Quote: There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time! Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height. 1. A basilisk - 1d6 2. A goat - 1d8 3. A wolf - 1d10 4. A spider -1d6 5. A tiger - 1d8 6. Turtle - 1d4 The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet. If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place. gaia_star If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a old saddle. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

More things needed to be done. Shun heard what he had to do, then set out to find one of these oversized minipets. It didn't take him too long before he found the giant spider that had a saddle attached to its back. "Time to go home, you eight legged jacking beast," Shun demanded harshly.

Lock was seriously starting to worry about Shun. He was beyond erratic and was verging into annoying territory. Lock couldn't do his damn duty to these villagers if Shun was going to keep exploding like this.
He tried his best to ignore it, and set his sights on an ugly goat. One that looked tamer than most of the apex minipets. Of course "tame" was relative when they were all hostile and vicious.
"Stay close," Lock told him gruffly, crossing his arms and heading off to wrangle his own beast.

Shun grabbed the reins of the spider and began to drag it. The large arachnid decided to try and flee instead when this happened. And such, the reaper shadowstepped in front of it and used the basilisk's eye to lock it down. "You are not going anywhere."Spider distance: 1

Lock was very short compared to this enormous goat thing.
How was he even supposed to get on it ...........
Voodoo meowed and diverted his attention to a nearby ledge. Ah. That's how.

Lock finally got his goat to be slightly reasonable, and pushed a little past Shun (it wasn't really a huge gain since the goat was zigzaging and bucking and doing all sorts of things to try and get Lock off).
"Race?" he asked Shun, while holding on for dear life.

Shun gave Lock a sort of wild and deadly stare. No words were spoken. But like hell he was going to let himself lose. Challenge accepted. And such he gave the spider another boot. Spider distance: 11

Lock yanked down on the reins as well, pulling his goat somewhat ahead of Shun's.
At this point, Voodoo jumped off the creature's head and did a sort of miniature shadowstep to the ground, baiting the creature towards the village. Was it cheating? Maybe a little. Did Lock care? No.

Lock really wasn't normally a competitive type. He had reaper pride and he didn't like to be last of course, but he normally skated by in gym class by sticking to the back and hiding behind bigger people.
For whatever reason cough miasma, he was feeling particularly aggressive. He was going to kick Shun's a**.

The goat reared and Lock nearly fell off, but he saved himself by clinging to one of the goat's massive horns.
Voodoo was laughing pretty hard at that one.
