It seems you've stumbled upon our little hangout out here in the wilds of Gaia Guilds! If you're just browsing, thank you for visiting! Now, this isn't your regular old Welcome thread! Ohhh no. This is a very special thread packed with all of the information you could ever hope to cram into your pretty little noggin! If you ain't just passin' through, I expect y'all to check in regular and often-like! If there's anything going on in the guild - anything you need to check up on, any special occassions or announcements or just plain cool stuff - you'll find it in here! I'll be constantly updating it to keep people in the know! THIS is the godfather of all information threads!

...Let's start with the basics, shall we? ^^~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~How did we come to be?
The Intelligent Resistance thread ballooned from a simple expression of one member's concern to the unofficial BOO HQ, where the most devoted members would meet and discuss tactics. One look at the thread, however, will tell you that it wasn't all srs business. (In fact, srs business was a seldom event!) It was a place where the Overseer's devotees could crack insane jokes, chatter randomly, get to know one another and feel up eachother's tridents. Ahem.
What separated us from SIN? We had spirit. We had fun. We had eachother.
...We didn't want the event to end.
So, to keep the spirit of the thread alive, the Benevolent Order was born.
We are the representatives of His Clamminess, the Overseer. We believe in his might, in his word. We believe in ourselves and our fellows. We believe in good and justice, and what's more we campaign for it.~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~What is it that we do here? The idea was to create a place where all of us BOO veterans could meet up and still see eachother regularly after the end of the event.
However, to keep the true spirit of the thread alive we needed something more than that! Intelligent Resistance was about providing the most comprehensive event guide there was, and I'm very proud to say that it succeeded.
Therefore, here you will find a little bit of everything! Making a thread about whatever tickles your fancy is completely acceptable here. As well as that we will provide current news (and even more current gossip) from every corner of Gaia; it is our aim to keep you informed, and informed you shall be!
In addition, all you roleplayers out there will squirm with delight when you see the section we have devoted to you. Roleplays devoted to BOO and the conflict between good and evil are encouraged, but hey, you really want to make that magical catgirl alien rp you've always dreamed of? Go ahead. Everyone will get a kick out of it!
If that isn't enough, we have a subforum devoted to all your artistic endeavours, and none of this is taking into account the wacky antics sure to regularly ensue when you get a bunch of naked clam-lovers together. To quote an amused bystander, "...Antics sure is the best way to describe it."

This is a thread created by Lorika. It is the only kind of roleplay thread that advances the storyline - the thread around which events and the canon are based. If you want a scene to be part of the canon it is advised that you post it in one of the [O] threads, but if you want to post a canon thread of your own that contributes to the roleplay you must ask for permission and mark it with its own special tag - see below.
A roleplay which follows the canon, but not the system: [CA]
Examples of such a thread are War Stories and Dreams. These are threads that function primarily to develop your character. They do not CONTRIBUTE to the storyline USUALLY, as described above. If you'd like your thread to have a direct effect on the Oficial roleplay, you must request permission, and then mark it with its own special tag: [CON]
A roleplay which follows the canon, but is semi-OOC/crack: [CRAB]
Because we love our silliness here at the Order, this kind of roleplay deserves its own category. Examples are The Onsen and Bakar's Balls, where characters stay in their characters but a load of random stuff ends up happening to them with hilarious consequences.
A roleplay which follows the system but not the canon: [SY]
These can be any kind of roleplay - even Monkeys in Space - so long as they follow the System. You don't need permission to use the system within the guild, but if you want to use it in your own thread or guild I ask that you request permission and give credit.
A roleplay which follows the system AND canon, but does not contribute: [SYCA]
An example of this is the Arena. This is where you might be playing your official character and following the canon AND battling with the system, but where nothing you do affects the official roleplay.
A roleplay which follows neither system or canon, but is Order related: [BOO]
Just to distinguish these kinds of roleplay from others. =) BOO ftwww~!
