not working at this time, giving people errors when they try to enter it within stores, no workaround available at this time.
Avatar Saving Down
It seems that avatar saving is down site-wide giving everyone errors, its know and will be fixed as soon as possible i'm sure.
Aekea Crate & Apparel
There are three items on the last page of the store that were added in the last update, but are having code problems, you cannot click on them in the store at this time.

Gold Granting
Apparently Gold granting is supposed to still possibly be disabled, though some people are reporting getting gold still, some are not, only a few reports on the not getting gold still. No workaround or extra info available at this time o.o;
PM System Down
There seems to be a minor glitch people reported earlier with the PM system where PMs were not showing up in the inboxes and such, so they seem to have disabled the system while they fix it. There is no reason to believe PMs have been lost at this time.
UPDATE: PMs have been back up and working for the most part for a good bit now.
Avatar Engine
It seems that there is something up with the avatar engine, meaning that customizing, and previewing avatar changes/updates are not working.
Do not use any of the so called 'Server' workarounds, where you change the URL, as those cause more problems than good.
Reinhart Server
It seems that the Reinhart server is currently down, so many of the misc content areas of the site are unaccessible, this including the Feedback Form, and the GAIA Store amongst them.
Navigation Chain ('Breadcrumbs')
The Navigation Chain for forums (otherwise known as 'breadcrumbs') are currently not displaying above forum titles, meaning that if you are in a subforum of say GCD, it will only show the navigation up to GCD, and not the title to the subforum or farther.
Method not Implemented/Bad Request
People are getting these amongst a few other types of error messages while browsing GAIA, usually you can just refresh and it will resolve around it.
Graphics Related Problems - Firefox
There have been some reports of Firefox Browser not loading graphics properly from GAIA Online, such as avatars, buttons and such not showing up. There is a workaround walk-through listed here:

Missing Game Items
Many members are reporting game items, such as fishing, towns and such, their items missing from their inventory, at this time there isn't any confirmation of this glitch, please just be patient and if it is a wide-scale issue it will be resolved as soon as possible i'm sure.
Cannot Report Dead Links
When clicking on the "dead link" text link next to the the site link in question, you get an error message that reads:

Comments in Profiles
Some users are reporting that they are unable to post comments in certain profiles, it seems if you refresh around the error it works sometimes, but not always.
Firewall Conflicts
There are more reported problems with GAIA and users not being able to access certain pages, as it will just present them with a blank page, this is happening across multiple browsers and seems to be related to Firewalls, as usual, it is not recommended to disable the firewall, however this does seem to allow access but it still is a risky workaround. At this time please be patient and they will most likely resolve it as soon as they can.
Online/Offline always Offline
All members are currently showing up apparently as offline all around the forums, or they sometimes seem to be showing up as hidden, but never online at this time.
Remember Me
Remember me is currently not working again, so everyone is getting logged out after awhile, especially if they go inactive.
Profiles not saving
This appears to be a problem that is reported by a few people every so often, its a small and random glitch affecting random members, where they can go into their Edit Profile page, but cannot save any information they enter for the Location, Interests, etc, this is noted to be a side affect if anyone tries to use characters other than a-z, A-Z, 0-9 in those boxes.
Cannot Encode Inventory
Some members are reporting that they are getting an error along the lines of "Could not encode inventory. Please contact an administrator.". If you get this, wait about a week, and if it still a persistent problem, contact a moderator for further assistance.
Cross Gender/No Avatar (Registering)
Apparently some new accounts when registering are finding that when they go into their inventory, that they have items of the opposite gender, this mostly being newly registered male accounts apparently, tis possible that female registered accounts are having the same problem though, at this time most you can do is sell the opposite gender items and buy appropriate gender items.
Also, some people are reporting when going into their Customize me Page, that it says they do not have an avatar generated, that they need to create one, if you get that message or some other error such as "The base model for your avatar does not exist. please reconfigure your avatar", please try to create a new avatar here:

Avatar System Down
The avatar system seems to be not working properly at this time, not previewing or saving avatars, nor letting you equip/unequip. Please do not use the 'server workaround' people have been giving out, by changing server names, as its no longer permitted.
Siggy BBCode in PMs
Signatures in Private Messages are screwed up, showing the $uid of BBCodes making it not parse the BBCode into the signature properly.
Green Pixels
Some avatars while in town seem to have green pixels around them, this most likely due to the same reason it will do it on GAIA around the site, simple problems with transparency when the avatars are saved.
Thin Horizontal Line
Sometimes while wandering Towns in certain places you will see little horizontal lines, only a few pixels in width show up in the area around your avatar.
Random Kicks
Upon venturing to random areas from another one, sometimes it will end with you being kicked from Towns and having to re-enter from the train station.
Getting more than 10 Bugs
Many people are reporting being able to obtain more than 10 bugs, going over the 10/10 limit in Towns, please do not make use of this glitch, just every time you hit 10, don't try to get more, just go back to a mid square and dump them off ^_^

Blank Pages
A good few people are reporting starting to get more constant blank pages when trying to view the PM Inbox, Maps and the Bank so far. There is one possible work around for this, where if you will log out of GAIA, clear cookies and cache fully, log back in it might resolve it, though there are still a good few people stating it has not, at this time if it does not work, please be patient till its found and resolved.
Login Problems *
Some members are logging into Gaia only to receive a temporary IP lockout. This is standard when a password is mis-guessed multiple times, but is happening with one or no false guesses. Users do gain access after the 15 minute ban is up and they are not being locked out of the site altogether.
The following message may or may not show up before the ban:

Journals - Friendslist Entries
There is a problem apparently where some friends' journals will not show up in the 'Friendslist Entries' page, as if they were not on your friendslist.
Rayinte has noted that also, the friendslist entries page is not sorting properly, as in not putting all the recent entries to the top as it should be.
Journals Headers
Apparently the specialized codes, HTML and BBCode do not work anymore in GAIA Journals for the headers, as usual, will be resolved as soon as it can i'm sure.
Signature Disables + Gold
Members who have had their signatures disabled recently are reporting getting rather un-usual and very high gold requirements in order to restore their sig, some people in the hundreds of thousands, apparently another person around 20 million gold o_o;
Developers are aware and are trying to fix it.
Avatar saving is laggy *
Avatar saving appears to be working...however, it seems that it is taking a while (15+ min? or more) for the new avatar to show up on the site. The cause of this is unknown, but it may be due to strain on the profile server. Please refrain from repeatedly trying to save if you receive the message that your avatar was saved successfully. And at times it may not be working completely.
Update: Flood Control seems to be activated even if you haven't saved your avatar recently. This is preventing avatars from being saved.
GAIA Journals - Template Glitch
One of the templates (I believe its Gaia Site v2) and the mix of the Weblog setting, cause the Journals not to display properly for new members, apparently this isn't a problem with older members or those already using this particular style, but is common amongst new members. If you come across using any particular settings and they end up causing an error where no entries show up and your avatar loads as a red X, then just choose a different style.
UPDATE: Due to a recent coincidence trying some glitch testing with my journal, I believe I found the cause to this problem. If you delete the most recent post in your journal it will cause this problem where when you go specifically look at your journal by uID, not pID, it will show the big blank area where the post should be and the avatar comes up as a red x. To resolve this, just make a new entry.
Store/Item Previews
People are still having problems with with previewing items in the stores they wish to purchase from, at this time there is no fix, and due to something recent said by a developer, its recommended not to use the Server Workaround people have been giving out.

Random Logouts
Certain members have been experiencing Random Logouts around GAIA, irregardless of making use of the 'Remember Me' feature or not, administration are said to be aware of this problem. For those of you experiencing logouts every so hour or so, if you are not using Remember Me when you login, this is usually common, as thats about how long the session should last.
GAIA Downloads
Apparently all the downloadable content on the Downloads page, such as the wallpapers and the YIM! Plugin, are not on the server any longer, this could be a glitch or they might be doing file movements. At this time you cannot download any of that content though.
GAIA Polls
There seems to be a glitch right now causing all polls to seem as if they were already voted in, no workarounds available. Please just be patient, they will resolve it as soon as they can most likely.
Sporadic DB Errors
People have been reporting random Database errors tonight, frequenting between when trying to login, trying to view forums, or even view topics. Usually just a refresh or two will resolve past this problem.

Memberlist blank
The memberlist currently isn't showing any members, this happens sometimes and it will be resolved as soon as it can be.
Profiles Down
Currently Profiles are down. This includes Editing/Viewing Profiles, Customize Me, and the General Inventory.
Please be patient and staff will most likely try to resolve it and bring it all back up as soon as they can.
EDIT: It was mentioned in the Q&A in the Journals being down thread, to not try and purchase any hair styles at this time.
Possible glitch causing Extra Gold Accumulation
Due to a few reports (where as I really don't want to take the chance to let it go) where people have reported major jumps in gold counts, and making a large extra per post gold accumulation, I've made this thread for people to report in, before it gets to the point another Economical rollback is required >_<;

Avatar Image Glitches
Apparently something happened last night which caused avatars to either rollback to a rather older image from awhile back, or gives them the Red-X avatar like I've currently got.
The way to work around this is simply to just go into your inventory (customize me page), un-equip all, and start re-equipping. For those still having troubles equipping, such as getting a red-x in the little preview box, it seems clyde is being difficult again, so use this thread in order to work around that problem:

Marketplace Not loading
Currently the market place is having some issues where it isn't showing the main section of the market place or is giving off some sort of page error. It will be resolved as soon as they can resolve it.
Faceless Fishers - GAIA Fishing
Apparently in Single player and Multiplayer fishing, players faces on their avatars are not showing. Where the face of the avatar usually is you just see the shadow face.

Last Login Date - May 2002? eek
Apparently a good few members have noticed in their friendslist, friends of theirs, or even their own personal accounts... that its showing up as last login dates of May 2002. Not sure exactly why this is doing this or when it started exactly, but its definitely odd since GAIA Forums were not around in May of 2002. Just be patient and hopefully this will be resolved soon.
Journal Database Glitch
Journals are apparently giving Database glitches when viewing some journals or comments. Please be patient and they will get them resolved as soon as they can.
UPDATE: For those trying to read comments in their journal or other members' journals, there is a workaround for it where if you click the "Add" link, it will allow you to view other comments as they still do load under the Comments Box.
Randomly Missing Items
With the release of the new system, it seems that some people are having vanishing items. Please confirm any trades and your bank/vending logs to make sure nothing unauthorized was done, and if thats all clear, please look at the Lost Items reporting sticky in Q&A for more information on reporting.
Thank you letters - Sealed again
There is a glitch causing the past few months, perhaps longer than that, the letters to have become Sealed letters again. Please be careful when trading and/or doing marketplace sales, to make sure you aren't selling the incorrect months letter.
PM 2.0 Problems!

UPDATE: Old problem, no longer really taking reports into that thread.
Here is a minor break down of the current problem that really is affecting most people still, The Phantom PM Bubble, meaning you will get the PM notification where as you don't actually have a PM. This is a known problem still affecting alot of people, they will resolve it when they can, please don't report it.

After implementation of the new forum code, posts in many threads that had been edited were reverted to former versions of the posts. It is unknown at this time whether or not these 'timewarped' posts will eventually be restored to the most recent versions as of the time of the forum code going live.
Migration and Pagination
Currently the Migration and Pagination phases are still occurring. This being the processes which were happening since the forum re-code and the beginning of the migration process a week or so back and will continue throughout this weekend and possibly a little after that.
Migration: Threads being migrated are the ones which are probably still missing, or haven't shown back up yet.
Pagination: This happens to the threads which are out of the migration, but might appear to be missing some pages, or at times give you an error along the lines of "Thread is being paginated, please try again later"
Flood Control Error
A few members have been reporting problems with flood control on the forums, where it is not letting them post anymore due to thinking they recently just posted, staff is aware and is looking into it.

Threads - Swissed
Apparently a lot of the older threads from around on gaia are giving off database errors, mainly Swiss database errors, and different ones, such as Swiss.1 or Swiss.3, perhaps they are doing something to segment databases to let things go faster or the like, dunno, just give it some time and they will resolve it as soon as they can ^_^
UPDATE: Apparently the threads which were giving Swiss.# errors earlier are now giving Pagination Errors, there is no estimated time to when these might be resolved.
Unable to confirm creation of Guild
Some users report that they are not able to confirm creation of new guilds, despite having the 20k required to create one. There are no known fixes at this time.
Market - Sort by
Once again apparently the "Sort By" function is not working. Please be patient as there isn't a resolution to this problem yet, and staff will fix it as soon as they can.
Donation - Return page after donating
When returning from PayPal after donating, you get sent to

Journal - New Posts
There is currently a minor glitch showing up when trying to view new posts, made sometime roughly after 4:30AM, it doesn't apparently affect posting new journal entries or replies though.

Market Bids
Apparently, sometimes gold used for bidding is not being returned after someone beats the bid. Hopefully, the system is just lagging.
Viewtopic Lag
People have been noting that when trying to view topics on gaia, that the pages will lag randomly for a second or two at times. This is possibly due to some changes that administration made where signature areas are now completely limited to a 500x500 pixel zone so large sigs do not stretch the page. Due to the manner in how it was done, its possible that this is the reason that is causing pages to lag, especially those that are full (meaning 15 posts) as it does the resizing to each signature on that page.
Viruses and Spyware - Advertisements
I'm currently personally collecting reports on viral and mal-ware reports on gaia, unofficially. Mainly to present to the admins the problem of viruses through advertisements. Please read ALL the steps on the uploading page BEFORE uploading anything:

UPDATE: This problem is pretty much resolved, in the manner of the administration is aware. If you come across any further popups/spy-ware/virus warnings from GAIA, please take a screen shot and whatever advertisement is currently showing on the page, and send it to the administration via the Feedback Form (Contact us link at the bottom of pages)
Gold Counter
The gold counter by the top of the gaia banner, near the logout banner has been reportedly not showing with proper amount. However some have reported that this problem is easily taken care of by logging out and logging back in, as that will seem to reset the counter and show it at the correct count. You can also view the proper amount of gold while you are in stores, however that way will only show the proper amount in the stores, it does not fix the main counter at the top by the banner.
Old Maintenance Issues still unresolved
The FAQ page is now currently containing a lot of broken URLs since the remapping.

Password Recovery - Database Error
Apparently for some people when trying to recover a password using the Password Recovery feature, they are encountering errors after entering all the correct information, mostly along the lines of being 'unable to retrieve user data'
Thread Subscription Problems
With the thread subscriptions coming back up, it appears there are still problems with it, these are the problems that appear to still be affecting people:
Members are logged out when trying to add/delete subscribed threads to their lists
Some members are having threads disappear from their lists
Some members are supposedly unable to add any to their list at all although they stay logged in
New members are unable to subscribe to threads period
Some users are unable to unsubscribe to threads from the Subscribed Threads page
Threads Disappear at times if you view your subscribed threads list within a few minutes of the last reply made to it
Gaia Polls - Error in Posting
Currently there is a glitch in poll creating/editing where you cannot use any ' character (that being an apostrophe) or else you will get an error.
GAIA Journals - Journal Listings
Apparently the google ads are back in the Journal Listings page, even for donators, which is now making the three links for type of Journal listings disappear.

Re-Create Character
Users are experiencing a glitch with re-creating their avatar after deleting it. The image to re-create their character shows up reversed and isn't clickable. The blue border around the image though, is clickable, or users can simply use this url: http://reinhart.gaiaonline.com/profile/character.php to re-create their characters.
Arethic Minor side note. Its best recommended to use the following: Internet Explorer for Windows OS or Safari for Mac systems Those are the browsers recommended to use for at least the character recreation
Multi-position items that don't display all equip options *
Many users are noticing issues with having several multi-position items in their inventory and the options to equip in various positions only showing up on one of them. Workarounds have been found, and are listed in this thread:

Moderator Lists Blank

GGN 2.0 Upgrade
Its been mentioned in the Captains Guild and possibly other places that the update to GGN 2.0 will be starting most likely this week. Its been noted that during this upgrade the GGN may be down/unaccessible during this time, and while the GGN is still accessible its been noted that the GGN might lag some during other updates to it for finalizing of the GGN 2.0.
UPDATE: Essentially with the new GGN out, the list of the old glitches essentially has been resolved it does seem, so listing them here resolved all at once (Please note that i'll try to get a full thorough list up from Dark's reporting sticky when I can on exactly what IS still a current problem and new and what not):

Deleting Posts
Be very careful when you click the delete button in a guild for a post, especially if its the first post of the thread. Currently there is a glitch where whether you click Yes or No, it will delete it either which way, so if you accidental click the delete button and didn't want to, make sure to click the Back button in the browser, Do Not click "No"
Creating a Guild Glitch
Some people have noted that upon creating their guilds, that they were not added to the memberlist, leaving the guild without the captain, leaving the guild unaccessible for most options.
Polls Error(GGN/Forums Glitch)
There is a glitch in the coding where its not properly processing apostrophe's in poll title/options, so you cant use the ' character at all at this time.
New Topic Button
If you are in a thread in your guild, and go to make a new topic, there is a good chance you will be booted back to the GGN Guilds Index Page.
Pagination - Deleted Pages
There is currently a glitch were as when you delete a lot of posts from threads, or even threads from a forum apparently, that pagination doesn't actually go back to show the lack of pages.
Topic Locking - Header Image
When you delete/lock/unlock a topic in your guild, the header image instead of being the Default GGN banner, shows up as the market place banner.
Not Enough Gold - Join Glitch
Some people report that no matter what amount of gold they have set as the join amount, some members still are fed back with the error of not having enough gold to join.
