"Hush." The young ars lilium said to a small doll that was held within her arms as she walked through the mall in Moonfall. She had no clear destination in mind as she walked down the pathway, which seemed to irk the small doll; her familiar. Maelie had once again been unable to escape the rather menacing toy that was intent on constantly tagging along with her wherever she went. Unless of course Maelie managed to sneak out of her home without the doll noticing. Sadly this did not happen often and it appeared today that she had once again failed at being a master in the art of stealth. The doll appeared to be lifeless and for all intents and purposes, nothing more then a doll. However, it was of course anything but lifeless. As much as Maelie loved her familiar sometimes, such as this moment, she wished that her familiar wasn't living. Though if she was Maelie would probably go insane from not only boredom but loneliness.
The green eyed girl stopped mid stride and looked down at the doll. For a moment she showed a clear irritated look at the doll before quickly hiding it back within herself. "Do not be difficult today Layla. Or else we shall return home without a treat for you." Maelie warned the doll as she wagged a finger before it. She knew this threat would probably only last a few short and far to brief moment but it would be enough time for her to gather her thoughts once more. One thing that could frazzle this seemingly stoic girl was her familiar. And my was it a trouble maker at times. Well, pretty much all the time.
Right about now Maelie wished that there was a distraction. She would make due with just about anything right now. Her green scanned the massive sea of people for anyone that would be willing to stop and talk. Then Maelie could ignore Layla as much as she wanted. If only you had stayed home today. Or, if only you hadn't noticed me grabbing my purse which you had hidden. She thought delicately within her mind. Hopefully Layla hadn't caught that. It probably would have been worse for her in terms of ranting if she did.
