She was well into her studies of being a blacksmith when one day on patrol she came across someone unexpected. In curiosity she approached the short stranger to her forest. “Hello?” she called from high in a tree. “Why are you here have you come to seek Aisha? Are you born of her branches?” There was the possibility of a distant hybrid.
They were not on Chibale and he didn't immediately look like he had alk in him on closer inspection but that wasn't always a guarantee he didn't have some of the blood.

He was out exploring Jauhar, amazed by the trees all over again, he had some shifter blood but he didn't feel like he was coming home..he wasn't sure where his home was, for now it was Matori, but he had had some leave from Kechiri's ship so he thought a spot of travel would fit nicely into the longer dry dock time frame.
Minor repairs had to be done so most of the crew got to go have a break from working the sea.
"I uh, no I am just out exploring in my free time, I'm very sorry if I disturbed you, I'll find somewhere else."

Oh so he was just a wanderer, why did she feel so disapointed that he was not on his way to Aisha, her mother tree? Hmm maybe she needed to take a bit of a break.
"You were not really disrupting me, less so if you are not after my tree." She sighed. "Sorry I've just been a bit on edge lately, let me make it up to you." She was feeling peckish anyway.
She took his arm and dragged him over to her favorite local pub.

As she was so large in comparison to him, he did not feel he had a choice but to basically ski on his feet to the pub where she plopped him down.
"Well...I am hungry." So long as she was paying he would probably be okay to take a break from exploring and fill his belly. Besides the food here smelled really good and he felt overly hollow.
They waved down the server and ordered bread, stew and juice.

She was pleased that he had not tried to escape. Not that she had kidnapped many earthlings, he was the first. But she couldn't help it, he was interesting like her. "So what races comprise your ancestry?" I have to know, I haven't seen anyone quite as weird as you..or me."

He was not sure how he always ended up with extreme weirdos, apparently he couldn't even step into Jauhar without being pounced and snapped up by more crazy hybrids. Just like on the pirate ship he had some leave from. "Wind, shifter and ice, you look like one of those fancy new Aishan hybrids are you not?" Question for question after all.

"Cool! You are not wrong, my mothers are alkidike and elaria." She grinned. They ate heartily both had been quite hungry. "Thank you for not running away. I have enjoyed our chat so far. I don't often get the chance to talk to earthlings as I am usually on Chibale."

"It was the promise of food, it works every time." She was strange and he didn't know what to do about it, she had so much energy. "I am rather tired now, could you recommend a good Inn that I might stay at for the night?" He needed to rest somewhere safe.

"Well I'm not familiar with the Inns around here, but I do have somewhere safe you can sleep and its free." She paid their bill and led him deeper into the forest, far enough from town that the chance of brigands was quite slim. "Here," she said proudly. Leading him up a tree she indicated the hammock she was sleeping in while on the mainland.

She had led him to a cozy hammock in the trees. "I er thank you." It was obviously where she slept at night. "Are you not worried I could rob you?" He had the feeling she didn't often stray too far from Aisha. She was too kind and giving to others to have been treated cruely. Which he supposed was a good thing, he certainly was not out to hurt her in any way.

"I know it is not much, but it is safe." She didn't hold much store with Inns run by people with potentially questionable motives. She preffered to think on her feet, sleep beneath the stars and have every escape route open to her. Walls sucked just about as much as locked doors. "I have nothing of value for you to steal, so I am not concerned."

He was used to roughing it "I greatly appreciate your help," She looked like she would remain nearby while he slept and he felt kinda bad because he would be in her bed. "I'll nap and spell you off so you get some sleep too." For trusting him, he was grateful. "Thank you Saoirse."
He curled up in the hammock.

"You are welcome Amathrag." She wasn't sure what it was about him that made her want to help him. Perhaps it was the worn and weary look that she had worn ofthen enough. Another rugged soul that had been kicked around by life. They both deserved better.

He slept deeper than he thoguht he would. Refreshed, he nearly fell out of the hammock , having forgotten where he was for a moment. Gasping at his near peril he settled back in the hammock for a minute to let his heart settle. He had been sleeping in a bed for too long the hammock took some getting used to again. "Your turn."

Gratefully she settled in the hammock, it was safer to sleep with a watch on guard. Besides she didn't have anything that was valuable, which was a good way to not get robbed. Though being far from her Mother tree made her nervous on the best days. Soon enough she also fell asleep and dreamed good dreams with someone to watch her back for a change.
