Hidden deep within the Himalayan mountains, a topical paradise was created by the great Modeity, Kalachakra. He provides a safe and harmonious environment for modifoxes to raise families away from the harshness of the world. No human has ever found his/her way to what the deity named, Shambala or Shangri-la, because it is so cut off from the world. Therefore there is no human influence in Shangri-la.
It is a sanctuary to all Modifoxes, so no one who is truly in need of a home shall be turned away. The only initiation into the tribe is swearing allegiance to the deity. Families are encouraged to stay together, but it is by no means required. Celebration and rejoicing are a part of every day life, giving thanks for the blessings that Kalachakra has provided. At sundown, everyone meets around Irminsul, the holy vassal of the famed Cintamani Stone to worship.
Also, Starborn is a sister tribe to Yasashii. Kithara is good friends with Kea.

The wind whipped icily against her face, sending her body into violent shivers. Kea attempted to look before her but saw nothing but white. What had possessed her to cross the mountains was now nothing more then a flighty, naive notion. She no doubt would perish from the dramatic climate alternation. A lone modifox her entire life, Kea sought solitude and serenity. For many years she had wandered the world looking for a place where she could finally settle down without the constant interference of the humankind.
But thus far she had been unsuccessful, obvious to deduce from her current predicament. Silently cursing herself, Kea collapsed in the snow, no longer with enough strength to stand. Her limbs were turning numb, and her lips shifted from purple to as white as the snow laying beneath her.
Suddenly, without origin, a blinding light burst forth in the sky. Looking towards the heavens, Kea squinted at the brightness. She could barely make out the outline of a shadow, a massive, overpowering shadow.
"Rise, Kea of the Woodlands....Your journey is not yet finished." The deep baritone voice sung from the heavens, washing over her body like a healing touch. Her sore muscles soothed, and her skin suddenly became warm again.
"What.....is this?" She stood up and looked around confused.
"I have ben waiting for you, my child....Come...follow the sound of my voice...The home you have been searching for is closer then you think....Come."
Kea stared blankly ahead as her paws started to move of their own accord. Seemingly without effort, she trudged through the frigid snow. And then, the most miraculous thing happen. The snow started to melt away, fields of grass sprung from under her feet, and trees as tall as the sky broke through the earth. Before her eyes the barren white snow transformed into a topical paradise of life.
"How did...."
"This is my gift to you child....live....live and save others like yourself.....I have created a garden for you, my children, to hide from the harshness of the world." As he spoke tall monuments burst through the grass and rose high into the air, "A temple.....so you may always reach me....and a home for you to live." The Modeity reached up and pulled a stone from his forehead and placed it on the stump of a tree within the temple, "This will act as a reminder to you of the home I have provided for all foxes that choose to live here."

The stone that the Modeity pulled from his forehead was named the Cintamani Stone, and it fossilized the tree in which it was embedded, called Irminsul. Modifoxes show their respect to Kalachakra by praying every morning in front of Irminsul.
The Cintamani Stone however is not allowed to be touched by anyone except the Elder.
Kalachakra's faith stresses balance in everything. Male and female, good and evil, the hunter and the hunted. He insists that all his followers believe in Prajna, Sila, and Samadhi.
Prajna is the wisdom that purifies the mind, allowing it to attain spiritual insight into the true nature of all things. It includes: viewing reality as it is, not just as it appears to be and intention of renunciation, freedom and harmlessness. Sila is the ethics or morality, or abstention from unwholesome deeds. It includes: speaking in a truthful and non-hurtful way; acting in a non-harmful way; and a non-harmful livelihood. Samadhi is the mental discipline required to develop mastery over one's own mind. This is done through the practice of various contemplative and meditative practices, and includes: making an effort to improve; awareness to see things for what they are with clear consciousness, being aware of the present reality within oneself, without any craving or aversion; and correct meditation or concentration.
The basic concept of the religion is do no harm. The foxes living in this sacred garden must try to avoid violence as best they can. They will often be tested many times, seeing if any of them will give in. Shambala is a place of peace and serenity, meaning that violence has no place or standing there. If there is no possible way to avoid a fight then so be it but you must not kill your enemy. Killing is strictly forbidden to any creature (other modifoxes, animals, etc). Therefore, since killing is taboo the foxes of this tribe are vegetarians with the exception of fish and hunting outside the tribal area.... if you can find anything. Knowing that most foxes are carnivorous the Modeity agreed that the foxes are allowed to eat meat but they must do so outside his domain.
If the fox fails to live by the these rules they will first be warned, then punished which can be anything the Elder chooses from sitting in a corner to being cast out from the tribe for a few days, and finally exiled into the harsh mountains of the Himalayas. The rules that can be broken consist of fighting with the intention of harming another fox or animal, eating any form of meat other then fish in the domain of the tribe, and last the killing of any animal that is not meant as food outside or inside the domain. If the last rule is broken there will be no warning. The fox will ether be punished or exiled, it is the Elders choice. The only one who may punish a fox for these crimes is the Elder. If cast out for as many days as the Elder chooses the fox must survive on their own with no help from other tribe members. When their punishment is done they will be able to come back to the tribe.

This tribe as a number of rules that need to be followed if you want to join.
1. Follow First Gaia rules, then Modifoxes rules. (keep it pg-13, and you cannot make any fox do something they do not want to do.)
2. Killing is forbidden in any form except for fish and hunting outside the domain of the tribe.
3. All foxes must stress themselves on living a non-harmful existence. Therefore, you do not say or take action that could harm someone physically or mentally to the best of your ability.
4. Foxes must be vegetarian (with the exception of fish in the village and animals outside the village)
5. Have fun! blaugh
