Overwhelmed by the number of tribes and test tribes we have? Wanting to easily find out some information about the tribes to see which one would best fit your fox? Then you're in the right place!
I'll be keeping a list of all the established tribes, as well as active test tribes.
Tribe and test tribe owners: Want the information about your tribe to read a little differently (even if most of it I'm quoting directly from tribes)? No problem! Just fill out the form I'm going to be using and PM it to me! Just ignore the centering format, as I'll be taking care of all banners free of charge. ;D

Tribe Location: Lunarie is a large tribe, located primarily in the forest. The north and west borders are a range of mountains, the east border is a plain, and the south border one of two rivers. A lake is located in the middle of the Lunarie territory, from which another river begins.
Patron Modeity: Selene, Modeity of the Moon
Beliefs: Lunarie are part nocturnal, and part diurnal, since most of them get up around the middle of the day, and go to sleep in the middle of the night, because, to the Lunarie, the night is the most important time, for the important parts of life, such as marriages, naming ceremonies, funerals, hunting for scarifies, making sacrifices, and so forth, so such things can be done under the watch of the moon. However, some believe that all of life, apart from events such as those, is trivial, and are mainly diurnal, while others believe all of life is important, and are mainly nocturnal.
They worship the moon because it is cold, calm, and distant like the tribe, and rarely interferes with the lives of tribe members, but they still pray to the moon and make sacrifices to stay in favor.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is nocturnal, calm-natured and somewhat aloof.

Tribe Location: The Oasis is comprised of a relatively large underground spring-fed lake with grass and trees all around it, in varying sizes, but the shape is always relatively circular. Surrounding The Oasis is the desert, which varies from sandy to dry to both, which spreads out seemingly forever in all directions
Patron Modeity: Solarus, Modeity of the Sun, and Miraja, Modeity of the Oasis
Beliefs: Sunrise is considered the most holy of times, and are usually reserved for praying to the Sun Deity, or very special ceremonies, while sunset is a time for quiet reflection on the day or more grave, 'political' matters. The sun is a symbol of power and brightness, of course, so the most dreaded and worst day for the Solarie tribe would be a day or days that involve a solar eclipse--when the sun is eclipsed by the moon. Some even say that if this happens more than once in any fox's lifetime and that fox witnesses it, that fox is destined to have an unlucky life.
As a general rule, foxes sleep and live their lives within the oasis that contains the Tribe, but it is not unusual at all for foxes to venture outside of the border and explore the scorching desert. Because the foxes of Solarie worship both the Sun God and the Oasis Goddess (Solarus and Miraja, respectively), it is believed The Oasis has a blessing to keep the foxes there safe, while the Sun God has cast protection upon the Tribe so they do not suffer nor die from the intense heat of the desert.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is diurnal, easy-going but mature and willing to work, capable of adjusting to intense desert heat.

Tribe Location: Kousetsu lives in territory that is forever snowbound. Even in summer, through their Modeity's magic, their snow does not melt. A large open clearing with a mysteriously unfrozen lake dominates the center of the tribe, with a river from the northern mountains flowing into it. The north border is a mountain range, with the caves the tribe sleeps in and stores food in.
Blizzards and avalanches are common in this winter-locked tribe.
Patron Modeity: Shiya, Modeity of Winter
Beliefs: Kousetsu is run on a loose set of beliefs. Winter is the sacred season of the year, and is heralded in by one last celebration before all the food is taken to the storage caves. The tribe beleives Shiya has granted them special protection to live in this harsh landscape, and give thanks by the unfrozen lake (where Shiya is believed to watch over his tribe). Kousetsu is a playful tribe (who wouldn't want to romp around in snow drifts), but does not handle irresponsibility. It is a team effort to get everything prepared for the brutal winter months.
The tribe's time in the caves is an especially important time for celebration, both to give tribute to Shiya and to prevent cabin fever. Unions may happen at this time, as well as random parties for no specific reason.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is able to adjust to a harsh landscape, is laidback (all personalities besides violent accepted), and willing to work in a team.

The only planned stop on their travels is at their homeland, which they return to only once per year for the annual celebrations of Death and Life, around the time when winter turns into spring. The Gypsies have a small plot of land they call home at the base of a mountain next to a river.

As wanderers, the clan is full of very physically fit modifoxes, with great deals of endurance, and they're also very productive, as laziness is frowned upon, because not only does it negatively affect the lazy modifox, it can affect the entire clan.

Tribe Location: The Bateau foxes live on an archipelago called the Shipwreck Islands in tropical, crystal clear water. Many of the islands are bordered by sandy beaches, and the interior of the islands are tropical, jungle-like forests. The weather is consistently mild, and rain is rare. A fresh-water river makes its one into one of the islands. All islands are accessible only by swimming. On the main island is the Shipwreck, the tribe's altar to their Modeity.
Patron Modeity: Thalassa, Modeity of the Oceans and Seas
Beliefs: To Bateau foxes, the ocean is the force behind all life, and their shipwreck is a representation of what the oceans stand for: Freedom, The Unknown, and Insignificance.
Freedom: Freedom is seen as being out on the ocean. It is recognized that almost no fox will ever be able to set sail, but Bateau foxes keep to this hope to boost their reason for living.
The Unknown: On top of being Freedom, the open ocean also represents what these foxes do not know. Little beyond the Shipwreck Islands and a few neighboring areas is familiar to the foxes, and so the ocean is highly revered for its power over fate- it shapes the lives of these foxes and affects the area around them.
Insignificance: The most important of the three key beliefs. It is in this view that Bateau foxes recognize how little they are in comparison to the expanse of ocean around them. The waters dominate, and no fox can hope to control the world. Arrogance is looked upon with great dislike.
Ideal For a Fox Who: likes tropical weather, can swim, is upbeat, or is depressed/hurt, etc. and looking for a supportive tribe.

The Clan lives in and around Hometree. The inside of the tree travels upwards in spirals, with natural pockets and platforms for sleeping. There's room for hundreds of foxes, but there's also plenty of personal space.
The area around Hometree can be described is heavily wooded, with plenty of other widelife around. The foxes learn from a young age how not to disturb the greater predators, and some will never leave the area directly surrounding Hometree.
So where is the Tree of Souls? The abnormally large cherry blossom tree grows in the shadow of Hometree, where it easily visible when a fox looks outside. It is protected there, and the Clan believes it is the power of the Modeity of the Forest in the Tree of Souls that has allowed Hometree to grow so tall.
Patron Modeity: Eywa, Modeity of the Forests
Beliefs: The Omaticaya believe that all living things are connected in the same flow of energy. In essence, the Clan believes in the circle of life. The Clan respects all living things as part of the same greater system they are a part of. To the Omaticaya, everything is connected back to Eywa, and the direct connection to Eywa and their deceased loved ones is in the Tree of Souls. Picture a tree with its roots branching out across the entire globe, with the roots of every tree connecting to all of the trees around it. This is how the Omaticaya view the world, and they believe that through the Tree of Souls and its saplings that they are part of this 'global network'.
Ideal For a Fox Who: wants to live in a harmonious atmosphere, loves the forests and reveres nature, and is willing to do their share for the tribe. No violent fox will be accepted.

Tribe Location: The tribe dwells by a ocean, having once lived in the mountains but changing locations when the tribe realized others would have trouble approaching their home.
Patron Modeity: Dahlia, Modeity of Light
Beliefs: The tribe is known for their usage of herbs, making medicines and sometimes mild poisons that make foxes hallucinate, but they only ever will distribute this drug to those that wish to drive out unsavory characters without violence. The tribe makes strong medicines, some that even prevent future illness. The tribe is often approached much like a fox hospital, foxes that do not belong to a tribe and have no way to heal themselves often approach this place for free help that has no strings attached. Yasashii helps and never forces a fox to repay them.
They open their home to foxes who belong to no tribe and don't ever want to, allowing foxes to settle with them until they are ready to leave. If a fox is found unhealthy they will heal them within days and let them return to the wilderness they so love.
The tribe worships the Higher Being, Dahlia. They exchange her story between themselves and others that wish to hear it, respecting her for her ability to protect her home without resorting to blood shed. They understand the good do not always win, but if a person does what is right even though they may not succeed it is indeed respectable to them. Dahlia is named the Golden Fox as well for what her appearance is said to be. Dahlia is said to be made of pure light, and so the tribe worships the light, a symbol of a ray of hope when there is only darkness.
The tribe is gentle and accepting. While they spend most of their time making medicines and making their home more accepting to those that need them for shelter.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is interested in healing the wounded and sick, is gentle in nature.

Tribe Location: The Gang lives high up on their mountain, with rugged terrain for practice Spring through Autumn and high snowfalls in the Winter. There are several trails leading down off the mountain; the Kodiak, Ketchikan, Buckland and Skagway trails. Each one can be used by any member at any time, although each team usually trains on their namesake trail. An abandoned cabin on the mountain serves as a storehouse for food, as well as shelter for any sick/injured members and a warm place for kits to sleep. A stream originating at the peak of the mountain serves as the main source of water; in the Summer, some members are known to go swimming in the lake at the base of the mountain.
In the Summer, members sleep in the open in grassy meadows. When the snow starts to fall, members will dig their own snow dens to sleep in. Families may sleep in the same large den, or in the cabin if they have young kits.
Patron Modeity: Hermes, Modeity of Messengers
Beliefs: The Yukon Gang worships Hermes, Deity of Messengers. Even the non-racers and non-delivery teams worship Hermes, remembering the sled dog's roots as a deliverer and supply carrier for the Inuit people. The Gang believes that without Hermes, they would not be together as a unified tribe and family.
Ideal For a Fox Who: like the snow, like to pull sleds or to assist those who do, like to work as a team and have fun.

Tribe Location: Hidden deep within the Himalayas mountains, a topical paradise was created by the great Modeity, Kalachakra. He provides a safe and harmonious environment for modifoxes to raise families away from the harshness of the world. No human has ever found his/her way to what the deity named, Shambala or Shangri-la, because it is so cut off from the world. Therefore there is no human influence in Shangri-la.
Patron Modeity: Kalachakra, Modeity of Balance (?)
Beliefs: The basic concept of the religion is do no harm. The foxes living in this sacred garden must try to avoid violence as best they can. They will often be tested many times, seeing if any of them will give in. Shambala is a place of peace and serenity, meaning that violence has no place or standing there. If there is no possible way to avoid a fight then so be it but you must not kill your enemy. Killing is strictly forbidden to any creature (other modifoxes, animals, etc). Therefore, since killing is taboo the foxes of this tribe are vegetarians with the exception of fish and hunting outside the tribal area.... if you can find anything. Knowing that most foxes are carnivorous the Modeity agreed that the foxes are allowed to eat meat but they must do so outside his domain.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is peaceful in nature and willing to to live by Kalachakra's religion.

Beliefs: The foxes of the Harami Order believe that everything is free. No one truly owns anything, for ownership is only an implied force. These foxes reject this.
They steal, and are notorious among other tribes for their thievery. They raid other tribes, which infuriates the others.
The worship the God of Greed, who is also the God of Thieves.
Ideal For a Fox Who: has a lust for possessions while obeying the rules of The Order. Personality types would include greedy and sly. They do not welcome the violent.

Tribe Location: For the most part the tribe lives next to the river and the black dirt. They know its nearly suicide to go into the desert.
Desert: With out water they dare not venture into the red sand. To them it represents chaos.
Pyramids/River: Pyramids frame the landscape and are a way of storing the foxes tomb along with all its possessions and wealth. It is also littered with protective spells necessary for the next stage in their life's journey and where the foxes bury their dead.
The river is the life bringer, when it floods every year it deposits the black sand that is needed to produce crops and keep various game alive. With out the river the tribe would not be able to survive. However it also lurks dangers. It can flood too much and destroy crops and in its waters lurk crocodiles.
Sea: The two Seas frame two of the sides of the tribe. At the top and the right side it helps bring in fish and another source of food
Patron Modeity: Atum, Modeity of Rivers and Osiris, Modeity of Elders and the Afterlife
Beliefs: The Kemet worship many different modideities however their main two are Atum, who rules over the nile and the primordial water kemet eventually sprang from and Osiris, who rules over the elders and those kemet who have departed to the field of reeds. The Kemet will not put you down if you originally came from a different tribe and worship other deities they just ask that you respect their gods as well. The kemet believe that when the gods are not resting in their altars they often walk among the tribe in different animals. Out of these animals the bull, cat, and crocodile are the most sacred.
The kemet religion heavily stresses afterlife as one of their main gods died and was able to achieve immortality by passing into the world of the beyond. They believe that when the elder is alive he is a type of living deity and when he dies he will then join the underworld and become the next Osiris.
As such the kemet stress the journey to the afterlife and the foxes devote much time and energy into preparing for survival for life in the next world.
Death is not the end in their view but just a transitional stage in the progress to achieving a better life. However how you act in this life depends on your future in the next one. Those rather evil and cruel have the possibility of their soul getting destroyed by Ammut, a chimera like creature that devours the soul of all those evil.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is peaceful but proud, willing to defend themselves and believes in the important of the afterlife.

Tribe Location: In and around the ruins of an old castle.
Patron Modeity: Modeity of Life
Beliefs: The Caledonia Tribe is highly spiritual, and deeply connected to their Deity, only referred to as ‘The Maker’. All foxes are taught to view the world in three distinct and separate levels: the physical, the spiritual, and the symbolic. All intertwined and fundamental, it is through these levels that one can truly understand existence and it’s cyclic nature. Everything is inner connected, nothing is separate.
In the tribe families are not of the conventional sense. There is not just parent and kit. A kit growing up in the tribe will have many mothers and fathers as the entire tribe is a one giant tight knit family. There are times where one kit will be raised by four or five different adults, maybe not even by their biological parent. Everyone member is deeply connected to one another, not just spiritually but mentally and physically. Having gone through basic training (history, light combat training, defensive tactics) together a bond of brotherhood forms that is impenetrable.
Ideal For a Fox Who: is calm-natured and believes in Caledonia's teachings.
