Since Almere was trying to secretly get stronger so that she could surprise her cousins, she was going for a run. It turned out to be a lot more fun than it sounded. She just needed to transform, and then she was zooming.

She knew that she was a unicorn themed knight more than she was a classic superhero, but with how all the scenery was rushing past her, she felt like Miraculous Ladybug sprinting and hopping around all the streets of Paris like it was a jungle gym. When she tried it, it turned out she could jump just as high as Ladybut, too.

All she needed was the powers that let her undo all of the damage that the bad guys had caused. She knew that the Squires had magic. She wondered it it was anything like that. She'd have to ask.

She was about halfway through that thought when she saw a girl with some kind of ears, and a tail, and an aura. Wait. Were there actually animal themed superheros as part of this?

There was also-

"A horn," she breathed, and smiled as she stepped forwards. "Hi. I'm Almere, a page. Are you a unicorn superhero?"

That wasn't an answer to her question. Actually, she was getting a lot more questions. They weren't bad questions, but her eyes did get wider, because the more she looked, the more it looked like Ersa's tail was real.

She'd thought it was just part of her magic outfit!

Did that mean there weren't just animal superheros, but animal people?

"Lysithea is a person?" she asked first. "Yeah, I'm a Lysithea knight, or, well, Page? But I'm new to it, I'm still trying to figure out what was going on. I heard Lysithea is a place, and Almere is the part of it that's, like, my keep? My Wonder?"

On top of telling her to train, Halle had been trying to tell her about space.

"But I've never been there." A second passed. "Have you?"

Then, the more important question. "Also, what's a senshi, exactly? I know you're magic like us, and our friends, I saw some during this fight? That broke out? But I still don't know exactly."

Not from here? Not from Earth? If there were places in the universe where there were half-unicorn girls, then what else was out there? Were dragons real? Fairies? There were unicorns on her dress. Would she be able to see a unicorn on Lysithea?

Ersa was saying it was pretty there.

That was hat she was saying that Almere understood the most. Senshi protected worlds. Okay. Something bad had happened on Ersa's world a long time ago. Okay.

It was a lot to think about, and it was poetic and something out of a story that Ersa was the one who survived all the bad things, but it was also sad to think about.

"I'm glad you didn't die," she said. "And It's okay if you don't know everything. Neither do I. We can learn together?"

They could learn about the new Lysithea, whoever that was.

Almere liked friends, too. If either fairy tales or that fight in the sketchy business were anything to rely on, it was going to help a lot to have people standing by her sides in all this, learning with her and helping with everything.

"When I go, I can show you," she agreed. She wouldn't be lonely, and it might help if Ersa didn't have to leave everything from her past behind. "And I know a few other Lysithea knights too. They know more than me. They're Squires. I can introduce you sometime if you want?"

Ersa sounded like she had a lot going on and could use as many friends as she could get.

"For right now, though, I might have to go home soon."

She didn't want her mom to worry.
