Basic Corrupt Hylonome -
50 HP

(( Dodging spear roll, or not dodging spear, the dice will tell me in a second or two ))

Edit: Ow, that hurt.

Basic Corrupt Hylonome - still in med bay, might be staying there for a bit. Busy interacting with Taaffeite and Psilomelane and Valeria. Then getting speared. She's a busy girl ))
40/50 HP

At first Hylonome hadn't noticed that she had company as she riffled through the metal cabinets. But when others came into her line of vision she thought the only polite thing to do was to make conversation. Both had been kind enough to address her personally and so Hylonome smiled softly before speaking softly in response to the question posed of her, "I don't think there's anything really back there. Maybe just more open space. I think everything in this area is all in front of us. It'd make sense to have things spread out into multiple rooms but maybe they weren't thinking of practicality whenever this was. Who can say though," even as she watched as the other agent proceeded to climb over the row of cabinets. Instead of following Hylonome sensed another senshi come up beside her before sighing. She held up her brief raided treasure of a scalpel before turning in a circle. "Hi Psilomelane. I wouldn't say no to the offer of company," and as she glanced around at the other members that were currently investigating more objects in the room she realized that she hadn't given her own name. Clearing her throat she grinned, "sorry. I'm Hylonome, senshi of Edelweiss."

As the trove of supplies was brought out of the cabinets Hylonome looked over the gauze and suturing kits with interest before briefly flinching at the antiseptic. That stuff would sting like a b***h. Hopefully there would be no need for anything that they were finding here. Even as another senshi came over to investigate did Hylonome perk up at the question. "I don't know much besides your basic medical knowledge but I am able to heal a little through my magic. It's limited and everything but it's always a bonus."

It was probably because she was busy with answering others that Hylonome hadn't been aware of the spear that had been thrown in her direction that she failed to dodge the dangerous projectile. Feeling the impact of the weapon as it sunk into her flesh did Hylonome cry out. s**t that had hurt. The spear tip had sank its point into a portion of her upper left thigh and had stuck there.

Staggering the senshi looked aghast at the spear shaft before sitting down on the med bed. Medically-induced shock had claimed a hold of her and she moved to pull the spear out, wanting to rid herself of the vile thing as soon as possible. Even as she had placed her hands on the spear's shaft did she drop them once more. Wasn't it a bad idea to remove objects in situations like these?

Moving wasn't an option. Pulling out the spear wasn't an option ... not just yet.

General Faustite
HP: 95/100
Magic uses: 0/2 (offensive); 0/3 (enhancement)

Faustite hissed a blistering sound when the wave of energy knocked him backward. He'd only just released Galvorn and the man — youma — was already swinging. Was he mad, then? Stirred into a fury after ******** knew how many years trapped on the cusp of youmafication or death?

As Faustite glanced toward the targets, he grimaced at their appearance. Not mad enough to attack agents — yet — but agents were already attacking him. If there was a chance to reason with him, that chance may have already vanished.

"Galvorn!" Faustite shouted at the creature. "There are no knights here!" Not that he could feel much of anything aurically; they may have all been blind to signatures in this facility, somehow. "We're all Negaverse officers!" <******** me," he muttered to himself. They'd gone this far without incident, but now they faced a terrible one — Galvorn had youmafied, and now they had a fight on their hands. Whether they could cajole him or not, people were getting injured here. And if Galvorn wouldn't listen to reason, then they needed a way to stop him quickly and painlessly. If he wouldn't stop, then they would have to dust him, and Faustite suspected the key to that might lie with the room itself.

"Jet," Faustite called on the tablet. "Can you command him to yield?"

Super Sailor Niter
HP: 75/75
Magic uses: 2/2 (basic); 2/2 (super)

Oblivious to the goings-on around him, Niter kept tapping away at the floor. It was interesting to him that the database for this place had a file on one of their enemies; he hadn't seen much of the facility itself, but given that they were in what looked like a conveyor belt production facility, Niter had assumed that names wouldn't necessarily come up. So… What did they make here, that they would need files on their enemies?

Niter hummed to himself as he chewed his lower lip, trying to think up something else to search. Or maybe — his text window wasn't necessarily just a search bar? He hadn't tried command line prompts before; maybe they'd be useful here.

But he didn't know anything about whatever OS this database used. Was there some kind of guide somewhere? Niter typed HELP into the field and waited for something to populate.

Super Sailor Psilomelane
HP: 75/75
Magic uses: 3/3 (basic); 1/1 (super)
Med kits: 2/3

"Nice to meet you, Hylo — oh my god," Psilomelane's hands immediately covered her mouth as she looked on at Hylonome getting speared through the thigh. "Hold on," she managed to gasp out.

This was beyond anything she had prepared for with first aid, but she couldn't leave Hylonome to sit there on the bed with a spear struck through her. They didn't have tools to cut through the metal shaft, unless one of those more outlandish-looking tools in the med cabinets had something that would do so. She didn't know what to expect out of most of the stuff stashed in there, but the other option was to let Hylonome suffer instead. She wasn't about to do that.

She summoned to hand and opened up one of their issued med kits. As she dug through it, she found most of the contents didn't apply to something like this. Gashes and wounds, yes, but a puncture straight through the thigh? Absolutely not. She only found some painkillers, and that seemed hardly suitable to what she might be going through. "Take these," she offered regardless.

"I'm going to see if there's something in one of these cabinets that can help." She crouched onto the floor and started digging. "My sphere is mirages, so I don't have any ability to heal. What about you?" If she could heal herself after, or if someone else could, that'd be preferred.

General King Jet
HP: 125/125 - 1 = 124

Jet tried very hard not to laugh at Aquamarine’s reaction. He was already pressing his thumb to the cut he’d made on his finger.

He wanted to reassure Aquamarine that he wasn’t going to drop dead, just like he wanted to reassure Heliodor that he was welcome to join them in inspecting the dagger…

But it seemed as though something was happening with the slumped form of Galvorn. He was not just waking up, but finishing the process of youmafying as well.

And attacking.

Jet hissed curses under his breath. He didn’t know how useful he would be when it came to a confused General who thought they were there to steal his research but he had to try something. He trusted the others to take care of those who had been already injured while he tried placing himself between the General and the others.

Faustite clearly had the same idea and Jet paused only a moment to nod to show he acknowledged him.

“General Galvorn, I’m ordering you to stand down,” Jet said as he approached the many armed and long-necked General. “We’re not here to take your research. We only just discovered this place. We’re on a reconnaissance mission here in the Rift.”

He wasn’t trying to confuse the General to the point of acting out further, but he wanted him to maybe realize that they weren’t his enemy.

Even still, Jet held his hand out by his side, ready to summon his weapon if necessary.

“We were looking for what happened to all the youma in the area. They’ve been keeping their distance.”

Super Taenite
HP: 75

“Yeah, as awesome of an idea as that is, I don’t think people want to be caught in a fire tornado right now,” he said with a lazy salute to Benitoite.

Speaking of his magic…

He spared a glance at Cymophane, who clearly had the same sudden concern and idea.

The pages that they’d already inspected were quickly scooped up and Taenite deposited them into his subspace pocket.

“Their interest in transmutation has a lot of Philosophers’ stone -- lead to gold -- vibes,” Taenite said lowly to Cymophane. “There’s been research into, uh, biological transmutations as well, although that was, like, with chicken eggs and s**t,” he rambled quickly to Cymophane, who he knew was probably more interested in his relationship with Faustite than chickens, but they would have time to talk about all the other stuff later.

“There were obviously youma here at some point, otherwise why have a drawing of them. The connection between weapon and ring and youma…? What if the reason the youma are avoiding this place is because they don’t want to be part of any experiments?”

Eternal Kamacite
HP: 100

Kamacite wasn’t exactly happy that his suspicion was right that Faustite showed up as unknown because he was part youma. Or at least that was Faustite’s assumption as well.

General Galvorn was waking up, Faustite had been one of those who’d been near the blast and Kamacite immediately wanted to jump up and make sure he was okay.

But he was also aware that they were running out of time. With so little space, there was no way his magic wouldn’t blind everyone in that room. Once again he felt useless…

He glanced over to Niter’s search selection and suddenly remembered there was another name he’d seen recently. A whole set of messages between Galvorn and another General. This time he typed in Chelonium.

“Rosie, if things get bad… you’ll need to cover your eyes. You as well,” he nodded to both Senshi inspecting the information with them -- the only two within range of his voice at the moment.

General Aquamarine
Keeping the dagger; shouting at the ones who jumped straight into attacking.
HP: 100

Aquamarine didn’t mind that a Senshi (Heliodor) joined them, even if he looked like he did. He made no effort to control his face, which generally wore a bitchy expression at the best of times. He didn’t like Senshi, barely tolerated the ones in the Negaverse, but at least this one was trying to do their ******** job instead of standing around like a useless fool.

He allowed the Senshi to get a look at the dagger, but they didn’t get much further in their examination before s**t hit the ******** flew. Agents and Senshi attacked. Jet, naturally, put himself in harm’s way.

“I swear to—... Jet!”

Aquamarine kept the strange dagger. If the situation continued to devolve, an extra weapon might do him some good, and though he might have accepted Heliodor’s assistance, there weren’t many Senshi he trusted enough to offer them a weapon. (Kamacite, maybe. Cymophane, if Aquamarine was feeling generous. Albite was less a question of loyalty and more a question of competence.)

“Stand back. Don’t rush in,” Aquamarine told the Senshi (Heliodor).

He then proceeded to do exactly that, following after Jet with a worsening scowl. Aquamarine grabbed the first lunging idiot by the back of zyr uniform (Larimar), shouting at the rest (Benitoite, Valeria), “What the ******** is wrong with you? This is a ******** General. Try to ******** de-escalate the situation first. If any of you hit Jet by accident, I will murder you where you stand.”

Eternal Cymophane
Rifling through diagrams; communicating with Kamacite.
HP: 100

Though Cymophane might share Benitoite’s doubts, he also thought it best not to have a large group of them attacking at once, if only to minimize the chance of someone getting hurt via friendly fire. Thus, he didn’t follow (yet), hanging back by the diagrams with Taenite. If weapons and magic were about to go flying, they should probably save what they could of whatever this research was supposed to be.

Maybe just… covertly, since taking research was exactly what mister youma General was accusing them of.

“Your guess is as good as mine,” he told Taenite.

Ugh, and he’d really been hoping they could finish this without further incident, so they could get back to gossip.

Cymophane rifled through the diagrams, flipping papers up to look at those beneath, turning them around in case there were any stray notes on the back. He had no clue what Galvorn was doing researching another General. Both of them seemed pretty suss, as far as Cymophane was concerned.

Using his communicator rather than shouting over the noise and risk drawing the attention of Galvorn, Cymophane tried to get a message to Kamacite. “Hey, am I wrong to assume you’ve got access to more information there on the floor? Any chance you’ve found anything on a General Chelonium? Or what this Galvorn guy was doing with weapons and rings? There’s something about a dagger here, too, but I’m stumped about what it all means.”

Captain Roselite
Searching for information about the weaponry.
HP: 75

Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no.

Roselite flinched, then almost cringed away. Suddenly, the room had become much more dangerous. Roselite ducked, even though he was already pretty low to the ground. Galvorn was angry and confused and a youma now, and while that last bit wasn’t necessarily bad, combined with everything else, it did make him a bit more unpredictable.

He tried to focus on the information both Kamacite and Niter had searched for, tried to process it, tried to put things together in a way that made sense. There were so many pieces of the puzzle scattered all over the place, some that might still be missing.

Kamacite issued a warning, and Roselite nodded in understanding. Then, Cymophane’s voice from Kamacite’s communicator breached the commotion.

Rings and weapons. Youma. Knights and Agents. A dagger. There was a dagger… somewhere. Whatever those memories were that some of the others were triggering… and…

There was far too much going on here. Roselite was at a loss, and the building anxiety didn’t help. He could barely think.

Kamacite and Niter were already searching again. Roselite picked a word and went with it, typing “Weaponry” into the search field.

Captain Seraphinite
Looking for anything about TRISS in the glowing blue info 2 + 1 = 3
HP: 75 / 75

Seraphinite hadn't been able to look up the two names Faustite had called to him over the communicator, but he'd jotted them down on his tablet, keeping that mental note for just in case he had another moment to look things up.

Down in the lower chamber, he was surprised to find he did. Curious about the glass plates and the glowing information they projected, he approached one, eyes scanning the glowing blue data for anything about the name Triss. It wasn't quite the database search function, but he felt it wasn't a bad place to start.

At least till s**t started hitting the fan. Seraphinite cursed, about to summon his blades when the body of the General began to move and... clearly took on youma aspects--he wasn't sure if that counted as a half-youma or full youma. But the Captain remained where he was, hands empty, when he saw Jet begin to speak to him. Not that he felt better about that--or the danger he was putting himself in--but Aquamarine was far, far closer... so Sera, cussing, resumed his search for the moment.

Super Rigel
Asking Galvorn about Arnaud 1 + 2 bonus = 3
HP: 75/75

Well. Maybe he wouldn't get unfathomable Lovecraftian beings, but he did get to see some interesting bodyhorror. Rigel was willing to accept that. Since entering the final room at the end of their little mission--or well, what he figured was--he'd hung back, aware that enough people were beginning to search over every inch of the place. He'd been curious about those Pluto signs and that dagger but... well. Snooze and lose, and all that jazz~

But he'd hardly lost out on everything. He watched the should be dead General rise, multiple arms unsheathing weapons from his own body. "Very Elden Ring," he murmured with unmistakable awe. Shame he didn't have his camera on him.

Seeing Jet moving up to order the youmafied General to stand down, the Super Senshi somewhat followed--somewhat. He kept a good distance from the lot of attacking senshi, agents, and a very angry and shouting Aquamarine. Looking up at the extended neck and head of Galvorn, Rigel didn't think he had anything to lose by shouting, "We've been fumbling around a while trying to understand this place. This room was called Arnaud's chamber, from what I've seen. You protecting it along with that research?" He paused a mere second before adding, "Or are you Arnaud? I'm getting confused by all these random names." Like Gale and Caz... but he wasn't going to mention anything about the knights while the General was rampaging.

Did he think his rambling words would do much? Not really, though he was more curious to see if the General would give a response to hearing the name he'd heard the knights use in that memory.

Still. Blue eyes jumped between the General King and the General. His magic might be able to slow the youma down, if needed. Or at least he had the words on the tip of his tongue, if he felt the once-man was too close to Jet than even Rigel would prefer.

Lieutenant Spectrolite
Mentioning the whole password issue to Galvorn about his research 1 + 2 = 3
HP: 50 / 50

Spectrolute usually stuck to Seraphinite's side like a burr. She knew she was safer there. But she'd actually been happy to see Rigel again, and when the Captain went off to look at some of the information displayed in the room, she'd followed after the Super Senshi. Of course... she hadn't anticipated that'd mean following him closer than she'd wanted to where a fight was breaking out.

As the General King was ordering Galvorn down, and people were attacking the General (not that she could blame them--he looked scary as hell)... the fact Rigel actually called out to him made her gape at the man. Till... well.

She apparently got infected with the same stupidity he had.

"General Galvorn," she called, lingering beside Rigel. "Sorry, but for someone this upset about people getting close to your research, why did I locate notices directed to you about needing to update your password? I believe part of the comment was that everyone can read your email. Or... something along those lines." Her voice wavered as she spoke, reality checking in that this was probably the stupidest thing ever to be saying to a raging youma... General.... person.

No. This was Jet's something-or-other yelling at zem. (Companion? Friend? Hangers-on? Something. Someone with General-King Jet's ear, was the point.) And that meant he was someone ze didn't want holding a grudge or deciding ze was unfit to command.

General King Jet
HP: 125/124

“It’s okay,” Jet tried to assure both Aquamarine and General Larimar with the smallest glance over his shoulder, not daring to take his attention away from General Galvorn. He kept his hands up, hoping to indicate to General Galvorn that there wouldn’t be any further attack unless absolutely necessary.

He understood the desire to rush forward and defend his own. But Galvorn was part of the Negaverse, for better or worse.

“Pluto Knight must have done something to him. Some kind of stasis. For all we know, he thinks we’re the enemy. It could have been anyone who was hit by those spears.”

If anything, it was like a wild animal being cornered, fighting for their life. Fighting for what they’d worked for all their life. And they had a medical bay down there. They could get everyone patched up and this whole thing figured out -- if they didn’t lose their chance to talk to Galvorn.

“We can help you,” he said then to the youmafied form of General Galvorn.

When Tama touched the last Pluto symbol, hidden amongst some of the smaller boxes, he witnessed the last piece of captured time that those symbols stored.

Many of the knights lay dead, just as many of the agents lay slain by the weapons they had produced. Galvorn had just removed his voulge from the back of the Jupiter knight, who was prone in his own pool of blood. A handful of knights still clashed with the few Negaverse officers able to wield their weapons. Those who were still standing were each exhausted, their movements sluggish and the power behind their strokes diminished.

A contingency of knights had disengaged from the captains and generals they fought to focus on Galvorn. Two had swung at him and he guarded against their stolen blades, while the other one buried a discarded spear in the man's back. Galvorn cried out in pain that he hardly felt.

Backed into a corner, the Cosmos Knight shook her head at the scene. Her allies were fallen and the fight would take everyone if it could. As she watched, the knights that grouped up on Galvorn had begun burying more and more weapons into him. His swings against them only slowed enough that he could start popping starseeds. As she watched, the Cosmos Knight's eyes shimmered and tears streaked her face.

"Even if we die here," she stated as she clasped her hands together above her chest. "This place will never be yours, Arnaud. You won't have us in death. I'll make sure of it." A small flash erupted from each of the rings that the knights wore that bore carved planetary symbols on them.

The rings claimed by agents glowed now, too, via the Cosmos symbol inscribed under the bands of each of them. Each agent that pocketed them would feel the burn of Order magic while in possession of them. The monochrome ebbed, and the present scene resumed. Tama may find remains with a ring inscribed with a Cosmos symbol near the edge of the room.

Niter would find a list of actions described to him when the help menu was accessed. Some of these actions included SEARCH, COMMAND, WEAPONS, LOCK, UNLOCK, EXPUNGE, and more. The list was astonishingly long.

When Kamacite searched Chelonium, he activated a video of the officer in question on the floor where he accessed the interface.

"Surprised?" The smug, smiling General asked as he sat back in his chair, hands laced behind his head. "What, did you think I wouldn't guess that you'd look me up in that little database of yours? See if any of your other lackeys did some research on little ole' me? Guess again, my traitorous friend. I been onto you since they made you the head of that operation.

"I know you want info on me, but you get info on
you instead. Lessee… I know you and your old knight buddies went by codenames, for one. Like civilian names, but you lot were smart enough to keep 'em fake. Yours was Arnaud, and one of your buddies — think the Saturn knight? — was Gale. Your group was pretty anti-Negaverse. Then you got captured and took the option to join when it was offered to you. 'Course, that's just me surmising, since you weren't spotted in the knights' ranks for a while and some fresh General named Galvorn popped up on the roster.

"And hot damn, did your career take off quick. Always picking fights with these knights, and winning, too, but the knights always survived it. Fast forward a minute and you got your hooks in this neat little building and they let you keep it. Let you head it up, too, like you were oh-so-loyal.

"Funny thing is, though, your knight friends can still get in without so much as a scratch. Their ambushes always seem to succeed, too, and they grab every shipment they can get their hands on. Pretty soon, they'll have enough stockpiled to outfit an army. And who do we have to thank for that?

"Don't worry. I ain't no snitch."
Chelonium leaned forward and his hands dipped below the screen. "I'm sure you'll die a hero, just as soon as your factory takes care of you…" The transmission cut off as Chelonium was looking away, and turrets deployed from the ceiling. Two of them targeted Kamacite and fired beams of magic at him.

Roselite would find that weaponry brought up a console instead of information. It allowed Roselite to choose a weapon (designated by its location in the room) and issue commands to that weapon. Currently there were two turrets deployed, one in the southwest and the other in the southeast portions of the room. Five more turrets were available to deploy. Another option was greyed out and glitched. The options for each turret included TARGET, DISENGAGE, UNDEPLOY, and SECONDARY.

Seraphinite found that TRISS had little information in the database. The name was established as a codename for the Cosmos knight in the knight group designated as NUISANCE. From what they had gathered, she never spoke and only attacked when acted upon by the Negaverse. When engaged in combat, she preferred to hang back and support the others in her group.

As Psilomelane searched the med cabinets, she would find a peculiar-looking tool in the style of an otoscope sealed in a package. Most of its information had faded, but the backing to the package suggested that it may be used as a cutting or cauterizing tool.

Youma Galvorn
HP: ??? (-36)

Larimar's cut gouged deep in one of Galvorn's shoulders, where Benitoite's ice spell had frozen the limb. It shattered soon thereafter, the broken-off limb now unrecoverable. He had many more to take its place, however, and the youma seemed more incensed than wounded.

Valeria's attack halted him from pursuing the star-covered agents any further, though it shook him only long enough for him to pursue new targets.

Taenite and Cymophane were able to place the papers in his subspace, but by looking at them long enough to glean more, Galvorn had noticed them digging into his research. "Thieves!" The ex-General let out a booming cry as he twisted and wrenched another pair of weapons free. Aiming for those still in the research area (Taenite, Cymophane, Arsenopyrite), Galvorn slammed the butt of his weapon into the ground. The group had but a second of warning — the ground beneath their feet grew bright, just before Galvorn summoned an explosion that burst from the ground up.

He then turned his ire on those attacking him, swinging a blade, a halberd, and a shotel at Valeria, Benitoite and Larimar respectively. His torso grew longer, more serpentine the more he fought back against his attackers.

Perhaps he would have heeded Jet and Faustite if pain hadn't blinded him to reason. "Silence!" He countered, swinging a sword at each of them. "If you call yourselves agents, help me fight this incursion!"

When he heard Rigel shouting that name, he turned on the senshi at once. "Stop accusing me!" He hurled a spear at the speaker, then at the second one (Spectrolite) who was getting smart about his passwords.

Kamacite may roll 1d10 (+ combat bonus) to dodge the magical beams from the turrets. If 7 or over, he takes no damage. If 6 or below, he takes 10 damage and the area affected by the beam feels like it is burned.

Any characters looking to interact with the bolded items may roll 1d10 to do so. This change is to ensure players can do multiple rolls in the same post (eg roll to dodge and roll to attack, or roll to dodge and roll to investigate).

General King Jet
HP: 125/124 - 40 = 84

“Stand down!” Jet called out, but this time it wasn’t directed just at General Galvorn, but at the other agents in the area. “Everyone! This is a misunderstanding --”

Galvorn was obviously pissed, and for good reason. He was being attacked by his own kind.

He knew Aquamarine was going to be pissed at him, but he was still trying to de-escalate the situation.

As Galvorn pulled out the blade, halberd, and shotel to attack Valeria, Benitoite, and Larimar, Jet summoned his own weapon and braced himself. He might have taken the damage, but managed to keep the three from getting injured, despite them attacking Galvorn before.

“I said stand down,” he hissed again, holding his glaive out in front of him to block Galvorn from attacking again, ignoring the blood that soaked his jacket sleeve.

Basic Corrupt Hylonome - still in medical bay area, keeping low profile, accepting supplies from Psilomelane
50/50 HP
Med Kits: 3/3
Basic Spell Level 3/3

At first the meager offering of pain relief pills from Psilomelane's med kit was a let down. However Hylonome wasn't going to sya as much. Instead the senshi looked away from the spear that still remained embedded in the muscle of her thigh before bringing forth her own emergency bag as she liked to call it. It had been Prehnite's idea and she had run with it. Water was most likely the best idea for taking pain medication with but something had her reaching for a bottle of soda instead. Unscrewing the lid the senshi took a shaky sip of the beverage before swallowing it down. After waiting a moment Hylonome popped the pills that Psilomelane had given to her into her mouth and took a larger swig of the soda in order to wash down the meds.

Hopefully they would start to act fast. Remembering that she'd been asked a question Hylonome glanced to the other senshi and nodded, "my magic currently can heal but only small things. This would be far too much for it to deal with."

She groaned once more in extreme discomfort ... before trying to keep an eye on what was going on further past her little bit of the room. She needed to pay attention.

Captain Jadarite
HP: 70/75
Backing up Jet

Jadarite had been, from the moment they'd seen the slouched form of the General, prepared like something like this to happen. She understood that they were dealing with time magic that nobody fully understood. She understood that they were in the home of the youma, who had regenerative properties anyway.

When the shockwave rolled of of him as he began moving again, Jadarite's axe was already in her hands. He was hissing about defending his research, and she was about to whisper something to Faustite like, suppose we do the same thing to him that we do to the last one who was getting snippy about his paperwork?

Jet stopped her.

Jet stopped her by trying to do the same thing that she had tried to do so many times. He turned to a group who were being defensive, or offensive, with lots of power that they were ready to use on anything that even mildly offended them. Jet looked at that and he said no.

There was a potential ally here, and they were threatening it. There was a part of her that wanted to argue with Jet, to attack, when Galvorn kept lashing out with weapons, but then Jet was taking hits for others in an attempt to salvage the situation.

The Infiltraton officer in her had nothing but admiration for that, even if there was no way she was doing it herself. What if she ended up with scars?

"You heard him," she said to the others instead, a hint of power behind her own voice. She stepped away, letting her axe fall from her fingers and vanish into supspace.

"Back off. Give Galvorn some breathing room. Stand down."

General Faustite
HP: 95/100
Magic uses: 0/2 (offensive); 0/3 (enhancement)

Faustite couldn't even draw in a breath before the ex-General swung on him. He ducked, escaping what would've been a decapitation, as he turned on the others that hailed him. "Damn it all," he muttered next to Jadarite.

"Doubt he'll see reason now," he warned her. "He's already been attacked, already witnessed some of ours stealing his research straight out of his office. Couple that with Chelonium's investigation. With being frozen in time for ******** knows how long. He's snapping from one fight from years ago to this one in seconds. Doubt we can deescalate this." If Jadarite and Jet still wanted to try, however, he was willing to let them do so.

"Everyone," Faustite called into his communicator as he distanced himself from Galvorn, "Disengage for now. Take up positions by the magic that's been time-stopped. Wait there to see if deescalation works. Find a way to liberate the magic from its time stasis; we may need it if he continues to attack."

Faustite is giving orders for everyone to take up positions near some time-stopped magic attacks and look for a way to release them in case deescalation fails! Of course, your character is free to act as is IC!

Corrupt Super Fafnir
HP: 75

Crouching quietly, Fafnir watched the others type out commands. As much as he wanted to go poking about, he felt a little out of his depth with the futuristic terminal. All around the room, flashes of monochrome told a story out of order and he kept an eye on those as well, absorbing information from every direction as it came to him. Galvorn had been an Earth knight. He’d been corrupted, obviously, and ran this facility. The other knights had attacked and tried to appeal to his emotions. The battle had been very, very bloody… and it gave him something of a shiver to see their own names start to populate that list on the floor. He didn’t much care to see theirs next to the dead.

Part of him wished he could call Tama over, instead of letting him muck about with the symbols. His tech-savvy mind would have been better use here, but he was far from one of the leaders of this mission. It seemed one of the other captains investigating the floor felt much the same. It brought a quirk to his lips as he nodded acknowledgment to him. He watched with interest as Faustite came to view the information they’d found and his eyes followed him as he left again, returning to the man frozen in time.

As his attention shifted, there was a sudden, piercing cry and suddenly everything was happening very quickly. Fafnir’s head snapped up to find the Galvorn man full of color now and very much moving… and not in a good way, since the weapons that had been in his back were in his hands now. More weapons dropped from the ceiling and fired in this direction, sending Fafnir scrambling out of the way. Where the ******** was Taffeite? If things were going south, the girl had no actual weapon to fight with and it was very much his responsibility to look out for her. Hello was over by the General King… and he was going to need to look out for himself.

Hearing the call over his communicator, Fafnir left the terminal and retreated to find one of the magic bits in stasis, looking about hurriedly for whatever Pluto symbol held it in place.
