It was evening time in Moonfall, prime time for getting a meal on the go. Rosel meandered down the street, sipping contentedly from the witches that brushed past. It seemed everyone she passed had shopping bags, and as much as she hated to admit it, Rosel felt a bit left out. She hadn't bought anything in ages, outside of the drinks and cover charges she needed to get close to her prey. As it was, she was in the mood to buy something, but didn’t have any particular idea what.
She passed a shoe store, with apparently very bad taste. Fake pearls were bad enough, but garnishing them on the front of perfectly decent heels? Ew.
Next was men's wear, not bad. Apparently scarves were all the rage for the season.
She paused for a moment at the jewelry store, cupping her hands daintily behind her as she leaned forward to the window. Sapphires seemed to be very en vogue recently, and the display was a testament to that. Earrings, necklaces, and rings rested on tiny satin pillows in a complimentary cream color. The next display were diamonds, which were, of course, always fashionable, but rather dull in Rosel’s opinion.
Giving up on the jewelry, she moved to the next store, which displayed some lovely ladies’ wear. Perfect. Tucking her hands back again, she strutted by the display windows, stopping abruptly at the one next to the door. It was a sultry thing, far less opulent than the frills and brocade. It was a short silk dress with a lacy back, dark blue with some green designs stitched into the trim. Now that was something she wanted.
Turning abruptly, she strode into the store. Silk and lace, two of her favorite things. ~Kiana_Nala~ Sorry it took a while, had a hard time starting this for some reason...

As Maelie walked down the sidewalk of Moonfall she had more deliberate steps, though most would believe with her slow stride she was simply walking aimlessly without a destination in mind. However, this was not the case at all. In fact the young ars lilium was on her way to a store where she often bought clothes, though mostly custom made items. Today Maelie seemed to inwardly frazzled though once more the outside witch or non-witch would most likely have a hard time deciphering this as she rarely showed any emotion outwardly that wasn't stoic.
Finally the girl seemed to arrive at her destination only a few minutes after the witch eater. Unlike the previous girl though she spared no time before entering the establishment to see the latest fashions. Upon entering she promptly headed for the tailoring part of the store and held out a sleeve from a dress that she had hidden away in a purse that was attached to her left shoulder. It had a very tiny hole just a couple inches bigger than a pinprick. Most would have seen this as a very minor detail that could be overlooked as most likely no one would probably even notice it. However, to Maelie it was probably equivalent to the sleeve completely missing. Anything that was out of the ordinary with her appearance was promptly fixed. This was no different. Though, because it was a minor thing that could be fixed she had at least come to get it fixed rather then burning the clothing all together.
The tailor took the clothing item and informed her that they would get it fixed as soon as possible. Maelie nodded and silently strode back into the department side of the store. Now she could finally spare a moment to add something to her collection. It was a good thing she lived alone and had no one to buy things for, otherwise she would not have been able to spend the money she earned in the ways that she did. Which was mostly clothing and accessories. However, that was only after she had bought the absolutely necessary things she needed to survive such as food.
Her green eyes widened just a smidgen as they caught the sight of the silk dress with a lace back. She usually tried to stay away from 'revealing' clothing as it could easily show any imperfection that she absolutely could not snuff out, however, this dress was worth a closer inspection. When she reached the dress she noticed that a girl with blonde hair and a bright green belt seemed to be admiring the dress herself. Seems as if she was not the only one intrigued by it's design. This girl had nothing to worry about as Maelie had no intention of buying it, though, she was certainly going to get her eye full of it. "Hello." Maelie said simply enough. It was certainly your average greeting.

As Rosel moved into the store, she heard the door open behind her, but didn’t stop to see who it was. If it was for her, they’d let her know. Right now, all that mattered was that dress. She had intended to sift through the racks and see what other little treasures she could find, but it looked like this wasn’t quite her store. She passed by rows of long sleeves and buttoned collars, only catching a glimpse of short skirts towards the end. It seemed the exciting things were only on the back rack, as though the store was ashamed of them. Rosel instantly pitied the nameless designer; such talent wasted in a store filled with dresses better suited for oversized porcelain dolls.
Taking a corner, Rosel ran a finger over the fine silk. The lace was intricate, and there didn’t appear to be any snags. The swirling green designs around the trim looked better from a passing glance than close inspection, but Rosel could forgive that. Overall score – not bad.
Movement to her side caught her eye and she looked up to see another young woman perusing the aisle with a slow, meandering walk. She certainly seemed to be in her element, all dressed up in frills and bows, and such a disappointingly high collar. Oddly enough though, she seemed to be interested in the cute little number Rosel herself had set her eyes on.
Not happening, honey.
”Hi there.” A short greeting in return, but Rosel needed to lay claim to this dress before Doll-face stole it out from under her… Snapping the dress against her, she held it against her with her other hand. ”Well? She posed dramatically. ”What do you think?”
