Rules/Information
- Prompts will come once per day, with four prompts in total.
- Choose and play with only one of your own Kimeti. Gender doesn't matter, since we're not going for breedings here, but to win the buck himself.
- Since you're playing your own 'meti, proxies will not be permitted.
- If you don't have an adult Kimeti, you may fabricate one for the purpose of this contest.
- Your goal is to get the best ending possible. But is the best ending love or rejection?
- If you answer in roleplay format, you may be awarded an extra point.

Prompt One
It was a positively lovely day in the swamp. The breeze that snaked its way through the trees had a delectable smell to it, and a perfectly comfortable temperature. Not too hot or cold, it was as though it was blessed by the swamp itself.

Perhaps, in a way, it was. The much loved Festival would soon close, and after all, why would anyone wish for an unpleasant end to such a happy time? Well, perhaps the idea of happiness varies from being to being. For on this day of joy, there was in the crowd, a buck. A young male, only recently crowned with adulthood. He was loud, boisterous, and more than a bit of a show-off. With a small petal on his nose, he wobbled around with little care, making a scene of how perfectly he could balance it, even when he made the venture of balancing on little but his hind legs. Perhaps he was trying to impress someone, to catch himself a mate. It wouldn't be a shock, given how frequently new sacs tended to show up during the festival.

But what Kimeti in their right mind would find such an annoyance attractive? A few does (and perhaps even a buck here and there) in the mostly-disgusted circle seemed enthralled by his antics. Would they dare approach him?

How will your Kimeti approach this buck?
1. The shy, quiet method. Try to discreetly catch his eye?
2. The faux-hate method. Hah! What a stupid boy! But I like him...
3. The equally noisy method. Just jump on in and play too!
4. The blunt method. Hey, hi, hello, how are you? I like you!

Opalescence watched his antics with quiet curiosity, making her way forward in the crowd without speaking. She was careful as she threaded through the others until she was at the inner edge of the circle that had formed around him, leaving him just enough room to wobble about but little more. In that position, perhaps her pale eyes could connect with his dark ones in some way that would keep her lingering in his thoughts for at least a moment past the game...

Solstice had decided to join the festivities that she had heard was still going on in the swamp. She was never one for gatherings.. But what the heck. It's not that she is loner, it's just that large groups of kimetis in one area makes her feel... awkward.

The blue doe had gotten lost in the midst of the large crowd."Grr.. where do I go..?" she mumbled, utterly frustrated. She was about to turn back and leave, if she could find which way she had come from but she saw something at the corner of her eye. Her eyes fluttered at the sight of a very handsome buck. The doe was left immobile as she watching him curious eyes. What is he doing? she wondered. Feeling the need to get closer, Solstice threaded through the crowd circling the buck slowly to get a closer look, at the very front of the circle. She watched him intently through her thick silver bangs. Tilting her head to the side slightly, her bangs moving just enough to show her blue eyes. Too shy to even approach the buck. Solstice watched him amusement. Waiting for the buck to approach her, hoping she would even catch his eye in this huge crowd.

The doe weaved her way around the crowd, frowning slightly as shoulders bumped and hooves were stepped on. She much preferred a... less crowded area, but it couldn't be helped. The festival of abundance was a joyous celebration of the welcoming of spring, and new beginnings. It was also the time certain does and bucks seemed to be bitten by the love bug.

She turned her head as she heard a doe giggle, blushing at the wildflower offered to her by a grinning buck, and rolled her eyes as she saw a young buck, weaving long tales that seemed to capture the attention of several other does. She herself was not one to fall for... such trivial displays of affection. But as she finally managed to find a small clearing away from the crowd, it seemed to have been occupied by some young raucous buck, prancing around on his hind legs while balancing a petal on his nose.

Ivy smirked. Just who did he think he was trying to impress? But she had to admit, he did catch her attention... She slowly walked up to him, gleam in her eye, as she tried to see if she could catch him off guard.

"Do you really think you'll impress someone with such a petty feat?" she laughed.

Last-Breath-Laughing has, until now, been enjoying some of the more boisterous events this Festival season. Her spirits are high, and the jaunt in her step is light and confident, her bright blue eyes reflecting the smirk that rests at the edges of her mouth. She casts her glance this way and that as she looks for something new to do. A few kimeti are playing a game nearby in which a doe and buck bob for fruit at the same time. If they accidentally [or, in some cases, hopefully] grab the same fruit, they are supposed to touch noses in front of everyone. It's an amusing game, but none of the bucks in that circle catch her eye. Rather, beyond them, she spots a cream and black buck doing a rather bizarre looking trick, indeed! Who would have ever thought of such a thing, really. He looks completely ridiculous. And yet...

And yet, the doe finds herself heading in that direction as she pushes her petite self to the front of the throng. There aren't many kimeti watching, she notes, but enough to make something of a small crowd. But Faux [[ooc: her nickname]], has never been the kind of girl to bat her lashes shyly from the sidelines. And this buck, she decides, must be far from shy to put on such a strange show.

"Don't you know how silly you look?" She calls out, and steps forward, that lilting smirk widening on her lips, flashing in her eyes. "Silly buck, why do you dance on your hind legs like a foal reaching for sweet fruit just out of his reach? Even silly foals know they have to do more than do a silly dance to reach it. Silly buck. Ha!" She laughs, but despite the mocking sharpness in her tone, there is a hint of something... something in those eyes, in that smile, even the derisive flick of her tail. Silly buck, her sharp, confident tone, even in the silence seems to continue to sound.

Hoof in Mouth stood in the crowd watching the buck balance on his hind legs with a petal on his nose. My she thought to herself he IS rather handsome. She looked around at the other does and bucks, some seemed interested and others not so much. Never being the overly shy type Hoof in Mouth waltzed right up to him in the middle of everything and gave a slight nudge at him with her head. "Hey you! You are pretty good at that. I like that about you, you don't seem to be afraid of making a scene. You aren't hard to look at either." Then she stood there looking him square on waiting to see/hear his response.

2. The faux-hate method.

Eclipse had been slow about joining in the festival activities. It still stung to think that he would leave them each night just as alone as he'd joined them; there would be no new clutches to sigh over, no one to write poetry for. He'd stayed away for as long as he could, and it'd been a fairly valiant effort. News tended to spread like wildfire in the swamp; what few friends Eclipse had had started to bend his ear about the interesting news and goings-on of the festival until he felt cocerced into joining. Why -- Eclipse sulked enough, they said! Why wouldn't he rouse himself out of his habitual sadness and join in? There could be a lovely new someone in his future! They'd pushed and suggested and coddled until he'd finally relented.

Eclipse found himself on the edge of the circle, watching the buck's antics with grudging interest. While the buck was certainly the center of attention (and he didn't seem to mind, either), he was pretty. Even though, to Eclipse, he looked like an utter fool -- a foal having found a new game he'd forget about two seconds later. A flower. Honestly. This was a child's game! The black buck snorted and shook his head, his black hair falling about his eyes.

"Hmp." It was a singular syllable, but Eclipse was a poet; it summed up everything he felt quite neatly ... including his interest.

Daisy Chain picked his way through the crowd of kimeti with an expression of child-like wonder. One would say the buck never really grew up. Yet here he was in all his adulthood, and without his caring mother by his side this time! For once, she let him go to the Festival on his own. And for once he wanted to be independent of her.

A commotion made his ears p***k as he turned just in time to see a -rather- handsome buck not only poised upon his hind legs, but with a dainty petal resting on the tip of his nose. It did not fall, nor float away with the wind.

With a goofy grin forming on Bud's face, he found himself drawn to the buck, legs moving one after another without a thought towards him. And despite the small crowd forming around the buck, making their own conversations, the foal-at-heart pushed his way in until he stood face-to-face with the buck, despite being slightly shorter.

"That. Was. Awesome." he said, his eyes glittering, "Can I try next? I wanna see if -I- can do something like that!!" he continued, bouncing playfully from foot to foot. If it weren't for his build, one would have mistaken him to still be an immature colt. His tail swished energetically as he eagerly awaited a response.

Bone Toss stood on the outskirts, watching the young buck. At first he didn't think anything about him, until he rolled the owlcat bones. They told him to join. He looked back up, "What can I do?" He enjoyed staying in the back, being hidden from the rest, but he had to join in somehow.

A nervous glace about at the others, Bone grabbed the songbird that was sitting on his rump. A peek on his nose made him run out and kick up his back legs. He was to the side of the show off buck, just barely missing him with his hoofs in the air.

"Not bad!" Hush-Leaves says loudly. She steps into the circle, pushing something along with her front hoof. It looks like an average-sized rock. "But how about you try something a little harder?"
The doe manages to slide it onto her nose, and with a fair amount of wobbling, leans toward him. It looks like she wants him to take the rock?

Maybe it was something in the air-- the delightful weather, that curiously sweet smell weaving through the trees... It was something.

Sinkhole found herself at the back of a gathering crowd. The Kimeti around her seemed baffled and all most disgusted; this was definitely worth checking out. The doe craned her neck high, chin raised, and started to stomp her way through the group. These Kimeti would not get in her way to see whatever it was that was so exciting. After claiming her very own spot at the front of the group, Sinkhole watched on. It was just a young buck; what was the big deal?

The young buck was quite the handsome fellow, though. His creamy fur contrasted by a thick mane of black hair going down his spine was absolutely alluring. His display, his show, only added to this ever-growing appeal. Sinkhole looked him over, up and down, repeatedly. He was something. Despite acting like a fool, she saw grace within him. Balancing that petal so delicately, and raising up on his hind legs, she could only see a dance. A dance to lure someone in and that someone happened to be her. She needed to make a move.

"You, young buck, are thrilling," she said through her teeth with a grin. Sinkhole continued examining the buck as she spoke. "You are obviously trying to entice someone." The doe licked her her lips as if he were some delicious treat. "And you have enticed me." She waved her head back and forth quickly as if to show off herself. If that didn't grab his attention, she was not sure what would.

Laughing Shadows had enjoyed the festival, even if she hadn't yet found a buck to spend it with, and was sad to see it getting ready to come to a close. The young doe had decided to go for a stroll to see if she could find any last minute games being held to meet some new kimeti and hopefully a dashing buck to spend some time with when she discovered the large crowd that had begun to gather. Being a curious, if often distrusting doe, the dark kimeti quickly wound her way toward them, carefully nosing past some of the larger and older kimeti to see what was going on.

A slow grin broke out across her face as she watched the antics of some of the kimeti in the middle. It seemed mostly bucks were playing a game - a balancing one, at that - though she couldn't quite tell who had started it first. She really couldn't help herself as her eyes drank in the sight of each one. The brightly colored one was cute with his youthful exuberance, though she didn't know how old he really was. Another seemed scared about joining but was trying it out anyway, a third was a young doe who seemed to want the one in the very center to balance a rock on his nose and the fourth was a particularly dashing young male with hair and ridges on his nose that made her giggle just a little.

With a short nod of her head, she slipped forward, angling towards the playing bucks, but especially the one with the ridge along his nose. She noted the one with the rock on her nose and grinned as she came along side the pair. Carefully, the oft clumsy doe stood up on her hind legs and tilted her nose forward, clearly aiming it so the petal could be passed off to her if the buck was so inclined, but also not necessarily refusing the rock if that happened to be offered to her first. The game seemed fun, and she giggled a little shyly at the buck as she wobbled on her hind legs and bashfully flicked her eyes to the ground, "Pass the petal here, I'd like to try!"

She nudged her nose forward just a little closer so he could pass it off to her if he wanted, hovering near him with a gleeful intent of wanting to play and a subtle gleam of interest in just him in her eyes. She wanted to play the balancing game, for sure, but she also wanted to get to know the buck before her a little better as well...

The gleam in her eyes quickly turned to one of her surprise though as her wobbly hind legs finally gave in and she fell less than gracefully to all fours. With a shy laugh she glanced back up at the buck and the other doe, "Maybe I'll try just balancing it on my nose while I'm standing normally.."

Path found the festival boring. Most of the bucks weren't all that attractive, or paired off already, or not that interesting to her.

That's when she saw him. A peculiar buck caught her eyes. Was he trying to show off? Huh. A small circle had formed about him already, other bucks and does had been caught too. Path made her way to watch as well. She was interested that was for sure. Though he'd have to work for it if he was to think about looking at her.

Path scoffed. "That it? Could do that with my eyes closed." She turned to leave but decided to watch from behind another doe. Okay, she did want to watch...

Prompt 2:

Whatever the 'meti did to catch his eye, it worked. He stomped his front hooves with a juvenile eagerness before trotting over to his possible catch. "Hey there gorgeous," he said with a smirk and a single raised eyebrow. The petal was still perfectly perched on his nose, and showed no signs of falling. He most certainly seemed aware of this fact, as he continued his off-balance antics even while speaking. "You're a pretty little thing. So... Ya' like what ya' see?" He was obviously doing his best to lay on the charm, but would it work?

Well? Will it?
1. The quiet method. Maybe, but you're just too shy to say it out loud. Perhaps he'll understand with this small offering...
2. The faux-hate method. Um. No? Certainly not. But maybe you'll play along. Here, give him something, see how he reacts.
3. The noisy method. Imitate him. Try to best him.
4. The blunt method. Yup! Here, take this, I like you, hi!
