Name: Hayden Lynch
Nicknames: n/a
Age: 17
Birthday: February 9th
Sign: Aquarius
Blood Type: AB+
Fav. Food: Sushi
Hated Food: Chili peppers
School: Meadowview
Hobbies: Drama – After participating in a school play when she was in fifth grade, Hayden’s been engrossed with theater and drama ever since. Over the years she’s tried her hand at a variety of the roles involved in creating a production. She’s been a techie. She’s helped with designing. She’s helped with set construction. However, Hayden finally settled on acting. She finds it easy to slip into the shoes of different characters. People have also noted her ability to improvise. Hayden involves herself in most drama-related events, but devotes most of herself into the main stage productions and switches to set construction crew for other events.
Magic tricks – When her father had to leave on an extended business trip, a classmate of Hayden’s performed simple magic tricks to cheer her up. She’s been interested ever since. It’s always fun to see the awed and/or surprised faces of people whenever she does a trick, and the fact that she knows the secret behind it and they don’t makes it even sweeter. She is well conversed in coin and card magic. She also makes use of her improvising ability, as she makes up her “script” (her instructions/directions to the audience) each time.
Biking – When her parents first taught her how to ride a bike she had picked it up quickly, mastering it faster than most children would have. From then on Hayden rode her bike as often as possible. Since her school was nearby, she always took it to school, even in elementary. Even now she uses her bike to go everywhere, screw driving! She bikes to school, to her friends' houses, to the mall, to everywhere! Heck, Hayden has even started learning how to do tricks with her bike, which is so far limited to slides, wheelies, and small jumps.
Gemstone: Emerald
Virtues: A lighthearted fellow – After Hayden discovered her love of magic and making others smile, she’s focused on becoming cheerful and funny in hopes that her light mood may be infectious. She is not joyful to the point of becoming annoying, but has just the right “dose” of mirth, humor, and sense of timing to make people smile without irking others. During class she’ll occasionally crack a joke, but won’t try to get a laugh every second. Her joy is rarely disturbed, even in frustrating or stressful moments, making her a suitable person to keep the mood high or cheer someone up. She’ll do whatever it takes to make others smile, whether it is through witty remarks, exaggerated movements, pranks, or making a fool of her self. Hayden is not afraid to be a joker when the situation calls for it.
I’m so clever – Admittedly, Hayden’s grades aren’t very high, hovering around a C-average. However, her grades belie her intellect, she is quite clever and witty when she feels like it. Begin a pun war with Hayden and one will never see the end of it. Attempt to humiliate her with a prank or trick question and her keen eyes and quick reactions will make quick work of it to turn the trick against the creator. When pressed for an invention or reason, Hayden is able to conjure what is needed. She works best when there is little time or pressured to do something. If given more time she will be less inclined to do something about it.
I’m up for that – When asked to perform small favors, Hayden is always willing to do so, partly because she wants to and partly because she wants to get on their good side. People can ask her to carry something for them or come over to a place for a school fundraiser; they’ll be sure to get an enthusiastic ‘yes’ from her. So long as the task sounds like fun she will do it, from climbing high buildings to eating gross foods. Certain things she will absolutely not do are academic-related favors. Things that sound boring may be accepted if she has the time and feels like it. As long as Hayden has an opportunity to interact with others, she is fine with helping with nearly anything people present to her.
Until the end of time – As an amiable joker and someone who likes to socialize, Hayden is familiar with a lot of people. Though she may be helpful to everyone there are only a select few that she will loyally stick with until the end of time, through thick and thin. These people can be childhood friends, those she easily connects with, or someone she is indebted to. She will do what they ask of her with obedience and few questions. Hayden will also be watchful about her friends, paying attention to their physical and mental health, helping out whenever they have a problem. If they are in trouble she will immediately jump to their rescue, pampering and helping them. Sometimes she voices her disagreement against those she’s loyal to, but rarely doggedly sticks with her opinion.
Flaws: Me? Get serious? – Though Hayden knows when to not crack jokes and start to get serious, that doesn’t necessarily mean she does get serious. If she is given class time to do work she will gladly spend that time speaking with others and goofing off instead. When doing a project she does minimum work and spends little time on it, which reflects in her barely-average grades. If Hayden participates in a conversation dealing with a serious topic, she’ll fail to understand why everyone is so worried and try to lighten the atmosphere, usually doing the opposite in the end. Even if Hayden willing offers help she does not often take it seriously and treats it as a task as simple as opening the door for someone – it requires little effort. This often results in poorly-done/bare minimum/average work that could certainly be better. The only times she becomes serious or determined is when it involves something she really enjoys doing or is a life-or-death situation.
Procrastinator to the max – Hayden is able to improvise without making it too obvious, and she knows it. She makes use of this ability of hers so that she can procrastinate on her work whenever possible. Homework is done at the last minute, but her quick hands manage to make the writing legible and not a scrawl so as not to create suspicion. When needing to give a presentation, Hayden walks in unrehearsed and knowing the gist of what she wants to say. Whenever she walks into a situation that requires preparation or would be better to prepare, she always strides in with little studying or training.
Words mean nothing – Hayden is always wary of the promises and opinions that come out of one’s mouth. She does not believe that their words are sincere until it is put into action. At times she can come off as a skeptic that does not easily hand out her trust to others. Despite her cheerful, helpful image her doubtfulness creates distance between Hayden and her classmates. She isn’t doubtful because she is cynical, but because Hayden realizes that she is not always sincere with what she says. Her parents can ask her to get her grades up and she’ll say ‘yes’, but never will. Someone with average looks could ask her if they’re pretty and she’d say ‘yes’.
In the present not the future – [WEAKNESS] Hayden is always constantly inviting herself to various parties or events, helping others, and doing whatever she pleases at the drop of a dime. If she happens to feel like doing something, she’ll do it without a second thought. She may have a quick thought process, but that doesn’t mean she’s more likely to pause and go “Oh, maybe that’s not a good idea”. Actually, in Hayden’s case, more thoughts lead to more bad decisions. If she wants to solve a problem, she dives right in without much consideration towards how she’ll actually fix things. Without taking the long-term effects into account, Hayden acts and does however she pleases, often coming off as impulsive or brash.
Physical Description:
Hair: Since she was a child her hair has always been short, figuring that it was less of a hassle to care for than long hair and so it now brushes her shoulders. Her hair is neatly cut with the strands almost all the same length. Hayden also has bangs that completely obscure her forehead, cut in the same fashion. The color of her hair is a lilac. She always wears a band atop of her head, it’s usually black with a pale yellow flower hanging off her right side. 215 for reference
Eyes: Hayden has medium, almond-shaped eyes that are usually mischievously narrowed. They’re a light shade of mint green.
Face: She has a small, heart-shaped face. Dark freckles dot her cheeks. Hayden has a light pale complexion that sunburns easily.
Body: Somewhat tall at 5’6” and has a slim, pear-shaped body. She’s more suited to short sprints and small jumps rather than run long-distance. Hayden is also quick and agile for dodging.
Fashion: Hayden doesn’t pay much to how pretty her clothes are. She sticks with hooded jackets that’re zipped up and pushed up to her elbows paired with jeans. She also usually wears beat up sneakers.

Name: Nerita (Greek for "of the sea")
Nicknames: Neri, NeriBerry
Fav. Food: Berries
Hated Food: Peppers
Hobbies: Sewing A quiet activity that’s always nice to do when she’s stressed or on a calm day. The main reason Nerita took up sewing was because she would then be able to mend her clothes herself, as well as any other clothes that her friends may bring her if they wanted to. Later on as she began to gain more skill in her sewing she started to make her own clothes, which she has come to greatly enjoy. Although not an excellent designer, Nerita can at least take a picture of a dress or outfit that she likes and after gathering the right materials, sew up a replica of it. She also makes use of embroidery to make her clothes more unique and interesting.
Astronomy Whenever she finds her brain to be overtaxed, whether by schoolwork or other stresses, she finds staring up at the stars to be relaxing. If Nerita feels tired she can always climb out the window of her bedroom (the most daring thing she does on a regular basis) and lay on the roof, admiring the twinkling stars. She’s memorized and can locate all the constellations and the few major stars, even looking up the mythology behind the constellations as well. Nerita is also interested in other celestial bodies, such as comets, galaxies, and the different types of stars.
Code Something that she does often, since Nerita is able to do it whenever and wherever she is, unlike sewing or astronomy. She has a growing interest in making and breaking codes. Nerita’s even memorized Morse code. When she has free time and a computer is nearby, she’ll usually attempt to search tips on how to break codes and even print out some to decode throughout her day. She mostly uses old letters sent by spies in previous wars as her self-assigned “homework”.
Virtues: Let’s be logical – Nerita’s number one method of solving is through logic and common sense. How does one realize someone likes them? She uses a tedious process to answer her questions and problems. Observe. Analyze. Formulate. Test. Execute. She has a methodical way of thinking and strongly appreciates being given directions or leeway to solve as she pleases. As her mind is always swirling with numbers and formulas, she is the ideal person to come to whenever one needs help with math or science. Give her a few seconds because she’ll have the answer in a jiff! When logic cannot be used to answer a question, Nerita will do her best to find the most logical explanation that she can, otherwise she will ignore it or label it as a phenomena that cannot be explained at the moment.
Thinking of you – Nerita is more on the quiet side, so a lot of her actions do the speaking for her. If she sees someone in need she will softly walk over to assist them. Her friends could excitedly charge towards somewhere while unknowingly leaving someone behind, but Nerita will linger so as to keep them company. She gives small trinkets or actions when she notices someone is feeling down. When she is conversing with her friends and a delicate topic comes up, she is thoughtful and attempts to word what she says so that people will not get offended. She is even thoughtful to the point that if Nerita is sent out to order drinks, she’ll usually know at least the gist of what everyone knows, having observed them on a daily basis.
Have it alphabetized – If something’s not neat in some way, expect Nerita to tackle it with her organizing skills sooner or later. Her room is spotless, clothes divided into types and colors, and her books and CDs are alphabetized for easy retrieval. She loves to categorize and organize. Everything about her is neat and her possessions always divided in some logical way. When she sees a dirty room she feels possessed to clean it up. If given nothing to do Nerita will mindlessly start organizing objects and dusting the room that she’s in. This also applies to other objects that she can get her hands on. She'll mindlessly button up a friend's shirt. Ask to reorganize their backpack or desk. Anything she can clean, she will clean it.
Your faithful dog – She wholeheartedly believes and trusts her friends and comrades, loyally staying by their side. Though Nerita may have doubts about a plan, if her comrade convincingly tells her to trust them and do it, she will do it. A friend may want to do something and others don’t believe that they can do it, but if Nerita thinks that her friend can do it, she will continue to faithfully believe so. Her comrade could be framed and if it doesn’t seem like them, Nerita will believe that they didn’t do it. It isn’t always easy to get Nerita’s faith, but once it’s earned it’s hard to take away. Minor things such as lies or slight immoral behavior are overlooked, but more serious acts such as betrayal will make Nerita reluctantly turn her back to them.
Flaws: I don’t know about that – Nerita is a logical person, which mean that she always weighs the pros and cons of something. However, this easily leads to her becoming indecisive about something, as she often comes up with a somewhat-equal amount of pros and cons. She’s often left at a loss of what to do and must rely on someone she trusts to make the decision for her, though she’ll still be doubtful because of the list she made. Along with her indecisiveness, she is naturally doubtful. Unless she is familiar with someone she does not often wholeheartedly trust what they say. Even if she’s close with someone, she still doubts them at times, such as their ability to perform a task or a plan that they suggested.
Zone out – Nerita is the type that can’t leave a problem or riddle unanswered, personal troubles of her friends or self included. If she happens to give the wrong answer to something she’ll mull over it until she finds the answer on her own. Instead, she thinks and thinks about it, thinking about it so deeply that she loses focus on the outside world. Not only does she over-think various problems, Nerita also pays too much attention to her surroundings. That girl has a pretty dress! That boy’s eating ice cream, that looks del---crash! Although her whirring mind and eyes are not incredibly detrimental to her everyday life, it’s not surprising to find her slightly zoned out or even crash into objects.
Can’t say no – When Nerita tries to avoid conflict she has a greater tendency to ambiguously agree with someone to escape their wrath. Her pacifist ways may make her an ideal judge or referee, but after some coaxing people can make her do a lot of things (within reason). Though she may not always voice her agreement to everything that her friends say, she won’t outright disagree with them either, as she fears disappointing or hurting others in some way and also ends up willingly taking someone's hurtful words or anger. This makes her come off as quite passive and lacking her own opinion, even meek at times.
Take it slow – [WEAKNESS] Being cautious and slow is fine, but Nerita takes it to another level. She wants to read up on anything she does or anyone she meets. Going to the beach? Okay, Nerita will have to constantly monitor the weather, see how far the beach is, make a list of what to bring, prepare for unforeseen situations (shark attack! sunburn!), etc. She wants to make sure things go smoothly, so Nerita meticulously plans and researches, though it takes forever and most of her planning is unnecessary. Not only does she go slowly when she plans, but a lot of the other activities she does such as schoolwork or her hobbies.
Challenge: Are you lost? Close your eyes and disappear
Fuku Colors: Ocean blue // pale blue (or perhaps a pastel orange for contrast) If possible, maybe some "sensible" shoes to go with Hermes' whole "smart, logical" image? Sensible being no heels, really. Maybe glasses like Mercury's because it looks so cool?
Possible Attacks:
1a. - Caduceus Mist Hermes summons a pair of snakes made of mist. They slither and dart across the area, spreading a thin veil mist wherever they go before disappearing. Objects are clearly seen in a 6 ft. radius. Those who are in the mist - save for Hermes - begin to hear voices that strike fear, anger, or other negative emotions that may hinder their rationality and logic. Hermes' allies also hear the voices, but are [relatively] unaffected by it.
[ Why the voices?: Because at first I wanted it to be voices of the dead (as Hermes is the messenger god that delivers souls to the Underworld), but then I thought this would be more fun. rofl. ]
1b. - Hallucinating Mist The mist becomes thicker and harder to navigate. Objects that cannot be clearly seen take on the shape of something ominous, such as a monster or someone dangerous.
2 - Serpentine Apparitions Again, Hermes creates a pair of snakes made of mist, but instead lightly circles the target before disappearing. The target, at first, feels nothing, but as the battle goes on they begin to suffer mild hallucinations that can either be doppelgangers of their enemy or seeing their friends/comrades that aren't actually there.
[ This attack is sort of based on how the caduceus is a pair of snakes and thus - snake bites and the effects of it. Clearly, the effects in the attack aren't the same as they relate more to Hermes and deception. ]

Why Hayden? Hayden loyally stays with those that she admires and respects. Because of Corinna's confidence, leader-like qualities, and want for justice I can see Hayden easily respecting her. Whatever Corinna said, Hayden would happily do.
Nerita is quite smart, but her intelligence lies more with researching and solving problems over a designated period of time. During battles or times when quick reflexes are required, she would be unable to make full use of her intellect and problem-solving skills. However, with Hayden's ability to work well under pressure and a small amount of time, the two would be able to work together to form a strategic duo that could work well for both a short or long period of time.
Nerita is somewhat meek and timid, someone who is easy to walk over and finds it difficult to voice her opinions. Hayden would be able to give her more confidence to say what is on her mind and be unafraid to disagree with classmates or acquaintances. In return, Nerita would be able to ground Hayden and help her become more serious and orderly, as well as thinking about the consequences of her actions and to be thoughtful of others.
However, Nerita's "I don't know about that" would emphasize Hayden's "Words mean nothing" by making them both more doubtful and wary of others. They would particularly be more suspicious about the sincerity of one's words. Hayden's "Until the end of time" would also emphasize Nerita's "Your faithful dog". Shane's "A lighthearted fellow" is also similar to Nerita's "Thinking of you" in that they use that particular trait to cheer others up.
Mercury and Hermes Influences As Sailor Hermes is the parallel to Sailor Mercury, I figured that intelligence/being smart would be a fitting trait to add to both the parallel and host. Hayden is more along the lines of being witty and clever whereas Nerita is logical and science-oriented.
Nerita and Mercury are similar in that they both have a graceful, quiet image. However, Nerita is noticeably more meek and timid while Mercury is more sophisticated and serious. The fact that they both like astronomy is coincidental, I actually didn't realize Mercury liked astronomy until I read the side story, haha.
Hayden, like Hermes, is on the playful side. She is lighthearted and likes to play jokes on others. However, she is also clever enough to justify her jokes and antics, similar to how Hermes was able to soothe Apollo by giving him a lyre after stealing his cattle. She is also flexible and friendly, relating to Hermes domain of hospitality.
Relationships: (All based on written personalities)
Selene: As her Queen, Nerita is wholeheartedly dedicated to serving Selene and obeying whatever she says, perhaps even blindly so. If the Queen told her to jump in a pit of snakes, Nerita would do so with little hesitation and complaint. Rarely does she vocally say her doubts and suspicions about the Queen's decisions, keeping them to herself instead. She admires Selene's ability to remain firm in her decision and not let doubts cloud her mind. Nerita feeds the Queen's ego (although unintentionally so) and also realizes how easily Selene can be manipulated, so Nerita attempts to protect her Queen from being controlled, not realizing that she herself could be manipulated while doing so.
Although Hayden only knows a bit about the Queen, she admires how fair and just she is, even often telling her so and possibly adding to her ego at the same time. Hayden also likes to tease her and her insecurity, though she always makes a point to say that she is joking and that all her teasing is done out of care. As someone closely involved in drama and at-peace with herself, problems and all, she wants to help Selene stop being insecure. Hayden treats her much like a caring older sibling that likes to tease their younger sibling.
Aphrodite: A comrade, but most of all, Nerita's captain. She holds Aphrodite in the highest order of respect and follows her commands with few disagreements, especially because they both believe in strategy and logic, but can be twisted when their Queen is in danger. She appreciates how Aphrodite acts like a supportive sister, but can be strict when the time calls for it.
Frankly, Hayden is not a very big fan of being strict and tight, but does recognize the need to be organized and strategic. She reluctantly does what Aphrodite says, though she fully knows that it is probably the most logical course of action. Even so, she still remains her lighthearted self around Aphrodite and does enjoy her captain's presence.
Laocoon Being the smart, easily-manipulated duo since forever! It's not surprising to see Nerita and Akylas huddled over a book of puzzles or riddles. She treats him as a close friend and patiently overlooks and endures his flaws.

Mark Lynch 47, a man not only good with computers (he's a software engineer) but also knowledgeable in the area of theater, particularly theater music. He is an easygoing man that loves to make jokes and is the type of parent that can get along with children easily and also be fun to be with. Both Mark and Shayne are able to connect with each through their love of theater (something she actually inherited from both parents). When he's not busy with work the pair can often be found at the piano in their living room, playing songs and singing the lyrics together.
Anna Lynch 46, an elementary teacher with lots of patience and kindness to spare. She always has a kind smile on her face and offering children snacks and candy to calm them down. Anna rarely loses her temper and doesn't hesitate to sugarcoat her words if she thinks the subject at hand is a delicate matter or harsh. She is an active member of the theater and is often seen helping the children's theater with set design or teching in her free time. Shayne often comes to her mother for homework help, as she can explain concepts much better than her father.
Arden Lynch 13, unlike the rest of the family, she's not particularly interested in drama. She's more interested in science. The family are not at all opposed to it and encourage her interest as a scientist. Unlike her parents and sister, Arden is more on the quiet side and serious. The rest may like to pull jokes, but Arden uses logic and has a serious sense of humor. However, she still does love her family and helps out whenever she can.

Droppin' another crit for ya!
For Shayne: Her hobbies are good, love for the Drama kids! My only suggestion there is to add another that can involve going somewhere in a ground. Perhaps an outdoor sport? That can lead for more RP opportunities in the future.
Flaws are Virtues are good. Maybe elaborate a little more? Get into what makes her that way and what good and bad may come from it.
For Hermes:
I love the severe contrast between Doris and Shayne. It will make for an interesting mix.
Her virtues are good for a Senshi, they all go hand in hand. It does really seem to add to that serious nature though, which is covered by a flaw. Maybe add in something a little more... popping? Something that doesn't exactly flow but can work for her to give her more than just "serious".
Flaws I don't see any big problems with. C:
For attacks - Maybe some more detail? How long do they last and how close does she have to be for them to work? How many times per battle do they work? Also, I like how they all work with mist, but I'm wondering if more "Hermes" can be added into how they work.
Good work though, I'm loving how she's coming along and I love your "Why" post and relationship explanations. It really adds to the quest. <3

Thanks Never!
@Shayne: Added in competitive swimming as another hobby. I happen to do that too, so I'm total expert on it. xD
Actually, most of her flaws are the bad sides of her virtues and vice versa. Lighthearted => Get serious? Improvise => Not so prepared. Ready to please => Give me praise. And always up for that (is sorta) => In the present. Genius, right? xD I did the same thing for Doris's original virtues and flaws.
@Hermes: True, so I switched out a couple virtues and a flaw! Hopefully they show bit of a different side to Doris. :>
Attacks: Oh yeah, it is. xD I haven't come up with any concrete attacks, so those were just little ideas I had. I'll try to come up with some specific attacks I want to give Hermes, though!
Again, thanks for the crit. <3

D: I TRIED MY BEST. Overall, I love Shayne and Neri. o 3o.
Nice rounded hobbies. I particularly like her magic trick one since I'm a total sucker for magic tricks. 8D <3
Your virtues are well selected. I don't see much to comment on. D:
Your flaw 'Me? Get Serious?' coincides with Shayne's virtue of 'I'm up for that'.
Does that mean she does favors half-assed? Does she choose the easy way out often? If so I think you should make it more obvious than implying it. That's just me.
Your procrastination flaw amuses me because it reminds me of myself so much. XD
For Shayne's flaw on being a flatter, you should probably leave a comment on how it affects her relationship with others. Just a thought. : D
Last flaw....
Lol.
Shayne is always constantly invitations to various parties or events, helping others, and doing whatever she pleases at the drop of a dime.
Care to fix that? XD
AND VAL TOTALLY APPROVES OF HER HAIR. neutral He says he'd totally take her out for a game of laser tag as a first date if it wasn't for the fact that he's legal and she's not.
TIME FOR NERITAAAAAAAAAA I like her hobbies. For code, I'd like to suggest Morse code. 8D It seems like something Neri would pick up.
LOGIC! How does Neri react when logic cannot explain something? neutral Does she crumble? Does she go into self denial? I am curious.
Thinking of you. ; __; <3 Such a sweet virtue. It's enough to give me diabetes. I approve.
Have it alphabetized - Seems like OCD. Does this obsessive behavior only apply to dirty rooms? Does she have a compulsive desire to clean out dirty cars? Backpacks? Closets? : x Elaborate.
For her flaw, I think indecisiveness is a very good think to couple with her rationality.
And her last two flaws seem fine to me. C:
And I'm not too knowledgeable on senshi attacks. But instead of all physical attacks you should try considering a support attack. Like...
Subduing Mist which might slow down your opponent's thought process for a minute or two. 8'D
Or maybe it just messes with their sense of direction, since it's easy to loose one's direction in a mist/fog.

Hello again! In her hobbies it sounds like she’s already such a professional, especially with theatre and magic tricks, at such a young age. Even if she’s been acting since 5th grade, because of liability, students usually aren’t allowed to do anything more than act until high school. She’s only 16 and let’s say they have three performances a year plus a class during the year, she still sounds too talented. Now, if she didn’t have her other hobbies that require time and practice, too, then I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but to me it seems as though she’s too amazing.
For magic tricks, what do you mean by escaping? Like, being tied up and able to get out of knots? I think you could have done without that information, or if you want to keep it, you should elaborate to say just what she can and can’t do.
It’s the biking thing that conflicts the most with the drama for me. I feel like both hobbies require so much time and energy, I’m not sure if she can realistically get away with doing that. But I definitely like the ideas behind them! Just soften them a bit?
I’m only saying that because I used to do theatre all through high school and I barely had time for anything else.
And, obviously I’m not done, but I lost track of time. XD; I’ll have to finish this up tomorrow! Hoped this helped a little. o___o; I hope I’m not too harsh-sounding… I didn’t mean to.
