The party was only a week or so away, and now that Cedar thought about it... She needed to find something to gift her friends. She was so grateful for having them in her life. Turning to lock the door to the shop, Cedar pocketed her key, and bundled up with her cloak has it had gotten very cold at night. Making her way toward the shopping district, Cedar was trying to figure out what she could get them... She only knew Kalypso so well... Maybe the girl would like something sweet? Or maybe... Some decorative eye patches...? She shook her head a bit.. Xerxes all she could think of was getting him some another set of bells. And Lea should have been easy since she spent so much time with him now. She pursed her lips together and made a small groaning sound as she considered her options.

At the rate she was starting to appear around Makai now, she would soon be considered a common sight. Whether that was a good thing or a bad, she didn't know nor did she actually care. The only thing she did care about that involved Makai was a certain adorable and sweet boy. Who she planned on visiting. But first, she had to find something. Something special that said boy would enjoy.
A gift. It was that time of year, after all. And for the first time in a while, she had someone to get something for!
But as to what? Well, Shaden was trying to work that one out. And while she was at it, maybe grabbing a few art supplies for herself would be in order. Last she had checked (which had been a week ago), her sketching supplies were getting low.
But what do I get Athir?
Frowning slightly, the Reaper pondered this as she walked around, eyes flickering towards people that passed as well as the small shops around her. What did he like....books! Duh, Deni! Shaden did the mental equivalent of a facepalm. Books! He loved to read. And she knew just what sort of books to get him too. Her ears perked forward now that she had figured out what to get Athir! Now she just needed to find a good store...
Stopping suddenly, heedless of other people walking (or any glares sent her way), Shaden looked around slowly. Was there a bookstore here? She couldn't remember if there was. Art store...of sorts, yes. But bookstore? Really, it had been a while since she last visited Makai town and shopped here. Most of the time, she shopped in Moonfall when she passed through.
Not seeing anything from where she was, Shaden turned to the crowd and asked the first person she saw. A girl with light brown hair and olive eyes.
"Excuse me! Begging your pardon but, do you by chance know if there is a bookstore here?"

Cedar had been out shopping all day for her friends. She wanted to make sure they all felt special. She got a couple different eye patches for Kalypso, and some special butterfly clips for Myra. Xerxes she found some pretty bells for, and some ribbon to go with them. But now was Lea...
This was a whole issue in itself. Over time Lea has become a staple in her life. He just swooped in out of no where, and has been there ever since. She was fond of him, and more fond of him then she even realized. And finding him something was ... More difficult then she could have imagined.
She was watching the ground as she walked, trying to think of something. Her hands carrying the other bags when she walked right into someone. She stumbled back a couple steps in complete surprise and then panic when she saw that it was a reaper.
"I-i am SO sorry." She waved her hands as she apologized.

She'd been doing fairly well at weaving through the crowd and not running into anyone. But the Reaper was getting slightly desperate for a little help. Even just a simple rude gesture towards a bookshop would have been enough! Though she would have made sure the person went scampering away rethinking the gesture. Her ears were lowering by the second in her failure to find someone that could assist her.
Which is probably partially how the collision with another person occurred. Shaden stumbled back, eyes wide and ears perked forward. Awe, crap! She hoped she hadn't hurt the girl!
"No, no. I am so sorry!" Shaden apologized and quickly looked the girl over. She seemed to be alright. "Are you alright? I really am terribly sorry. Wasn't paying much attention."
The Reaper smiled, and realized this was her chance to possibly get some help! "Err, do you by chance know if there is a book shop nearby?" She had a sheepish expression as she asked. "I was trying to find one, but I am afraid to admit I don't know this area as well as I used to." Which was slightly embarrassing since she was a Reaper.

Cedar laughed some. " Yes I'm fine! I hope you're okay too, I was in my own world." She smiled some, the other girl seemed to be okay. But she was a reaper. She wondered if there were be consequences for her mistake... Cedar almost waited for it, but then she asked about a book store.
"A-a bookstore?" With a slight blank look Cedar had been taken of guard. "Ah... y-yeah.. Yes!" She recovered. She didn't think any strange of her not knowing the area well. It was hard to know everything about everywhere unless you were a regular.
"It's over that way." She pointed to her right. "I can take you, it can get a little confusing with my directions." Cedar wasn't known for her directions, and it was very busy in the streets these days. Maybe she could make up for her collision with this.

A small sigh escaped as the witch laughed. Alright, if she was able to laugh she had to be alright. Right? Shaden's gaze quickly looked over the other as she assured her she was okay. There didn't seem to be any scrapped knees of bruised foreheads.
Good thing I didn't have my scythe out. She thought warily.
"I'm glad I didn't hurt you or anything." Shaden said with a smile, ears relaxing and not quite so upright. "You and me both, then. I was a little zoned out myself."
Her tail swished a little as she watched the witch. Oh crap what if there wasn't a bookstore here?! But there had to be! This was the Academy area. Shaden would be utterly shocked if there wasn't at least one. "Yes. A bookstore." A wave of relief raced through her when she said yes. The Reaper blew out a breath and gave her a real smile. "Oh fantastic!"
Following the direction she pointed, Shaden narrowed her eyes and focused, trying to find the store. She didn't see it and internally groaned. More hunting to undergo! Except, this witch was offering to take her there. Blinking, the Reaper eyed her, considering the offer.
"That...would be very much appreciated." She said hesitantly. Really, she wasn't used to being around people very much. Athir was an exception. "But only if it's not too much of a bother!" She added.

Cedar adjusted her bags and gave a shake of her head. "It's not a problem, I actually probably needed to stop by there anyways." She gave the other girl a grin, and nodded for her to follow.
"Everything has been crazy this year. The holidays are always busy, but maybe because this is my first time in a town like this it seems busier." Cedar commented for some light conversation. Dodging through the crowds Cedar lead the other female to the book store. And once they got there Cedar held the door open for her.
The heat billowed out and Cedar couldn't wait to get into the warmth of the store. Maybe should find some cook books. She would need some festive food plans for the holiday party.
