[about Eltimioth]

Age: about 5 7

Personality: Eltimioth is spunky, excitable--your typical overenthusiastic variety green. She has an eye like a magpie and is particularly entranced by shiny things--she's gotten E'lai to start a seashell collection for her, as finding the pearlescent objects on the sand is one of her favorite past-times when they're not busy on Weyr business. She takes advantage of her rider just as much as his sibs did in childhood, but the difference is that Eltimioth will defend E'lai rabidly to the bitter end. She's unusually rider-focused even amongst dragons, rarely showing a preference for any male dragons and her flights are almost always ruled by her rider's will. She's a shameless gossip and can't wait to tell E'lai the latest Weyr happenings.

She takes such a close interest in E'lai's life she is able to remember the names of those he interacts with, and she's likely to butt into any romantic developments of her rider's. Despite her somewhat bullying nature, she has his best interests at heart, and she's a rock-solid bastion of self-confidence for her doormat of a rider. He may yet develop a spine!

She has the odd habit of speaking to those other than her rider, and she's quite infamous for it. After multiple scoldings and a few orders from the senior Queen, she has much improved--she's been forbidden to speak to Candidates, usually can't be heard by nonriders, and generally limits herself to pestering her clutchmates' riders and possibly those in her wing, though she is quick to respect the requests of her fellow dragons to kindly not speak to their riders kthanx. She'll still occasionally spook the lucky nonrider at a Gather, as she thinks it's pretty funny. This habit comes from the green's sense of efficiency, as she usually doesn't see the point of telling someone's dragon something and making the dragon rely it to their rider when she can just tell them herself. She also fact checks her gossip by asking the rider if something their dragon told her was true, and usually judges from their reaction whether it was true or not.

Eltimioth has the subtlety of a slamming door--she is direct and to the point. She is also direct and to the point about expecting to be admired--by her rider, by her "friends", and any firelizards she can coerce into thinking so.

S'ren and Brown Tereth - E'lai and S'ren struck up a friendship after Impressing in the same clutch, and E'lai looks up to the brownrider as an older brother. Eltimioth and Tereth like gossiping together--unfortunately for S'ren, they're usually gossiping about him.

[family relations]
Jaina (foster mother) - E'lai still visits her frequently and brings her presents to apologize for being a terrible monster of a foster child (well, the one he assumed people thought of him as with him getting blamed for everything). Jaina and Eltimioth have a curious sort of friendship based in the fact that they both care very deeply for E'lai--as a consequence, E'lai thinks Jaina probably spoils Eltimioth too much.

Gabriel - A nice Candidate he first met in the kitchens. She seems industrious and the persevering type; E'lai wishes her well in trying to Impress. Eltimioth looks forward to the day she gets a dragon so she can talk Gabriel's ear off.
