Scarlett nodded lightly as Lark accepted her proposal of business and worked on entering her number to send that text. Once Scarlett's communicator buzzed, she set about adding Lark's contact information while the sky pirate inquired if Cheria was ready to go. The deerling eyed blond agreed, suggesting they start moving before all of the crystal shards were picked off. Though, when she offered to wait outside, she struggled with Scarlett's lack of a name. "I think I'll go with Crimson Goddess. I rather liked the sound of that." Scarlett grinned, though when Cheria started suggesting other nicknames, Scarlett frowned. Red seemed rather boring, and when she suggested Scarlett, her eye twitched slightly. "Oi, I don't really care what ya call me, but say the name Scarlett again and I'll have to hurt that pretty little head of yers." Scarlett warned grumpily. "Not t' put a damper on our little relationship here, but I hate that name, or rather tha person I associate with it." She lied, but it was a convincing lie. Only a reserved few people were allowed to know her real name and call her by it; her father and Cypher. She could even channel all her annoyance into her tone from the fact that Cheria had guessed her real name and probably didn't even know it. The good news was she could probably scare the girl out of using it in the future. "Neu then, I'll be takin' my leave." Scarlett nodded to Lark and made her way out of the center. Once they had walked for some time, Cypher finally piped up. "Where will we be venturing to next captain?" Scarlett looked thoughtful. "I've been debatin' that.... At first I was thinking we could head straight on through to Nacrene City, but lookin' at that last gym battle, I've had my doubts it'd be any good far trainin' anyone that's less experienced..." It wasn't long before Skye joined her, and seemed more than ready to leave. Well, someone was an eager beaver. Cheria laughed a bit before standing, following Skye as Sheena and Lupup followed. Of course, Sheena didn't stay on the ground for long. She soon jumped up and latched into Cheria's back and shoulders. Oh, jeez....She was heavier than Cheria remembered.

Leaving the city, Cheria stretched a bit and reached down to fix her shoe. It was off to Accumula. About time. After that, she woulbe in Nuvema and be able to buy a ticket to Vaniville and then be on her way to Cyllage. But, first....Cheria took Lupup's ball and used her PokéDex to get him off the main team. That way, she wouldn't accidentally use him in a battle or anything that could help him exceed her control? She'd use him against Grant, though. He was her strongest Pokémon.

Striaton City's architect was something to be adored. Ace himself preferred this style of architect over the modern buildings being put up. While crisp and clear design was beautiful, something about brick and stone was more appealing to the young male. Whatever the case, he was in the city for one thing.. the badge. Trekking through the city, Ace found his target, just down the street from the Pokemon center, the gym, doubling as a Cafe. Resting a hand on a hip, the male gazed up at the older building. "I never thought of taking on any gyms in Amarantha, so this should be interesting." The aspect of being a trainer, traveling the world... It had crossed Ace's mind, but he... he was to busy hating his life to think about traveling as being an option when he was a child. To think back on how much a spoiled brat he actually was... it made him tense up in anger.
Entering the gym, he found himself quickly greeted by a waitress. "Good Morning, sir. Are you here for a battle or a show?" The woman asked. Ace lowered his gaze to the woman for a brief moment. "Battle." He stated, looking back up to see a battle currently already in progress. "There will be a waiting period." The woman continued. "As you can see, we're already hosting a trainer. As we cannot tell how long the battle will be, you're welcome to a meal." Contemplating this, Ace folded his arms. He wasn't one for waiting. It didn't appear this battle would be over anytime soon either. "Oh, you choose Oshawott for your starter? He's very cute. You'll be taking on Cilan, than." Returning the gaze to the woman for a moment, he showed a look of confusion. "Oh, right. Explain, silly." The girl playfully knocked her head with a dopey look on her face. "In this gym, there are three brothers, you fight the brother who specializes in the weakness of your starter. You choose Oshawott, so you'll fight Cilan, who specializes in Grass-type Pokemon." Grass-types? Derosa would fair well, but not Aiolos. "On second thought... I may need to come back another time." Flashing a grin, he quickly turned from the woman and left. Ace wasn't the type to doubt himself, but this was a new experience for him. He'd never been in a Gym battle let alone seen one. If he had his team with him it would be another story entirely, but for now... Perhaps it was best to skip this gym.

Exiting the cafe gym, Ace adjusted his tie quickly before heading off towards the west end of the city. If he was correct in remembering the layout of this region, the next city was to the south west, but one had to traverse a route that heading west out of town, then south. Silently walking with himself in thought, the male hadn't noticed a petite creature following him. Her dazzling pink coat eventually caught his attention as he passed across a slightly frozen pond. Looking back, the shy creature quickly hid itself behind a tapestry. "What a beautiful coat you have there, love." Ace turned to face his shy follower, extending a hand towards the sheepish Audino. "Will you not come out from hiding so I may take in your beauty?" His gaze softened as he leaned forward, extending his length to the Audino. Derosa leaped down with Deus coiled around her neck.
Derosa and Deus certainly didn't make the Audino less shy, but with a bit more coaxing Ace finally managed to get her out from hiding. She approached slowly, with a coy smile. "There you are. That smile certainly suits you." Ace continued, now in a crouch to be more eye level with the healer. "Hmm... The Nurse Joy of this region are accompanied by your kind aren't they? Do you have a Nurse Joy?" Was the the one from Striaton City? A shy shake her head told Ace she wasn't... Then was she actually a wild Audino?
Standing back up, the male held a hand to his chin in thought. He'd heard of Audino, as many medics in Amarantha were accompanied by them as well. Having a healer on the team wouldn't be all bad... and certainly there had to be some potential in battle outside of that. "I've decided to catch you." Ace stated, pulling a Pokeball from the stock he'd received from Juniper. The Audino stepped back timidly. However, this was what she wanted... to get closer to the male, so she smiled beyond her fear, and held up her paws in an attempt to look like a real fighter. "Derosa, use Heart Stamp." Ace ordered. The rose-handed Pokemon grinned, and after setting Deus down, she leaped forward like a ballerina, ending up with a rose to the chest of the Audino. Struck back, the normal-type recovered with a push of her feet, pounding into Derosa. Derosa elegantly endured the hit, landing on her feet upright and ready to continue fighting... but the Audino wasn't fairing as well. With one Heart Stamp, the Audino was within catching range. Tossing the ball, Ace waited confidently for his new Pokemon to be caught.

His capture a success, the male chuckled devilishly to himself before finally placing the ball along with the others in his bag. "Welcome to the team, my Valentina." He mused. Leaning forward,Ace picked up Deus and Derosa. "Good work, Derosa." He praised the grass-type, before looking down at Aiolos... who seemed not to be bothered that he'd praised Derosa, unlike how Ace had not praised the Otter before. With a grin the male turned back to the path at hand and continued walking. Aiolos narrowed his gaze at Ace's back. Why did he get stuck with this man? With a hard sigh, the Otter started to follow, only to notice something shining where the Audino had been... Stepping up to it he found it was a scale, a Heart Scale, as Professor Juniper had called them. Aiolos thought for only a moment to call for Ace's attention to the item, but... What if he used it upon himself? Wouldn't Ace be surprised? With a little grin of his own, the Otter picked up the scale and it quickly burst into dust, coating the Otter's fur.... With it absorbed, he felt a new sort of.... feeling surge through his body. With a burst of energy, Aiolos quickly ran to catch up with Ace and the others.
Not long after passing a daycare and taking a stroll down a long path heading south, Ace came to a path going west once more. It wasn't long before he'd reach Nacrene, the next city. Already buildings and music filled his eyes and ears.... this was an artisan's city.... What beauty would he find here?

The goggles made sense to Sebastian now; Dave’ Pidgeot was a pretty fast flyer and without them he probably would’ve gone blind from wind slamming into his face so harshly. Still though, they arrived in Striaton with good time which he was happy about.
"Thanks for the ride Dave, I appreciated it." Sebastian replied as he removed the goggles and handed them back to the young man. Dave gave a smile as he took them and stored them away. ”No problem, happy to help.” He pointed down of the roads, towards a route exit. ”Once you’re done, if you head that way, you’ll make it right to Nacrene for the next gym.” Sebastian blinked and took a gander. Huh, really now? Well that was great! He’d be through these gyms in no time. "Thanks!" With that he gave Dave a wave goodbye and started heading further into the city. He’d find himself a map and a way to the gym.

Sebastian wasn’t expecting the gym to also double as a restaurant; but after checking a map and asking around that was what he found. It looked really fancy to be honest and made him… kind of hungry. When was the last time he’d eaten anything? It’d been a while to be honest. He could hear his stomach grumbling in agreement at the concept of getting food.
Stepping inside, he took a bit of a look around. It actually seemed pretty busy at the moment and the scent of food wafting through the air made him even hungrier. He… he probably wasn’t going to survive a gym battle if he was starving. With that pretty much decided, Sebastian stepped over to the waitress behind the greet booth; she gave him a rather wide smile, immediately pulling up a menu.
”Hello sir! Are you looking to dine?” She eyed Sebastian a moment, noticing the pokeballs on his belt. ”Or are you here to battle?” Sebastian opened his mouth to speak, his stomach giving a rather horrific groan before he could form any words. Wow, that was embarrassing. The woman looked surprised before offering a gentle giggle. ”Ah, I suppose it’s eating first then. Don’t worry, follow me sir.” Giving an appreciative nod, he followed after her to one of the smaller tables in the restaurant, taking a seat and browsing through the menu.
Sebastian ended up ordering himself a freaking delicious pasta dish that didn’t really last more than five minutes. Gracious, he was really that hungry. Taking a few minutes to relax and enjoy, sipping his soda and watching people outside, the man finally paid for his meal and got back to the task at hand. ”Was everything to your liking, sir?” The waitress inquired as she returned. "It was, thank you so much." Sebastian remarked with a grin. "By the way, I’d like to challenge the gym leaders. Is that possible…?" The waitress smiled. ”Of course! They’re always available to battle trainers.” She considered something for a moment as she collected the dishes. ”I just need to know what type your starter was, if you don’t mind.” Sebastian blinked. The typing of his starter? That was an interesting question. "Ah… a Fire-Type. I took a Cyndaquil in Johto." The young lady nodded. ”Thank you! I’ll be back in a moment to bring you to your battle!” Sebastian nodded, watching as she left. That was such a curious question.
Soon though she was back and leading him to the back of the restaurant where a battle field was set up. He didn’t even know that such a thing was in a building like this. That was crazy! At the other end, stood a three different fellows with wildly different hair styles. It was almost like they were going for an elemental theme.

Sebastian grinned and took the items from Cress, offering a little bow in return. That was a …fair assumption, but he wasn’t quite sure he wanted to tote exactly how much more experienced he was. He did have quite a few badges under his belt, but there was no real reason to mention that.

That’d been a bit tough but his pokemon had managed great! Finding his way back to the pokemon center, he had got his team healed up. When all that was done he searched out the route entrance Dave had mentioned before, beaming a grin and starting on his way to Nacrene. He’d be done with these badges in no time at this rate.
