America Jhones // Lt. Brassite location: wandering away from the lounge roll: 10, 4 words: 116 (293 total) Seeing her boss in civilian wear, America gave him a wide berth. Like, it was one thing to have a meal or watch a thing with Mr. Sharp, or any other Adult Authority Figure. But it was waaaay different in a party setting, and not like, party in the General Precious Moments getting shitfaced at Negasgiving -sense. This was the club. You don't hang out with teachers, parents, or middle-aged bosses at the club. That's just super weird! So while he looked really nice, America chose to pretend she didn't see him for the moment. She'd just give him a compliment later, away from the club, while bragging reporting about what a great job she'd done.

Mauvian Desiree (Civ Glamour) Location: Lounge (Bar) -> Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 6, 6, 7, 9, 6 "Yes, the ones in the ocean." Though they were right, anything that far down needed some sort of light source with which to see by. Then again not everything down there looked as delicate or pretty as jellyfish did. "I think it's time for me to do another batch of rounds, we'll meet again Akito." Giving Aloysius a look, letting him know she'd see him back home after all this, she waved and carefully wandered around the edge of the room. Sticking close to the wall so she didn't bump into people, Desiree's eye sparkled as she looked at the floating jellyfish. Poking the glass, she smiled and was content watching them for a bit before finishing up her rounds and getting ready to head out.

Tanwyn Whittacre (Lieutenant Weissite)Location: Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 1, 1, 9, 9 Whatever was good for anyone else was good for him. Literally not a single pressing thought crossed his mind here. Didn’t care if they watched the fishes or danced or drunk or committed singularly to the retrieval of glowsticks, so it suited him fine to go to the dance floor. Maybe even amused him, though might’ve amused him more if he wasn’t third-wheeling it to Nat and Basyl’s ‘I wanna be better for you’-fest. All that to say he didn’t care what they did and barely needed to stick to them if they didn’t want him to. So when Ivory pulled him back, an indescribable doubt festering in his eyes, Tanwyn waved the other two forward and stopped just off to the side of the entryway with Ivory. “Yeah? Why’re you being weird now?”

America Jhones // Lt. Brassite location: aquarium hall roll: 10, 4, 4, words: 163 (456 total) Dancing her way toward the aquarium, America stopped when she saw a group loitering. One of them the Eye of Hurricane Drama earlier. Staying just outside of the hallway, she pulled out her phone to take a quick selfie that very much emphasized all her Everything along with capturing the group behind her. Then America was firing off a text to a recent friend who'd sadly appreciate only half of this particular scene. text to Eion look at this weird a** threesome they look like theyre about to start a band that ends with one of them joining a cult muscle mountain is really playing half the ******** club tonight he must smell like money and bacon to these ppl let me assure that i look like SUPER good tonight though???? i feel so bad youre missing out on all this ME!!! but theres also a lot of cute guys here too I GUESS so youre DOUBLY missing out by being boring tonight

Preston Burroughs (Captain Cryptomelane)Location: Restroom -> Lounge (Bar). Dice Roll: 8, 2, 1, 2, 4. Preston felt steadier as he left the men’s room, but still not entirely at ease. He still didn’t understand what was happening, much less why. After all, he had been to gatherings with large groups of people before. He didn’t enjoy them. Preferred to avoid them because most people didn’t like being around him and he felt similarly toward them. But he didn’t get like this around people, generally speaking?
Not that he had previously known of, anyway.
At least looking pale and trembling like a baby deer seemed to inspire people to give Preston a wide berth, if not outright stay away from him. He found his path from the restroom to the bar much easier, marked by fewer people standing in his way (or, really, just standing around but unwittingly obstructing Preston’s path by doing so). Not a steady trip by any stretch of the imagination, but what did it matter, as long as Preston found himself an open seat at the bar?
Which, thankfully, he managed to pull off.
He thought he noticed a familiar mane of ginger-red hair as he wove through the lounge’s crowd, making his way to a seat where he could stake some kind of personal space bubble. But if that hair did belong to Brassite—or, more appropriately right now, to America—then Preston didn’t tarry long enough to find out.
He didn’t have much experience with alcohol. As with most things widely considered fun, Brother Horace had forbidden it amongst his flock. Only the wine used for the Eucharist had been allowed, and at that, only ever during the Mass. Outside of that, there had been one conference where he’d joined Dr. Sturm in having a few drinks, hoping that his dissertation committee chair might not have looked like a complete train-wreck if Preston could make his behavior seem less like what it was.
Preston didn’t recall that conference fondly.
Yet, as he stared at all the bottles along the back wall, as he thought about the potential of having seen Brother Horace’s car around campus—he decided.
When a bartender came to him, Preston told them, “Jameson on the rocks. Please.…… Thank you.”

America Jhones // Lt. Brassite location: aquarium hall roll: 10, 4, 4, 1 words: 275 (731 total) America's dancing steps softened into more of a sway as she made her way toward some of the private rooms to check and see if a few neglected club goers need to re-up their glowsticks. And maybe to peak? Just a little? There had to be some sketchy people doing sketchy stuff up here right? The first door she opened just a little and very quietly, intending to "knock" only after getting a good gander at what they were up to. Which was...uh... Well he was good looking. But also kinda passed out. L:etting herself in, America first slipped the faded glowstick out of his curly black hair, then jabbed the new one into place, startling a sad yelp out of him. " Wake up, guy. Don't you know better than to sleep in a place like this? Are you trying to get trifled with by some drunk?" "Well...yes?" His tone was soft and carrying in that way some people had, the sort that told you it was their job to be heard. He gave her a sly, flirty smile, and opened his mouth to give her some kinda shitty line, but then his eyes dropped to button pin and the bold, red 15 on it. She had to give it to him, he deflated like all the bones in his body got vacuum sealed, like how they put those mattresses in flat packs. Sulky, he turned away from her with a little shoo-ing gesture, "Go away." "Yeah okay, but also ******** you?" "Go back to whatever gradeschool you escaped from." America backed out of the room, both middle fingers raised and twisting.

Marissa Singer: Half-youma General Lavendulan Location: Aquarium Hallway Dice: 10, 1 crying , 7, 6, 7 = 31“Dinner, right…” Something a normal person would suggest. Clearly, she had at some point stepped over the threshold of normalcy, probably around the time she became a General, but likely before that if she were to honestly consider at what point she finally let go of the grief of losing her humanity and accepted what she was now. There was no separation between work and life for her especially when Wolframite was assigned missions away from Destiny City leaving her alone in their home. More often than not it felt like she was just doing things to look busy; her research project had made no progress in several years now, even with the piece of ore she received from Almadal, and her own desire to reclaim some semblance of a human life beyond the three hours given was more like a shadow of a dream she once had. Marissa knew that she should be happy for Samir, glad that he had found someone who could hopefully bring him joy and support him in a way she couldn’t just as a friend or a fellow General. But despite the smile she tried to force into place, her heart felt sad. It was as if the one remaining thread that helped her hold onto her humanity was unraveling and soon the pendulum would swing toward more feral tendencies. Perhaps she was already there though, what with her suggestion of sparing. Something she’d never have proposed if she’d been a Lieutenant or Captain still. She looked over to January briefly, an apologetic expression shared between them, “I think you should go. It sounds like there’s been a lot of missed moments and you two-” she shook her head. “You three should catch up.” “I need to take Tallulah home anyway.” To the Rift, but Samir could fill Jacob in on that since he knew her personal youma.

Poppy (Corrupt Eternal Chrysocolla) Location: Lounge (bartending) Dice Roll: 10, 7, 2, 3, 10
People were starting to head out at this point, which did reinvigorate Poppy a little: with less people around, less bodies and noises and stupid nonsense, it was easier to keep her head clear. It wasn't that she didn't like crowds? But she didn't exactly really love them, either. They were a neutral concept, albeit the people in larger crowds usually annoyed her, which - admittedly - a lot of things did.
But people were heading out, and that meant she could go hunting again, keep a stronger eye out for glowsticks. It was so easy. (And, admittedly, a lot of these people were kind of wasted. She'd know.)
==========
Soleil (Captain Kosmochlor) Location: Dance Floor > Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 6, 1, 9, 10, 6
The dance floor was great, it was nice, she liked the attention and the movement, but sooner or later Soleil knew she was inevitably going to drift on back to the hallway. She couldn't help herself! The glowsticks were an impressive design, but what she really cared about was the sea creatures, or animatronics, or whatever they technically were. Probably magitech, was her guess, but that covered an insanely broad range of things; Mautech wasn't exactly the same thing as Mercury Knights threw around, and even Mautech differed a little between Chaos and non-Chaos Mauvians. But she could spend hours just staring at these things, trying to cue herself in on anything about how they worked, and why, and what had been done for them to work at all. ==========
Ashton (Corrupt Super Aschera) Location: Dance Floor Dice Roll: 9, 3, 7, 10, 10
It was easier than it probably should've been, but, Ash guessed, the people who were still here had already been drained enough they weren't being quite as perceptive anymore. It suited him just fine. At some point of exhaustion -- or maybe just from getting enough lounge freebies -- he'd hit a second wind, traded a few numbers (that he wasn't sure when or if he was actually ever going to get to hit up, but one never knew!), and only needed to duck off to a private room for a few minutes to catch his breath at one point. He wasn't an athlete, he couldn't stay on his feet forever and not expect his legs and his lungs to complain about the whole thing.

Phedre DeCour: Corrupt Super Meridiana Location: Lounge Roll: 2,9,10“Sometimes having too many doors open is a bad thing, moderating who those are open to is the best thing you can do for your own mental health. The last thing you need to do is let someone in that’s toxic.” Lessons learned from high school, and later in college. “I think it’s a good idea to close all the doors sometimes. See who reaches out and slowly let people back in. You’ll learn quick who is worth keeping around.” Phedre offered Kayden a reassuring smile. “Just make sure that the people you keep in your life will support you.” Her gaze drifted down to the strawberry lemonaid as a for instance. “It looks like you have a fair number of glowsticks, and I have several myself. Do you want to go drop them off with me and get some fresh ones?”

Nataniel Khellasati (General Rakovanite) Location: Dance Floor Dice Roll: 1, 9, 8, 7, 4
No one argued, and Nataniel took that as a good enough sign that there were no objections to the relocation. …Which was, admittedly, not exactly what he’d hoped for. If even just one of them had said they’d be happier anywhere else Nataniel could’ve used that as an excuse to avoid the dancing… Alas.
Ivory did keep Tanwyn back, but he and Basyl were waved forward, and since Basyl had very kindly asked to do something, Nataniel really had no choice but to oblige.
The dance floor was raucous with the sound of heavy electronica and a swarm of wordless voices. There might have been a dj somewhere, but Nataniel couldn’t see him and certainly couldn’t hear him. It was dark- sort of. The intermittent flashing was surely a medical hazard for someone, but it meant Nataniel’s eyes never quite adjusted. He could barely even recognize his own fiance right in front of his face.
Overwhelming, sure, but it also meant if someone saw him, they were incredibly unlikely to recognize him.
They hadn’t brought any accessories of their own. Even if the glowsticks didn’t affect him, he didn’t want to pose any more reason for Basyl to take an interest in them. If they were out of place with their hands empty, Nataniel would just have to accept that. He might have asked if this was what Basyl wanted, if this made him happier for the outing, but no one would’ve heard it anyway. Nataniel certainly wasn’t going to fight the audio output and win.

America Jhones // Lt. Brassite location: aquarium hall roll: 10, 4, 4, 1, 6 words: 125 (856 total) A little while later found America sitting at the bar with a fancy glass of coke, phone out and scrolling through the various selfies she'd taken. Nearby was the familiar creepy maid senshi, who'd apparently opted for leather tonight. Somehow she made it all look like it could still be a maid uniform, straps n'all. Just give her a different backdrop, like a dungeon in need of a good mopping. "Boy troubles?" Hearing the older woman's gentle murmur, America perked up like a bloodhound on the scent. Turning to look, she saw the other was reading off her phone. "Cheering and venting... hmmmm." A slow, wide grin stretched across America's features, "Honey, you gotta friend with some boy troubles? Cause boy are you in luck!"

Samir (General Lopezite) Location: Lounge Dice Roll: 9, 10, 10, 9, 2
“We can coordinate something,” Samir said easily. A spar, a swim, a cookout. He was flexible and easy going so it didn't much matter to him as long as everyone else was comfortable.
Right now, he wasn't sure any in the group were.
He wondered if there was something he'd walked into, or if his presence had brought something with it, but he didn't take anything to heart. He flashed Marissa a smile, understandingly, and nodded to her and January.
"It was really nice to see the two of you. I guess I could squeeze in a little more work while I'm here." Since Jacob had suggested it, at least. "Marissa, I'll send you a message later, we can all make a plan to meet up whenever we've got free time in the schedule?"

"Doubt anyone would reach back out, that would only make sure that I'm alone...but yeah. We can head to the back and get some more. This lemonade is delicious, by the way..."
She wasn't going to reject the company and nodded at the woman to go, and she would follow.
