Squeak.. squeak.. squeak.. There was a tiny, thin sound emitting from the duo that walked down the glossy hallway. "Roule! Gosh, your shoes are so irritating. I think I should have brought your sandals." hissed Nev, glaring at the boy's shoes, which had bright red lights flashing from the soles. She sighed in exasperation, and turned around to one painting, named L'Accordéoniste - Picasso.
"See! Isn't that a beautiful piece, mia vita?" She chuckled at the boy's inquisite expression, which soon turned into a mix of confusion and frustration.
"It don't look like anyting Ma.." he replied in a whiny voice, attempting to glare daggers at the painting. It was just a buncha scribbles! He himself could do much better than this.. Maybe he should give something to the 'ar garery' as Ma had called it.. If this was here, this bunch of doodles, he could make it in no problem!
Nev scowled and hugged him closer to peer at the painting. "No no, can you see anything in the painting? At all? The artist designed so that people see different things in this painting!"
"..uh.. I see.. a snakey!" He replied, smiling at the thin wisp of colour emitting from the two triangular figures. It still looked like a bunch of shapes and doodles though..
Peering at a small plaque underneath the image, it read:
Quote: Please do not touch the above image. Uweh? Don't touch? Why? Pondered the Boy, staring up at the massive painting.

Narayan followed closely and silently behind JD, wearing the appropriate expression of mild interest that his father approved of. Some of the paintings were indeed beautiful, but he found the place frustrating and annoying. What was the point of gazing at beautiful art, if you could not own it?
A gallery, in Narayan's mind, was a frightful teaste that left the viewer unsatisfied and alone, more and more angry at the fact that what he wanted couldn't be own. Not the original, at any rate.
And JD had told him that fakes were unacceptable in feal life.
"And this." JD said quietly, pointing at the painting. "Is by Picasso. Remember the other piece you've seen?"
The elephant boy nodded. Actually he didn't, but he remembered seeing something like this before. Hey, he could draw like that too! Sort of. Not as complicated, but it looked stupid.
"Yes, father." he repeated, his gaze distracted by another couple. The boy looked strange. Too furry really, but fun too. Deciding that this was much more interesting than any stupid painting, he sidled closer.
"Pretty."

Roule turned to the voice, to be met with a large trunk in his face. "UWEH!" He squeaked before almost toppling onto the ground. Giving a large scowl before getting up as Nev spun around and flinched.
"Awww," cooed the girl and as she looked at the elephant boy opposite her. "heya. Sorry for that, Roule's a bit jumpy." She smiled and nudged Roule who was dusting himself off, looked away and pursed his lips.
"Am not..." he muttered before turning back to Nara. "You weird." he retorted, as it was the first thing that came to mind before gesturing to his trunk, "is dat heavy as well? I met som oder guy who had a heavy ting too.." The weasel's voice was slightly slurred, with a slight lisp. It didn't work well with his scowl.

A BOOBIE! Narayan couldn't believe his luck. She was young too, which meant that she probably smelled better than the old ones. Beaming, he decided that he could look over the choice of clothing with a shy smile. He liked these people. They were so soft and nice to look at.
"Hello." he said cheekily, a smile on his face that was partially hidden by the trunk. Maybe she would give him a hug? Oooh. That would be nice. How come he hadn't met many other boobies until now? Well... one other, but she had been accompanied by a girl in skates. And skates were awesome.
"Heavy?" he asked, frowning. His nose arched a bit as if trying to get it's bearings. "No." he said. "Is that heavy?" he pointed to the tail. And the ears. And then the second bit hit him. Hmm. Heavy thing?
Narayan thought he might have an idea who this one was talking about.
JD looked over then. But only because he had realized he was talking to himself. "Narayan." he said, frowning as he walked over. "I'm sorry. Is he bothering you?"

Nev waved back ethusiastically. Another kid, just her luck! Roule needed more friends anyways. She straightened up to look at JD and shook her head. "Nah, Narayan's just chatting. I wish ROULE," she nudged the weasel boy again, who grunted in response, "would talk a bit more."
Roule put on a frowny face before looking over the elephant boy. "Nnhm.. hi." He said sheepishly, looking down. He hated this socializing stuff! It didn't work at all. Shaking his head he responded quietly, "No really.. They very light!"
With that, he shook his tail energetically and gave a small grin. How could his tail be heavy! He hoped it didn't grow any heavier otherwise he wouldn't be able to lift it. Looking again at Nara's trunk, Roule pondered on the boy's answer. "But it look heavy. You're funny looking, just like dat other guy.."
Nev pursed her lips and nudged him again. "Don't be rude Roule, you need more friends!"

Look, this woman seemed happy to have her here! Beaming at her, he turned back to the boy. Well, he was kind of pretty too. Although unless one day he would magically turn out with boobs, he wouldn't be as pretty.
"Wierd?" he asked, confused. Now what was wrong with this boys taste? He was damn handsome. It was the rest of the species without the extra nose and ears that were... well, ugly. "Narayan." he said. That was one word he could pronounce well. "I'm handsome."
Hansemm. It was a good word. JD didn't like to use it, but he had heard his aunt used it and liked it. One of these days the boy was going to change his name to Hansemm elephant. Then the world would know what he was!
All but batting his eyes at Nev. he smiled. "I be friends!" he exclaimed.
JD grimaced.

Nev giggled slightly. Ahh, what a cute kid. She looked at JD, "Awww, Nara's so cute! You're so lucky to have a kid like him."
Roule looked at his nails before replying. He looked over Nara again and put on a curious face. "Hansem? Ma, wuzzat?" He looked back to the girl. She grinned and winked at her boy. "Oh hmm, it means that he looks good. I believe I concur with that statement."
Roule considered it for a few seconds. "Hansem.. You hansem and Roule hansem! I likey this word." He repeated it a few more times before stopping and pausing and looking up at JD. "Who he?" He asked to the elephant.
Roule watched him intently, looking around the man and his son.

She liked him, did she? Deciding that he was one step closer to getting that hug, he beamed back. The boy was fun too. Thank goodness he wasn't some quit witted sharp tongued shell carrying boy. Hmm. Wait. Narayan knew someone like that!
With an assessing eye, Narayan looked the weasal over. Actually, he was, kind of. Narayan could understand why people would go for him. Hmm. With him, maybe Narayan would attract more attention.
"Hansem." he sad, agreeing. "He?" Narayan looked back at his father. He was... well. He was. "Jay Dee." See? He knew his alphabet.
Sort of.
"Daddee?" kind of. He didn't seem to like being called daddy too much, though.
JD nodded, brisk. "My name is JD. Narayan is my son, and thank you." he grinned, proud. "Roule isn't so bad." part animal too, was he? How... interesting. "I'm still learning the ropes with this one." he said, grinning. "He. We... we're not biological." hmmm. Hopefully that came out the right way.

Nev gave a wolfish grin. "Well, Roule doesn't really take after me either. I think he's part.. weasel? Perfect match I say! I mean, honestly, where did he learn to frown like that?!"
Roule stopped and looked at her, eyes wide. He blew a raspberry and turned back to Nara. "Uhh.. I'm Roulette.. or Roule.. or someting." Nodding and looking up, Roule thought about the man's name. Jaydee? Fun to say. Daddy? Why wasn't Ma a daddy? He couldn't figure it out.
"Ma, why aren't you a daddy?" He asked quizzically, turning back to the girl. She blinked at the question. "Why.. aren't I a daddy? Uhh, 'cause I'm a girl. And girls can only be Ma's."
The weasel didn't really get that. Afterall, he didn't really see too much of a line between a girl and boy. Ma kept telling him that anyways. Nodding towards Nara, he smiled slightly in approval. He looked interesting at least. Other people were boring or mean, or both!
"Um.. why you guys here? Likey shapes too?" Roule pointed the Picasso 'doodle' and frowned. "I don't likey the shapes.."

So all Ma's looked like her, did she? All Ma's were boobies. Hmm. He turned to JD with just as quizzical a question. "I want Ma." he said, frowning. Demanding. Because, as nice as his aunts were... well. Maybe having his very own Ma would mean he would get more hugs. Among other stuff.
JD smirked. A mother, was it? They'd see how Kyle would feel about dressing up as a woman for the both of them. Hmm. Kinky. "Weasel?" he asked, interested. "How is it that you're rearing him?" he blinked, wondering if it was too rude.
Well, it was already out in the open. "Narayan was almost foistered upon me." he said. "But, it's been good." now that he had given information out, maybe she would too.
Narayan nodded. "Ugly." he said, frowning. Looking at the other side of the room, he pointed at a painting. That one, the one with the grapes was kind of pretty. And see? Pointing to the one next to the picasso, he tilted his head. This one had a woman in it, in purple.
Grapes and purple went together more than this ugly piece.
"Wrong order." Narayan said, fitting the words around his mouth. It was in the wrong order.

Roule grinned, "Well I want Ma to be Daddy.. I don like Ma.." he squeaked as Nev glared at him. She smiled and shrugged softly, "Weasel he is. Haha. Both metaphorically and literally too." Nev gave another grin, "Aww? Nara's too cute though. I requested Roule from the DCORP guys, but they obviously didn't include the sweet, sensitive part of the child trait." Nev turned to the painting that Nara was pointing to.
"Well it depends.. Some people won't like it, but some will. Can you see anything in the painting?" Roule sighed and nudged his mom aside to stand next to Nara. "Ya.. see Ma, he says ugly too." His burgundy eyes cast over the painting, looking for more interesting shapes. It was just a bunch of trianguls.. and skuars.. Not pretty at all."
Nev sighed, grunting slightly. "What painting do you want to see then, mia vita?" The weasel flushed and glared at the girl. "Don.. call me dat! Peepul.."
Giving a glance to the next painting, Roule frowned even further. "That not nice looking either.. Ma.. I don't like pictures.. I draw better.." ((Yay, finished! Sorry for the long response wait. xd

Mia vita? Was that his name, or something? Giving the boy a curious look, Narayan blinked. Maybe it was his name.
"D-Corp?" JD asked, blinking. He let out a short laugh. "Same here. That is, Narayan is a..." he frowned. He had met a few parents so far, but this was a first to find one similar to Narayan in age. "It is delightful to meet you." he said, one again for more emphasis. Because it was true.
Maybe Narayan would meet more children more his age, than the other stranger ones. And besides. This one was a boy. Narayan needed more male friends.
Narayan grinned at the question. Leaning towards mia vita, he tilted his head. One of these things don't belong with the other. He knew that song! Humming it lightly, Narayan pointed out the two paintings.
"Mivita." he said. "Those two?" They belonged together. And no one else was doing anything about it.
So maybe they should.

Nev nodded. "Believe me, it's awesome to meet you too. I haven't met too many parents or kids. Been busy.." She shook her head and went to look at the newest painting the kids were picking apart.
Yes! Roule was finally getting friends. He was such a little loner, at such a young age too. Probably the frown, she thought, it probably drives everyone off.
Chuckling at the thought, she went over and looked at the painting. "Geez.." she murmured quietly.
Roule looked a takenback. "Don call me tat.. Ma calls it all the time and itz weird.." He put on a pout. "She tol me it mins my life in.. uh.." "Italian." said Nev, guffawing inside. "Aa.. And it's em..baruzing.." The weasel spat out the word before turning to Nara. "Uhh my.. name's Roule." He nodded, "not meeavida.."
"Two?" Roule looked up, confusion glassing his eyes, focusing on the new subject. He didn't get all this artsy stuff. Maybe he just wasn't that sort of person. Gee.

JD grinned. "We need to get together more often." he said, nodding his head.
Well, it had sounded like a boobie name anyways. Narayan shrugged, nodding his head. "Rool." he said. "They don't belong." had the boy not watched that sesame street game before? "That one." he said, pointing to picasso. "Needs to be _there_." he repointed to the one on the other side. "That one, needs to be here."
He sounded just like JD, when he pretended to know what he was talking about. Narayan looked at Roule expectantly. Well, wasn't the weasal going to do something about it?
They needed to, for the sake of mankind... or something.

Nev nodded, giving a warm look to JD and Nara.
Roule watched his fingers point to different directions. "Uweh? I don get it.." He paused, scanning the painting. Then giving an indifferent shrug, the boy went behind the elephant and looked from his stand-point.
"..Don get it. Ecskplane Nara." He repeated to the elephant. Why did they have to move? Why were they out of order? That was wierd too. He cocked his head, strands of blonde falling to the side and looked at it sideways, but giggled. The grapes looked like a big hair! And the lady looked weird.. But she always looked weird.
Though.. in that other picture.. The shapes looked like they were falling sideways! Wow! His head was lopsided for a few minutes, considering each shape and line in the painting. Ma was right! It was interesting afterall.
