Info Name: Saoirse (Sur-shah) - meaning freedom Race: Ultra shiny ElariaxAlkidike mix Gender: Female 3 Base Traits: Indomitable - The daughter of two fine warrior aishan's she inherited the indomitable spirit of both mothers. She will fight and she will hold her head high and there ain't nothing you can do to stop it. She will use all her energy fighting until she cannot fight anymore because of exhaustion.
Caring - For those that enter her circle and she is not restrictive on who can as long as they earn and maintain trust. It would be hypocritical of her with her current intersister issues to be judgy. She will help her friends with everything she has.
Crafty/Devious - She is not above pulling dirty tricks on those that displease her. She is quite creative with it too.
Personality: Saoirse is determined to keep her respect in Aisha's eyes as a warrior, as such she will not back down where others would falter, she feels as a hybrid of two trees that she must prove herself. She is curious about Elzira too, the great tree of her mother and from whom she derived her base skin tone. She would love to go see the other tree one day and maybe after seeing Elzira she may visit the other two young trees too. She feels like there is something she can learn from each tree and is eager to discover what these new pieces of her mother tree have given to the world. She likes animals and all things living really, she collects plants and seeds. She loves to lure birds to perch on her to eat seeds if she can manage it. She is not so much a fan of large crowds and does best in medium to small, preferring small groups to socialize in. She is chosey with her friends because putting her trust in the wrong sister with her new presence under the boughs of Aisha. Her Mother's did their best to shield her from any backlash but it could and did lurk out there, she had gotten some teasing about her looks. But she felt like she was beautiful and her friends, the few she had supported and loved her as sisters should and that is all she needed. She will defend them and she will look after herself. One day she would become strong enough to end disagreements potentially before it had even started. Hopefully. But she was determined to live life to the fullest and enjoy all the prosperity Aisha gave her loyal daughters.
Description: Art is premade ^^ (Elaria skin, alk feelers and alk point coloration on hands and feet) gorgeous! Clothing: N/A Accessories: N/A History: She was born to two aishan's who were both Amazon's who fell in love slowly over years, builing an unbreakable bond through travel and battles with their warrior band until the two became almost inseperable. It was inevitable that babies would eventually come up and they were good with whatever result occured. Though when their bloom developed it looks different than the others. This was a mystery to them and they couldn't do much more than wait expectantly for the bloom to open with their child inside.
The day came and when the flower revealed its bontanic surprise they were all floored to find out that it was an Aishan hybrid. They were quite confused and first. The elarian mama especially had been expecting a baby without any of her visible traits due to the specific tree they were at.
She was the first to scream with elation and gathered her and her love's new daughter into her arms and just held her, fat tears streaming down her face unnoticed. Her wife came over and hugged them both, teeth gritted in a mid-joyful cry into a grimace of pure emotion.
For her part in all of this excitement the new little girl with no clue of the special importance of her birth grabbed a fistful each of both of her mother's hair and started flailing it around watching the strands of different colors sway, then she started giggling amid all the noise.
It was only later when her parents started to worry about the opinion of others having been too wrapped up in the monumental occasion. They had been exceptionally lucky to be one of the first couples that this happened too. But what would it mean for their biracial daughter?

Saoirse had a rare day to do whatever she wanted. She decided to wander the outskirts of the village to look for wildflowers. It was a bright and beautiful day, her Mother's were close by but out of sight, she was finally old enough to kind of be off on her own. Everything looked so shiny and new. She followed a particularly pretty butterfly with red spots on its wings as it threaded through the trees of the boundary woods that separated their village from the raw jungle. She was so focused on the butterfly that she didn't notice the young sister patrol until she was surrounded. At first she siled thinking that they had come to make friends but sadly she was mistaken. "Don't stray too far half breed," one of them hissed. Saoirse's nostrils flared at the venom that dropped from the perfect lips of the young Alkidike. This was wrong, she hadn't even done anything to them. Why was this girl being so cruel? Another woman spoke her black eyes blazing, “As small as you are, the jungle would eat you alive,” the woman mimicked the path of a tear down her cheek. No longer smiling, Saoirse scowled at them. This wasn’t what slightly older sisters should be doing toward a younger one. For a moment she refused to speak, had she known of their intentions she would never have walked into the middle of this. The butterfly had distracted her. She tried not to look back toward the village to see if you her Mothers were aware of her situation and rushing to her rescue from what was starting to feel like a hunt. They were not so far away, if she could make enough noise then there was a good chance that they would come running for her. She would pick her moment. When she continued to refuse to talk the crowd got impatient. She was memorizing the faces that were being hostile. Most of the group seemed gung-ho to pick on her. There were two though, who’s hearts simply were not into it, their feet shuffled and they looked like they wanted nothing better than to leave this display of sisterly conflict. She wanted to aske them why they were doing this but asking would ake her look weak and she was pretty sure their issues with her resided in her skin and blood. Neither of which she could change. She also rather liked how she looked. There were a few other hybrids between Aishan and Elarians but so far none of the other blooms had come out looking like her. She wished quite fervently that she was strong enough to kick all of their sorry behinds into next week for considerable lack of character. “You all are afraid of something new, something strange, but I can assure you there is nothing strange really about me, in fact being a mix of two powerful woman and a proud daughter of Aisha is quite working out for me.” Then she screamed to the canopy. The girls, seeing two full grown sisters come hurtling out of the village toward their potentially lost daughter, scattered and sprinted off to melt into the trees surrounding the village. Both of her mothers were yelling her name as they approached. They skidded to a stop before her and asked her about a million questions. Eventually when they calmed down she was able to tell them everything that had happened since she had followed that butterfly. This had been her first disillusionment. Not everyone at hometree felt like she should be a sister among them. More the pity for them because she wasn’t going anywhere, this was her home, Aisha and these two spirited fighters were her Mother’s. She would not let them down by being a coward. So she told her parents everything all while determined to get stronger so that if that ever happened again she could set them straight without having to call her parents for help everytime some one went boo. But she was not prepared yet. That would take training and practice, she would listen a litte better to what her Mother’s would teach her about dealing with other people who didn’t necessarily share your opinion. Her two Mothers took the whole thing very seriously, she could tell that Akani, (the mother who carried the Elarian blood from the great tree Elzira, whom she had already resolved to go visit one day), was having a harder time with this, knowing that her daughter was struggling specifically because she shared some Elarian looks. She had been delighted to see so much of herself in their daughter. It had been so unexpected but it seemed like some of that joy had been premature. Uzandi who was her mother with Alkidike bloodlines was getting rather angry, her black brows smashed over her eyes in a very dangerous frown. Her sisters had hurt her daughter and her lover, she was not a happy Alk. Taking a deep breath and suddenly feeling very much older, Saoirse walked forward to where Akani was kneeling and hugged her. “I am more proud to be your daughter now than ever. As you can see they are jealous of our beautiful skin…not that your skin is not beautiful Mama U.” She was trying desperately to make Akani feel better but she could also feel the tears drop onto her shoulder. “Its okay I’ll get stronger and kick their butts one day, you will see Mama.” Uzandi stood up straight, her face flat and emotionless, all except for the eyes, she turned and strode away, she was very quiet. Saoirse lifted a hand after the mother that was about to reap what had been so rashly sowed by foolish young girls. Akani pulled Saoirse’s hand down gently, “Let her go, those fools will think twice about it next time, she knows of what unit you spoke of, it is better this way until you can defend yourself, don’t worry, we will always be here for you, and I will help you become the best warrior so you don’t have to worry.” They went back home and eventually a sweaty and dirty but smiling Uzandi came home. “Oh I got them good, I doubt you will have trouble anymore.” She didn’t elaborate on what she had done or how she had managed it but the next time Saoirse saw the girls they had been cleaning the stables, a much hated job by some of the young warriors. Saoirse had smiled behind a hand where they couldn’t see her do it. They didn’t bother her again for a long time after that. Not that she didn’t have some of the same problems with others occasionally but she was learning how to resolve the conflicts quicker. Her parents had been giving her advice and pointers on strategies to stay out of the sticky grasp of those who would take advantage of her vulnerability as a youngling but her Mother’s were scary enough it drove off most of the cowards before they even tried but she couldn’t be constantly attended at all times unfortunately. But she didn’t feel as bad as she had that first time when the leaves had been ripped away from her eyes and she discovered just how flawed and imperfect her world was under the surface but despite that there was still beauty, there was still good, there was still love and she supposed that most hybrids and some pure bloods also were bullied for one reason or another, she had certainly seen it and she told herself that she would one day be strong enough to help other innocents. If another kind hearted sister had overheard what had been going on that day Saoirse was sure that they would have stepped in much like her Mother’s had but the truth seemed to be as her Mother’s said that there were good and bad people everywhere and they were not confined to a certain people. It apparently had a lot to do with how one was raised and the particular soul they were born with. Sometimes she went over that original incident in her mind and wondered if she could have done something else to change the outcome but when she asked Undazi about it she said something along the lines of, “Sometimes no matter what we do or how we approach a situation it will turn out the same because the problems rests with others who we cannot easily control, especially those that lash out with hate and fear.” So it seemed to her that perhaps there really was nothing that she could have done to save herself that day besides what she had done, which she had been told had probably saved her from potentially worse harassment by acting quickly and calling in reinforcements. Akani said that a good warrior always knew when to ask for help and she was proud of her for following her instincts. 1503

She had been working really hard to be good enough to defend herself but at some point she figured she would need to grow taller to improve her reach, however it was more fun to train, because she had a good support group between her Mothers and Venom. Venom kept her company and in turn she looked after him as best as she could. She was the one to feed him usually and change his water, and bath him which both of her Mother’s usually stood to watch. The trip to Matori had been very good in many ways. Now she had a companion and someone to send letters too and she wouldn’t forget to send the letters. Venom grew at an alarming rate and no one would ever think that he had been a runt from the size he ended up as. He took up most of her hammock but his purrs always lulled her quietly to sleep. And in this way no one could ever sneak up on her so she slept better on principle. Anyone who tried that wasn’t her mothers would get a face full of zanteer fangs, they were ridiculously sharp and kinda horrifying. She well, she wouldn’t wish that on her worst enemy..unless they tried to attack her while she slept as a youngling like cowards then they deserved to be chased by all the zanteer ever. Now that would be scary she knew she would run if there were all the zanteer coming after her. Even one cranky zanteer was enough to make even the bravest warriors hesitate a little before those teeth, what they lacked in size they made up for in attitude. Venom was just the coolest and was very sweet overall so long as you didn’t have any evil intent for his beloved smallish mistress, she who fed him. She whom he loved dearly. She spent most of her days practicing battle forms and learning about the alkidike world and how the sisters worked together in groups or teams or in times of war legions of warriors. It was all quite complicated but she enjoyed the learning even putting up with extra stinkeye complaints when she asked questions for the twenty fivth time. At least she was getting her worth out of the classes, she wondered how slackers slept at night not knowing that they would be getting at least a decent grade knowing that you at least tried your best to work with the material given to you. She also tried her best learning the battle forms and she did actually enjoy sparring with the others though she would prefer if she had made more friends then just sparring partners but she did have one or two girls at least who had her back, and she was grateful for them because they had always stuck it out with her and they tried to help protect her because they saw her for who and what she was and they liked it. As opposed to others that hadn’t even tried to get to know her before they judged, well she was showing them because slowly her extra work was paying off and she was doing well. She might go to bed dog tired in mind and body but at least she went to bed with a smile on her face and a zanteer in her lap. Life was good and having carved out a small place for herself in the tribe she started to come into her own. She had always had a healthy self esteem and it did her well now during trying times. She knew when her size and lack of experience could be a problem so she did her best not to put herself in an awkward position where all of her friends and families efforts would be in vain. Nothing had happened for quite a while so the whole system was working pretty well but hunters were patient people it remained to truly be seen if the girls had actually given up on them. She wondered how the other hybrids were faring, she was sure that her extra elarian tone was a big part of how big of a bully target she was. Her Mamas said it was because they were afraid but Saoirse found this hard to believe as she had never done anything mean to those girls before that day. No promises now if they crossed a line though, she would use all her deviousness and training to ensure that they would not dare come after her again. Sometimes you just had to out wrestle your obstacles and so she made sure to keep in top physical condition. In her spare time she liked to meditate and commune in her own way with nature and Aisha, she also loved to go on nature walks and would drag her parents on as many as she could learning the names and properties of the plants they came across even if she had to ask other sisters which was mildly intimidating for her. Most of them were pretty good with answering her though, the others just usually stared at her until she went away but she had a feeling only sometimes was that because she was different sometimes they were just tired of being interrupted by exuberant little ones. She got that, there were sometimes when she liked to be alone too. But she was most grateful for her Mothers who occasionally still let her share a hammock with them. They always listened to her and they did their best to give her good advice. They would read her stories long into the night and let her have absolute free run around the tree that served as their house. Because of them she truly felt she belonged and she couldn’t imagine not having them there in her life to wipe her tears and paste salve on the cuts and scrapes all younglings tended to collect over days of play. They answered as many of her questions as they could and did their best to find out if they could not answer it. They always made sure she was warm and tucked in at night, spinning tales of wonder and fantasy and mysteries so that she wanted to adventure to all of these strange places when she grew up. There was a particular story that she was particularly obsessed with. It was about a rare blue azure lily that was said to have once been one of the nine hearts of the ocean but a siren had given the heart (which was hers originally) to a man whereupon it turned into a dark rich blue lily that seemed to both absorb and reflect light causing a swirling effect like blue mercury. She had wanted to find that flower and see if there would be a seed, because that was how the ocean would be put back into balance and not thrust up on land during high tide, it was said it was reaching for the flower, placing a seed back among the waves would return a piece of the original siren heart back into the ocean, which would then be able to grow to the original size and beat in time with the other eight hearts which were scattered around the sea. These hearts ran the currents and without them some currents were treacherous instead of polite like they had been before with all nine hearts. There had been many nights when she had imagined herself setting off on the journey but it always seemed like quite the long walk so she was always asleep before she found the lilies. Usually she left one of her Mother’s trying to extract her left arm out from under their daughter. Both of her Mothers seemed to enjoy the story time just about as much and sometimes she caught them reading to each other in just the same way, that always made her smile, that she had changed them enough to see that they both enjoyed doing something simple together that didn’t have to be battle maiden practice. They were sweet on the inside at least with each other and with her. To every one else they looked pretty cranky most of the time. She supposed that came with being a mother, it always seemed they were worried about something, but trying to hide it from her. She supposed they were likely worried about the same thing she was with the other girls. But time was ticking on and she was growing albeit pretty slowly it felt like to her. But Maybe soon she wouldn’t be as shrimpy. Then they would likely end up just leaving her be to continue on with her life, or so she could hope. It was really they who were missing out, because no doubt they were unhappy in their lives. Happy people just did not pick on other people. They lacked character and one day that would likely come back to bite them so if they were smart they would also be trying to get better. In truth because she already new right from wrong, she had less far to go, they had to learn those things as well as all of the stuff she had to learn. She had actually started to pity them. 1559

Dawn in Jauhar was beautiful, the sun filtered through the trees, dappling along the leaves and the camp she had made for herself in the trees. This was her own personal fort and where she came to think. It was peaceful and beautiful. She sighed. It was time to make up the decision on her career path here with Aisha. She was still mildly on the fence she was pretty sure she wanted to be a blacksmith and make something with her hands instead of going to battle as a sister with a specific weapon. Problem was she was darn good at fighting but it had always been more of a defense mechanism than meant to be her career. Whereas with the coals and the forge she would be able to take something like a lump of ore and shape and affirm it into something strong and beautiful and deadly. She could work on so many different weapons this way and sus out their secrets and master all of them so if there was ever a really big battle she would be able to defend her Mothers and the tribe. But she need not always be making war or battles if she devoted her life to creation. Sort of like how Aisha had and had given them their lives and their way of procreating.
This was all very deep thoughts for so darn early in the morning. But it was settled she would go the way of the blacksmith consequences be darned. That was where she was meant to be and that was where she would be. She couldn't wait to learn it all having only been able to watch as a prentice at the local forge. They had already had enough volunteers she had been told. Maybe she would learn somewhere else first. 304

Its now or never - Idea of a child Solo The ringing strike of iron on iron echoed across the glen which Saoirse called home. Something in her mind had been brewing for quite a while. She was a bit of a hermit and what travel she had done hadn’t resulted in too many friends. Romance hadn’t blossomed for her among any of her sisters and she was too chicken to try an Elarian girlfriend knowing that Jauhar decidedly was her home. She shook her head and halted the hammer before it struck the sword she had been working on. A rare item among Aishans who mostly preferred spears but she enjoyed the process of making them and there were always earthlings willing to buy. She had devoted the first part of her life to her craft and it showed up in her workmanship but as she held the hammer still there, held above the sword she realized that there was something glaringly missing in her life and a blossom opened up in her heart at the realization that had been creeping up on her slowly over the last few months, she could do something about this gaping loneliness in her.
She need not have another person to approach Aisha and ask for…ask for a child of her own. Someone who would share her features and like her be a beautiful unique gift to the world. The hammer fell from her fingers, something that would have had her mothers checking on her immediately. She was always precise and controlled, but she turned then and doused the forge…other things called to her mind. She went into the house and dug out an old box that was under her bed. Things that she had played with as a youngling; a soft blanket, a book of fairy tales, aishan dolls and clothing and a small figurine of a radaku. These were the things of her childhood…and she wished to share them with a new life, a blood of her blood, a child of her own.
She threw back her head and gave a fierce war cry that disturbed the birds in the trees. She was overcome with joy and happiness, she had found meaning in the mundane, a star in the darkest of nights, no longer would her days be endless repetitions of themselves. She prepared and pen and paper and wrote down her feelings and ideas and plans to change her house to accommodate a youngling. She also started to plan her request to the attendees of Aisha for she would need their permission to approach Aisha to pray, then of course Aisha herself had to deem her worthy of mixing with Aisha’s magic to create a child.
Her eyes almost crossed as she pictured a small face that shared some of her Elarian accents but lessoned as Aisha would add more alkidike blood from what she had heard of other hybrids who had approached the tree. Those of her kind were still a bit rare but starting to gain a foothold in the forests of Jauhar. She knew of at least three others who had been born around the same time she had and there had been a few more Elarian x Alkidike parents over the years that it had taken her to grow into her own. Excitedly she told her mothers of her plan and they heartily approved and began preparations of their own in case she was successful in her quest to add to the family lines.
She hadn’t felt this happy or right in years.. how had it taken her so long to realize? Maybe it was the possibility that she might find a romantic relationship but she was tired of looking, tired of hoping. She was strong, with both of her Mother’s help she was sure that she could create a healthy loving home for a new child.
Over the next few days she refined her request in writing as it helped her visialize what she wanted to say to the sister acolytes. And a good request was a great start to this process so she had heard from others who had gone singly to Aisha. Now it was just to get up the gumption to actually do it. Her palms sweaty she had the stack of papers in her hand. She went over and over what she wanted to get across to them. She held her breath took a deep sigh and said to herself. “Its now or never.”

She tingled all over, this was the day that her life may change for forever for the better. She had brought her application to the acolytes and explained the loneliness in her heart that no amount of hammering had eased and her want for a child of her own but the struggle in finding a suitable mate. They had listened patiently to her, hiding their thoughts initially and it had been the most nerve wracking part of her adult life. But they had seen something in her that reassured them that she was a good candidate to approach Aisha. She had dropped to the ground not far away from them and fervently thanked Aisha for this opportunity.
Now she was nearly vibrating, yes, yes she was, as she approached the place where she would pray. It felt a bit like she was a spirit outside of herself and watching her progress to the place of prayer through unbiased eyes. She swallowed. Her heart was racing as she knelt before the place she had been told to go by the acolytes, not too close but close enough that Aisha would hear her prayers.
“Dear Mother Aisha, it is I your daughter Saoirse who a few decades ago came from among your branches. I am here on this special occasion to request the greatest gift that you could give.. the gift of a daughter of my own mixed with you and I. I have tried for a few years to find a suitable mate but nothing has come of it and well I don’t’ want to wait anymore to help mold the next generation. Please give me a child of my own so that I may revisit your awesomeness through younger eyes. I will give this child a supportive loving environment and help her grow into the queen I know she will be. She will inherit two loving grandmothers who are hopeful that I will be successful today. Together we will make a fierce parenting unit that will help her grow up well rounded. I want to travel with her when she is old enough and show her all that Tendaji has to offer, but first I want to show her the wonders of her home and the excellence of you Mother Aisha. You have always been there for me and I want to help her understand your importance in her life and the importance of all nature and how we are all connected. Not a leaf falls without setting off an event somewhere else, and the actions of today become the results of tomorrow.”
She took a deep breath. This was a fittingly long prayer and she felt tingly all over. This mattered so very much to her and she wanted this more than she had wanted anything else. Most things in her life she could make or buy but a daughter was a precious gift that only Aisha could give her.
Stars sparkled over head and before the mother tree, Saoirse felt very small, but a speck of dust in the great universe but a speck with a mission. One grain of sand could tip a scale and she was determined.
“I have spent hours and hours at hammer and anvil and nothing I make could compare to your beauty and magic though I do my best with every piece. A daughter is something that despite my best efforts at finding a love of my own, I cannot do without you. I am grateful to have been born of your boughs for this opportunity. Please hear my prayer and consider making me a mom."
Her voice broke and the woman who never cried had fat salty tears sliding down her cheeks. With Mother Aisha she need not hide, she need not be tough, she need just be. It was an emotional moving experience that she wouldn’t forget ever.
When her prayer was finished she got quiet and bowed her head for quite a while. Allowing the magic of the moment to wash over her and for her to gain a bit of her regular composure before heading back into the real world again. This moment it felt like she was on a different continent, a different planet than the one on which rested her home and forge. She smiled and she remembered the mural that she and her family had painted in the room that she hoped would be the nursery. Great trees, featuring of course the great mother tree, and around her roots the sisters, among the other trees the animals that were important to learn for those who lived in Jauhar. In the understory and clinging to the bark of those trees the important medicinal plants that made the Aishan who they were. She had never felt so right about anything in her life. She thanked Aisha a final time and retreated back to her life to await word.

It had been quite some time since the events of praying to Aisha and Saoirse tried very hard to throw herself into her work and not worry about it. This was only possible to a certain extent though, it was hard to find her rythym it was hard to work really. Her regular mindless concentration only worked for so long before she got distracted. She supposed of all the things to be distracted by, this was a pretty big thing.
She sighed and decided to go for a walk, exercise would help calm her she was sure.A brisk wind was blowing and it brough to her the heady smell of tropical flowers and rotting leaf litter. It was the smell of home and brought her great comfort. Her mothers' were there for support, perhaps she would go to them for tea time later, that should cheer her up. She understood that they went through something similar when she was just a bud of Aisha. Surely they would calm her down and tell her how it had gone for them and that this angst was just a natural part of the process. As she moved she began to feel better and her muscles in her back and legs loosened up. Deep breaths now she was on her way to peace and prosperity.
As she was out and about a runner came sprinting up behind her gasping a bit for breath. Sao turned to see a full blood sister, (not surprising as most were full blood around here), draw herself up with a rather wide grin on her face. "Can I uh, help you?" Sao asked her. "Well yes I think so, from the description you must be sister Saoirse am I right or am I right?" The sister asked, practically bouncing from toe to toe. "Look if you are here to flirt madam you are just a might too late." "Well never say never and that is kinda sorta why I'm here." Sao watched the woman take in a deep breath and waited. "You were successful! I was sent here to let you know that Aisha thought your prayers adequate and with her infinite love and understanding has granted you a blossom!"
"Praise to Aisha!" Sao couldn't help herself she grabbed her fellow Alkidike's hands and danced her in a circle. "Oh thank you thank you! I was out walking because I was just so nervous, I couldn't concentrate on my work and now my mind is at ease!" It felt like she was suddenly free from all of her stress and all of her worries. Like each breath came easier. On a whim she smooched the girl and raced away to her parents place to tell them the happy news.
Her parents had celebrated with her long into the night and now she was trying to sleep after the most exciting day of her adult life. Now she would not be alone there would be another being besides her beloved parents that shared her blood. She couldn't wait to get this baby home and start reading to her and teaching her all about their home and the lands that lay beyond. Above everything else she knew that this child was special.
The other thing she knew was that parenting would be scary at times but there was no one else out there going to be able to handle her daughter as well as her and no one else able to understand her daughter as well as her. She was aware that this child would be more alkidike than she was herself but perhaps it would make it easier on her at the mother tree. Minds were changing and horizons expanding but well she hoped her daughter had a bit of an easier time than she had, now that she had proved herself it was not as bad and she felt she had earned her place among them with her work and effort, plus the large muscles that discouraged fights by most others. She was here to stay at least for the forseeable future. 683
