- It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some eggs. Some untainted, un-miasma fused precious wyvern eggs from an exotic wyvern couple that sadly passed away. You must scale a very high mountain in order to get these eggs.
- Your character is dropped off at the base of the mountain. The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. To scale the mountain, you must write a jaunty 250 word post of your character scaling the mountain. You can do this as you please, there are plenty of angry nesting minipets, boulders, and possibly giant serpents blocking your way. As you reach the top, obtain the egg, and you are ready to begin your descent.
- Every single creature possible, especially rolling sand lobsters, will try to destroy your egg. Roll 1d4 four times and match your dice roll to the prompt below to reach the bottom of the mountain. Yes, repeats do happen if you roll a repeat. Your egg has 10 HP. If you make it down without the egg reaching 0 HP (breaking) you made it!
1) A sand lobster rolls right into your egg and nearly breaks it! -2 HP 2) Strange velociraptor minipets are hungrily staring at your egg. They try to attack it! -1 HP 3) A giant snake smacks you with its giant tail. Ouch! -3 HP 4) Nothing happens. You were lucky!

After his experience in the knight dream, Lock was really beginning to hate climbing mountains. Why were precious treasures never stored in like ... a barn in a friendly meadow?
He picked Voodoo up by the scruff of her neck and dissipated her, knowing full well what kind of havoc she could cause on the side of a mountain. This pissed her off, of course, but Lock was willing to deal with the repercussions to keep them from sabotage.
Sometimes he wished he just had a pair of daggers like Shun.
"Ready?" he asked, just in case Shun wanted to bow out. He doubted it, but it was worth a shot.

"As ready as one can be," Shun said with an impassive shrug. They now needed to traverse through the mountains for some sort of egg. The exact reasoning was beyond him, but he supposed the villagers were either unwilling or simply incapable of doing it on their own. As he moved on through some of the thicker areas of foliage, he whacked away at the leaves with his daggers to help clear a path. Daggers were not the ideal for this sort of thing, but he had to make due with what he had. If the egg was as large as he was lead to believe, a clear path on the way back would probably be ideal, anyway. In the end, he had a feeling other issues would come up, but he didn't have much of a way to predict what might happen.
"Keep an eye out for the nest. It should not be much farther now," he stated, after spending some time of travel. It at least felt like they had been climbing and treking through the wilderness for awhile, now. Hopefully, they would not end up getting lost on the way back. It might not the easiest, with all the fog and whatnot, but he was at least confident that they would be able to make it back. Cutting away some of the foliage should help in that regard as well.
"Wait. Is that it up ahead?" he asked, squinting with his good eye. There was something ahead for certain, at least. He just couldn't quite tell if it was the nest.

Lock nodded at Shun's sentiment. He was glad to have another person traveling with him, but any number of people wasn't going to guarantee their safety at the top. He still had some trauma from the lava caverns and the great soaring heights from the knights dream.
He also had a sneaking suspicion that there was a reason the villagers weren't venturing to the top of the mountain.
"What will the nest look like?" he asked, mirroring his question from the minipet search. Certainly if it was a wyvern's nest it would be very large, but what if these were small wyverns? How were they supposed to find tiny little bird-like nests on the enormity of the mountain? Especially when the mountain was HUGE and COVERED IN MIST.
His shadow powers proved relatively useless, at least. What was he going to do, shadow the foliage out of the way? Shun's daggers were much better for this kind of thing. Lock was glad anyways- it meant he didn't have to summon Voodoo. He noticed Shun's apprehensiveness for getting lost on the way back down. At the very least, he trailed some of his shadows down the mountain like a thin string so they could find their way back. The mentee was good for something!
When Shun pointed, Lock squinted with him. "I think so ... It's frustrating not having the ability to manipulate this mist. Piper would be useful." Could the elemental mage even move this stuff? It was mist technically, right?
They got closer and it was in fact an enormous nest with four huge eggs sitting in the center. Lock blinked a few times, not suspecting them to be so big. "Nevermind, I know what the nest looks like," he said. "How should we go about carrying them down?"
"Very carefully. Stay alert. There is no telling what might come at us on the way back."
The way up was one thing, but he had a feeling some creatures would attempt to take advantage of them while they had their hands full. Literally. Moving over towards the egg, he let out a breath before hefting it up into his arms. It was awkwardly large. He waited a few moments for Lock to do the same, then started his way back down. As he did this, a tiny raptor sprang out at him. He managed to kick it away.

Of course one of the sand lobsters would get him.
Why would they avoid him?
THEY NEVER LEFT PEOPLE ALONE WHEN THEY WERE JUST MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS TRYING TO FIRE A BOW.
Lock already had trouble with the egg; it was large and while Lock was growing taller every day, he was very gangling and not really good at carrying spherical objects. So when the lobster came rolling towards him, he didn't really have a choice in the matter.
Sighing, he summoning Voodoo to his side. "Keep them away. Do not interfere, or I will have Shun flay you."
Shun continued along, focusing on getting back down the path and to the villager who wanted these damn eggs. He thought another raptor would come at him, but he was very wrong on the matter. All of the sudden, a large serpent appeared and lunged at him. He managed to not drop the egg, but the impact nearly took him off his feet.
"s**t. We are attracting too many predators. Hurry."

Another rock lobster rolled into him.
If Lock could have looked into the camera like he was on the Office, he would have.
However, he was too busy trying to keep his balance with the egg while also getting Voodoo to fend off the rock lobster. Thankfully she complied for once (maybe because she wanted to see him get hit by it again).
He nodde dat Shun's command. "If I could, I would." Hurrying with the egg was ... not really an option.
Though he was trying to get away, the serpent would not relent. Shun got knocked forward as it dove at him once more. He wanted to just drop the egg and slay the pesky creature, but a job was a job. That came first. He did aim a kick to the serpent's body as it retreated back into the ground. He might need to try and time a shadowstep if it appeared again. EGG: 3 Roll 3
While Lock was busy being assaulted by little rolling lobster things, Shun was keeping an eye out for that giant serpent. Little did he know, the raptor had returned, ready to try again. It jumped out at him, screeching with something that might either be hunger or anger. The reaper didn't care. He just kicked it away again. After that, he found himself at the end of the line. Aka... back to the village. He went

Then the damn dinosaur chasing Shun started chasing after him. He was suddenly longing for the rock lobsters- they were a little bit easier to handle.
But be it by Jack's blessing or their own damn luck they made it to the bottom. He hefted his egg into the box alongside Shun's and wiped his hands clean of the whole ordeal.
