It was my... uhh...
mom's... cousin... I think.
*still isn't familiar with the gigantic family tree on my mom's side*
Apart from the gratuitous amounts of seafood (ugh), the duck and the shark's fin soup was great.
And since I was sitting with all the small kids who are extremely picky buggers, I get to take around 3 servings of each... uhh... serving.
The groom had a twin brother. And you barely could tell them apart because they were wearing the same thing and both had glasses.
While the groom was giving the speech and giving his thanks to his parents and his colleagues and friends and stuff, he started talking about his brother, who stood up and said 'If he gets tired I can take over and finish the rest of it for him.'
Made me wonder if it was really the right guy getting married that day.

A note for everyone on the fate of Panda:
I know you were all pretty shocked at his apparent demise, but many of you have also been skeptical. Well, we'd always planned to make it look as if it couldve plausibly gone either way depending on whether or not his shield held. The idea had been for a surprise re-entrance later in the day... however, it has been decided that Panda will definitely not be returning to the roleplay. He is dead and gone, for good.
Of course, this will have massive repercussions in the roleplay. I'm now planning on opening a competition for you guys to have the opportunity to roleplay the new Spellcasting Master (or Mistress) after the beginning of Chapter 2, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I know I've been inactive the past week, mainly due to illness, but I'll get my a** in gear from now on.
You might also have noticed that Panda is no longer Vice Captain, or a member of the Crew. I ask that you do not press for details on this matter, as it is non-Guild related.

How come there wasn't a petition for a new Combat Master/Mistress when Captain Jessie Hawk didn't fill the position?
You just promptly took over the character. o_o

The two situations = completely different.
As far as I knew, CJH was only to be gone for a short time, just like Panda. If you remember, I filled in both positions. Panda came back. CJH didn't. By the time he DID return, my version of Jessie was too well established, as I'd simply continued to play him to keep filling the gap. A sudden personality switch would have made no sense and been unrealistic, so CJH VERY graciously (he was INCREDIBLY sweet and understanding about this, huge credit to him) gave me full custody over his character in this guild.
Now, we have a character who is dead. Clinically dead, gone, never to return. The CHARACTER is dead. Therefore a new CHARACTER is needed to fill the gap, rather than a controller to play a pre-existing character temporarily or permanently.
Get me?

I miss his meanness already. He was so fun to get mad at...
If I'm being perfectly honest, I actually cried. Although since it's so close to graduation {TOMORROW} I'm not sure if it's because we lost Professor Panda or because I'm leaving my friends. Although, I can't say I'm happy with very many of my non-online friends right now...

On a more serious note, I haven't RP'd with Panda for a very long time but his character will surely be missed. Curious to see how everyone will react in the RP after they figure he won't be coming back, though, particularly the spellcasters.

That's why he shouldn't die, he has a very important role and was already promised that he would come back. Kumo wanted to join the guild too, but now she's rethinking, due to other circumstances which also apply to here. I say if it was already promised, he should come back.

Well, that's not what he told me. He told me he still didn't mind coming back if Kumo joined, but apparently now it's not going to happen. :[ I wouldn't have minded playing with him too.
