The Delmor Unity High School is a splendid place to have your dreams crushed by an egotistical teacher on a bright sunny day, or to smell the lovely scent of pot wafting through the vents from the bathrooms into a class. The well dressed female students line the halls like hookers clinging to their jock boyfriends. So I guess it's pretty much just like every other public high school in the world. "Dragon's Maw! Not World of Warcraft!" Josh called after Cait. He didn't know her very well, save that she lived in his neighborhood. He didn't really get out much these, days though. She could very well live right next door and he wouldn't know. But she was nice and had taken to nudging him when he inevitably nodded off in Spanish. The thought of that class sent a shudder up his spine. He usually wound up somewhere between Cait and Rowena, which was not unlike being between Hitler and Poland.
"Shoot! I forgot to put World War One on my timeline!" Josh suddenly exclaimed.
"I'm glad you remembered, but what does that have to do with my sister?" Penelope had been in the middle of relating the morning's events to Josh. She was surprised and slightly amused by his outburst, "Off in your own little world again?"
"Yeah, sorry. I'm just dreading class with-"
"How dare you! My coffee!"
"-Rowena." Josh and Penelope searched for the source of the sound and moved behind a group of freshmen to get a better view. The underclassmen were a perfect hight; tall enough that Josh and Penelope didn't stick out, yet short enough that the two still got a near perfect view as the scene rapidly fell apart.
"Josh..." Penelope looked over at Josh and saw a gleam in his eye that she instantly recognized. It was the same gleam he had whenever he told one of his hero stories. It was also had a habit of appearing right before he did something outlandishly stupid.
"I just wanna..." Josh's frustration was obvious as he struggled for words, "Like tackle her or something."
"Yeah, she's pretty hot," One of the freshmen turned back to Josh. "I wouldn't mind 'tackling' her myself."
"What? Rowena?" Josh shook his head violently, "Dude, she must have like thirteen species of herpies!" Suddenly Josh realized two very important facts: the first being the sudden silence in the hall and the second being the volume at which he said that last sentence.

"How dare you insult my character! I don't have Herpes!" Rowena shoved Jay off of her and marched over to the edge of the circle that had crowded around them. "Who Said that!? Who dares to insult my character! I am a pure girl and I would never do anything half as vile!" Snickers erupted from the crowd at the thought of Rowena being a "pure girl". Everyone knew she'd been down on her knees for half the football team. Jay knelt down next to Cait. "Hey, what happened? Can you breathe?" Cait tried not to sniffle through her nose as she wept. "I'm having a hard time seeing..." She shook a little and was bleeding down her shirt, "I think i'm gonna pass out..." Jay wrapped her arm around Cait's waist and helped her to her feet. "We have to get you into the bathroom to stop the bleeding if we can."

"Herpies? Who said anything about herpies?" Josh struggled visibly to BS his way out of Rowena's wrath. "I was talking about... Umm.. Harpies! Yeah, for my mythology class! You know, they come in twelve or thirteen species in the great myth of... Umm..." "Hey, Rowena," Penelope cut in. "We were just wondering why, exactly you hate Cait so much. I mean we've all heard the rumor about her stealing Chad Jockingsly from you, but let's be serious. Looking at you and her..." Penelope kept her voice even, a trick learned from her sister, " Well, she'd have to be a bigger whore than you to get him interested in her. I just don't think that's possible."

Rowena stopped for a second. No one had ever before questioned her hatred of Cait. The rumors were, of course, not true. She'd never give away what had really happened. Rowena smirked with a lie, "Who do you think you are, tramp? Why do you think I hate her? Because she's a pauper just like you!" The truth was far more complicated. In truth, Rowena and Cait had once been best friends. Until Cait got smart, and Rowena got pretty, then, as things often do, things changed once they got to middle school. Cait continued trying to be a good friend to Rowena, but she had new friends now. And she had an image to keep up, she couldn't be seen talking to drivel like the middle-class Cait. She had to look good in front of her rich friends. Finally they began to drift apart, until Rowena decided she needed help in school. Knowing Cait, she humbly went to her for help. She made Cait swear to tell no-one, and with help she aced the year. "And you! If you insult me again, you pasty wimp, I'll tell everyone here what a wuss you are!" Rowena pointed a finger at Josh and shoved one of the freshman for good measure. There was never too small a display of power. Rowena was in charge, it helped her get whatever she wanted. There wasn't anything in the world that would keep her from being on top. Even in middle school, when Cait had still come out on top of Rowena in class, she humiliated Cait in front of everyone. Cait was currently dating her first boyfriend, Chad Jockingsly, and they were so adorable it made people vomit when they walked down the hall together. Rowena was, naturally, the prettiest girl in school. She normally wouldn't have paid attention to Chad, but she made an exception. She seduced Chad and convinced him to leave Cait. Since then, Rowena had been making Cait's life a hell, but Cait refused to be kept in her place. It was a problem Rowena now had in mind to fix once and for all. Cait had to be dealt with before graduation. She had to understand her place with all the other vagabonds on Delmor. Cait and everyone else at DUHS had to understand that Rowena was in charge, and always would be.

<<< Profile Lindsay Morris hastened into DUHS upon seeing the gaggle of interested students around a scene that just screamed "catfight." Oh my God, I wonder what happened anyway... this had better be just a plain old fight, if something weird is going on here (which I certainly don't doubt, this IS Delmor), I'm beyond not in the mood to go doing The Charge work this early in the morning. Oh, good, it's just a regular fight. Aw, great, Bitchlet and Cait are fighting. I don't know Cait much, but she seems to be the one in worse condition... besides, anyone who would stand up to that snob deserves a medal, Lindsay thought as she walked toward the scene, darting through the crowd around the fight to assess the scene. A small puddle of blood and espresso reached her eye as Lindsay got closer. "Out of the way, Princess Whine-a-lot," Lindsay scoffed at Rowena with the utmost contempt as she reached the scene once she broke through the crowd, hoping that she could at least . It seemed that not many people actually truly liked Rowena because of her shrewish personality, but Lindsay did have to give it to Rowena that between a large dose of Daddy's Money and what charisma Rowena did possess to cover up the nasty wretch that happened to lie beneath the pretty exterior, she did have a large quantity of followers. She truly wondered who of those followers wasn't just trying, in their own way, to use Rowena and/or get a bit of her father's money. So, in summary, at least in Lindsay's mind, Rowena was an entity who someone either loved, hated, or, as in the case of, she supposed, about ninety percent of the DUHS population, pretended to love her while looking away conveniently from what really happened. Lindsay, thanks to several classes where she had seen the bad side of Rowena, was part of the hated her and had no reason to even pretend to like her minority. Besides, even if Lindsay did want to try to exploit Rowena, she was far too busy between home, school, and work as The Charge to even bother. "Do you two need help?" Lindsay asked, offering an arm in the chance event that Cait might need more help than Jay could give her. Given Jay's athletic physique, it was doubtful, but Lindsay figured that offering help, however useless, was better than standing there like a dolt.

"No, that's okay, I think I can-" "Jay, I'm feeling a little sleepy..." Cait's body went limp in Jay's arms, and Jay struggled to keep her upright without smashing her head into the linoleum floors. "Lindsay, can you go get me some papertowels? Please?!" Jay was getting frantic. Being unconcious and bleeding from the face was a bad combination. Jay struggled to slowly lower cait to her knees while still supporting her head. It was way harder than it looked. The pair was completely oblivious to Rowena's namecalling for the moment (Cait due to her obvious unconciousness, and Jay due to her preoccupation with making sure Cait didn't die). "Where is the administration?" Jay mumbled angrily. If they would jut buck up and stand up to Rowena like they should, this whole thing could have been avoided. But they were under her spell too, and there was no way they'd be on the side of Jay and Cait if they finally did get there. Jay lowered Cait down to the floor to lay on her stomach. It was important that Cait didn't bleed into her stomach or lungs while she was out, or she'd throw up and cause more problems. Jay put her books under Cait's feet so she'd regain conciousness faster pinched cait's nose until Lindsay got back with papertowels. The situation was getting very very bad... Cait would have to be moved outside the gathering circle, but that was impossible. It was only a matter of time before Rowena started paying attention to the two of them again...

Rebecca paused as she walked past the scene... normally she didn't pay much attention to commotions in the hallway. They happened, but they didn't really affect her very much... except it was hard to ignore the blood. She might not have had much use for her peers, but Rebecca wasn't the sort of person to pretend nothing was happening when someone was in pretty obvious need of medical attention. She silently approached one of the boys staring and tapped him on the shoulder. "Get the nurse before she dies." The boy jumped, looked at Rebecca's flat stare and impassive face, and went to do as she said. Slipping through the press of bodies, Rebecca looked around at the actual participants... the only one she recognized was Rowena, but then everyone knew who Rowena was. The girl helping the bleeder seemed to know first aid. "What can I do to help?"

"You know, it's funny that you would be calling anyone a tramp. As far as I know, you're the only one who got tricked into giving the Math Team captain a blow job your freshman year." Penelope was getting a little cocky and, far worse, a little careless. Still, Rowena had shown a special place in her heart for tormenting those who kept to themselves. Penelope actually didn't mind the Math captain, but she knew Rowena was totally mortified of the whole event. "Does Eugene still call you, at least?" The crowd had split now, one circle around Cait and one around Rowena and Penelope. Josh, too, found the freshmen rapidly pulling away from him. For a moment, he thought about retreating to the circle. But he couldn't leave Penelope to face Rowena alone. So, instead, he reached for Penelope's arm to try and drag her off. As he was about to, a commotion went up from the circle around Cait. Josh realized they had to keep Rowena occupied. So he dropped his arm and tried to look like he wasn't afraid of getting caught in the middle of a cat fight.

s**t, this is bad..."Paper towels. Got it!" Lindsay uttered as she broke into a run, finally stopping right in front of the paper towel dispenser in the nearest girls' bathroom. She pressed the lever until her knuckles turned white, then finally ripped off the long train of hardly-absorbent brown paper towels from the sidpenser, wadded them up, and returned to the scene, dropped the paper towels next to Jay, and uttered, "I'll be right back. I'm going to see if I can either get help or at least some decent paper towels." With that, Lindsay hurried down the hallways yet again, shoving aside interested throngs of people to get to the closest classroom she could find. Luckily, she ended up in one of the science rooms, so there were paper towels everywhere in the lab. Seeing that there was no one in the room, she hastily scrawled "Need paper towels. Badly. Must clean up blood from fight. Will return what's left soon," on a piece of paper and left it on the table in the front as she grabbed two good rolls of decent paper towels. Lindsay was already trying to return to the scene, angrily chewing out anyone who stood in her way. This was not a good morning, and therefore it made her bad mood worse... She'd deal with apologizing later. Lindsay handed over the good paper towels. "I grabbed these from Science B... They're better than what was in the dispenser. Just tell me what to do next, I don't want to get in the way unless you ask me to."

(Last post at the Museum Really Recent Stuff) James continued in close pursuit of the three armed men. They gave him a good run and James didn't know when it would end until he saw the school slowly coming closer and closer in the distance. James suddenly knew what they were doing. 'They are going for the school! They are gonna try and take cover in a school filled with teenagers!' DUHS was in for one hell of a morning! The armed men made it to the front doors, threw their black masks off, shoved their guns into their pants, took off their black tops and revealed very stylish shirts underneath. James came to another conclusion. 'Oh my God! They planned this all along. Their destination was the school since the beginning!'"In the name of the law!" James yelled. "I beg of you... STOP!" The men didn't listen though, and ran into the school. They were going to blend in with the students there and from that, make their escape! James Cross followed the men and entered the school, but his following plans were instantly foiled. Right when James walked into the school, he was met by two huge groups of students. One group was staring at a verbal fight going on between one weird looking girl and one particularly bitchy looking girl and the other group was gaping at a girl who was face down bleeding profusely. James looked this why and that. Had the men done this? Or was this just some random school fight he had just walked in on? In any case, he couldn't let the men escape, nor could he just let this bleeding girl keep bleeding. Looking for the men once more, James decided to do what his gut told him to. He would just have to worry about the men later. James ran into the middle of the scene and saw another girl tending to her. This had to be one of her friends. He bent down to the bleeding girl and looked at her supposed friend. "Excuse me..." James said. "My name is James Cross. I am with the Delmor Police Department. What happened here and is there anything I can do to help?"

Oh, thank God, someone other than another student (and geez, there aren't even that many people who aren't just gawking...) over here to help... But what's a DPD officer doing here at DUHS? He's not one of the security officers... Lindsay wondered, sighing a small sigh of relief. "Jay, what do you need me to do while you explain this mess to Mr. Cross?" she asked, hoping it was actually something she could do and not screw up. Until Lindsay got an answer, she tried to think of what to do other than find more paper towels.
