Let me be the first to acknowledge that this roleplay is not--in any way, shape, or form-- mine. Everything, from the original idea to the setup, belongs to Unintentional Happiness. I corrected her sentence structure here and there, and I added in a few rules, but most of the words are hers as well. Many of you are probably thinking, ‘Okay, so you’re not Unintentional Happiness. In that case, what the hell do you think you’re doing?' Fair question.
This was a ridiculously good RP that died for no good reason, at least no good reason that I can make out. Everyone who had been accepted was still interested, and tons of new people were applying. It seemed unspeakably wrong that such an interesting, original RP should die just… because. I decided to give it another shot.

In any case, this is the to-be OOC thread for the roleplay, but I will post all the information here so well, so that everyone knows what he or she needs to be doing in order to join. I hope that you all enjoy, but just to warn you, the roleplay will be limited.

[♫] Posting better be awesome:: I expect all posts to be done very, very well. I'd like grammatical errors to be limited and spelling to be damn near perfect. If someone's writing is absolutely atrocious, I may request that he or she leave. Also, I'd like there to be at least 10+ lines per post (two+ paragraphs per post). It's difficult to play off of someone else when they only post less than that.
[♫] Boys May be Girls and Girls May Be Boys:: In other words guys may play girls or guys and girls may play girls and guys. I don't care what you play, just play it well.
[♫] Heterosexual Characters Only:: I'm all for homosexuality, bisexuality, and pan sexuality, but in this role play, I'd prefer that all characters be heterosexual just so I can keep track of things a bit more easily. Now, this doesn't mean that a girl can't cross dress or a guy can't, but I just want them to be heterosexual. Sorry.
[♫] One Per Person:: Please, only one character per person. If you want to play twins, I'm sorry, but I'd prefer one character per person so that it won't get so confusing.
[♫] Romance, Drama, and Fighting Allowed:: In all actuality, where would all the fun be if none of these things were allowed in the roleplay? Bear in mind that romance over the PG-13 limit (i.e. Cybering) is not allowed in the thread. I do not encourage it at all especially because these characters are of high school age; however, if it must happen, I will not suggest taking it to the PMs, but rather off the site altogether. A slight notion (after finishing) may be hinted in the posts afterward, so that we may know. As far as drama goes, don't be a drama queen. Don't start a conflict or a fight that isn't necessary or doesn't seem logical. What's the point of such a thing? For fighting, please do not godmode, puppeteer, control, or in anyway do anything to prevent a "fair" fight. No killing either unless the user and myself give consent (if one is killed then they will be leaving the character permanently, no ghosts).
[♫] Post profiles in the OOC:: Do not PM them to me... Well, you can, but I will probably ignore it. Post the profiles in the OOC so that EVERYONE can see them. Let people know what you've got.
[♫] You Better Wow Me:: I want to see that you want to join the role play. If you send me some profile that doesn't seem to be "amazing", then I honestly cannot see myself accepting you into the role play. I want something that'll stand out in a crowd.
[♫] Make Characters Realistic:: Okay, so the whole "it's a fairytale" academy makes it kind of hard, but make the characters themselves realistic. Sure a character may have lost a parent, but it's not like they would become a forest child and then somehow end up back in school or something. The storyline itself does take place in modern settings, so it's not like we have to fend for ourselves and such, it's more like... you were sent here. For what reason? Well there are plenty. Don't make your characters nonsensical; make sure they flow and work well with what is needed. By the way, I'd like you to state your original hair color (if it is dyed, tell me what the real hair color would be) and the hair length. YOUR hair color and hair length, not your characters. Post this at the bottom of your profile.
[♫] No Gary-Stu or Mary-Sues:: Everyone has their character flaws and their good points. No one, even a fairytale character, is good at everything. It's just that simple.
[♫] Anime/Drawn Images Only:: If you wish to use a picture, don't use images of real people. I'd prefer for you not to. That's just about it to this rule, aside from "only one image per person".
[♫] Stay Active:: Please post at least three times a week. If you want to leave the roleplay please PM me and inform me of this. To add to this rule, I don't want there to be a "doubles posting", where two people just go back and forth because they are both online at the same time. I hate catching up and undoubtedly other people do too.
[♫] Fairytales or Stories:: As far as fairytales go, I'm up for almost anything aside from things such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or something in that same sort of area. I'd much rather not have that kind of thing in my roleplay. If you're unsure, please, just post in the OOC thread and ask. I'd be more than willing to assist.
[♫] Fonts and Styles:: Alright, this is pretty much more of a personal preference to me, but I still count it as a rule. Actually, no scratch that, it has to happen. All text in the thread must be size 10 or 11. The colors, I could care less, but make sure it's tasteful and not blindingly bright.
[♫] Human Characters Only:: This rule, I think makes sense. The characters, despite the fact that they can become fairytale characters, are human in their normal form. There are no characters who are nekos, anthros, demons, or the like unless that is what their fairytale character is like, in which case it is only the fairytale character that is allowed to be any of these things.
[♫]Obey My Second in Command:: This rule is new. In an attempt to prevent the problem that killed this RP the last time around, I am going to have a second in command. He or she will have the power to approve profiles, and, by the same token, send people back to the drawing board if he or she feels profiles aren’t up to par. If I am gone for an extended period of time, he or she will take complete charge of the RP, at which time he or she will chose his or her own second in command. This way, those applying to the RP with hopefully never be left without some means to get in.
[♫] No magical changes in appearance:: These are fairytale characters, or at least, they're kids learning how to be fairytale characters. Some of them are going to develop magical abilities, eventually. That said, unless your fairytale character has the power to change their appearance, they are not going to be able to magically shift from their everyday selves to their fairytale personas. Any changes between the two have to be accomplished through tricks of make-up, acting, or special effects.

<---------A N [ A C A D E M I C ] F A I R Y T A L E::. L O N G || L O N G || A G O Fairytale characters, every one has heard of them, seen them, or even listened to them(in books and the like). They live on in our hearts, in our minds, and in almost every aspect of our lives. There are those who envy them, who wish they could become them, and some even go to such great lengths as dressing up as said characters. Known by almost all and familiarized by a certain few, there is no way that Fairytale characters could ever change, or ever will, right?
Wrong.
All fairytale characters are constantly changing, although it is almost impossible for any one person to tell, or any mere "mortal" to tell. Every time a fairytale character dies off, they are soon replaced. Whenever one retires, they are replaced. Whenever... well, you get the drift. It happens constantly; a fairytale character is replaced with someone who is almost a duplicate, but slightly different, as stories are always changing. Every time, though, one thing stays the same; they are still people, and they are still characters from tales told to children.
I told you they are replaced, right? Ha. Funny story behind that.
Well, as one knows, at least now as one knows, normal people replace a fairytale character. How are the people chosen, how are they even trained for their positions? Well, it's quite simple. Ever After Academy, the school for fairytale characters. It sounds rather ridiculous, but it is true. The students are chosen almost at random, except of course, for one common interest. Usually the characters bare at least one common characteristic of the character they are to replace.
Well, about the school itself.
At Ever After Academy, the staff is a well-trained group. Former fairy tale characters, mostly, who have been taught to mentor the students into their own storybook roles. Meanwhile, there are enemies, loves, and the like written in; it's a high school after all, and of course not everything is as simple as "Happily Ever After". Among the students, set prejudices are almost enforced to a tee. Say, one girl happens to turn out to be an "Ugly" stepsister, and another is Cinderella. Teachers and other staff seem to enjoy encouraging mutual hatred between the two. In some cases, it does happen, while in others they may just become the best of friends… or the "Ugly" one may end up being the most beautiful girl of all.
Now, at the school, the students are currently trying to live life, as it were. Gaining new abilities and new fairy tale powers, some not to their liking, but others, such as Peter Pan's ability to fly, of course, very enjoyable indeed.
Currently, the school seems to be experiencing certain 'difficulties', nothing too serious, aside from students arriving and the like. Certain students, it seems, are starting to stir and try to revolt against the ingrained prejudices. Others are trying to encourage them, while others, quite simply could not care less. There has been no real conflict that has happened yet, but it seems that hot blood is beginning to stir.
The staffs reaction to this has been toforce some of the more vocal students into their fairytale characters at times that seem almost pointless (of course, times apart from the "character practice" class). It seems there has been talk, recently, of a riot going through the grounds.
The students, it seems, may never be able to live to see their happily after all.
Considering that the school is a high school, no story is ever set in stone.
Teachers are NPC'd.

There's more that you ought to know. Honestly.
You see, as students come to the school, they soon realize what happens. Well, quite simply they aren't allowed to speak with former friends, family, or anything. It's just that they just can't. The school makes this obvious after the student's first week of schooling (in their freshman year).
Never again are they allowed to return home. The only memories they are allowed are those that they brought with them, and although they are allowed to write their homes, the students are never allowed to speak of what goes on in the school. Though… it really wouldn’t matter if they did; all letters are screened by the E.A. staff, but that is just the little bit of business that the students don't know about.

<---------T H E [S C H O O L] G R O U N D S L O O K || O V E R || C A R E F U L L Y The school itself is large, spacious, and perfect to accommodate the needs for any one person, creature, or other type of being. Though the school caters to humans, it is built to also cater to the fairytale/nursery rhyme side of every one being, as they don't wish for there to be a child who just happens to accidentally get swept away by a sudden gust of wind while they are practicing their flying lessons and the like. The school also boasts of its security and secrecy, and seeing as it hasn't really been discovered for the past couple hundred years, they are obviously doing something right.

The school is hidden in a rather deep, dark, and "scary" forest (it's a rather cliché place to hide a hidden school, but no one really dares to venture in. Weird). Well, the forest isn't technically scary, dark, or quite deep; actually it's just enchanted (another cliché, but hell they seem to be popping up everywhere now-a-days). To continue, the school is hidden in the deep, not-so-deep, forest. A single dirt path way seems to lead to the main part of the school. Trees line the outer part of it, and the branches reach downward toward whomever passes in an eerie sort of fashion. It's not meant to scare students, but rather warn them of what is ahead.
After the first few miles along the main path, there are three separate pathways that branch off in different directions, but all end up in the same place. In any sense, it doesn't really matter which path one takes, but it just depends on how quickly one wishes to get to their destination. The first path, to the left, looks quite similar to the original pathway; however, it is smaller and seems to narrow down into an almost "one-foot-after-another" sort of way. This path, although is quite honestly one of the oddest, is the fastest.
The center pathway is a large and thick path, with no trees line the sides, instead sporting rather rocks and stunted shrubbery. This path way has many twists, turns, and even a loop (one dares not question how a loop would have gotten into the pathway in the first place). Although, the scenery around it is not quite nice, it is the most serene and peaceful of all three of the pathways. The ones who do tend to go down this pathway seem to take a medium length of time (not short, not long).
The pathway to the right is the only pathway that truly looks "haunted". Dead trees, burnt patches of grass, and scorched rocks line the sides of this path. The longest and by far, the most frightening of the three paths, not much is said about it aside from it being the scariest, as few truly wish to venture down it.

At the end of the three pathways, they join once more, and soon it looks once more like the original path, making the three way split almost completely pointless. The pathway itself leads to two large gate doors, the left one with a cursive E written onto it, and the right one with a capital A; both of the letters are written in a funky font, with an odd, rather mystic looking swirl around it and a crown atop it all. The gates seem to appear out of nowhere from an enormous hedge, which seems to be roughly twenty-feet high and just about fifteen feet thick. The gates slowly open with a creek, and soon the actual school grounds and the front of the building seem to shine through.
The school itself is blocked off from everything via a large moat, the hedges, and the gates as well. It's reinforced, and with a little bit of enchanted "magic" it manages to go unseen.

<---------T H E [L I V I N G] Q U A R T E R S L O O K || O V E R || T H I S Deep inside the corridors of the school and past the center courtyard, there are two hallways that divide the living quarters. It isn't divided by anything in particular, just two different hallways.
To the right are the "red dorms" (RD 1-5). Each bedroom is spacious and adorned with two full-sized beds (on the opposite sides of one another). All bedrooms have two glass sliding doors, as well as a balcony, which will allow them to see their red dorm counterparts. From where one enters, there are two closets, one on the right and left side of a small hallway. Each closet gives enough space to hang a substantial amount of clothing. To the side, (closest to the sliding glass doors) are two drawers, one for each of the roommates. The flooring of the dorm room is a simple white carpet, soft to the touch, but nothing like shag.
The blue dorms (BD 1-5) are almost exactly the same, excepting the fact that everything is reversed.

Click - As of right now, I'm allowing Nursery Rhymes to be used as well. This may be a bit more difficult as most don't really refer to human-like characters, but some do and those that don't could be crafted to do so. This may take a bit more of a skillful hand to craft into a character of their own. Anyways, here you are.
Click - This is yet another link to the original RP. Why? Because I honestly think you should take a look, of course. The accepted profiles and surrounding chatter will give you a pretty solid idea of what I'm looking for.

How I Normally Look
Anya stands at five feet even and has fair skin and big brown eyes. Most people seeing her would likely overlook her, as she tends to diminish herself even further by not standing straight and almost constantly looking at the floor. Her hair is fairly long, straight, and a mousy brown in color. She prefers keeping it tied up and out of the way, but the cut is layered, and the shorter layers often crowd her face, making her even more mousy looking. When you do see her face, it's kind-looking and is often smiling softly.
Anya's face is heart-shaped, and is dominated by her wide bown eyes, under thin eyebrows that don't arch much. Her skintone is a bluish white, like skim milk (her father was fond of calling it 'Fish Belly White'), and is clear and unblemished, except for the occasional pimple along her hairline, or around her nose. Speaking of her nose, it's a Roman nose, of medium size, and curving just the slightest bit to the left. Her mouth is small, and almost dainty, but the lips are full, and slightly lopsided, because of a small scar she got when she was very young.
Anya's short, yet curvy figure makes finding clothing a challenge. When she does find something, she prefers loose, modest clothing in neutral colors. Her style tend towards the bland, but it's pretty enough on her. As far as jewelry goes, she likes silver or pearl over gold, but above all, she prefers it to be small and unobtrusive. She rarely, if ever, wears make-up.
Fairytale Appearance
Vasilisa is described as "exceedingly fair. So fair of face, and body, as that no man could describe, or even imagine, such fairness." That being said, As Vasilisa, Anya undergoes a lot of makeup work. First, she is sprayed down with sunless tanner to give her more of a peaches and cream sort of color, rather than Anya's 'I have never gone outside in my life' complexion. Then, her mousy brown hair is tucked under a gorgeous golden wig that falls in graceful waves down to her hips.
Her eyebrows are plucked, something Anya hates, to give them more of an arch, and makeup is used extensively, including colored contacts to turn her boring brown eyes into twin pools of a golden green color. She is then shoved into a corset that is laced tight, and platformed heels are put on her feet that add four measley inches to her height. Anya has had to practice wearing heels, since she almost never wore them before coming to school.
Her style of dress also undergoes dramatic changes when she becomes her fairytale self. Vasilisa is nearly always a princess, usually the daughter of the Sea King, and her clothing reflects that. Her dress is made of fine skyblue silk and is embroidered with silver thread. Silver petticoats peek out from below the hem. The bodice of it is silver and is ribbed to make her stand straight. Underneath everything is a simple cotton shift, which may sound incongruous with the rest of her ornate outfit, but figures into one of the Vasilisa tales.
In a different tale, she is forced to wear a polyeurythane frog suit, and go hopping about on all fours for the first part of it. The frog suit is very realistically done with bumps along the frog's back and everything, and when she's not inside it, and has to look at it, Anya finds it creepy. She sees by looking out of the frog's mouth, although her vision is obscured by the suit.

How I am
Anya is a basically good person. She does her schoolwork, follows directions well, and she doesn't talk back much. In fact, she doesn't talk much at all. Mostly, she's quiet, and hangs out on the fringes. It's not that she likes her own company, although she does, it's more that she's unsure of how to react to people. If life were a party, She'd be the girl sitting by the cheese dip, waiting to be asked to dance.
She tries to do what she thinks is right when she can, but she's not a saint. She can be petty and mean, just like everyone else. Unlike her fairytale self, she's not always nice, and she's rarely so proactive. Vasilisa rescues herself and Ivan, the Tzar's son. Anya is more likely to curl up and weep in the corner until someone comes to get her. Not only that, but she doesn't think she's that clever. After all, her character is called Vasilisa the Wise, and Anya doesn't think she's that smart.
In one of the Vasilisa stories, she spends the first part of it as a frog. As much as Anya dislikes the finery she has to wear to be a princess, she hates being a frog more. About the only good thing that can be said for that story is that, while she's a frog, she doesn't have to wear high heels.
Anya spends her time reading the Vasilisa stories, not to study, but just because she enjoys them. She also loves music, especially happy pop songs. When she's alone she will sometimes sing to herself. Her voice isn't exactly going to let her win American Idol, but it's decent; she can sing on key. She also loves to draw, and can often be seen toting around a well-worn sketchbook.
How I came to be
Anya is the youngest child and only daughter of two Russian immigrants. When she was small, her father used to tell her many stories from his homeland. Her favorite was always the one about the fool who found a magic fish that granted his every wish. She always thought that one was very funny, and since then has refused to eat seafood. When she was very small, she even asked her father to take her fishing so that she could have a chance to catch the fish herself.
However, as she grew older, one of the characters, Vasilisa, became her personal hero. She admired Vasilisa's wit and bravery, and appreciated the idea of a princess that rescued the prince. Vasilisa's beauty, too, served as an aspiration for a girl who thought herself palin and more often than not had to make do with her brothers' hand-me-downs.
Luckily, Anya's mother was a dab hand at sewing, and refused to let her daughter walk around in ill-fitting or boyish clothing. Anya may not have been able to wear designer labels, but she was never the worst dressed person in school. Anya has inherited her mother's skill with the needle, although she does not enjoy sewing as much as her mother does.
Most of Anya's childhood passed with her trying, and failing, to keep pace with her older brothers. She has three brothers, Dmitri, Grigor, and, ironically enough, Ivan. Anya loves all of her brothers, but Dmitri, the youngest of the three has always been her favorite, probably because they are so close in age. She cried her first few weeks of school, because she missed him so much. Although, whe she realized who her character was, she felt a lot less homesick.
At school, she tends towards being a tomboy, and doesn't have very many girlfriends. She just feels more at ease around guys, because of her brothers, mostly. The other reason is that she's always been 'one of the guys'. Until now, that never seemed to bother her, but lately... Well, she's just tired of being overlooked, although whenever she is noticed, she tends to turn dangerously pink and babble incoherently.
At least, when she graduates, she'll never be overlooked again. She tries very hard to be just like her character. Not just to be noticed, or to do well, but because she wants to make her hero proud of her, and because she thinks maybe she could be someone else's hero in this way.

Anya is a bit of a paradox. She wants to stand out, but she also wants to deflect attention. She's pretty self conscious. .::Smorgasmorgan::.((My natural hair color is a dark, ashy blond, but I dyed it red about a year and a half ago, which makes for an interesting effect. It's layered, and reaches my shoulderblades at its longest point, and I have what my friends affectionately call 'emo bangs', which means my bangs touch my nose.))
