Voyager, Squire of PlutoOf course he had immediately accepted the plea for help as soon as the word "museum" was read. He wondered what the other's museum would be like. It probably wouldn't be like a ship, so the shape of it was definitely a mystery. And Almadel did mention something about a "reward". Hopefully it was something he could take to his own museum for display. He hadn't yet been able to talk to Almadel by himself yet. Even if he was just as busy in the winter months, the humidity tended to suck all of the energy out of him as soon as he stepped outside. At least the museum had underground parking, so it only went up about 10 degrees versus the 20 it would if he had to park it outside. That was never fun in long sleeves and pants. Sure, there were bugs that they would need to fight, but maybe after that he could spend some time at the museum just to look around and definitely not take anything, but could definitely make mental notes of any of the type of displays this character had.

General ArsenopyriteThis sort of... help wasn't something that Arseno would have usually done or volunteered for, but the Queen had granted her allowance for Agents to answer this strange alien character's message, but to make sure they gathered information as well. And Arseno was definitely willing to see what he could find for this character. He was curious why this alien had so much trouble with the bugs. If he was strong enough, wouldn't he want to take care of the bugs himself? It was one thing to note at least, but it was strange. This could possibly be a trap by the alien as well, why he would do such a thing was something that Arseno couldn't imagine as of right now, but perhaps there would be more later. Or at least he might be able to find out why this alien liked coming to Earth so much. Arseno had heard of him, but had yet to actually seen him face to face. Now that he had, he couldn't help but wonder what this alien's goals were.

Commander VynVyn tried to smile, though it sat a bit tense on his face. He’d had plenty of time to get used to his rank but still sometimes felt as if it were undeserved, whatever the Commodore said to the contrary.
“Cadet,” he greeted Lysanna, then corrected himself when Rhysi approached too. “Cadets. I don’t know yet how many of us intend on going, but let’s look after one another. If either of you run into any trouble, don’t hesitate to ask for help. And if you meet any harm, tell Aliez immediately.”
Vyn was relieved that his fellow Commanders had joined them. Of those that had originally accompanied the Commodore to Earth, Andreiya had been, in Vyn’s opinion, one of the most reliable. And Aliez, though his combat skills still left something to be desired, was earnest as well as an accomplished medic.
“Let’s acquire what we can,” he agreed in Velenian. “We don’t have to destroy them,” he reassured Aliez, “but we should use this opportunity to see what this museum might hold. Maybe there’s something there that could benefit us that this Almadel might be willing to trade for.”

Yvoire, Squire of GanymedeYvoire spotted Reims not because he was easy to spot in a crowd—the dark clothes had a way of helping him blend in with the night—but because they were both lingering at the back so Yvoire didn’t have to look around too many people to find a familiar face. Plus, the large Ganymede symbol on Reims’ hat was almost like a beacon.
“Hey,” Yvoire said as he shuffled closer, offering an awkward wave. “Are you okay? You look a little tense.”
Of course, Reims frequently looked tense, at least when they were around other people. Yvoire himself still felt a bit shaken from what happened on Daedalus, so much so that he almost hadn’t come here tonight, but whatever this museum was shouldn’t be anything like that.
He hoped.
“Ganymede told me about this guy,” he added, keeping his voice low so it wouldn’t travel far. “I think he’s mostly harmless, but he steals stuff from other planets. He had something from Ganymede once. Maybe we’ll find stuff that used to be at our Wonders at his museum.”

Terebellum, Deep Space Senshi of Resonance
She knew of the creatures Almadel spoke of. Once, they'd found an infestation of the creatures in the Tenebri that had consumed some of the corrupted crystal of the deepest tunnels. It was the first concrete proof that someone was trying to poison the world with Chaos; though it had not been where they'd found the seed.
Terebellum's tail barely twitched, yellow eyes training on the agents of Chaos around her. She recognized the Vanguardians from that place of machines, but chose to stick to herself. Or at least, with the majority of the White Moon. While Tere was want to strike first at Chaos instead of working with them or along side them, Almadel was a neutral third... fourth? party and perhaps his museum would have some sort of relics that would be useful for reclaiming her world.
Second that one of those agents or corrupted senshi made a wrong move though? All bets were off.

Corporal Neryn
Assist, but do not trust Almadel. For all that Neryn did not view Lyndin's plan for Caedus to be morally or ethically correct, Lyndin still was one of their Commondores. His voice mattered just as much as their Prince's, even if they tended to lean towards Caedus's side more often.
Plus, able to harvest some of the kosopod's shells or sheddings? Or even smuggle one back to Earth for more research? They'd be a fool to turn that down. Moreover, if they could find anything to help Caedus and the Vanguard as a whole? It was worth the risk and any potential... awkwardness with their fellow Vanguardians.
The grouping of both sides of the war was concerning though; nothing ever went particularly well when Chaos and Order were in the same space for any amount of time. At least they had a more powerful boltcaster now and could wield it.
Neryn kept to the side, not exactly sure if they should join the other Vanguardians or go at it alone this time. They weren't exactly.. welcomed, most of the time. Given they sided with Earth and Caedus instead of Lyndin...

Corporal NaeriaNaeria didn't know what it would be like to find a colony of kosopods in the middle of the place that you were staying, but she doubted that it could be any more surprising than trying to befriend a human and one day having them inform you that they were gifting you a horse. Sometimes, she'd found, you had to learn to coexist with creatures that you were not expecting to come into your life. It could be a rewarding experience, but there was also a learning curve to it. He must have needed some advice on making sure his new roommates were well cared for, and to make sure that they had enough to eat without trying to get into his things. Naeria would argue that they weren't his things any more than they were the kosopods, but regardless, there had to be some kind of mutually beneficial solution. Oh. Oh.He wanted to squish them. The look on Naeria's face was one of pure horror. She huddled close to the rest of the Vanguard, nodding at Andreyia's suggestion but far too shocked and disgusted to say anything else for the moment.

Reims, Squire of GanymedeReims was always tense, but he was a little less tense when Yvoire shuffled over to him.
“Evie,” he let out a breath of relief. He thought he might have to figure out things on his own, but was grateful to see the other Ganymede knight. So much so that when Yvoire was close enough, Reims reached out with his good arm to wrap around his shoulders and pull him close for a quick hug.
He couldn’t help it! He was relieved to see him. And he was pretty moody after having his identity guessed by Amarynthos. Although he supposed if anyone was going to be able to guess it would be his teammate. And he supposed it was a good thing, seeing as he and Ephesus were able to help him when he needed it. As reluctant as he was to accept it.
Reims just also had to fight the guilt of knowing Yvoire would be pissed to know he was getting a hug from Riker, the jerk who made fun of his locker and teased him about various things throughout the year. That was before, though… He didn’t do that anymore.
“Stay close to me. Effie and Mary are up front. I haven’t seen any of the others yet.” Although he wouldn’t blame them for not going there. He couldn’t imagine Cynthus wanting to exterminate things. Well… maybe she would. In a cathartic way.
“Yeah, I’m okay. Got in a fight and hurt my arm but Mary and Effie patched me up,” he gestured to his right arm. Not that anyone could see the bandages under the jacket, but they were there.
“You doing okay? We’ll have to collect whatever Ganymede things we can find.”

Eternal Ida"Ch-Chari?" Ida's eyes widened when a familiar and exuberant voice called out to her, it's owner appearing between bodies in a flash of dove grey and blonde. She hadn't seen the senshi of Seagulls in... years. Five maybe? She'd gone quiet on the powered front and so much had happened in Ida's life since then that seeing her now felt like the woman had stepped out of some dream of the past.
"Chari!" Ida almost threw herself at the other woman, flinging her arms around her waist and squeezing tightly. "Its... its been so long! I didn't know you were back in the city. When did you get back?" She said, her voice a little muffled from her cheek pressed against her shoulder.
"God, its... so much has happened and this is a terrible place to try and catch up, but I'm so glad to see you!" Where did she even start? And this truly was one of the worst places for it, considering the company they were keeping and the task they were going to be embarking on in moments. "Do you have time to stick around later? So we can talk? I want to hear what's been going on."
Standing here like, holding the taller woman, so many memories were flooding back... things she'd set aside to deal with the now. So many people she'd lost touch with over the years.

General BenitoiteBenitoite stood towards the front of the pack, if only so Kafka could see the alien merchant he'd told him about. He'd told the corrupt about the merchant because he knew his partner would find them beyond interesting - story worthy even. The man was a merchant who dealt in trading for goods from space...similar, and yet not exactly the same, as what Kafka did as a civilian. He figured the other would appreciate the alien very much...and it seemed he was right.
"Yes, that is him. I don't entierly like the sound of what he's describing either...we'd best be on guard but we will be going into space to deal with this matter." A good idea, as far as he could gather, because it seemed the merchant was hinting at gathering useful information from across space to help them. The idea of information, of knowing if something dangerous were coming their way, certainly appealed to the petite blond.
"Mmm, don't worry. I think I'll be looking at what space artifacts he has collected." Something he knew Kafka was likely to be doing as well, though the other would be more intereste din the objects themselves than the blond. He would be reporting on everything he saw because this was a mission.
"Keep close and be safe, use your magic if you have to on the bugs." He'd keep as close as he could, speak at the ready, he wasn't going to be returning home in need of medical attention if he could help it. Standing at Kafka's side he kept close, close enough there wasn't a gap between them, as he reached out a hand and gripped the others sash. Lowering his voice as he spoke, his eyes stright ahead on the merchant who had brought them all here. "You'll keep safe Kafka, you don't have permission to get hurt...this'll be your first big battle and I'll have your back." Eternal Dark Mirror Melpomene.Moving closer to his fiance at their request, he'd been trying to get closer to see the alien better, Melpomene nodded his head slowly as he spoke in a near whisper. "I don't like that he failed to mention the hive size...how many are we fighting." There was, in his opinion, really only one reason to keep such information from the assembled group. If they knew the number of kosopods they would be less likely to help - they didn't sound all that safe to go fighting. But the weak spots...if they could disable the bugs they could flip them onto their backs and go for the soft spots. Whispering that to his partner, rather quickly, he wondered how many senshi here might have magic to disable the bugs, If any did it would be good to know about.
WHne his partner motioned a lieutenant over the blond nodded his head and held out a hand in greeting. "Melpomene, Melp for short if it's too much to say." Which he knew it was, he was just glad Chalcanthite could manage it.
"I'm not sure I trust that number he's giving...if he couldn't lure them out than it's a guess...and that doesn't sit well with me. The three of us should keep close, my magic should be able to help us well enough." Though others would be better to have around them. To his fiance's mention of taking note of names and magic he nodded his head slowly, he'd help out if only because it was his fiance asking and he wasn't going to not help him - he had to help him. Eternal Deep Space SelinurSelinur was here because of course he was, simple as that really. There was a museume full of ancient artifacts, perhaps some things which would interest him, he did wonder what the merchant kept in this museume of theirs. Not only that but perhaps there would be thigns from his own home planet...thigns he hadn't seen before or hadn't seen in a very long time. There was potentially a lot to be learned and discovered and he was all for that. The bugs aside, he knew very well what kosopods were, he was more interested in information and what this building held inside it.
Ready to get moving, even if they had an untold number of kosopods to deal with, Selinur was all ready to get into space. It was better than here, it seemd his senses always wound up stronger in space than they were on Earth. They were never would they were on his planet though, a shame really, but he was pleased nontheless.
The teasing of information, of warnings, from Almadel had the blond haired eternal moving closer towards him. "And if we manage to clear your musume of the kosopods...and the damage is limited. A private tour of your immense collection - that could be arranged? I'm certain you wouldn't mind regaling a person with stories of how you managed to claim such treasures for yourself? Perhaps even demonstrations of how some work?" He didn't care what others thoguht of his questions, he was allowed to ask things of Almadel. The answers might not even be useful to anyone but he sought information - knowledge. The hunger in his eyes...to see and to know more. "Can I claim that as the price for my help? Considering what you're asking us to deal with after all, and what we'll be saving. You know what damage will come to everything you own should we not help - or should we somehow fail..." As if they might fail on purpose...even he couldn't arrange that, not with so many here.

Eternal Corrupt Hestiacurrently: lurking behind Helio Hestia had to admit, Mr. Almadel's series of magic tricks prior to the clock striking 10 had her total and complete attention. She'd chosen a shadowed little area on the periphery of the area in order to better collect information, but instead ended up focused entirely on the alien's casual show of skill. Flushing a little, she stepped out to join the large group more openly, moving to stand behind Helio, hands clasped neatly in front of her as she truly began to pay attention. Well. This was clearly a job suitable for the Senshi of Housekeeping! Standing even straighter now, practically vibrating with an eagerness to show off in front of her teammates, Hestia quietly assured Helio, "We are going to destroy so many more of these than the White Moon." As if this was going to be a competition and of course he was concerned about winning a medal. Noticing Cybele, she beamed at the other senshi. She'd heard that the Princess of the Hunt had survived being killed by her General King, but seeing is truly believing! Hestia hoped her little knight had survived the dangers of being a page, as well. At least long enough to see her princess rise once again.

Sailor Grieve of the Collapsecurrently: hootin & hollerin with Roka Arriving with new old friends, Grieve sauntered up to her favorite skulker and clapped them hard on the back, as if she was already squashing bugs. "KOSO-KEBABS! YEAH! LET'S BARBEQUE!" The tall yellow banana demon pumped her fists and shouted like it was time for a college kegger and did her best to look like she hadn't been periodically killing off Negaverse underlings and dumping the bodies on her world. This involved both avoiding eye contact and also making too much eye contact with various gathered individuals. Grieve gave her best toothy, extremely innocent and helpless smile to all and sundry. Cadet Cypher Action: Existing and listening. Like all other Vanguardians, Cypher received the Commodore’s message on his ComTech device. However, he had already been to the hill where he’d last met Almadel two years ago and saw not a table full of treasure, or a mysterious merchant looking for an intriguing trade. No. What he found was nothing more than an ornate wooden sign with a gilded frame that had a message scrawled on it in fancy ink. Here he’d come hoping for a conversation, an outside perspective with things weighing heavily on his mind, but it seemed Almadel had no need for trades this year and instead sought help with a task and was offering a handsome reward. But Cypher had little need for such things unless it was something that could help aid him in earning a promotion by being useful to their mission or finding a way back home. Either way, he had already decided well before receiving the request from their leader that he would come as requested and see if there was something he could do since there was little else to do with his time with this semester at the college he’d been attending coming to a close and summer break beginning. The Commodore’s words of caution were worth noting and Cypher was intent to heed his wise warning. For now though he simply kept his head down and took in what information was given about the artifacts and layout of his museum.

Chibi Super OortIt had been a while since he had last been to Destiny City.
In part because of the fact that he was currently in Ireland studying for most of the year and in part because his parents had decided midway through last year to spend more time out of the city.
His father had couched it in the terms of them wanting to be closer to the family and to see more of his older brother Scott, but a part of Briar couldn't help but wonder if the general Destiny City weirdness had finally gotten too much for them.
It was kind of chance that he was even in Destiny City himself, but his grades had been high enough for him to have the option of spending his third year studying abroad and Briar had taken it.
And perhaps there was a kind of irony in there somewhere that it had led him back to the States, given that it was part of the international program and the States was home, but Briar hadn't dwelled too hard on it.
He had remembered vaguely that the annual Star festival was around about this time, and his parents were currently in Destiny City at the moment, so Briar had hired a car and made the drive up - and for some reason he had taken his henshin pen along with him.
Oh he had hesitated over it given that he hadn't powered up in a few years, and was still no stronger than a Chibi Super, but in the end he had taken it along with him anyway–
After all Destiny City seemed to be particularly weird around city events, and he wasn't sure if his time away had changed that any.
Although perhaps it was a good thing that he had brought it along, given that curiosity had had him decide to check out the request for 'part-time assistance' that had been on a sign by where he'd met an unusual merchant some years back.
Which was how he had found himself powered up as Oort, on that particular Friday evening - powered up and out of place, given the number of unfamiliar faces that appeared to have also decided as he had to check out the sign–
So he had ended up hanging awkwardly as close to the fringes as he could whilst still listening to the tall and charismatic merchant that he vaguely remembered, a neutral expression on his face.Quote: Oort is open to any and all interactions, but please quote me or I may miss it

Corporal Caelyna
Almadel was a fascinating person, in Caelyna's opinion. A mysterious man from beyond the stars, with a collection of all sorts of strange and unique artifacts. She'd never met him herself, but if the Commodore wished them to investigate him, it only seemed prudent to show up.
Not least because her own efforts had borne little fruit. But perhaps a large gathering and a chance to observe others would provide the spark she needed to pursue a new avenue of research.
It felt...strange, sometimes. Being here, on this world, having not seen her parents in so long. Knowing that Velyria was dead. And she hadn't spoken to Fae-Fae in so long...since soon after their embarrassingly public kiss, and it was hard not to draw a parallel there.
It felt like existing in a lonely, quiet haze. Maybe this was what she needed. A new adventure and purpose to embark upon.
And there were others here. Vyn, Aliez, Lysanna, Andreiya, Rysi--fellows in arms.
Caelyna had not been a quiet person for most of her life, really, but she was quiet as she approached the others. Slid into place with a nod of greeting and little more.
And if she looked tired and drawn, if her braid seemed messier and lazier than usual--well, maybe no one would comment. Surely this wasn't the time to be worried about silly things like that. They had bigger problems. Like how to prevent a wholesale extermination of the poor insects.
"I agree," she said in Velenian, voice soft, "it would be in our best interest to save what we can. It certainly isn't their fault that they're hungry."

Half-youma General Lavendulan Times like this Lavendulan genuinely wished she had a tall friend whose shoulder she could sit on since being a 5’2” tall half-youma in this growing crowd offered her no advantages and made it hard to hear what was being said. For months now she had been looking forward to the Starfall festival to begin. Not because of the lanterns, wishing tree, or the meteor shower. Those, while enjoyable to watch in the moment, were forgettable memories once they’d ended. The two things she wanted to do most this year were 1) finally catch that cryptid that awakens this time of year in the reservoir, and 2) confront Almadal about the Mysterious Rift Crystal she’d received from him. As of yet, both goals were unmet. Which was perhaps why Queen Laurelite’s request couldn’t have come at a more fortuitous moment. It sounded like a simple enough mission that at the very least delayed her immediate return to Rift and, from what she gathered about the Kosopods from surrounding conversations, might also offer her something to sink claws into since that reservoir monster continued to evade her. Win win… Laven thought to herself as her tail swayed behind her “Hmm… Shame I can’t bring Tallulah with me though.” She commented to herself. Would be nice to have someone here I could trust. I’ll make it up to eir when I return.
