Quietly she walked along a path doused in shadows, eyes flickering up towards the crescent moon cackling down at them all. Poena Privus was quiet tonight. Not unusual at this hour. The night had just begun and Reaper's and Blackheart's alike were probably just starting to rouse into a much more active state. Or at least that's what she tended to do. The night held more secrets then daylight, after all.
Shaden sighed, ears twitching and listening for anything unusual. Or just something to freaking do. She was so boooored! The last few missions she'd been sent on had not revealed anything of interest or worth the time of a Reaper. Meaning they had mostly been false alarms or another Reaper took care of it.
She kicked a rock in her path, glancing around at the buildings around her. A pang of loneliness wriggled its way to the surface of her feelings again. There were not many she called 'friend' or cared to keep the company of. Athir, the sweet boy she had 'adopted' as her little brother, was the closest thing she really had to a close friend. Though, Shaden found herself wanting to meet up with Graveyard again and get to know the Ars Lilium more. But even including Graveyard, her friend's list was non-existent. Her own fault really.
"Ugh! I'm so bored! I need something fun to do." The Reaper growled - or moped - deciding to head back in the direction of her apartment. It wasn't like she had anything better to do.

Ashkii was prowling the ruins.
Prowling...the...ruinssssssssssss.
BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN STUPID BLACKHEART TRAINING that he had been dragged to by the lustrous and mysterious X.
Ever since they had been dismissed, he hadn't felt like going out and gambling his new paycheck away. Or buying women for the night...or drinking till he passed out. Or doing what he was suppose to do which was work.
No after he had been called back, he had taken it upon himself to start the first shift of Patrol.
When he heard the soft female voice though, his ears immediately perked before a grin set upon his features. Patrol and prowling had led him to...a purple haired mononoke? Well look at that. She wasn't like his Graveyard but she was still a beauty for sure. Bright blue eyes and a busom that begged for a little touch.
"Bored? Needing something to do?" He slunk out of the shadows. Unfortunately, he seemed creeperish and if it wasn't for the Blachheart insigna on his armor, he probably be punched in the face...or he might anyways. Grinning he looked down at her before cocking his head. "Want some company tonight babe?"

In a brilliant flash of light, much like the strike of lightning, Shaden had gripped the necklace she wore and summoned her scythe. The blade rested mere inches away from the man that emerged from the shadows. Her eyes narrowed, looking him over carefully before they caught sight of a familiar insignia. Ah hell. With a puff of breath, she backed down and let the scythe slowly dissipate from her fingers.
"A Blackheart, huh?" Her ears were flat, though they started to sit upright again. "Lucky me~" Again. At least she wasn't being an 'assistant' for one. "And you could say that, yes. I'm bored and looking for something to do."
Shaden crossed her arms, tail flicking as she considered if she wanted company or not. One part screamed 'ohgod hell yes so booooored!' while the other was stuck on 'creeeeper~'. But they were in Poena Privus. There were probably plenty of creepers around here.
"Can't say I wouldn't mind having some company." She paused, jabbing a finger somewhat lightly into his chest before he could move any closer. "But first...why not be a gent and tell the lady your name, hmmm?" A small mischievous glint flickered in her eyes. "Not supposed to hang around with strangers and all that, right?" Alright maybe it was because she was so effing bored that she was bypassing most of her wariness around someone knew and straight into teasing. Though to be fair, the Blackheart's she had met so far were not so bad. At least not yet.

Ash didn't even make a move as the scythe came hurtling towards his neck. Often...things came hurtling to his neck anyways.
"A reaper yeah?" He smiled at her, easing the scythe away slowly away. "Put the sugar away honey, I don't need it to come flying towards you kay?" He tapped the scythe before grinning, "Those are dangerous things to say to a lonely Blackheart Babe." He wrapped his hand around her waist and led her away.
"Name's Ashkii, yourself?" He looked at her again before nodding, "Not a stranger, we should hang. I'm bored and patrol sucks so much."

One delicate eyebrow rose slowly at the way he easily and carelessly (in her mind anyways) handled her scythe before she desummoned it. Once again a necklace hung low along her neck, ears flicking forward as she regarded this Blackheart. Charming, wasn't he? "I am indeed a Reaper." She said as if it wasn't obvious. Clearly, she really was bored if she was not only being nice and talkative, but adding snark and maybe some flirt in there?
Must be something in the night air. Obviously.
"Oh are they...?" Maybe it was the feline half of her that was feeling so relaxed and playful. Because it sure as hell was not her usual way of acting! At least not until she got to know someone better. Or maybe, I really am just lonely and it's getting to me. The Reaper Mononoke sighed to herself, attempting to shut that portion of her brain off. You know, the one that actually did the thinking? "And what...other sorts of things might be dangerous to say around your kind, hmmm?" She didn't even push him away when a hand went around her waist and they began walking.
"Ashkii, is it?" Shaden tapped her chin. "I think I'll call you Ash, if you don't mind." Her gaze flickered up as a wry grin split her lips. "Guess you are not a stranger anymore. I'm Shaden. And I am all for hanging out." She snorted and refrained from rolling her eyes. "Gawd, it really does suck, don't it?"

Ohohoho Ash smiled as he hit the hook line and sinker with this one. Sweet, it wasn't often that he had a babe that actually might just go along with him. And yes, ******** patrol was so lonely man, who wanted to do it? Not this kid.
Clearly and most obviously the best option was to take this reaper around the corner and stuff. Maybe take her...to that place.
"I don't mind anything babe. Call me what you like." He grinned, "Stranger? Are we really strangers here? I mean, Blackhearts and the Reapers? Brethern even if we don't know each other personally." He winked at her, "Lucky for you, I got the remedy for a boring night of patrol. For us to take a little break." Of course this bar was top secret and most often secluded in one of the rooms the leaders never thought to look.
He double checked the corridors before leading her in, smoke, and a low heavy music floated in the air as Ashkii waved to the bartender. A blackheart known for his deadly pistols and his even deadlier bar drinks.
"Hey Gage!" He saluted the man who glared before raising the bottle he had turned upside down for another reaper. Oddly enough, the place was filled with many of the reapers and Blackhearts. A table in the corner set up for gambling...dice and card games while some of the others got their war stories on. He even saw one of the few female blackhearts lip locked with a couple of the poor reapers saps who didn't know her better. Even she gave the witch eaters a run for the money with the hearts she stole and discarded.
"Welcome to the Club Peony." He grinned, offering her a seat at the bar, "Gage will make you up whatever you want babe. Cool thing...its all free of charge."
Gage slid up to them and gave Shaden a once over before looking back to Ash, "Free drinks yeah, though you still owe some of the Blackhearts a few gambling debts Ash." Gage rubbed his chin before grinning, "What's your poison good looking?"

It was strange yet slightly enjoyable having this Blackheart, someone she'd just met, lead her somewhere with his arm around her waist. How sad to not even be able to recall the last time she'd allowed someone close enough to do such a thing? Hell, she didn't even know when the last time she'd been with another was!
Of course there was Athir, the adorable witchling boy she had practically adopted as her younger brother. But that wasn't quite the same as what she missed at times. At least she could have company tonight!
"Well I'll extend the same to you. Call me whatever you want." She glanced up and gave a wry half smile. "Just not 'b***h'." Okay he could, but Shaden would make sure his Blackheart a** was on on the ground with some blood loss for it. Chill out, Deni. Have some fun while you have the chance! Right. What was he saying? Her ears twitched as a thoughtful look appeared briefly. "You have a point there. So does that mean I should trust you with everything I am?" The Reaper teased, surprised she was actually enjoying this 'game'. And seriously hoping any flirting that was done by herself was not lame.
"A break, huh? Can't say I disagree." Shaden let her gaze wander around as Ash led her...to wherever he had in mind. She recognized the area quite well, having patrolled it for so long. Though the room he took her too was not one she was familiar with personally. But Shaden had heard talk of it. Just never had a reason to seek it out.
Her ears flickered around as the low heavy music drifted to her, nose wrinkling at the smoke and scents of alcohol and human sweat. The smoke made her nose tingle for a minute before she sneezed softly. Her eyes were bright and curious as she looked around, letting Ash direct her to the bar.
A bar. Oh fu- ! Well, she had said she was bored. Hopefully she could still hold her drink fairly well. And that she still had all her clothing in the morning. Oh the things she did when drunk! The drink let her guard fall completely and the playful kitten she could be out.
Shaden grinned, taking the seat offered. "Club Peony. I've heard of it but never been here." She admitted, eying the one Ash called 'Gage' as the man did the same. "Mmm...I do like free things." She purred, tail swinging lazily from side to side. "Maybe I'll start off with just a Jack and Coke for now, please?" Or a few. Maybe. This was definitely heading in the direction of one interesting night. She gave her evenings companion a playful look. "And what shall you be drinkin'?"

Oh he really liked this one. Once seated and comfortable, he reached out to keep physical contact. A slight touch to her leg, a brush of knees and a coy smile sent her way. "That's good hear Shaden..." He looked her right in the eye, yellow to bright blue before shrugging. "b***h is the last word on my mind. Not a good term and I have a cousin who is Wolf Mononoke right? That was the name they use to call her as kids, I developed a healthy hate for it." He grinned before touching her arm. "Babe, if you wanted to trust everything to me on the first meeting, My room is not that far off and I can make sure your "trust" was put into capable and excellent hands." He gave her a smile that just oozedego.
"I'll take a Whiskey Traditional..." He looked over to Shaden now before grinning, "Since My lady tonight seems to be a whiskey drinker herself." He waited as Gage handed them their drinks before reaching out to play with her hair. He was a lot more touchy freely tonight and it was probably since...He finally had a lady companion that didn't seem to cringe at the thought of touching a Blackheart. It wasn't like...ladies turned him away...if he payed the right price.
He took a sip of the drink, letting the citrus burn settle in his throat. "A Whiskey Traditional babe, is a couple cubes of sugar, citrus rind and a healthy double shot of whiskey to top it off...." He stirred it before looking back up to her, "Tell me about yourself Kitten, How come I haven't met you before? I tend to find all the pretty ladies first in this joint and as soon as possible." and while she did that, he just scoot a little closer and see how close he could go into invading her personal space.

There may have been a small flinch when she felt the touch against her leg and the brushing of knees. The only belaying sign of how long it might have been since she allowed anyone to get that close. Her tail flicked almost nervously yet Shaden returned Ash's smile with a charming one of her own. She kind of liked his company, if she was to be honest. Even if he was a little overly flirtatious. But clearly she was falling for it. Or really just wanted one night to enjoy and remember.
A wolf Mononoke? Now that caught her attention. It was probably only coincidental that they both knew one. But Shaden hadn't met any other wolves aside from Graveyard. "Good for you, then. It's not a kind word to call any lady." She paused. "I happen to know a wolf Mononoke as well. And I'd sink my claws into anyone that called her such a name." The truth. Which was followed by a flush to her cheeks and warmth where his hand was suddenly resting against her arm. She managed to laugh and playfully bat at him, much like a feline might at an interesting toy. "I shall keep that in mind and let you know if I'm giving you all my trust." She purred.
She smiled towards Gage, accepting her own drink. Instead of taking a sip right away, she pushed a piece of ice around with her nail, head tilted slightly as she gazed over at Ash. He was playing with her hair and the snow leopard in her just wanted to curl up in a ball and purr in content. Never once did the fact he was a Blackheart unsettle her or make her feel disgusted. Maybe because she could one day become like them if she pushed herself. Lips twitching, she raised her glass in salute and acknowledgement. Then took a sip of the liquid, letting its pleasant burn race down her throat and settle warmly in her stomach. It definitely had been a while since she'd enjoyed a good drink.
"Sounds like you're just the right type for me tonight, then." Shaden said absently, taking another sip and setting her drink down. "Hmm...tell you about me? Well you've probably never met me before as I tended to avoid Blackhearts for a while. But lately I just haven't cared about petty differences or 'superior' egos." She shrugged. "Guess you could say I try to stay below the radar as far as Reaper's go." Another pause as she watched him. "I'm also kind of a loner." She admitted, deciding to stop there and take a generous hit off her drink, coughing just a little afterwards and shaking her head like a wet canine.
"What about you, darlin'? Tell me a little about the life of a Blackheart such as yourself~ "
