3. The noisy method. Imitate him. Try to best him.Eclipse smiles at the buck -- a thin, grudging sort of expression -- and then noses gently forward. The buck should certainly like what he sees; Eclipse is a handsome buck, and knows it. After a moment, he stoops to retrieve a blossom of his own from the earth near his feet, one luckily not trampled down and bruised, and manages (with some finagling) to balance it on his own nose. It's not easy, but he manages. Bright violet eyes lock back onto the dancing buck. "Of course." One side of his mouth curls up. "You have ... admirable talent." It might be a compliment; it's delivered so mildly, so off-handedly, that it's hard to tell. It could also be a jibe.

Response for Prompt Two
Well? Will it? 1. The quiet method. Maybe, but you're just too shy to say it out loud. Perhaps he'll understand with this small offering...
Opal froze for a moment, staring at him with wide, surprised eyes before ducking her head. There were giant moths in her stomach, millions of them fluttering about as she tried desperately to figure out just what to say in return. Her eyes searched the swamp floor, alighting on a small, smooth-sided rock that glittered a bit in the light there was. That was the answer! She leaned down, scooping it up between her teeth delicately, and carried it forward a few steps. She started to place it on the ground, then thought better of that. He certainly couldn't see the stone without losing the petal, and he was obviously proud of his ability to balance it. Twisting a bit to present her flank to him, and craning her neck around, she laid the stone on her back, then looked at him. "..For you," she murmured, her eyes flittering away shyly.

Well? Will it? 4. The blunt method. Yup! Here, take this, I like you, hi!
Still look at him square on Hoof in Mouth started to "show herself off" for him, twitching her tail enticingly and moving her body around to show off her best attributes.Of course I like what I see. I said that already didn't I?she asked him. You seem like you enjoy a good time, so do I. Question is do you think you can handle me? Hoof challenged the buck wanting to see his reaction. Was he really as flamboyant as he was trying to be or was it all a show to attract her attention.

Prompt 2 Response: 2) The faux-hate method. Um. No? Certainly not. But maybe you'll play along. Here, give him something, see how he reacts.
Solstice blinked at the buck. She never thought he would actually notice her in this crowd. Taken aback by his words, she became unsure of how to react to his bluntness.. But.. Solstice scoffed. "Huh.. Me..? Thank you, but what makes you think that I like.. you? I just came here to see what all the huff was about." She turned her head to the side; eyes closed, chin up. As if to prove a point. But inside she wanted him to know she liked her. She took a peek at the buck and then back to her original pose, trying to hold back a grin this time. What do you have to say for me now, hmm? she thought.

As the other buck spoke, Daisy Chain's tail stopped swishing for just a moment, then flicked back and forth with even more vigor. With burning cheeks, he giggled sheepishly at the compliments. His eyes focused on the balanced petal before wandering to meet the buck's eyes.
"Now I w-wouldn't say that" he chuckled, pawing the ground, "But you're -reaallllyyy- good looking!" he added, rearing his head back to emphasize the magnitude of the other buck's beauty.
Bud felt obliged to add more to that. He wanted to give the buck something like a token of friendship, and didn't really expect more than that. But looking around him, he couldn't find anything suitable. Sighing with a little pout, he thought for a moment and decided this would have to do.
Leaning in, the shorter buck licked the cheek of the other one and stood back grinning, hoping his gift would suffice.

1. The quiet method. Maybe, but you're just too shy to say it out loud. Perhaps he'll understand with this small offering...
The silly way the buck stamped his feet and trotted amused the young doe. She was awestruck that the petal continued to stay so well balanced on his nose and glanced down at her own clumsy hooves as she carefully picked them up to glower at them for betraying her just a short time ago. It was a great surprise to her when she glanced back up and caught sight of the dashing fellow standing just before her, a smirk on his own bemused looking face.
Laughing Shadows wasn’t quite able to help herself as she smiled shyly and bobbed her head in greeting. A smirk soon took place on her lips as she tilted her head slightly at him, he seemed quite aware that he was good looking and that all the does and several bucks were very interested in him. And so while he pranced about she stepped lightly forward and shrugged her shoulders, “Perhaps I do.” Her dark head tilted slightly again as the smirk turned up into a full, alluring smile and she carefully brought her nose near to his to lightly blow on the petal so that the wind would carry it off.
The task was slightly more difficult than she had anticipated and certainly lead to some amusing postures as she tried to keep up with him so that she could blow it off of his nose, but when she finally succeeded she smiled to herself and ducked her head under his neck to catch the petal on her own nose. Laughing Shadows lightly brushed her head against his neck as if it were but an accident as she pulled back slowly so the petal would not fall before standing up and proudly puffing out her chest, “Now its my turn to try this game!”
Not usually one for balancing hijinks, the young doe moved with great care as she stood up on her hind legs attempting a move she had watched him perform only moments before. The petal scooted back and forth across her muzzle each time she wavered in the pose, but she soon managed to stand upright and still with the petal balanced perfectly atop her nose. A smile of sheer glee appeared on her face and she loudly proclaimed, “I did it! I balanced the petal on my nose!”
Excited from her success, she began to move a little more quickly and danced about on her hooves around the young buck, her eyes never leaving his form except to check the petal and its placement with a cross-eyed glance now and again. The game was more fun than she had thought, and she hoped he might play with her too. It was her quiet way of saying, "I like you" and flirt without seeming too forward and daring. Hopefully it would work, she did rather like the sight of him...

Ivy blinked, slightly taken aback. She should of known this buck would have been the blunt and brash type, yet his reply still caught her off guard. She felt a slight blush creeping over her face, and quickly shook her head to clear her mind. She would not let this buck get the better of her. Still watching him, her tail flickered as a smirk crept over her face.
"Oh? Do you really think I'd be impressed by...this?" she motioned, nodding her head at the petal still perched on his nose. "Silly buck. If you wish to captivate me... you'll have to step up your game. Think you can do that?"

2. The faux-hate method. Um. No? Certainly not. But maybe you'll play along. Here, give him something, see how he reacts. Last-Breath-Laughing starts a little, pausing at his sudden and rather.. forward response. However, she quickly regains her composure and offers him a soft "Hmph," in response.
Taking her time, she moves to circle him, her bright blue eyes flicking up and down his frame critically, as if to judge his worth. As she does so, the smirk slowly creeps back into her features, making her look mischievous once more, maybe (if he looks close enough) even a little flirtatious behind the sarcasm.
"Perhaps you should try balancing two flowers, silly buck. That might be a more admirable feat. Provided you can accomplish it. A buck as clumsy and silly as you... I'm not sure." She laughs a little, and turns, showing the delicate line of her back and neck. "Impress me, silly buck, and perhaps I won't think you to be so silly." She bends and picks up a flower to offer him, the challenge in her eyes daring him to take it.

Leaves-Hush winks at him, even as she tries to maintain the balance of the rock on her nose. "I think I might..." she teases, not so much flirting as good-naturedly, "But keep your eyes on your goal, petal-charmer, or your toy might float away."

Path grinned quickly before she looked to the buck. She looked away again as thought she hadn't heard him at all.
"Oh? I thought you were talking to yourself. You are quite more lovely than I." She batted her eyes as best she could. Path hoped to trip him up. "Like? Not sure I could call it that but I am very, very interested."

Prompt 3: "Hah!" the buck laughed. He seemed impressed. Whatever the kimeti before him did, he liked it, and he liked it a lot. "Come on, come on," he said, dancing backwards and pushing out of the thinning crowd. "Let's go play over here. I'll show you a trick, yeah?" There was a shine in his eyes, it was obvious he was quite taken with his conversation partner. As soon as he was clear of the small gathering of curious eyes, he hopped, backwards yet again, onto a thick root, and did a wobbly backflip off of it. It was obvious to most that the move was hasty and in no way thought out, but his arrogance wouldn't let him admit it. He played off his shaky landing by continuing his facade of being unable to balance on his own four feet. And strangely enough, the petal still hadn't budged...
What did you think of that, eh? 1. The shy, quiet method. Oh, haha, that was nifty... How'd you do that... with the petal? 2. The faux-hate method. Wow that was dumb. And hey, why hasn't that petal moved at all, huhhhhh? 3. The noisy method. Okay, now you try! 4. The blunt method. Oh man that was cool. I reeeaaaally like you.

Prompt Three Response: 2) The noisy method. Okay, now you try!
Solstice continued to ignore him for a second. Her ears flicked, she heard him say something about playing and once she had turned to where he previously was; he was gone. She turned to look behind her and saw him making his way through the outside of the circle and followed him.
She was going to continue her facade but had forgotten all about it as she watched the buck do another trick. Her eyes twinkled as she watched the cream colored buck do a very impressive backflip. "My my.. I gotta admit, that was very cool." Her eyes quickly moved to the petal that was still balanced perfectly on the bucks nose. "Wow! How did you do that?" Solstice grinned and trotted off to his side. She tried to do something similar but stumbled and fell before she could even jump. Her cheeks flushed and quickly got up to regain her composure and nudged the buck with her cheek gently. "So.. W-Will you teach me?"

Response for Prompt 3

Away from the crowd, Opal wanted to relax, but she couldn't quite match the blunt buck before her. Instead, she smiled, moving to his side. "You must be very skilled to keep the petal from moving even after all that," she suggested. Blinking, a thought flickered through the back of her mind, but she ignored it. This buck seemed to like her, after all... right?

Path scoffed again. Sure it was kind of impressive but in no way very alluring at all. He was pretty but this arrogance was something else.
"Wow.... that was one of the most least impressive things I've ever seen." Would have been better had it been thought through.
But, well. She was intrigued as to why that petal never moved, especially when he flipped over. "But. How you doing that with the petal?"

Hoof watched the buck as he did his act over the root and noticed that the petal still had not moved. That was sweet! You are really good at balancing things, especially that petal. She said as she bounced around him and then got right back in his face. I REALLY like you, you are just awesome!! You have beautiful colors, excellent balance and you aren't afraid to put yourself out there and be goofy in front of everyone! As she said this she tried to get just a little closer to the buck, she really wanted to examine that petal...was it really a petal????
