Lately, there’s been an uptick in unnatural rainbows. The sky almost regularly seems to be covered with some sort of pastel shimmer. The clouds have a rainbow sheen to them during all weather, and more than once you can even make out a rainbow from just the moon’s beams. Scientists claim there are just many water crystals in the air–and that checks out. During the frequent snows, it’s common to observe soft rainbow snowflakes that catch the light like tiny suncatchers. Even fallen snow seems to have an iridescent sheen to it. It’s not a common occurrence, but it’s happening often enough that you're likely to see it at least once this season.
…If she knew how to paint, she would absolutely paint this scene…but. That wasn’t her forte, but…this wasn’t something she could simply take a photo of either…it was something that would just have to stay in her memory…
…And that…honestly. Felt like a joke sometimes.
With a sigh, Lysithea shook her head and then glanced behind her, feeling a Page nearby. Quietly, she began to walk towards the aura, hoping to meet whoever it was instead of them having to seek her out…provided she was being sought out…and.
When she saw the Page, her eyes lit up at the familiar symbol on the pretty blue dress.
“Oh! Hello there.”

The sky was rainbow. Rainbow! Almere was getting more and more used to lots of things being possible, but most of the time, the sky was still blue. At least, the sky was usually still blue on Earth. Looking up, she wondered if some kind of portal had opened up to another planer. It would be even better if a portal had opened up to another realm. She'd been reading about the Faewild in one of her DnD books, and it was basically a prismacolor reflection of the normal world. She didn't see any fairies yet, but maybe they were just hiding. She did see a senshi, though, and she waved, and smiled, but then as she got closer she slowed down. She blinked. "You're not-" she said, and then cut herself off and blinked again. The colors were there. The symbols. "Sorry. I know you're a senshi, it's just that you look exactly like a Lysithea knight."

Lysithea tried and failed to hide a smile and shook her head, thought ended up giving a small chuckle. “I am a Senshi, yeah. And uh. You are a Lysithea Page if I’m not mistaken, which I know I’m not…and the reason I look like a Lysithea Knight is most likely because I’m Lysithea, the Senshi of Unicorns. Who might you be? I haven’t met you before!”
She was adorable. And quite knowledgeable too, which was always good to see.
“May I ask, how old are you? I feel like all of my Knights are very young, and you absolutely fit that bill…” Not that it was a bad thing…it was just…
Interesting.

"You're the Senshi of Unicorns?" asked Almere, all curiosity. That would explain the unicorn horn, and also why she was so pretty. "And of Lysithea, the world? Woah." Almere didn't know very much about senshi. She hadn't known that they had things that they were the senshi of. She was exited to learn, though. "That's amazing!" Maybe Almere could tell her about the twins, and all the others. Hopefully they could all be friends, and have parties up in the forgotten castles, and help out that one girl who didn't have a place to live. "My name is Almere, I'm a page of Lysithea." Although Lysithea had already seemed to figure that much out. "And I'm fourteen, yeah." Although she didn't feel like she was young. She missed being a little kid sometimes.

“I am! Ah, Princess of Unicorns, actually. If you have a little time after this, I would be happy to take you up to Lysithea and show you around, or we can reschedule…I would like to be able to get to know you! I want to know all of my Knights if I can. It’s lovely to meet you, Almere.”
And it really was. She grinned slightly and glanced back up at the strange sky. “I haven’t been patrolling much, but have you been seeing this sky often? I suppose we should just expect strange things around the holidays, but I tell you, I’m not sure that I’ll ever really get used to it. How long have you been a Page? Are you finding answers all right? Do you have any questions I can help with?”

A Princess! "Oh," exclaimed Almere, eyes going wide. She dropped into a perfect curtsy, head bowed slightly and skirts pulled out to the sides. When she'd been younger, she'd practiced curtsying in front of her mirror after reading a few books set in finishing schools, and the skill was finally coming in handy. "Your Highness!" She knew all the proper ways to address royalty, too. "It's so nice to meet you! And you're the Princess! Of our whole planet?" Almere could barely contain her excitement. "What's your favorite part of Lysithea? So far I've been up to Almere, and Halle, and Mechelen. Stirling said I can come up to her Wonder sometime, too, I think it's another castle." She was talking fast, asking questions fast. She'd never had the chance to talk to a real life space princess before and she wanted to make the most of it. "Also, if there's castles everywhere, then where do you live? Or, where would you live if you were up there? I know you probably live in a house. Do you have a throne? A crown? Your own unicorn?"

“Oh…oh gosh, Almere please don’t…ah…” Lysithea’s face had gone red and she shook her head slowly, not really knowing how to react. Nobody had ever curtseyed to her and…as adorable as it was, she felt highly uncomfortable. “It’s…not a planet, Lysithea is actually one of the moons of Jupiter. So that’s pretty cool, but uh…yeah. I’m the Senshi who cares for the moon, please, Just call me Lysithea, or Talia, if I’m not powered up, no your highness or anything like that…”
She shook her head and covered her face for a moment before shaking her head. “Yeah. I…oh, you know Stirling? She’s lovely. There’s a castle at the part of Lysithea that I always end up visiting and lots of different animals…I don’t have a unicorn, but I know one. I had to save her from some Chaos that had come onto the moon…and a broken leg…she…she’s not very careful, honestly. I do live in a house, yes….uh…when you come up, you can see everything, I promise!”

"You," Almere blinked again, this time looking visibly disappointed. "You don't want me to call you a Princess or anything?" Her lower lip trembled. "Oh. Sorry, I just spent so much time practicing my curtsies and everything in case I ever got to meet a princess." She took a deep breath. It was okay. She could be polite and respect people's wishes. Maybe some of the knights with the perfect outfits would let her use titles on them instead, even if it was just for pretend. "But. Anyway. Um." Another breath, she stood up straight, and then she did manage to refocus. "That's amazing! That you know a unicorn, and that you have a favorite castle. I'd like to come see it sometime, yes! Of course!"

“Oh…uh…” Lysithea hesitated and shook her head. “Almere, you don’t have to…but if it makes you happy, I won’t stop you! But I don’t want you to think that you have to do something like that…and I just…don’t know how to react, really…”
She scratched the back of her neck and hesitated, looking thoughtful. “Do you have a little time now? Would you like to see another part of Lysithea? We don’t have to stay long, but there are some really cute critters up there too that I would love to show you…does your Wonder have anything living?”
It was a question she hadn’t even thought about asking but…now that she had, she desperately wanted to know.

She was saying it was okay, and Almere was smiling again, just like that. "Thank you, Princess!" And she was getting invited to go to space, not just at some vague point in the future, but right now? Almere nodded three times in a row. "Yeah, I can go!" Her mom thought she was at a friend's house, so she wouldn't worry. "I haven't seen any animals on my Wonder yet, no. I'll keep looking, though, okay? I'll look really hard next time, and tell you if I find anything."
