Hobbies:Fairy Tales - When it comes to the types of media that Lena consumes, she gravitates to things that are pure and whimsical and romantic. This has left her with a passion for fairy tales that has no sign of going away even as she gets a bit older. Disney is a favorite, but she also finds the original versions fascinating, and versions from other cultures, and she's able to look past any grisly bits because love and justice always conquer all in the end, even if it's not in the expected way. She appreciates other stories with good romances and similar themes, like modern fairy tales and fantasy books, but she has to be careful, because she refuses to get emotionally invested in something only to find out that the author is trying to be edgy and evil prevails even to the end of the series.
Tabletop RPGs - Lena's love of fantasy found a new outlet when her middle school DnD club advertised a Faewild campaign, and she was able to make a character to insert herself into an amazing story. Even now, she hasn't quite outgrown her characters being slightly mary-sue orphan princesses who are chosen ones. Luckily she hasn't run into too much group drama yet and she's been having a great time befriending a heap of monsters that are supposed to be enemies, and now and again fighting evil so she can get to that ever-coveted happily ever after.
Baking - Lena's been baking since she was two or three. Of course it started with just licking spoons and maybe stirring a bowl now and then under heavy supervision, but she loved it even back then. Her mom started baking more to keep Lena happy, and they've been doing it together ever since. Now Lena's a decent baker in her own right. She mostly sticks to the basics still, like cupcakes, or chocolate chip cookies, and although she's starting to learn some techniques to do more complicated stuff, and more beautiful decorations, the simple comfort food that she can whip up in an hour on the weekend is still her favorite.
Virtues:Empathetic - Lena is a sensitive soul, and on top of that, her healthy imagination makes it second nature for her to put herself in other people's shoes. She can easily pick up on the general mood of people or groups around her, and match it, which makes her a generally likeable go with the flow kind of person, and also a great listener. On top of this, she carries a soft kind of optimism with her, that she tries to share with people who are down without being overbearing or toxicly positive.
Imaginative - Lena has always been known as the imaginative, creative one, and she shows no sign of stopping. She's always telling stories in her head, or making inferences, and this makes her an ideal person to have around in situations that require quick thinking or thinking outside the box. It can also be entertaining to hear her thoughts on how the man she just met might be secretly a prince, or how a flower she found looks like a sheep. She's someone you want to have around if you're interested in hearing a creative and different perspective on things.
Caretaker - Lena is a helpful and caring person with the deep desire to make sure that everyone around her is okay. Combined with her love of baking, this has made her somewhat of a mom friend even at her age. She's the kind of person who will show up with a plate of sweets if someone's having a bad day, or just because. Of course she's a great listener who goes out of her way to check on people, equipped with plenty of questionable TikTok mental health knowledge, and even if things are going fairly smoothly and there's not some kind of crisis, she's gotten into the habit of trying to make sure everyone's had enough food, and water, and breaks, and things like that.
Flaws:Spacey - Lena is the textbook definition of head in the clouds. At any given moment, she's off trying to figure out if some stranger that she met on the street is secretly a demigod based on the presented evidence, and that leaves considerably less of her focus for more practical tasks. She gets startled out of her thoughts on a very frequent basis, and if you expect her to focus on every single word that comes out of your mouth, you'll find her a terrible conversation partner, and she likewise struggles with other tasks that require particularly linear lines of thought. Even activities she enjoys aren't immune to this. She's made her fair share of cakes with salt instead of sugar, and has burned plenty, too.
Overthinker - It's not just passerbys on the streets that Lena's mind turns into gods and princes. Sometimes her imagination takes a more realistic, darker turn. Leaky faucets turn into structural failures in the house that will leave her and her family out on the street. Then there's the assumptions about people that can lead to awkward social consequences. If someone's upset and they don't tell her why, it's obviously her fault. If they do tell her why, she'll be staying up all night fretting about what's happening to them while her internal narrative adds more to the story that may or may not be true. Texts and social media are especially terrible. There's so much content out of context that there are a million different ways to interpret, and Lena's assumptions provide that context in ways that may or may not be accurate.
Emotional - She's a crier. She cries when she's happy. She cries when she's sad. She cries when she reads books and at the end of movies, even when it's a kids movie that she's seen a million times. Especially when it's a kids movie that she's seen a million times. She cries when she's walking down the street and she thinks about those movies too much. It doesn't matter if it's appropriate. She can't stop the tears. She had no poker face. If anyone is uncomfortable with those displays of emotions, they'll likely be uncomfortable with her, or have trouble taking her seriously.
