Aspirations: Maelie hopes to expand her magical capabilities beyond what she can do now as well as gain a better understanding and control over her doll manipulation.
Personality:
Apathetic:
Generally rather silent or listless.
Maelie almost always has her poker face on and hardly ever shows emotion about anything. While inside she might be bursting at the seams with joy.
Cautious:
Attentive to the actions of others as well as her own.
The way this apathetic girl learns about others is by silently watching them and taking note of their actions and the things they say. She is definitely not one to make a decision about someone or something until she has carefully studied it, weighing the pro's and con's.
Social:
Thrives best when social.
Despite being devoid of almost all emotions, Maelie is actually quite social. However, that still does not mean she will be a chat kathy or extremely friendly and exuberant. She is still as listless as ever but she does enjoy the company of others and may at times seek it out. She will often do something to bring attention to herself so that someone can start a conversation.
Vain:
Stares at herself in the mirror for hours.
To put it simply Maelie cares to much about her looks. She will often spend hours if not days planning her outfits meticulous let alone her makeup and hair. When passing by a mirror she will often stop and admire herself as well. Maelie does in fact carry a mirror and brush with her everywhere she goes in order to make sure she looks perfect all the time. Just like a doll. (Akin to perfectionism).
Devoted:
Once she is on you're side it's for life.
When she forms a bond with someone she is not one to easily give it up or tarnish their relationship. These select view can always count on her to be on their side when times get tough. But again, she will show this in odd and confusing ways. Meaning, despite her forming a bond with someone she will still be apathetic and listless and maybe at times a slight bit harsh.

History Family background
Growing up Maelie can openly admit that she probably had the perfect life. She had two wonderful parents who raised her to be self-sufficient and confident in herself. While they did fight now and again their marriage certainly seemed to be perfect. They treated Maelie like she was their little princess and that their world revolved around her. Despite all this, Maelie's family was actually quite poor. Her mother and father own their own handmade clothing shop and had to often work themselves to death just to make ends meet. However, they never let their little girl go without. Even if it meant they would go without basic needs for themselves they never let her feel like their situation and position in life was anything to worry about.
Coming to the Academy
Around fifteen Maelie discovered her affinity for magic while playing with a doll she had just received as a present from her parents. What she discovered shocked and almost mortified her as, well, her parents were not magic wielders (or if they were they hid this fact so that they could keep their business alive). Under the cover of darkness Maelie would practice with the doll that had unlocked her abilities. She found that she was able to soul transfer herself into the doll. Despite being able to put herself in the doll she could not actually control it's body. Aka, walk around as a doll, talk, ect. When she finally turned seventeen and was able to attend the Academy she quickly signed herself up and broke the news to her parents. They of course were shocked and were in utter disbelief at this out of the blue revelation. Sadly, after finding out they came to the decision together that it was best that she went to live at the Academy as she had planned because there was no longer a place for her in their home.
Academy life
Since coming to the Academy Maelie has managed to get a better grasp on her doll manipulation and while she is still unable to move around in a doll's body, she can get it to talk. This is however only a few short sentences. Maelie is also trying to delve more into actually being a puppeteer of sorts, allowing her to control a doll or multiple dolls without actually having to be inside of them. Thus far these attempts have proven in vain but she isn't willing to give up just yet.

Abilities Soul Transfer:◎ Ability to transfer her soul into that of a doll. During this she is able to talk but is unable to actually move while within a dolls body.Doll Manipulation:◎ Ability to control dolls with magic. This is her current field of training. Currently she is unable to control any doll without being inside of them.
