Saoirse had rolled her eyes at her Mother's twittering. It was their idea for this whole blind date thing. Apparently they had met that way by chance again after meeting each other by chance first. They had heard of the new blind date trend and decided that their daughter would benefit from the experience.
She was nervous and excited.

Faenna was outright excited for this mystery date. What if it was her one true love? Or what if it was just a new good friend? Or what if it went terribly? Oh, the possibilities were endless! She was jittery with anticipation, and bounded up to the first person she saw. "Are you my blind date?" The dumbfounded shifter shook his head roughly and waved Faenna off before burying his face in his drink.

Saoirse 2 Saoirse was nearby and overheard the beautiful alkidike's question. "I er hi, I believe I am the one you are looking for." Saoirse smiled brightly and dipped her head at the other woman. "My name is Saoirse and I must say that its an absolute pleasure to meet you." She gave the ol' evil eye to the cranky shifter who had been so rude. This sweet lady desered better than he. "Our table is just over here." She pulled the chair out so her date could sit.

The new voice readily caught Faenna's attention. More than happy to dismiss the grumpster at the bar, she gave her date a bright smile. "Saoirse, you said? I'm Faenna." The chair? How sweet! She sat down with a thank you and eagerly leaned forward while her date took her seat. "It's a delight to meet you, too. Now, I've never eaten here before. Do you have any recommendations?"

Saoirse already loved the other woman's energy. "Well," she pondered the menu. "The fried fish is always good, just the perfect balance of flavors, freshness and crunch. But the platter has a little bit of everything. Personally I love the steak. Medium rare with the rasdish and garlic sauce."
She was salivating already. The food was so good. Someone special must run the kitchen.
A waitress came over and plunked down some water for them before swishing off again, it was an oddly busy night.
"I feel like whatever you chose from here is pretty safe though depending on your preference."

Faenna's eyes flickered eagerly over the menu. There were so many options to choose from! Then she spotted something in particular, and she knew there was nothing else to order. "Zucchini roast!" she gasped out loud. "Oh, I haven't had that since I was little." She looked across to her date and grinned. "It's been a while since I've been to Jauhar. Well, this side of Tendaji, period! Do you live here?"

"Well I live in Chibale, but like tonight I occassionaly wander, I would like to visit all kinds of places soon. I have worked hard to make my body a weapon. Not my initial choice but I was a bit bullied growing up so I got bigger muscles than they and quite a bit scrappier, now I have earned their respect and they leave me alone. Unfortunate but someone had to teach them some character you know!"
She wasn't particularly proud of that painful part of her past but all the extra exercise made her feel fantastic and made her body quite tight.
"Zuchinni is wonderful, how it sort of melts in your mouth and blends with the flavors."

Faenna sighed and shook her head with dismay. "I wish people would just stop being so mean. There's just no need for it." Her lips pursed and she found herself unable to help a playful smirk. "Still, I can't help but to appreciate the end result of your hard work..." Hybrid or not, Saoirse was an attractive lady with that fit figure. "I was bloomed on Chibale, but my parents took me and my sister over to Chiume when we got older. They wanted to help with Azehra, so most of my life has been over there."

Saoirse grinned and flexed a well honed muscle. "Well yes there were definitely perks and I believe I gained quite a bit of character and confidence because of it."
"Oh really? Tell me all about it, I find the other trees just fascinating! Like long distance aunties."
She perched precariously at the edge of her seat, "What color are Azehra's blooms?"

Faenna nodded excitedly. "That's a good way to look at it. I never thought about it that way, but it makes sense." It was indeed a sweet thought! "I have two sisters bloomed from her. I can tell you everything." She went into perhaps too much detail about Azehra's features ((aka, Corny can't find those details)). Outsiders weren't allowed to see her yet, so it made her feel quite special to have such inside information.

Saoirse listened enraptured to the in depth description she had been craving.
"She sounds absolutely beautiful." She was sure all of the fantastic Aishan trees were but it helped to have it confirmed.
"Thank you so much I had had an insatiable curiousity for the longest time about it."
"So what do you like doing?" This was supposed to be a date she should get to know the beautiful lady better.

Faenna giggled lightly. "You're welcome. Always happy to share what I can." Her brow rose when the topic changed to focus on her, and she let out a long sigh while considering her answer. "Well, I like having fun." She snorted and shook her head. "I know that's pretty vague, but a lot of things can be fun. Foraging in the woods, playing games, surprising people... Lots of things as long as it's not boring~ What about you? What do you enjoy?"

Saoirse smiled. "Thats cool! Me? I like tactical games, tag, physical sports especially if they involve strategy, reading, art like painting and drawing what I see on nature walks..singing...badly."
She was working on the singing but her mother always said it sounded like a perzi having a non voluntary bath.
She also liked looking at fancy jewellry that she could not afford yet. She could be a warrior and a lady.

Faenna couldn't hold back a laugh, nodded and leaned back in her chair. "Hey, as long as you enjoy it, it doesn't matter how bad at it you are." She raised one arm to let it hang causally over the back of her chair and let the server know they were ready. This was going to be an interesting date, for certain, and she needed some food in her belly!
