{Shadow Tag} ~
This spell heavily relies on the amount of shadows she is able to manipulate. Meaning being outside at high noon, this spell will fail. When she uses this spell, Shaden is able to stand on top of another individuals shadow and make them 'freeze'. Essentially, they become paralyzed for as long as she can hold them. Which is not very long if they are more powerful in both strength and power. Usually, she tends to use this when teamed up with a partner as it works well when paired with another spell.
{Lightning Strike} ~
Not nearly as strong as her growing ability with shadows, but this spell allows for two different scenarios. The first is using the lightning element she is able to 'charge' herself with to pass it along into her scythe, where the blade becomes wrapped in lightning. This is effective in momentarily stunning or paralyzing an opponent, though she is limited on the number of uses she can get out of this particular magic. The second form this spell can take is in a single, yet somewhat strong, bolt of lightning she is able to summon forth and 'throw' at her opponent. It requires a great deal of concentration on her part and she is only able to successfully pull this spell of twice in battle. After using it, she usually needs several hours to recover before being able to invoke the spell again.
{Cloak of Shadows} ~
Using the shadows, she is able to manipulate them in a way that they act as a sort of 'cloak' and thus making her seem 'invisible'. Her scent becomes masked and sound negated. However this spell can not work if there are no shadows around to manipulate. It is strongest and most successfully wielded at night. It is also a very skilled spell when applied to stealth abilities. Shaden is also able to use this when in her Mononoke form.
{Blanket of Oblivion} ~
Her most powerful spell and the most taxing to use on her power. When this spell is used, a 'wall' of shadows descends on everyone within a certain radius around Shaden, including herself. Once settled, for as long as she can hold it, everyone trapped within will find themselves stuck in a void of pitch black. No sight, sound is distorted, and your senses seem to feel off. It is possible to 'shut down' your senses and maneuver your way through the darkness. Should Shaden be struck down or her limit on maintaining this spell is reached, the spell will crack and dissipate, leaving all within slightly disoriented. This spell will very much weaken Shaden and leave her vulnerable to attack.

sнαdєи ωнσ?~  Being the only daughter of a wealthy family, there was a lot riding on her shoulders. Her father wanted her to excel at everything she did and be his prodigy daughter. The fact that she had much stronger ability with her magic than he himself had only made this desire stronger. Shaden, however, did not agree. She did not want to be her father's little puppet daughter. She had her own wants and wishes. And foremost, she wanted to actually enjoy being a kid. Not be pampered endlessly, shown off like a prized possession, acting like a doll to showcase for future family alliances. Basically, she hated living in a wealthy family.
When old enough, Shaden enrolled in Makai Academy to begin studies as a witchling. She chose to live on campus instead of back home in Lumena. Her father was not pleased by this, but the high marks and praises from her teachers was an alright reward for this choice. Little did he know that Shaden didn't plan on coming back home after her time at Makai. But she did want to succeed and learn all that she could in order to be a good witch. Her ability to change shapes caused some strains in keeping friends, as she seemed to always find the ones that were jealous of her ability to shift into a snow leopard. Really, it was just her bad luck in picking 'friends'. Any difficulties she may have had were dealt with on her own as finding a Mononoke that had some years of experience on them was hard to come back at the Academy. Often times she found people giving her curious looks as this bit of magic developed, not that she could blame them! Ears and a tail tend to make almost anyone have that 'I want to fluff your ears and tail' expression about them. Her father, too, was exceptionally proud of this latest news. Although he was a little dismayed when he learned that Shaden began to retain a tail and ears while in human form - though he was quite ecstatic that she could shift forms - as her magic grew stronger in all levels. Nor was he pleased that she seemed inclined to focus on shadow manipulation. There were much more suitable magic concentrations then shady abilities like playing with shadows!
As Shaden further excelled in the art of shape-shifting and shadow manipulation, her relationship with her father and the rest of her family became strained. She was clearly not being a good daughter and rebelling against her family's wishes! Her presence was demanded back at home the instant she graduated from the Academy. They didn't care about what she wanted. Only what having such a prodigy daughter could mean for their family. Too bad they didn't take into account her stubborn will to do what she wanted.
It was about this time that she met, through some random means of fate, a Reaper. Fascinated by them and the strong wills to do what they were best at captured her interest like a moth to light. Shaden spent a good portion of the day talking with the Reaper and learning about them. And when she finally graduated from the Academy, instead of going home as was demanded of her, she disappeared. Or more accurately never spoke with her family again found herself at Poena Privus Castle Ruins. Home of the Reaper Organization. There, she has trained and honed her skills as a Reaper as well as her shape-shifting abilities.
Shaden has become very independent with a strong stubborn will to do what she wants with her life. Not what someone else wants for their own ambitions. Having had to constantly battle her family's will verses her own, Shaden learned how to suffer silently behind a smile, internalizing her feelings. She does not like tell anyone about her problems, only doing so reluctantly and only with someone she knows. She tries not to be secretive, but does not like to share much about herself with another. Where once she wasn't very trusting, always believing someone had a hidden agenda, she is now more willing to give someone a chance. Shaden has begun to understand that it was her family that caused her to put shields up (in the metaphysical sense) tightly around herself. She can be very wary around strangers and new people she meets, tending to be on the quiet side at first. However, once she does warm up to you you'll discover she can be pretty nice and a little spunky. Only someone she really trusts will her guard drop and the spunky woman she really is slip out. The one that cares for others and will be surprisingly loyal. But there are too few people she really trusts that much and the sweeter side of her tends to remain hidden in shadow. Although she is working hard to remedy this and very much appreciates those that are patient with her.

нσмє sωєєт нσмє~  Current Residence: Poena Privus Castle Ruins**Image from front page - credit to respective artist** The PadNot the biggest or most spacious of places one could own, but it's a homey little studio apartment. A daybed is set along the longer wall with one of the two windows in the apartment located behind it. Next to this there is black comfy chair for any guests she might have over to sit on, though most of the time they just sit on her bed. Across from this against another wall is a small TV that sits on top of modern looking black dresser. Just to the sides of the bed are small little end tables in a black that matches the dresser. Placed between the bed and the dresser along the third wall is a simple bookcase that holds a mixture of books, candles, and what appear to be a few journals. But mostly books. Except for the top shelf. A stereo occupies this.
Glancing around the room you will definitely notice that the theme is dark colors. The walls have black wallpaper with large red rose designs scattered throughout the black. Most of her furniture is also in a black or nearly black wood. The floor and sheets on her bed offset the dark colors by being light violets, whites, and random pale designs. There is also a fuzzy rug spread out in front of her bed that a very simple glass coffee table sits upon. And a black fuzzy blanket is always folded at the end of her bed for those really cold nights.
Towards the front of the apartment, located just to the side of the entrance is a cute little kitchenette, which was also where the second window in the unit was located. It has an oven, a sink, some cabinet space as well as a fridge. Small by some standards but just right for a single woman living on her own that tends to travel a lot. Next to the kitchenette is a walk-in closet, a pleasant surprise Shaden discovered when purchasing the studio. Just across from this is the bathroom where Shaden lucked out and got a combo shower and bathtub! Compared to the darker colors though a majority of the apartment, her bathroom is a mixture of white and purple with the only black in the bathroom being the little rug in front of the tub.
