Ren's steps were methodical, the puddles helping to cushion the metal on stone's connections as his ears flexed around while he was trying to pick out signs of danger as saw the group splitting off. The fog rolling in was becoming too thick for Ren's eyes to guide him safely, and soon enough he was pressing against something solid as he opened his eyes. "A wall?" He openly stated as he began to could tell the wind pattern's had changed. His eyes glowed the usual pink as he looked up at the wall as was patting his hand against the wall audibly for those who couldn't hear.
Suddenly! A loud noise shattered through the walls of the cave as he could feel the ground beginning to sink down as the explosions began to echo through the before he could see the Teams Nightshade and Sapphire vanish. "Everyone! Sink hole!" He shouted as he jumped to try and save Sakura from falling, that is until his own grip on land slipped and he was beginning to fall, causing him to stifle a scream as he looked around during the fall. "No no no...." He had a hard time telling how deep the hole was, but then he remembered the mixed drinks in his bag. He reached into it, pulling out the cork in one of the glass bottles as he was trying to determine the depth they were falling. "Everyone get close!" He shouted mid-fall and threw the bottle towards the ground, causing it to shatter upon the rubble below and releasing a torrent of wind up towards them as it helped slow their fall to avoid falling at terminal velocity. He was an experienced Faller thanks to his free-running history, but with Sakura in his arms, he was out of his element and had to use a mixed drink to create a blast of air to avoid crashing on rubble.

Sure, they'd resolved it, but, there was clearly still tension between the two others. There was every chance it'd flare up again. But, for now, she followed the rest as they probed deeper into the cave. Normally, she'd be flying, but, the others were slowed dramatically by the uneven and obstructed floor, so, she simply walked along with them. They eventually came across a wall that was horribly out of place. She got a chill running down her spine as fog seemed to spill over. It reminded her of those creepy horror movies her cousin made her watch whenever their family got together. She was about to comment when she heard something that sounded like a laugh. Suddenly, the sound of explosions and breaking stone echoed throughout the cave and, before she could react, the floor immediately collapsed beneath her.
Along with her team and another, she plummeted, shrieking out. Her instinct was to fly down to safety, but, she was plummeting along with several large stones which would surely break her wings if she used them to fly. Ren was below her and yelled out to stay close as he lobbed a bottle down ahead of them. A sudden gust of wind hit her from below, slipping under her wings and spinning her off to the side. The sudden burst also seemed to deflect the falling debris just enough to not be fatal to the rest, but, she was flung from the area of the gusting air. Confident it was safe, she flared her wings and began to glide down, though, as soon as she had, a sharp pain came from her left temple and her vision blurred as a stone struck her. She managed to stay aloft, but, as she circled around and landed, stumbling forward and holding her head with one hand. She sat on her knees as she tried to ignore the dizziness from the hit to her head.
”I don't think we're the only ones down here. Everyone alright?”She looked up and her vision started to sharpen back up. After a few moments, she staggered to her feet, intending to help anyone who needed it despite the trickle of blood from her own head and light head. She stepped closer to the group, stumbling as she stepped on some loose stone, but, she stayed upright. She only just thought to check her gear and quickly patted herself down. Everything was present, but, doing so left bloody stains everywhere.. ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:SLAR█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁

Widget simply followed along as the group seemed to, at least for now, stabilize and advance. She said nothing the whole time and, soon, they came to a bend in the cave. Taking up the rear, she only just rounded the bend as explosions echoed through the cave. It seemed to dramatically weaken the floor as it suddenly gave out, starting under her and branching out to encapsulate half the group. She landed with a loud crash, her dampening system straining with it, but, holding as she hit the ground first on her feet. She immediately started for where the group was falling and leveled out the cannon arm and started blasting the larger pieces of debris that was falling closer to the group. SHe needed to ration her munitions, so, she prioritized anything of reasonable size that was in the same area as the falling group.

Finally with full proceeding, this were going along swimmingly. (pun intended to earlier.) Finally able to calm herself once everyone had been properly gathered, Tabby kept herself optimistic as usual as they had trekked deeper into the cave. Standing close to Chase and his hound dog, she had Stabby out in her hands with a loving embrace. While others were paying attention, Tabitha was whispering sweet nothings to her harpoon, practically snuggling her cheek along its beautiful grip. "Yes darling you are good weapon~! So shiny~ So pretty. Prettier than other weapons. Oh no no, Tabby has not left Jabby without loves~!. Don't worry, Jabby will loves too~!" How delerious the red head was, uncaring if anyone were to hear the ramblings. It was her pride and joy, and no one was about to intervene with the love of the blade!... Or the harpoon in this case. Her attention had shifted from her harpoon to Chase's hound dog, wishing to give the pooch attention too! It was a brave dog walking along these oddballs in a cave! Sadly, she was not including herself in that logic, considering herself to be the most perfectly sane.
"Mister Poochy pooch do you want to play Spy spy with Tabby? Tabby can go first! Easy! Tabby finds something interesting, and you can bark what it is mmkay!? Okay~! Tabby spies something sharp~!.... A Rock! righto Daddeo~! Okay okay Poochy pooch your go~! Go go yes! Hmmmm..... What'chu mean something dark!? That's cheating! Don't cheat Tabby! Sir quiet man poochy trying to cheat Tabby! This is not right!" Ooops!! Quiet time! Only just remembering her mistake, she nervously laughed at Chase in apology, pressing her index finger to her lips. "Quiet Tabby. Indoor whisper voice." Making a zipper line motion from one side of her mouth to the other, the redhead had turned her head around to the others, surveying they were all still in a group. It had only been when parts of the cave had become much darker had she the need to worry about her own self and those closest to her. The shift underneath all of their feet had set the bar on that factor for sure. "Kyah~!!!!!!" The ground practically disappearing from under their feet. Nearby, Tabitha could only just make out at the sight of the snake lady known as Nox get hit by a rock. By the time she had reached out to them everyone was plummeting. With the falling debris all around them, and plenty of places to grab hold, the environment was a complete Tabitha playground. Without a second thought, she snatched forward the closest one to her, which had turn out to be Chase's loyal hound dog. "Hold on tight poochy!!!" Aiming "Stabby" towards the ceiling of the previous floor ascending above their heads, she would fire the grappling hooks of them upwards. Instead of hitting the ceiling like she had wanted, the hooks caught instead among the edge of the floor they had fallen through. "Got it!!!!" getting swung against the wall, Tabitha rotated her body so her back would take the impact, awkwardly hugging the dog in her free arm. Having to rely purely on her legs strength, and rotation, they would have been sitting ducks. Parts of the wall had small places only just solid enough to dig her feet into. She began descending down along the wall after a minute to catch her breath, at first very careful. Unfortunately, nature could be mean!
The hook let go from it's edge finally crumbling, making both dog and woman drop. the reel of the hook snapping back into place, Tabitha began plunging the harpoon to the nearest wall space, with both legs stretched for only a short amount of time. Snaking the rest of the way down, she landed hard on her butt with the dog in her lap, dirt falling on both of them from above and her messy work. With Rens effort the blow had been cushioned. That did nothing to prevent hurting her dignity, nor her poor dress that was now shredded down around her legs and feet... Or the cuts progressed from all the descension!!! She had no care, as making sure everyone else was safe had become a first priority!!!! "OWIEEEE!!!!!! MEAN CAVE WALLS!!! CRUMBLE MORE and TABBY WILL STAB!" Remembering both she and the dog were not the only two there by then, she looked from person to person, just barely seeing Skylar's wounds through the dim light, and Ren with Sakura in his arms. She first looked for Chase though, his dark clothing making him hard to see. It was only his eyes that gave him away as to who he was. "Mr. Mutee, Your poochie!! Tabby protect like big momma!!Oh! Good boy!! You no peed on Tabby yay!! You need bath later though!" Finally letting the squirming dog go back to Chase, her focus had went to Yuki and Widget. "Tabby's friends alright!? Tabby can hear widgey just fine so guessing... Where is Snake lady!? Angel lady!! You're bleeding!! So many!! Tabby alright though~! Hurt butt and dirty!! Ewwww!!!! Should all do roll call!? Tabby can start... Ahem.. Tabby Here!"

While the mechanical girl was mostly silent, save the obvious sounds of her robotic form walking in the cavern, the girl known as Tabby was a different story all together. More than once, due to her close proximity to him and his hound, he would hear her whispering words to her harpoon. Words that, should everyone have heard it, may be found mildly disturbing. Primarily because she was whispering sweet nothings to her harpoon, as if it was a living creature. And Chase was fairly certain that she cared so deeply for the weapon, from what he was hearing, that she may go completely haywire at their absence. Had he not seen her...quirky nature and expected it, he may have tried to move to a different location in this marching band. But given she seemed to want to stay close to him and his hound, that they were on a team, and that he did not feel ill intent from her he didn't try to do so. If he had to hazard a guess, moving away from her would not help things. 'No need to draw attention to myself or from others with her making a comment.' He thought to himself. While she was far more energetic and talkative than he could normally handle, he was doing his best currently. Mostly because it was either her, or get closer to the rest of the large group. He would take one loud woman over three full teams of students. Pushing that momentary thought aside, his mind went back to their surroundings and the mission at hand. Especially the further they descended in. While it was not particularly hard to see in darkness, a mysterious fog had rolled towards them and enveloped them as they traveled. Sight was reduced significantly, and unless they were within five feet of him Chase could not see anyone. Which meant for all intents and purposes, visually, he was just in the cavern with Tabby and his hound. The only thing that proved the others were still with them was the sound of their footsteps and occasional conversation. Which did help to keep Chase's nerves at bay and not be so sensitive to the proximity of so many people.
The young hunter would travel in silence for the most part, trying to make sure his footing was stable and that he did not wander into any unseen hazards. It was... peaceful, for a time. Even with Tabby's whispering. This continued until they seemed to come to an impasse... a massive wall rose up before them, with the fog spilling out from the top of it. Chase knew not what was causing the fog to spill forth from there and stretch so far, but he only minded it little. Specifically in the difficulty of scaling such a wall if the fog would cling to the walls and obscure view of handholds. It would be a decent challenge that would require some thought to transport their group over. It was also when Tabby decided to play a game with his hound, distracting him for a moment as his crimson eyes fell on the pair. He recognized it as a game of I spy... at least on Tabby's end. He was unsure where she was getting his answers from, him not having the ability to understand his own hound, but she seemed to think she was being cheated by him as she told Chase about it... Who could only hold his hands slightly forward in a worried gesture as his head swiveled around. He didn't exactly want everyone to stare at him because his dog was "apparently" a cheater. His face veil thankfully hiding the blush of embarrassment that crossed his face. He wasn't sure what to do to calm her, but thankfully she seemed to do it herself after an all too loud (to him) nervous laugh before she put a finger to her lips and started to use her indoor voice. Even going as far as to "zip her lips" in front of him. Chase gave a quiet sigh of relief at that. This was not the time for fun and games, and the last thing he wanted was attention. 'She is going to be a handful.' He thought to himself, as the knowledge they were on the same team was unfortunately known to him. Why he couldn't ever be with quiet and calm people was beyond him. He would nod to her with his own finger in front of her lips, as if to say silence was a good thing.
It was at that moment things took an unexpected turn. There was a loud cracking noise, and before Chase could even turn towards the source, he felt the ground beneath him give way. He had no time to call out, no time to react. One moment he was on solid ground, the next he was falling. Panicked crimson eyes looked all around for something to grab onto, but all he could see was fog, dust, and falling stones. His arms reached out wildly, desperately, trying to grab anything that he could cling to. But he was not near enough to the cavern walls. He was nowhere near anything to grab onto. 'Is this... How it all ends?' He thought with fear gripping his heart. While his life was anything but pleasant, he still desired to live. His first mission... and he was already in grave danger. He could not see the floor, could not gauge time as he fell. For all he knew it could be a bottomless chasm that would swallow him whole. His mind thought to his hound for a moment, though as he looked he could not see it. He couldn't make out anyone really, though he could hear the panic. But he heard one voice, louder than the rest, amidst the chaos. A voice that said to get close. Chase knew not the reliability of the voice, but he knew one thing; it was the only chance he had at surviving. He was as good as dead anyway. Turning in air, unsure how to control or direct his "flight", he would do his best to try and get closer to it... Before feeling a powerful torrent of wind from beneath him. So strong he had to shut his eyes or risk dust and pebbles going into it. 'Please be alright.' His last thought of his hound before he hit the ground, hard.
He bounced once or twice, he really didn't know, and rolled a bit before finally coming to a stop on his back. He felt sore all over, his aura taking most of the damage, but he was sure he had more than his far share of bruises from the fall. His eyes were still shut from the pain as he experimentally tried his arms and legs. While sore, they still functioned. Slowly his eye lids would part to reveal crimson eyes, slowly looking above him. He almost did not want to get up and see what had happened, but he forced himself to rise to a sitting position. Letting out a sudden cough from all the dust around him, he waved his hands in front of him to clear the air to look around. While he didn't hear her first words, he certainly heard her calling him now. 'Tabby?' He wondered, knowing only she called him mute as his eyes looked towards her. He was almost sure he would see her much worse than her current state if not dead, so he was glad it was only shredded clothing and a lot of cuts from the fall. If he had to guess, she may have been closer to the wall than he was but he honestly did not know. However, the one thing that caught his eyes the most was that she was holding his hound. His eyes lit up as she let him go and the hound ran to Chase, who hugged him. He had been worried his one companion that had been with him through his fathers training was still alive and well. He looked back to Tabby, and nodded his head gratefully. While she must have been feeling some pain, she didn't seem to care. She seemed to be making sure all were alright, as she made Chase realize there was some other sound of blasting. He couldn't see clearly because of all the dust hanging higher in the air, but at least it didn't seem to be coming to them. He would slowly rise from his seated position and try to rub off as much dust and dirt as he could from him before checking his equipment. 'Everything seems mostly fine...' He thought to himself as he did. As Tabby did roll call he did not say a word, though using hand signals had his hound bark. 'That should be enough.' He thought to himself as he headed over to Tabby, hound following. He had his medkit out, hearing that someone was bleeding but he didn't know where. And while he had something for Tabby's wounds, he needed to assess if there was anyone else more wounded than her.

Making their way further into the cave. The only noises were the small parade of footsteps created by the group. And of course Tabby. The small dispute between members of ROKA and PAWS threatened to spill over to the other teams. Yuki almost grew concerned, but the situation settled with the interference of others. Seems there was some type of miscommunication. It happens and will happen again somehow and somewhere in Remnant. She allowed herself to continue her pace with her team through the cave as the mission progressed. Tabby was playing a game with the silent team members companion. Apparently he was cheating. "How exactly does she understand him?" she asked looking to Chase for an answer. Quickly realizing that the quiet shy one probably wouldn't appreciate the attention she immediately turned her head and answered her own question to make it seem as if she were asking no one in particular. "Must be a Tabby thing." she shrugged. The further they all traveled, the wolf faunus could hear the faint voice of water. "That's...odd." she commented. Still continuing her pace a steady fog rolled in getting thicker and thicker by the second. She looked around observing it as it shrouded the area hindering vision. "Where did this come from?" she question trying to get some type of vision bearing. She kept her ears sharp. Even without her vision her hearing was nothing to sneeze at.
The air changed in the cavern. As if it stalled. The echoes of footsteps seemed to bounce back not so much from the sides of the group, but in front of them. "Ah!" Yuki yelped rubbing her forehead. He opened her eyes with a small tear stinging her right. to see a wall in front of them. One that was clearly out of place. Observing the wall, she looked to the left and right to see if there were anything of note on it. Such as: drawings, writings or anything. He eyes trailed up to see the same fog the cloaked them all spilling from above. "There's something up there." she thought. Before she pulled out Nightengale to scale the wall she hear a loud cracking noise and a laugh that sent a chill up her spine. Her pupils dilated as adrenaline flooded her body. She had a good idea as to what was coming next. "Everyone get bac-!" she was cut short as the thunderclap of an explosion rung through the bodies and ears of the students. The heterochromatic feeling dizzy from the explosion did register that she was falling until she forced herself cognizant, Pushing her hands down to prevent her skirt from flying up she looked looked around the dark cave to see of there were anything she could grab onto.
With her night vision she could see just fine and the adrenaline pumping through her made her focus even tighter. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could grab onto and she was too far from the walls to use her weapon to slow her descent. The first thought wasn't that she was gonna die. She looked up as she saw Tabby hook the ceiling with her weapon. With the hound in her arms. "Good, Tabby." she thought. Back to her situation, she realized that there was nothing she could do. Her first thought was seeing her future husband again. No matter what. And as if Oum answered a gust of wind slowed everyone's rapid decent to where there were no fatalities. At least none present yet. Yuki rolled onto the ground pretty violently as the sound of scraping earth cried through the area. "Ow. Thank you whoever saved us." she said in pain, but grateful nonetheless. She stood and brushed herself off and shook the small pebbles out of her hair likely from the boulders Widget destroyed during the rest of the groups descent. "Is everyone ok?" she asked. Yuki walked up to Widget and rubbed her head. "Thank you for saving Chase's friend, Tabby. You did a very good thing!" she smiled. "Thank you, Widget. If it weren't for you we'd all be crushed." she said with a small, but genuine smile. Yuki gave Chase a smile and nod acknowledging that he was fine, but not drawing too much attention to him. Roll call is a great idea. And of course Tabby started it. Chase was present and it was backed up by his hound sounding off as well. She cleared her throat and spoke. "Yuki is here." she said calmy but cheery. Yukino looked and noticed they weren't the only ones down here and jogged to the others. "Is everyone alright?" she asked approaching the winged faunus. Post Count: 16
Widget watched as the others landed, markedly better off than they should have. So far, it looked like the girl called Skylar had the worst of it as she staggered to a landing and sat down before struggling upright, her head bleeding and looking to possibly be concussed, judging by her instability. Tabby seemed to have caught the dog on the way down and was suggesting they do a headcount."I'm alright. And Skylar, you shouldn't be trying to walk so soon. That injury looks pretty bad. Everyone still have their kits? If not, check the compartment on the back of my suit, I have a medkit there."She decoupled from her suit and climbed out. She'd avoided injury completely, and, was the only one so far. She lifted her goggles and looked around. It was almost pitch black, but, her vision was stronger than most faunus in the darkness so, she took the opportunity to look around."There's a passage out about...three hundred feet to the...I think that's East."

XXXChase had been just as quiet as when she met him during the lunch. It wasn't like she expected any more from a student she had such little interaction with. It wasn't like a reunion with Dee, who shared some common ground with the aura professor, Kail. Still, some sense of familiarity was better than nothing which had earned the woman a nod of approval from her idea. It was settled, then. The two would act as the Scouters, Chase with his hound and Yui with her wings. With some semblance of a plan, all they awaited now was for the chaos to subside into some manner of order among the teams. Perhaps it was easier said than done, but even the students who hadn't seen eye to eye found it in themselves to at least withstand one another's presence. With some sense of order reestablished, so would begin the descent into the depths of the cavernous chasm. One that, at least in Yui's own perspective, proved to be rather uneventful. The young huntress took to the sky as intended, relying initally on her gifted night vision to light the way for her. Thanks to the number of humans below, Yui had a common light source to ground her to the rest of the squad while she kept her aerial advantage. To her surprise, she didn't find herself in the company of her fellow avian who at first seemed so intent to fly by her side. Perhaps Yui had made her position clear to scout ahead in fewer numbers, leaving her responsible as the eyes while Sky helped maintain security in their group. Whatever the reason was, it was meant to be.
Unfortunately for the young huntress scouting wouldn't come as easy as a flight in the night sky. With diverging paths, group alpha would descend further into a much larger cave, one that held an ominous fog that would flood the cavern-like smoke. It would dance in thick whisps like phantoms around her, obscuring her naturally enhanced sight to be nothing more than muddled images the floor below. Aside from the light of others, she couldn't see their being. Obstacles themselves only became apparent within a few short feet of her, causing her to glide slowly rather than fly. It was only her height and distance ahead that gave her any indication that something was coming, or rather, they were approaching something. The Lioncourt found herself presented with what appeared to be a dead-end, a massive wall that stopped them from going any further. Yui would reach the wall, delicate gloved fingertips clicking against its rough and jagged surface as she touched down on the cavern floor below with her tiptoes. There she stood, stroking the wall as she began to examine and ponder to herself. 'This is it..? No, it couldn't be. .. What of the fog? Where did the wind go? Surely it couldn't come from... nothing..." Pale blue hues would shimmer in the darkness, gazing upwards as the waves of fog continued to cascade down along the cavern wall. Even if it obscured their vision so, surely one that could see in normal darkness could notice the oddity in such a pattern. How the dense fog flowed downwards in waves, rather than drifting along as phantoms in the stagnant air. Shifting her gaze, she'd barely make out the silhouette of a rabbit boy, then a girl with wings, those she could only assume were her companions. ".. We need to go up.. Skylar, if we go to the top and use rope, then--"
Though Yui had formulated a sound plan for another round of repelling to ascend this obstacle, she was cut off by what sounds like... A distant laugh, distorted by a resonance of earsplitting cracks. The cave itself began to rumble, explosions erupting in a thunderclap that would surely leave all those who heard with a horrid ringing in their ears. Pale orbs would widen in shock, perhaps even panic, though foreign to the Lioncourt. She was given little to no time to react, which left her only digging her gloved nails into the cavern wall before her. It took all her might to try and cling towards the cavern wall as the ground fell away from her. Her panicked gaze would look towards the falling images of her team. Surely she could save them, she had done it before with the strength of her wings. She'd begin to spread her wings, only to catch the glimpse of a rock coming directly for her head. Throwing her left arm up, she'd brace herself just enough to knock it off course. Such an act left her open, only to feel a medium rock slam against her hand. There would be a ding that clamored, the rock clattering against the silver metal that encased her fingers. While the impact wasn't enough to bust the silver clasp, it knocked her grip loose as another rock fell against her to force her down. While bracing the weight of a stone and her grip knocked loose, Yui too would fall into the hole below, thus being swallowed by the cavern with the rest.
In her descent she managed to shove the rock away from her, giving her a moment to breathe as she plummeted downwards. The first instinct for an avian falling would be to spread her wings, but even Yui wouldn't be so careless to extend at such a risk of getting struck by additional rocks and boulders. She had gotten lucky at first, the most armored part of her getting struck, then her shoulder just barely getting scathed. It was best to keep her wings tightly tucked against her body, just as she had done in her initial dive to the mission. Feathers so sleek, it may have been mistaken for a wind breaker. She was relying on solely her faunus enhanced sight to give her any indicator of her fall. Rocks of all sizes were falling with them, and though the cave was getting darker she had managed to catch a glimpse of a familiar rabbit. He shouted at them to stay close before chucking something towards the ground. In her time with her team, she could only assume it was one of his many odd dust concoctions in a futile attempt to save them all. What it was capable of, she had no idea and tightened her wings around her in order to brace herself. With the shattering glass there would be a burst of wind, one that fought against gravity in an attempt to propel them upwards, blasting away countless stray stones, as well as her fellow avian faunus. Perhaps it was only due to her suspicions of what Ren could do that gave her the split second preparation to keep such a burst from ripping open her wingspan immediately. One of the students that had already landed began opening fire on the rocks above, working her hardest to clear the debris before it could threaten the students any further. It was an idea that Yui was sure to borrow to ensure the further safety of her own team. The dust cyclone had slow her descent substantially, giving her the room of comfort to spread her wings before turning to the ceiling above and drawing her bow. 'It won't be quite as effective as her gun, but I can take care of some of the smaller stuff, surely.' Drawing her bowstring back, her left thumb ring would illuminate a piercing blue in the darkness, acting as a beacon of light as it released a flurry of azure embers that would collect at her bowstring. Following the rapid motions of her fingers against the drawstring, Yui would release a consecutive volley of bright blue arrows against some of the remaining descending stones. Each would explode in a burst of blue flame. Some finishing off the stones, while others merely repelling it. On the few arrows that missed, they'd continue until they hit a chasm wall, bursting into blue flames that'd linger for a moment. Each arrow fired brought her closer to the ground until she crouch landed with her fifteenth arrow drawn. This one she kept in her hand, acting as one of the sole light sources for those who couldn't see in the surrounding darkness.
Her forearm was sore, just as her shoulder was from bracing the initial weight of the rock that sent her plummeting. Scrapped, possibly bruised, she was certain she wasn't bleeding like some of the other students. Many had not managed to land on their feet in the descent, while Ren's quick reaction gave Yui the chance to adapt and overcome a majority of the obstacle... Still, it was sloppy by her normal standards. To think that nature would catch her so off guard. ... Then again, was that truly an act of mother nature, or some dastardly entity that she surely heard a phantomous laugh come from? Whatever it may be, there was nothing more she could do but regroup with her team. With the aid of her blazing arrow and faunus vision, she held a gift of sight that others may not have. That, of course, made her stick out in the darkness as a bright blue beacon. The woman had risen to her feet, bracing her now stiff shoulder while holding the blazing arrow by her side, listening for the voices and barks as they clamored in the darkness. "Yui of team Solar, present.." She said softly, taking a hesitant step into the darkness around her, gently blue hues peering for the familiar silhouettes of her team. As she walked, she continued to remark. "Ren.. Your reaction with the wind dust was exemplary. It never crossed my mind." Praise was given where praise was do. It wasn't too often that Yui threw out compliments, either, especially when she often gave Ren some means of a cold shoulder. She was impressed, truly, though she hoped that the results treated him and Sakura as fair as they had done for her... "Those who can't see in the dark, do feel free to utilize my weapon as a source of light to group at." Yui would state louder, firmer, attempting to make her position clear as someone they could use as a meeting point. Blue hues would narrow though upon seeing the staggering walk of her fellow avian, catching a glimpse of dark fluid reflecting her own blue light. As if in turn, it was another student that remarked on her condition, bringing a nod of agreement from Yui. Hurrying her shuffle towards her teammate, she'd release her own shoulder and tug at the first aid kit on her hip. "Please. Skylar. Take a moment to sit. We at the very least should clean your head and stop the bleeding." Her words were soft, though held the same tone with each word. Tugging her first aid kit loose with her free hand, she'd continue. "Take a moment to get your bearings ... What do you say?" This time, while just as soft, they held an inkling of concern, as if genuinely trying to persuade the girl to slow down for a moment.
In her attempt to prep first aid and get Skylar to take it, a faunus strolled up asking if they were okay. It was the same voice that announced herself as Yuki, and to her question, she would reluctantly nod. "I sustained little more than bruising, but Skylar is worse for wear..." Breaking her gaze from Yuki, she'd begin to peer around for the remainder of her team, more so attempting to find the bunny ears one had. "I'm currently uncertain about the remainder of my team, however. What of you? What's the status of your team?" Yui had heard a number of students already, though she wasn't entirely sure if they were all apart of this Yuki's team. She heard Tabby give a rollcall, Chase's hound bark, and a third student making assessments of the situation. If they were lucky, that could have been her team as a whole, leaving the condition of her own team as uncertain.

After the fall teams Solar & Nightshade find themselves in the center of a large cavern. The center of the floor being dominated by the mound of stone debris that had fallen into the chamber with them and made up the uncomfortable mat they had to land on. It is difficult to get good footing on it as almost any move causes the loose smaller rock fragments to slide. The cavern itself is large and the only hole in the ceiling is the one everyone just fell out of. The hole is now blocked by several large boulders that have been wedged into place and caught the majority of the falling stone. There is no telling how much rock is being held up there, but it looks much too unstable and there in dangerous to mess with. The walls are far enough away that they are hard to make out as the groups lights struggle to penetrate the darkness out that far. As Widget pointed out there is a deeper darkness that indicates a passage towards the east, but there is a slight problem. It's the only way out but is blocked by a cave in with only a small two foot tall clear opening at the top of the stone pile up. Not much room but it's possible to crawl through one at a time without having to risk further collapse by disturbing the stone rubble to make a larger opening.
As everyone gets their bearings and everyone's injuries are dealt with a more pressing issue comes to light. The walls... are moving. Moments after the first person notices the movements in the shadows lights appear. First one and then a second light dances along the edge of the chamber. As the strength of the light pushes the shadows away two massive forms emerge from the darkness. White armored plates glinting menacingly as each grimm hefts huge pincers before it. The black bodies under the bony plates are harder to pick out until they enter the light put off by the group. The trouble doesn't stop with the Death Stalkers. One stays near the wall but as the other big grimm advances and their stingers grow brighter the ceiling is illuminated and it starts to move as well. Bat like screeches start to fill the air as the light awakens dozens of Ravagers. For now they are only just starting to stir but soon the swarm will begin to attack as well.
(Ravager Swarm: A ravager in the swarm can be auto killed at a rate of 1 per every 5 posts a character has but only if the character focuses on attacking them. The swarm will harass 2 people per round until it is dealt with.)
Sakura honestly should have expected something like this happening. Missions? Being somewhat easy? Yeah, right. As if that would ever happen. Thank goodness for aura and the skill of her fellow comrades. Without that, she’s pretty sure half of them would be seriously injured. That or dead. It was a pretty steep fall. Sakura still had her eyes closed tightly before she finally peeked open one eye before looking around. Oh, she was alive too. That’s a relief. And she was also being held onto by Ren. Thank goodness but also really awkward. She gives him an light bonk on the head. “Okay, you can let me go now.” Once on her feet, she gives him a small smile and a nod. “Thanks. Nice work, Ren.”
She looked around at the people she was now stuck with. Her team and Team Nightshade. She couldn’t say she really knew much about everyone. Outside of her own team, Sakura kept to herself mostly. Reading in private, training in private, breathing in private. That sort of thing. ‘That’s probably why you didn’t have a date to the dance.’ Sakura thinks to herself. She internally glares since she is letting her own thoughts insult her at this point. Kind of sad, really. Maybe after this mission is over (and no one dies) she’ll actually talk to these people. Even if they clash with her own personality. Particularly the louder ones. Why is social interaction so sucky sometimes?
But she can think about her crippling social life later. It’s time to take on the role of leader again and take note of everything. Skylar’s injured really badly along with some others with minor injuries, most of them can’t or can barely see and they are in an unknown place without any idea of how to get out. And also they may or may not be alone if Skylar’s words are to be trusted. “I’m fine for now.” May or may not have seen her life flash before her eyes. It’s cool. She steps closer to Yui or at least to who she assumes is Yui, needing a better light source to see.
As everyone gathers their bearings and heal up, she does her best to have a look at everything around then and that’s when she notices lights. A sudden bad feeling washes over her which is only confirmed when said lights begin moving. “Uh oh…” She mumbles under her breath. Well, this isn’t good. It doesn’t take long to see that they are seriously surrounded by Grimm. She slowly gets in fighting position. “Quick. Get ready to go on the offensive, everyone!” She reaches for her weapon, Grunhilde, which she unwraps from his position from her waist as a makeshift belt. She wishes there were more time for a more concrete plan but it seems that they were just going to have to wing it and hopefully come up with a solid plan on the way.
Ren and Sakura had managed to flex and land on their feet before rolling forward as he helped to guide her to a stop, causing him to grunt with pain. He had messed up his roll to help guide Sakura and took a sharp rock to his aura-covered shoulder while he heard Sakura. He let go of her as he grunted and got up to his feet as she complimented him, causing him to blush faintly but it was probably from the drink rather tha embarrassment before he heard Yui announce herself. "Ren and Sakura present of Team Solar." He managed to say before she walked loser to him and Sakura and commented about the wind dust bottle. Now he was blushing from being a bit embarrassed while he nodded his head. "I was honestly surprised.... I got them ready so quick it was a miracle that it was helpful." He responded calmly as he soon made time to mention. "Wind, Lightning, Fire, Gravity, Water, and and Ice." He listed the mixed drinks and by a large margin he got lucky before he looked around to see everyone had made it down before he looked around and could see the forms moving. His ears twitched before he looked to Sakura and because she was a human, he knew she couldn't deal with Ravager's effectively.
He reached into his backpack and pounded another drink before he threw the empty can at one of the Stalkers. In a moment of Brilliance, he shouted. "Yui! You and any fliers take care of the ravagers, provide us with light from the fires! Anyone who can't aim for crap due to not having guns, form up and fight these scorpion looking monsters!!!" He was showing bravado, and momentary hard thought as his ears were flickering around like crazy. He was making note of everything as his eyes narrowed before he soon waited for someone to have a better idea as Sakura beside him got into a fighting position. His idea was sound, anyone who couldn't take care of flying enemies in a dark cave, should focus on the threat that they can hit. Those who could hit or match the flying ravagers, should focus on them and ease up the amount.

She was slightly dizzy and she had a mean headache, but, the dizziness was already starting to dissipate. Plus, she had a nagging feeling that they couldn't afford to just sit back and recover as she winced, finding the small gash in her head. Of course, she knew she'd need to tend to it soon. Head wounds tended to bleed quite a bit. but, she wasn't in eminent danger of losing consciousness or anything from blood loss yet.
Athe overly energetic Tabby started off a roll call as others answered in kind. It didn't even make it through half their number though when she saw a glowing object, shaped like an inverted teardrop that eminated a golden glow, followed by another and she instantly took flight. She remembered that particular glow from the Grimm swarm that had hit her home town when she was younger. This was bad. Deathstalkers were some of the harder Grimm to harm according to her Nana. Either you needed to hit them incredibly hard, or find hard-to-hit weak points where their carapace wasn't protecting. At first glance...she doubted any but Widget might even stand a chance of punching through. And that was only a maybe. She didn't know how strong that suit was or what exactly it had in terms of arsenal. But, her thought were interrupted as a swarm of flying wasp-like grimm rushed forward, some of them breaking off and coming straight for her. She cast a glance at the others. She couldn't think of anything else to do in this situation, and it'd be dangerous. In such a confined space, it'd probably bounce around and intensify, potentially hurting the others or cause more of the cave to give in. But, they needed to slow the Grimm down.
”Cover your ears! She covered her own ears and took a deep breath before shrieking out, her semblance amplifying the soundwaves into a piercing wail that slammed into the flying ones coming for her, sending them to the ground, writhing in agony, eight of which had stopped moving before hitting the ground She kept up the shriek for as long as her lungs could hold out, focussing on trying to keep her semblance amplifying the pressure for as long as she could, hoping she could keep them staggered or at least slowed down long enough to fall back. ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:SLAR█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁

Widget was about to scan further along when a light came from behind her. She winced and recoiled from the glow, covering her eyes. It hadn't been bright enough to blind her, but, it was enough to sting painfully. She fumbled for a moment to get her goggles back on to protect her eyes before turning to see it was coming from the one named Yui as she started to encourage others to come to the source of light she held. She hesitantly made her own way over and began to climb into her suit."A warning would have been appreciated. I wasn't wearing my goggles. Much brighter, that could have blinded me. There's an exit, but, it's partially caved in. Might take some time, but, we might be able to clear it with my sui-"She heard clattering of falling rocks behind her and the skittering of something large moving. She turned and saw the glowing tails and her stomach knotted. Why did it have to be Deathstalkers? Of course, they were extremely dangerous, but, she had a particular distaste for them. Those tails were a painful reminder of her own tail and the isolation it had brought her. Above her, she heard Skylar tell everyone to cover their ears. She did so, but, still, she winced at the sound the flying faunus made following the warning.

XXXThankfully it appeared that the remainder of her team was healthy and present. Surely it was due to Ren's last-ditch efforts to save both himself and Sakura that they were all standing here in the shape they were. Ren continued to chime in explaining the nature of his 'mixed drinks' among his actual beverages, then listed off what others he had at his disposal. "Remarkable." Yui said softly, and though her tone held the usual flat voice, one with hearing as good as Ren's could catch the pitch raise of admiration. The more the girl thought of it, the more sense it made. His weapon was strictly meleed with no projectile functionality. How else was he supposed to use his supplied dust to the fullest? Learning a new fact aside, they had other matters at hand. With that, she could mentally check off eight total individuals, not including the hound, that made it through the fiasco. Did that mean the two teams were separated from everyone else? A few names ran rampant in her mind of those she got separated from. Those of the vanguard, Dee, Nox, and even Auburn. Then those of the Sternguard, Prince, and Francheska. Their ranks were abolished in an instant, leaving them with two goals in mind. Reunited with the others, and or proceed forward with the mission. The faintest pang of guilt struck her as Widget commented about her fire nearly blinding her. Before she could apologize though, a disturbance came.
Unfortunately, any plan to proceed forward would fizzle in merely seconds as a sea of orange and crimson eyes lit up the darkness. The faint glow from the ceiling above was drowned out by the eye-catching illumination of the teardrop like stringer from Deathstalkers that crept from the abyss around them. Though Ren's hearing was on point, it was Sakura's first words that ordered them to prepare to engage. This was the first time that any of them had a chance to truly operate with Skylar, but the three of them had a working knowledge of what the others were capable of. While Sakura prepared the defensive, Ren took charge of the situation and tossed a can of liquid courage at one of the stalkers, barking out a plan that seemed sound enough. Better than what anyone else had given them, at least. "On it, request aerial assistance as needed." Yui confirmed with a nod, then drew a handful of actual arrows from the quiver on her back. She'd clutch the wooden shafts against the burning arrow of her own creation, igniting the arrows in their own blue flames as the wood began to burn. Before she'd take to the sky, she'd stab one normal burning arrow into the ground as a light beacon, trying her best to embed it's silvertip into the earthy floor. If it wouldn't stick, then it'd simply lie there, continuing to do its job as a light. Then, with that in place, she'd flap her wings and take to the sky as the ravagers began their swarm. Her first thought, though, was Ren's specific request to create light with her fire. With her remaining burning arrows, she'd shoot burning shafts one by one to the ground below, giving the ground-bound fighters an area of faint illumination. It wasn't the most accurate work. In fact, rather sloppy as it was only meant to spread the light and not hit any intended target. Once five burning arrows here left burning on the cave floor, she'd turn her pale blue orbs towards the collective of piercing orange gazes from the forming swarm before her. It was time to engage. This time, with someone flying by her side. At least, that's what she had intended.
Quick to engage, Yui would fly directly towards the littered ravagers with seeming reckless abandon. After all, it was best to strike before they could overwhelm them with numbers. Yui would discard her last tinderbox arrow from her left hand, towards and above the ravagers to avert their gaze, taking that action to tuck her bow away. In her right, however, the clasp on her thumb would illuminate a vivid azure before the embers erupted from it, taking the shape of an infernal rapier that would brighten the darkness around her. As if the girl was rolling with advantage, she'd take the moment of opportunity to impale the first of many ravagers with her rapier. The burning edge of the blade would cleave through the bat-like creature, revealing the glowing red insides before it dissolved away to nothing more than dust in the shadows. One down. Jerking her body sharply, she'd change her trajectory but used her same momentum to throw herself at the next set of ravagers. The first would have its neck slashed by the blazing blade. The next, its head struck by her metal covered hand to daze it before impaling it with her rapier, then push off its dissolving corpse. Two and three. All she had to do was keep this up and try her best to not let the swarm overwhelm her. As she tried to break away, her rapier slashed through another two. The first had its wings clipped, the next cleaved through its own open mouth and down its torso. Four, now five, leaving her just enough space to break away. She kept her flaps to a minimum, letting herself dive away, then using her strength only to gain altitude with her newly gained momentum to swoop up towards the ravagers once more.
Again, Yui would utilize her airborne agility and swiftness with her blade to execute the batlike creatures. Flying directly into one, slamming her knee into its chest before stabbing up into it with her blade. Six. She'd use its discarded body to push towards another, then cleave through both the dissolving and living to take the lift of another. Seven now. One reckless beast would take the initiative, sinking its jaws onto the blazing blade itself in an attempt to sacrifice itself and stop their infernal reckoning. While one bat held its own as the blade burned through its jaw, another seized the opportunity to attack Yui directly with an open maw. Yui's pale orbs would dash between the two for only a moment, though her reflexes kicked in without missing a beat. Rather than summoning another tinder weapon to her aid, she'd instead reach for her quiver with her left hand to draw an arrow. Gripping the shaft tightly, she'd swing overhead, embedding the tip into the burning ravagers eye and force it to release her blade as she released her arrow. Then, in just as swift of motion, she'd brace the flat edge against her left palm. This lets the open maw of the ravager collide with a blazing rapier, letting its own momentum do the work of cleaving cleanly through its skull for her. Both creatures would dissolve to dust, their light leaving them in darkness. Eight, nine. The creatures were getting more erratic with her own light show. Despite her thinning out the forming swarm, it began to swell in a flurry of bright lights. Of the swarm, only a few came her way. One swooshed through the air, diving directly towards her only to meet the tip of her blade in a flicking motion, discarding the creature into another cloud of dust. 'Where are they going? My light should be drawing them... ... It is." Why did it take the girl so long to make such a dreadful realisation? She set up beacons of light for others, and those very beacons would draw the batlike creatures to them.
Down below she'd hear a familiar voice. One that told them to cover their ears, to brace themselves. It was Skylar, and what did that... mean...? '.. Her semblance.. Oh no.. Ren!' Yui distinctly remembered at the briefing that Skylar shared a tidbit of her semblance, a matter of amplified soundwaves that could harm those around her. It was something she came to the conclusion that she wouldn't use in the cave, and what was she doing now?!Worse yet, Skylar didn't know her team well enough. If she had, she'd know that Ren's ears were often the key to their survival. It was them that heard the ground cracking, it was them that heard the cracking legs and rustling wings. They were hypersensitive, and she was about to ... Well, there was no about now. She had already done it. Skylar, wait, Ren is ri-!" Yui's rapier danced between her fingers, letting her free a finger for her to plug both ears. Her own words were dulled, then drowned out by the wail that pierced the cave. Fortunately, she herself was high enough to only feel the after-effects, the gusts ruffling her feathers before she pulled away, beginning to dive. This was bad, setting off what was essentially a sonic boom right next to Ren as he was about to engage a Deathstalker. She couldn't help but worry for the rabbit and chose to disengage.
In her descent, though, her head began to ring as she got closer to the vibrating shockwaves from the continuous wail on Skylar's behalf. It was enough to take down some of the ravagers in an instant, and leave others more disoriented than she was getting. As she dropped further, she'd reap the opportunity given and begin cleaving through the disoriented ravagers as she got closer to the ground. This, of course, meant dropping half her defense to the piercing wail. Many were writhing and shrieking, discombobulated by the sound, which allowed Yui's rapier to burn right their wings, bodies, and heads. In rapid succession, six of the writhing ravagers would burn and crumble to dust, bringing her total count to sixteen. At that point, her head was pounding as she grit her teeth. Even though she wasn't flying directly in the path of the wail, the resonating shockwaves were enough to rattle her brain senseless. 'Idiotic. After you already ruled out the option. If she ruptured his eardrums, I swear... Though I do owe Widget an apology. " Her thoughts were blunter than the words she spoke, but she was well aware that she was similarly guilty with Widget's eye sensitivity. Unfortunately, in darkness, there wasn't much else they could do. She'd race past Skylar, attempting to shout a suggestion that would likely never pierce the volume of her wail. "Skylar, alter your tactics! You're causing a friendly fire!" Her voice would likely never carry, but her wings would whoosh past her and towards the other duo of her team. She'd touch down just in front of Ren, between him and the taunted stalker. With her right ear ringing, her focus bounced from Sakura to Ren. Wincing from the soundwaves, she'd plug her right ear again. "I'm here, rely on me as needed!" Once more, she doubted her voice would even carry to the recipient; if he could even hear anymore. She readied herself to aid the two in any way possible, even if it meant putting herself between Ren and the deathstalker he just engaged with. She had no way of knowing yet how Skylar's audio bomb affected the faunus.
