Tjilaki felt a surge of determination coursing through her veins as she stood alongside her friends, facing the unpredictable Aether.
The chaos surrounding them seemed to grow stronger with each passing moment, but she refused to back down. With a quick glance at Urania, who was still recovering from her ordeal, Tjilaki knew they needed to act fast.
Just then some of the wires managed to reach out and grab some of people in the room and restrained them.
Tjilaki's heart pounded in her chest as she watched in horror as the wires snaked out and ensnared her companions, their struggles futile against the mechanical grip.
Selinur had been avoiding the use of magic here, the room was too small and too many people were around, but honestly if he could knock this cat like figure off the pedistal and leave them unable to properly deffend themself it might be worth it. He heard a call for a mauvian and he saw wires and other things but the senshi was rather focused on the task at hand - getting as close as he could to the enemy.
Watching where he moved, keeping his steps as light as he could, the senshi worked to close the distance as much as he could before deciding he was close enough to the one causing all these problems. Tapping his foot eh called on his magic finally. "Freeze up." The two words were a whisper, he didn't want to let others know what words activated his magic, never let them know so they could avoid it, and he was doing his best now to avoid his own magic so he could escape it. Because there was no telling how his magic would go...and if he'd land on his a** as well.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up. Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.
Ngome watched in awe as the group rallied together, each one bringing forth their unique powers to protect Urania and themselves from the threat of Aether. She felt a surge of gratitude towards her companions, knowing that they were all in this together.
Ngome wasn’t paying attention, didn’t notice that one of the wires had managed to latch onto her leg to restrain her.
Feeling the wire tighten around her leg, Ngome stumbled, her eyes widening in surprise. She quickly reached down to try to pry it off, but it seemed to have a firm grip, coiling around her like a serpent. Panic started to rise within her as she realized she was being restrained by Aether's wires.
With a quick glance at her companions who were focused on protecting Urania, Ngome knew she had to act fast. Summoning all her strength, Ngome pulled and pulled until finally, with a sharp tug, she managed to break free from the wire's grip. Gasping for breath, Ngome stumbled back, her heart racing with adrenaline. She knew they were facing a formidable opponent in Aether, but she refused to back down.
As she regained her footing, Ngome scanned the room, searching for a way to help her friends in their battle against Aether.
Aether's voice reverberated through the room, sending a chill down Ngome's spine. She knew that they were facing a formidable foe, one with a will of its own. As more wires appeared, snaking towards her with malevolent intent, Ngome braced herself for what was to come.
Then the wires to restrained more people.
One by one, the wires from Aether snaked out, striking at each member of the group. Ngome watched in horror as her friends were ensnared, their movements restricted by the relentless coils. She knew they needed to find a way to break free from Aether's grasp before it was too late.
Cynthus let out a high pitched shriek when the wires caught her. She struggled and fought, still shouting at the Chaos cat woman. “LET ME GO, YOU CREEP!! I’M A MINOR!! A LITERAL CHILD!!”
Even if she usually hated being treated like a child, she certainly wasn’t against falling back on it when she got into trouble.
She continued to swing her crook around, trying to dislodge the wires, though she was a little more hesitant now with her friends coming in to try and help her. She didn’t want to accidentally hit them!
Ugh. She needed to go bother the Code about getting a tiger like Amarynthos said. She could do so many cool things with a tiger of her own! Plus, the Code liked her. Cynthus was sure of it. Maybe it would give her something even cooler than a tiger!
Yvoire would have liked to hold Reims’ hand longer, but they didn’t have the time. Cynthus was caught and they had to free her! Yvoire did what he could with his parasol, stabbing at the wires. At least Cynthus was as loud as ever. They’d know she was in real trouble if she ever got quiet.
They could do this. Perdita hadn’t lost any of her confidence, even if she was worried about her friends. Even if she was careful. Even if she didn’t want to think so highly of them all that she underestimated Chaos. She didn’t. She knew what it could do. She’d seen it. She’d felt it. Chaos was dangerous. Chaos could destroy this world and all the others. That was why they had to keep fighting.
Perdita struck as hard as she could. They could do this…
Rose ran to help Cynthus alongside the others, her heart in her throat. She avoided what wires she could and stabbed at the ones around Cynthus with her spindle, unsure how much good wood could do. It was better than nothing, at least! She couldn’t not try!
There was a moment that he saw the wires snake toward Emain Ablach and his brows knit in concern, but when the wires avoided him and he went back to channeling magic, Promethei disregarded everything else that happened over there and focused back on the wiring.
This was the only way to actually stop Aether without being a Mauvian, he presumed.
The sound of Reims's shout about a friend made Mechelen's head swivel and she stared for a moment as one of the other people in his friend group was suddenly captured by one of the wires.
After a moment looking at Halle and Almere--both were fine, both were doing so good, she pulled her hand away. "I'll be right back, I want to see if I can help!"
If she could help, that would mean she wasn't lackluster. "Reims!" Mechelen said his name only because that was one of the only names she knew, but letting others know she was there was important, especially in all of this chaos. She made her way over and tugged viciously at the wires around the blue haired knight. "It's okay! You're gonna be okay!"
When the wires managed to grasp and bind Grieve it was like a button was pressed. "You clinting little can of s**t, rusty tube of ********' cat piss. The crusty mau who made you took you for a ********' litter box before shitting themself to death. When I get loose I'm going vestizt your calu'ohmanyah like you were a preshitvy enha mailicynyah uhgan elstat morenyah fresh out of Geltz the ********' Improbable's closet. Your..."
One of those novelty buttons that boomed out curses when you hit it. It was like one of those had been pressed. A lot. Those around her were treated a whipquick slurry of curses that devolved into languages that likely hadn't been spoken anywhere in centuries.
Every once in awhile she would pause to bite at the wires.
Grabbing at the wires wasn't working out that well for him, as he'd barely caused any damage before they started grabbing back. A glance around told him he wasn't the only one being attacked, and despite not having a good time about it, maybe this was for the best for the group? Others would be better at hitting harder and making sure their opponent went down quickly, so if Antisana could offer any sort of distraction, perhaps that was the greatest purpose he could serve.
In the seconds when they snared up around his arm, threatening to climb higher, he did have... a thought. Besides being tangled and tight, he wasn't being hurt. From something so robotic, he might have feared a shock or even some sort of explosion, but as far as Antisana could tell, no one was actually being injured by the fight.
Frightened, uncomfortable, sure...
From what he could see, Urania had awoken from that first attack- even she didn't seem damaged in any significant way. Just... confused. The thought didn't matter, because it was Chaos influencing this robot creature, so it had to be expunged regardless of anything else, but- he did wonder if it was not so evil a thing.
When more wires shot out to attack and more people found themselves bound, Halle's first instinct was to use his magic, block off the path of the wires from being able to reach Mechelen and Almere as well. It was an instinct to tamp down. First, his magic could be just as much an obstacle to friend as foe, protecting his friends could also mean blocking the movement of allies. Even trapping them in a base position. Second, these girls were so strong, and so capable, seeing Mechelen go to town made him want to stop and cheer if there wasn't so much going on.
Third, he didn't know how much longer this fight would be. It'd be nice if beating the robot and whatever the Mauvians were needed for solved it, but...
There could be a sudden blast. A collapsing tower. A larger and more aggressive form of chaos waiting to be exposed. If his magic wasn't necessary right now, it was better to save it for when it was. Even though he'd feel a lot more useful and control if he used it now.
Instead Halle took a deep breath and closed ranks behind Mechelen and Almere, moving along with them to have their backs and stomping down on a wire as he went. "Mechelen," he called, "if it looks like she's getting hurt, don't forget you can protect someone better than anyone else."
It wasn't that he hadn't heard her fear. It was just that, well...wasn't she really capable and strong? It was hard to imagine anything like that ever happening.

“Hold on,” Amarynthos called, but Cynthus was holding on–and holding her ground, too. He ducked to try and avoid her crook, just in case she swung it too wildly. The wires didn’t look like they were choking the life out of her so he wasn’t worried that she’d be crushed to death, but he didn’t know if there was some electric current charging, or if the Chaos was going to try and infect her, or–
There was an infinite number of bad things that could happen and Amarynthos wasn’t going to stand by for any of them.
He had an open space behind him, and for a split second he didn’t have to worry about hitting anyone with his staff. He almost wished he had his baseball bat, but what was this if not just a longer, more decorative one? He twisted it so he could keep the more fragile parts safe next to him, but he swept his staff bottom-first against a tangle of wires. He’d moved into place where Reims requested without any protest; Reims had a better view of the situation and he took his task of guarding this side very seriously while they worked to get Cynthus free.

“Soleiyu wouldn’t have wanted to get his fur wet,” Alastor huffed, but there was something like amusement in his voice. He enjoyed a fight, sure, but less so when Chaos and all of its effects were unclear. “Better us in the cave than him, anyway.”
Soleiyu might have been swept away by the current. Besides, he’d done a great job keeping an eye on the technology and managing the lights.
Shadows didn’t make the Chaos stronger here, he assume. Maybe he should have brought a flood light just in case.
Cynthus had been ensared by the wires, but she was struggling against them, and she had the other Knights doing the same. He did what he could to help and tried again to detach some of the wires. He didn’t know if Chaos needed a connection to control them, or if they were bound by electricity, but this thing was better off in pieces anyway. If a Mauvian was going to do anything about it, it would be best for them to have the space to do whatever they needed.

Reassured that Connie and Perdita were doing fine, Belmont felt less pressure to worry too much about them. He laughed, briefly, at Sessrumnir’s comment, but he didn’t need for anyone to explain that this was not the best time for conversation.
He couldn’t even tell if what they were doing was having any effect on the woman before him, but those wires were more concerning now than ever. He stomped on one with great force in an effort to sever its connection.
