Thanks, but I think everyone does better when they only have one character to worry about.

Ahh, okay. I was just getting a bit worried. Yes, it is feeling lonely, but at least everyone accepted is still around after almost a month of waiting.

    Fifteen Years

I am of the
    Male Gender

I'm staying in dorm number
    Blue Five

I'm currently enrolled in grade number

c o l o r m e p r e t t y

How I Normally Look
Charlie is a pretty ordinary looking guy. His only distinguishing feature seems to be that he has no distinguishing features. He's exactly the sort of person that blends into the background. He is of middling height for his age, standing just shy of 5'7", and weighing in around one hundred fifty pounds. His skin is a medium shade, neither tanned, nor excessively pale. His hair is a dark brown, nearly black in color, and likewise, his eyes are dark as well.

His preferred style of clothing is a laid-back sort of look; comfortable, loose and baggy without being too messy looking. This casual style further adds to his ability to be unremarkable. He favors plain t-shirts and faded jeans. He often wears a leather jacket handed down to him from his father. It looks old an worn, but it is very warm, and, like the rest of his clothing, quite comfortable. His hair is kept neat, and a little long. At least, longer than he would have been allowed at home.

His face is pleasant, but blank as a peeled potato. While he isn't ugly, he's not particularly good looking either. He's usually smiling, and his brown eyes are kind. He isn't exactly handsome, but he isn't disfigured or ugly either. He has a fresh, wholesome quality to him that speaks of his upbringing. He carries himself well, standing straight, and walking with a sort of military bearing.

Fairytale Appearance
Charlie has three costumes in his story. The first is that of a discharged soldier. For that part he wears a bit of rusted and worn armor over dirty peasant clothes. The parts of the armor that aren't rusty are made of iron, and are polished to a silvery color. He doesn't have a full suit of armor, only one shoulder guard, a breastplate, bracers, and greaves. The peasant's outfit underneath is faded, and mostly gray, but patched with colorful fabric in places. The outfit looks natural on him, like he was born to wear it. An old, but well-cared for sword hangs at his side. The sword is alo made of iron, and the sheath is leather. The hilt of the sword is just a simple crosspiece and the pommel is bound in leather the same color as the sheath.

The second costume is that of a dirty, old beggar. A false beard is glued to his face, and his hair is covered with a smelly, manky old wig. He even has to wear fake fingernails in this guise. His clothing is rougher even than the peasant's suit he wore before. The rags are tattered, torn and dirty, and to top it off, he has to wear a bear's pelt, hence his fairytale name. The whole ensemble is rather disgusting to behold, and Charlie doesn't like wearing it very much.

The final costume is that of a fine gentleman. He feels slightly ridiculous in this costume, but at least it's clean. He wears clean, white, silk stockings and fine woolen breeches that are charcoal gray in color. His dress shirt is white, and his vest is the same color as his pants under a crimson waistcoat made of velvet. On top of his immaculately groomed hair is a fine, black, felt tricorn hat. This outfit also includes a sword, but instead of the simple and unadorned short sword from before, it is an ornate and well-crafted rapier.

How I am
Charlie is a fairly relaxed and friendly sort of guy. He's quiet and keeps to himself a lot of the time, but he's definitely not shy. Charlie is always willing to help someone out, or talk to someone who looks lonely or out of place, so he has plenty of friends. He's the happy-go-lucky type, but he somehow achieves a chipper attitude without being hyper, annoying or temperamental. It takes a lot for him to get wound up or lose his temper; so you could say he has a long fuse. However, when that fuse does finally burn all the way down, the explosion is tremendous. Anyone who makes him that angry would do well to steer clear of him for a couple of days afterwards.

Because of his long fuse, he tends to hold grudges as well. Once someone sets him off, he can take a long time to act normal around them again. And, if someone rubs him the wrong way one too many times, Charlie will forego the nice guy routine and be antagonistic right back at them. Even when he's angry at someone, he doesn't generally look for confrontation, unless he's really pissed. However, he was taught not to back down on the important things, so he's definately not a pushover. He's got into exactly three fistfights before in his life. Twice because someone was teasing his sister, once because the other guy called his girlfriend a name ringht in front of him. However, whenever it's possible he tries other tactics besides outright confrontation. He's a terrible brown-noser, and he'll snitch on people who aren't his friends in a heartbeat.

Charlie was raised to respect women, and he's chivalrous to a fault. He would never so much as raise his voice to a woman, no matter how she provoked him. He also goes out of his way to open doors for them, and things like that. Twice he's had to walk in the rain because he lent his umbrella to a girl. He's also a sucker for a pretty face. In fact, his first girlfriend kept 'borrowing' money she never gave back, and when he couldn't give her anything else, she broke up with him. Still, he believes in things like true love and soul mates, and maintains an optimistic outlook on romance in general.

How I came to be
Charlie was born the eldest of two children. He has a younger sister called Annabelle who is a year an a half younger than he is. His father is an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and most of his childhood was spent moving from base to base whenever his father was reassigned. He's lived in some pretty interesting places, like England, Hawaii, New York and Texas among others. His favorite was the six months they spent in Okinawa, Japan. Unlike a lot of military families, Charlie's dad was always very present in their lives.

In fact, Charlie admired his dad so much, that when he was younger, he used to practice standing and walking the same way his father did. The crisp military mannerisms stuck, seemingly at odds with his relaxed personality. Now he always looks like he should be in uniform, even when he's just standing around. Charlie has always wanted to join the Marines and be a soldier just like his father. He has a deep interest in all things military, and even has a few of the plastic army men he played with as a child tucked away in his things.

Eventually, his parents realized that moving around so much wasn't doing much good for Charlie and Annabelle's grades. The decided that a boarding school would be best for them, so they wouldn't have to change schools every time the family had to move. After lots of research, phone calls and campus visits, Anabelle got accepted to an all-girls school in the States. Obviously, Charlie couldn't go with her, and he was about to apply to an all-boy military school when he got the offer from EAA. This is his second year at Ever After Academy.

s o m e o t h e r i n f o r m a t i o n

There's something else you ought to know
Charlie is a little disappointed that he can't follow in his father's footsteps, but he's happy that at least his character is an old soldier.

How I Normally Look
To be frank, almost everything about Edward gives off the air of the average "tall, dark, and handsome". He stands at six feet exactly, with a fairly slim build to match, though he is not so skinny as to seem awkwardly built. He has fair skin and short, seemingly unkept, dark brown hair. His handsome brown eyes act as deep pools to his soul. And yet, on many occasions, they seem to gloss over, becoming fairly dull in color, whenever he is in deep thought, giving the facade that he is never really paying attention to the reality that is presented to him.

His face is rather thin, and, as claimed by many, always seems to carry a very pensive and thoughtful countenance. His eyes are the stereo-typical, narrow asian eyes, and sit a fair distance below thin, slightly curved eyebrows. His medium-sized nose seems to complement his face, but is rather pointed, which gives off an air of snootiness. He rarely smiles, his mouth almost constantly in a sort of frown, having already created very slight wrinkles near the edges of his lips. Catching him smile is a rather rare thing, and is usually only seen when he is playing as the Cheshire Cat.

Edward does not have very broad shoulders, but they seem to be proportionate to his body. It is said that Edward has a very proper posture, having been raised in a fairly high-class family. When he walks, he seems to have an aura about him that makes people feel inferior to him, and often times his fellow students think of him as arrogant and stuck-up. He rarely looks at the ground, and rather, keeps his eyes forward when he is walking, and focused on a person when he is carrying a conversation.

As stated before, his build, although slim, is fitting for a young man his age. He is athletic in the sense that he swims, runs, and plays tennis, although he has rarely had the chance to do any since being at Ever After Academy. He does try to get out, however, so as to stay in shape and relieve the stress he experiences during his days. The softness of Edward's hands reveal that he does not do much outdoor work, but rather, he has the hands of a musician, nails on both neatly trimmed. Only the tips of his left hand are calloused due to his guitar and violin playing. Other than this, he plays the piano, and he has long fingers and a fluid motion to prove it.

As for clothing, Edward sticks to wearing very classy, form-fitting clothes. He normally dawns long-sleeved, button-down, collared shirts, with the top two or three buttons undone... Depending on his mood that day, for if he is feeling a bit more out-going, he will leave three undone; If he feel more proper, two. He wears the occasional, loosely done neck tie, and if not this, then a scarf. Over the shirt he wears a coat of some sort, whether it be his light-weight, black blazer or his heavier black peacoat, depending on the weather. For bottoms, he never shows his boxers, as he's seen many guys do and believes it to be rather rude and "pig-like". Instead, he wears nicely fitted black slacks with a belt. And no, he never tucks his shirts in, for he believes it to be a tacky thing to do, unless going to a job interview. On his feet, which are at the average size of 10, are either black dress shoes or very clean, black converses, once again, depending on the playfulness of his mood.

Fairytale Appearance
When playing the Cheshire Cat, Edward rather enjoys his fairly stylish costume. For his hair, he adds in a non-permanent, bright purple dye. He also wears a headband that has a pair of purple cat ears on it. He attaches fairly realistic looking hair along the sides of his face, in the same shade of the bright purple color that his hair-dye is. This makes it look as if he has thick side-burns. He then follows up by the painting the area just above his cheek bones, curving to include his eyes and his nose, in the bright purple color. However, the bottom area of his face is painted with a lighter shade of purple. He then glues on black whiskers, and after, drops a certain brand of eye drops into his eyes that turn the whites of his eyes a strange yellow-ish color. Added to this are stunning purple contacts that make his eyes seem to almost pop out of his head. He also smiles, revealing a pair of fangs that he places in whenever he is performing.

On his body, he dawns a fairly loose, long-sleeve, turtle neck that is colored with bright purple and light purple stripes, colors that match those that he has on his face and in his hair. Matching the shirt are slacks that have the same exact pattern. Both items of clothing are loosely fitted and allow for him to breathe and move around in. On his hands and feet he wears light purple gloves and socks, over which he pulls on very cute looking paws, which he has practiced with and masted so that he can work with them just as easy as he could with gloves. Around his neck, he wears a dark purple collar on which hangs a golden colored bell that chimes whenever he makes a slight movement. Lastly, he has a rather fluffy tail that he attaches to his person, and, as everything else he wears, it is striped with a bright purple and a light purple.

And as we all know, the Cheshire Cat is infamous for disappearing when he is, perhaps, needed the most. Knowing this fact, Edward has made a cape, which stays hidden expertly behind him until needed. When it is time for the Cheshire Cat to begin his disappearing act, Edward pulls on the cape in such a way that causes him to disappear stripe by stripe, or even altogether. Edward, at times, even leaves his head, or maybe his tail still in view, but when the scene is done, the classic, crescent moon smile is left behind, which seems to magically fade off when he is finished with his performance, an art he has come to master within the years of his training for the part [[ he uses translucent fabrics to make the smile disappear ]].

y o u o u g h t t o k n o w

How I am
Though he may not be completely aware of it, Edward makes the first impression of being snotty and stuck-up. He carries an air of power and control about him, which he blames on his multi-millionaire parents. Often times he seems to talk down to people who are lower in class than him, and often gets into trouble by accidentally brushing people the wrong way and pushing the wrong buttons. His voice is faintly nonchalant and smooth, creating a kind of liquid-like tone, and is paired with a certain level of confidence. However, contrary to the way he comes off, Edward is very aware of the fact that he doesn't know everything, and in actuality, embraces that very concept of being taught something valuable and worthwhile. He is very serious when it comes to learning new things, and although he may not agree with some ideas, thoughts, and methods, he accepts them as possibilities and commits them to memory, so as to expand his knowledge. He does not, however, take lightly to ignorance and naivety. If something seems to be unworthy for his attention, he makes it known, sometimes calling people "silly" or "stupid" because they "lack the eyes to truly see the world and question it".

On that note, Edward loves philosophy. Of all the classes he took when he was attending a normal school, he fell completely in love with philosophy, and one philosopher in specific: Socrates. He was amazed by Socrates' way of questioning people to get to an answer. He loved the way that Socrates' seemed to spin his words and confuse people at times, causing them to question themselves. And ultimately, it was this style of question and answer that Edward picked up, and thus, made himself the perfect candidate for the Cheshire Cat of Alice and Wonderland. In the area of philosophy and questions, Edward becomes quite unlike the boy his mother and father raised... Rather, he is a completely different person. Rather than sticking with uniform conversation, he spins his words and those of others to ask and answer questions. Most of his thoughts are stated, but never finished, as if he is suffering a short-attention span. Sometimes he does this unknowingly in class, irritating teachers and students alike to the point of being asked to "politely leave until he has had time to think about the things he's said". But, don't get him wrong... He's a good student and does his work in a timely manner.

Outside of class, Edward seems to be very "to himself", only enjoying time with those people who can assist him in exercising his thoughts. In ways, he almost seems to be a loner in his own dream world, for he rarely makes conversation with people unless he is interested by something they are speaking of. Then again, when he does make conversation, he often times ends up scaring people off by the air of seriousness he carries about him, partnered with his yearning to find some sort of truth in life. But once again, this does not fully explain him. On rare occasions, he can sit and delight in the simplicities of life, often times sitting beneath a tree to "people-watch", as he calls it. He finds the human race to be interesting, and, although in his mind it is a dangerous characteristic, rather oblivious to the things that occur around them.

In short, Edward is a pensive character who delights in a game of question and answer. He loves the quest, the chase for knowledge. He is easily bemused by the more contrary and ironic things in life and, in ways, likes to perplex people with what he calls "active" conversation, opposed to dull and meaningless topics. He does not fully understand the concept of hurting people's feelings, for he believes that it will further their knowledge of the world, and therefore is a good thing. Rarely does he apologize for making someone cry because he was too "harsh" or "cold", but on rare occasions, he will admit that he was in the wrong. He seems very argumentative, but it is all friendly to him. he does not take offense easily, seeming to be more hardened to things that people say of him. And lastly, he is a bit of a loner.

How I came to be
Edward was born an only child to a Mrs. Misa Isabelle Phan, of Tokyo, Japan, and a Mr. James Lucas Betham, of London, England. Misa was an only child of a fairly upper class family, her father being a CEO of a large gaming industry. James, on the other hand, was the youngest of three boys. Although his brothers were strong-willed and intelligent, it was James who proved to his father that he could excel and grow, surpassing his brothers, and eventually taking over the family business after his father's death. It was through this passing of power that James met Misa, for the two families had been running a partnership for the past few years. It was a smart marriage, and the two had enough respect for one another to form a certain bond, though it was not true love.

Eventually, Misa bore a child, Edward James Betham, and the three of them lived in London for the most part of Edward's life, although they would travel to Tokyo to visit Edward's mother's side of the family every now and then. Edward's father continued to be head of his business, while his mother stayed home. Edward never understood the concept of poverty until he hit his teens, having been spoiled by his parents in order to keep him out of their way. It's not that Edwad's parents didn't love their son... They were just too busy. And so Edward had grown up knowing only that if he asked, he got. Also, being the son of such successful parents, he never truly had any friends his age. So, as a young boy, he would attend many business-related parties, and because of this, he became quite intelligent and articulate, well-mannered and gentlemanly. His parents would show him off to their friends, seemingly the only attention Edward ever really got.

Sticking to private academy's throughout his early years, his teachers were always concerned when it came to his social life, for he seemed to be content as a loner. Eventually, he became tired of the same old lectures of worry for him socially that he transferred to a different middle school. Here, he ended up meeting a lovely young girl in his class by the name of Natasha Victoire. The young girl intrigued him, for she was amazing, and yet she was part of the lower middle class, and Edward had always believed that one had to be rich in order to be anything or mean anything at all. Edward learned much from Natasha, getting closer and closer to her over the years. However, the young girl died of lukemia, something she had never told Edward about, and he was heartbroken. It had been in his eighth grade year, and he was going to ask Natasha to be his love... After all, Valentine's Day would have been perfect.

And so, the boy passed through the rest of his year in silence and alone once more. He was invited to join the Ever After Academy when he graduated middle school, and he accepted, thinking it would be less a waste of his time than normal high school drama. Edward excelled at acting as the Cheshire Cat, a character in the story Alice in Wonderland, and he took to the part quite nicely, enjoying the banterings of philosophy that he took part in.

s o m e o t h e r i n f o r m a t i o n

There's something else you ought to know
Edward loves music, and keeps to playing the more classical instruments: violin and piano. However, he does play a bit of guitar, though he doesn't play much, for his parents believe it to be a reckless instrument. He also enjoys a bit of dancing every now and then, for his parents made him take dancing classes when he was a young boy, learning the waltz, the foxtrot, salsa, argentinean tango, and the like.
