IC Updates
December 19th That boy's ... personality is developing. And if someone doesn't teach him the merits of modesty and control and not flashing porn to little kids in the streets... well. Do you think DCorp has an exchange policy?
June 25th Narayan is certainly getting bigger. Which is good, because now he can talk ... ... WHAT THE CRAP DOES HE HAVE IN HIS BACK POCKET?!
May 27th Apparantly, I'm a father. Of an elephant. That would do wonders to hurt my pride except he isn't mine. An elephant. Huh.

Appearance His hair is worn shorter now, and his clothing appears to be a little bit more expensive. Silks and pure cotton only, he's grown to fit his nose a little bit more- and his ears don't appear to be so large either. Full of a little bit more fire than he was before, it shows in the colors he chooses for himself. A little bit too groomed, it's not his fault. Blame JD? He wears sunscreen and the like now, and appears very, very disciplined- when it comes to making sure he stays groomed and healthy.
Personality Narayan hasn't changed too much from what he was as a toddler. Still generous and a little bit of a bimbo when it comes to work, he doesn't understand that writing, reading and all that other "boring" stuff can be good for you! Impatient and a little bit unfocused when it comes to carrying through with his tasks, he's not the type to lead nor to plan. Rather, he's good at following and entertaining people when it comes down to it.
He doesn't understand what's right or wrong, really. He has a weakness for woman and very pretty people- incredibly shallow, he doesn't really like the ugliness of anything, and doesn't mind stating so bluntly.
Frivolous, yet practical, he likes the luxuries that JD provides for him- and so he does tend to work hard when he's got a good bribe set before him... which isn't saying too much, I guess.

History of the White Elephant
White elephants are endangered, that is... true white elephants are. This quest focuses on the asian elephant. The phrase white elephant means "expensive, though useless, object not easily disposed of", which actually does have traces in history. The Thai king would bestow white elephants to friends and enemies, and because they have no apparant use, the upkeep of the royal pet would slowly drain resources away.
Anyways.
There is no true 'white' elephant. A white elephant is marked on several categories (mentioned below). The first captured one in Thailand was in 1491-- so they've been 'domesticated' for quite a while! XD
Qualities used to judge a white elephant
All a white elephant needs to be called a white elephant happens to be light mottles on the hide. From then on, there is a series of requirements that determine just how white the elephant is. (XD Imagine trying this on humans!)
The amount of lightness and whiteness to the hide, and the tone of other mottled shades. The most common being the usual gray and brown. The palate's color is supposed to be lotus pink, with large cow like eyes rimmed in white and with jet black irises.
For the DCorp, I wanted to incorporate many of the special qualities that mark the white elephant as an almost subspecies.
Toenails are best red (which Narayan will paint!) with a tail whose hair touches the ground and the longer the trunk, the better! Three hours emerging from a single pore is supposed to be a very good sign.
Intelligence is tested as well. Well mannered and gentleness is very good. But normally, it is. ^^ "An intelligent elephant, for example, will run ahead of the pack at bathing time and enter the waters before they are churned and muddied by its older companions. When eating grass, a well-mannered elephant selects choice tufts and elegantly swishes them on either side of its trunk before eating, thus discarding irksome insects. "
Cost of a White Elephant
" Each elephant has two mahouts, one of whom is often many kilometers away in Samut Prakhan gathering choice grasses. An elephant may consume over 300 kilograms of grass in a day, a large 30-kilogram basket of bananas and up to six kilograms of sugar cane. Coconuts are a special treat.
Dietary supplements are equally epic. An experiment with feeding bananas laced with a couple of vitamin and iron pills worked only once before the elephants became aware of the ruse. They promptly rejected -- with remarkable precision -- all further tampered fruits. Unfortunately, the alternative is an annual encounter with a syringe of truly elephantine proportions. On that black day, M.L. Phiphatanachatr is treated as an "uncertain friend," and his collusive charges are quick to trumpet news of his prickly antics. "

Appearance Tall, on the slender side and asian in built and in features, JD isn't handsome. But he can still be considered good to look at. With tanned skin, sharp shoulders and enough length that alone, he can look taller than the average man, what clothes he wears always appears to be one step from being shrugged off. The shirt with the a button or two unbuttoned, the tie that is worn just slightly crooked. It explains him, really.
Dark brown hair that is worn just a smidgen too long, it stops at his neck and at his ears. A face more suited for a feline with slanted dark brown eyes, a smirk and a straight nose that hasn't seen a trace of violence in much too long, he looks like a rich, pampered boy. Which he is.
JD's taste in clothing is expensive. Actually, everything is. Coming from a family where money has never been the issue, he enjoys pampering himself. His skin, his hair, his nails... so it's all in place.
Kind of annoying, really.
Personality JD could be your stereotypical old fashioned tight laced dangerous and just slightly bad boy blooded rich guy. Except now he has an elephant for a son, a boyfriend he's trying to patch things up with and a strong suspicion that somewhere, out where, a girl with kitsune ears is laughing at him from behing a computer screen.
So all is not well, I'm afraid.

Earako smile Earako was met at a resteraunt- the first other Dcorp ... thing, that Narayan laid his eyes on. He's not sure whether he likes her because she's pretty, or because she had this huge red dragon with her- he was even allowed to pet the scary monster! In slight awe of the older girl, he doesn't seem to care that she isn't quite a 'booby' yet. It's alright. She's made up for it with ultra coolness.
Aysel smile Aysel was met at the beach-- Narayan isn't too sure of her because their visit was cut short, but he thinks that she's good enough. Cute, slightly odd looking but really sweet. Stupid too, come to think of it-- who listens to a complete stranger? Narayan wants to get this girl into trouble.
Roulette smile Narayan sees Roulette as an accomplice he got in trouble with at the art gallery... but that's fine! They stick by it together thick and thin! Right? Right? He likes the boy, and although they've only met twice, wants to see him properly again! Hopefully with no adults arond... *3*
Zyanya biggrin The girl who promised to let Narayan know when she got boobies! Yes. A very long title. First impressions are something, after all. Unsure exactly of how he feels about this person, he's had a very interesting conversation with her and it was with her that he found his dream job-- an artist. Yeah. We'll work that one out later. He admires her extra arms and finds her fascinating to talk to.
Delta smile Met her over a brief period of time, having lunch. So he's not sure about her yet. Still, she's friendly-- and he responds well to friendliness. He wants to meet her again, that's for sure. Because she's the first he's spoken to dragons about. Maybe he'll find out later just how well they get along.
Chath smile The boy is awesome! Not only does he have this neat black dragon, but he can grow extra body parts! Zyanya's brother so automatically a good person, Narayan's not quite sure of him yet, he's too overwhelmed. More meetings will probably ease this one out.

JD and Narayan live in a traditional large Korean home which has been renovated and built with much fuss and aplomb. With five main bedrooms, about four or five smaller rooms and three gardens situated in the center of it all, it's hard to miss.
Unfortunatley (in JD's eyes, at least) two of JD's older sisters and older brothers are constant visitors. Which means the house isn't really their own. Household servants, parents and other strange crazy people also reside inside the maze.
Or something like that.

Narayan's room overlooks a miniature garden, one he has also claimed for himself. Empty except for modest furnishings, compared to that, he has already started working on the garden! With an odd cherry blossom tree growing in the center, it's got more life than it should, and is now a strong central force of the house's personality.
His room is lined with simple paper, sliding doors seperating it from a library of sorts. Narayan seems to prefer the simplicity of the room to the bawdier one of his 'cousins', but still. Maybe someone should buy the boy something? XD
Purple Octi Octopus are purple. After a rather traumatizing incident at the pharmacy, Narayan managed to sweet talk his father into getting him something pretty and somewhat odd looking. Purple is a nice color... and look! It has lots of legs too. :3

Time requirements will be calculated from teh date your journal is up.
Playdates are mostly just RP, consiting of 5 posts from you with another person. Or, 6-10 journal RPs by yourself (6 if they're really intricate and detailed n such. XD)
The Journal entry is for ICD-corp's logs, (Or us to go in and be like Okay thats whats going on) They're basically a summarization of your child. Wether he/she has anger problems or is just a little angel. (This helps me give them a pose and whatnot when growing)
Journal RP, as stated in the PD section are RPs by yourself where something significant happens. Say your child gets lost or ends up in the hospital. Things you generally can't/won't do in a PD.
Child: 5-7
Second stage, child is assigned an egg to take care of with the help of the lab (it's left in the lab to keep required heating)
Requirements:
* 2 months length September 25th
* Pass 1 special skill test
* 1 egg visit
* 4 Playdates --> Met the 5 post min req.
* 1 from child. --> done involving almost brother.
*Choice of another Journal entry, or a Journal RP
* Vaccinations --> In Progress
* 1 journal entry from Parent's POV --> Writing Up
Preteen: 8-12
Third stage, the egg has hatched and children begin attending training classes.
Requirements:
3 Months length
Another special skill relating to their DNA (if possible), able to give a few facts about their dragon. Knowlage of atleast 5 battle stances, and 5 spells. 5 Playdates, 1 Journal entry from parents, 1 from child's.
Choice of another 2 child Journal entry, or two Journal RPs.
Teen: 13-16
Fourth stage, Children begin attending compititions and applying their teachings. They also start more advanced classes.
Requirements:
Young adult: 17-21
Fith stage, Children continue compition at more advanced levels. Also undergoing trials assigned by the D-Corp
Requirements:
Adult: 22+
Adults start up jobs at D-corp. Some are permitted to live outside of the main building, Assignments are still given out. More will be known when this stage is reached.
